Philly’s Best Polish Restaurants | Eater Philly

"Another great Port Richmond deli for when you need ingredients in a pinch, Polmart carries imported Polish goods like pickles, jams, Lazanki, and other Polish pastas. Plus, there’s a strong selection of Polish chocolates and candy." - Natalie Jesionka

A wonderful visit and excellent selection with helpful staff. The kielbasa sticks we ate on the way home we're delicious. We saved some for our company from down south! 😆

It's a REAL Polish deli! Bought some stuff I can't find elsewhere. All of it delicious.

This is such a great place. I highly recommend the cold cuts, which taste so much fresher and better than chain ones like Boars Head or Dietz (sorry, but it's true!). It's in Port Richmond so everywhere there's great kielbasa, but the "domowa" one here is IMO the best one in the area. Also really underrated desserts and chocolate, with always new stuff coming in to try. The family that owns this place is really hard-working (they're open everyday!) and always are super nice, so you get to support local business and pay better prices for better products.

My favorite place to visit in Philly. It feels exactly like being in a corner store in a Polish town. Everything is always fresh, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the place is always clean, and the prices are fair. Some things to try: obviously, the kielbasas, smoked rib, "Morski" cheese, Almette cream cheese spread, pate, smoked mackerel, brine herring (look up recipes on how to prepare it), Wedel chocolate, pączki, - I could go on and on. Best to bring a shopping bag with wheels because you will want to try everything :-)

It is an attractive place to not only a polish customer but also to the average person on the street. They have a great deli lunch meat section and a host of basic dry goods items that are all in polish. For me it is the excitement of trying something different and not knowing it is and getting some pleasing surprises. The store has been recently renovated so it is very open and colorful and looks like it is saying to you "try me".

I love Polmart!!!! A very small store selling imported goods from Poland! Small space but fully stacked! The deli variety is excellent and the staff are very fun and caring. Highly recommend!

I would've given 5 stars but there's always room for betterment. We usually travel to Kowalonek's in Shenandoah, Pa for our kielbasa. My Polish wife prefers it. BUT this Welshman thinks that Polmart reg. smoked is superior. It's very moist and stays that way as a left over. Perfectly minced, herbed and smoked. It IS the best. Found farmers cheese and dryed 'rooms there too.

Yelp
I love Polmart for many reasons, but most of all I appreciate the freshness, selection and the value. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I loooove the energies and potato pasta stuffed with meat (pyzy). Sooo addictive. Kielbasa also, and so many different kinds! Best kept secret in Philly ! Shhh. Don't tell too many people....or the secret will be out..
