Oh the memories!!! For all my fellow Jackrabbit Alumni, Poly Burger will forever be known as TOMY'S BURGER. Tomy's holds a dear place in my heart, This is where all the high school kids used to come and grab food before and after school for a cheap price. As I recall this was also a frequent hang out spot where kids would often get into trouble, never me of course lol....
Location- on the corner in a plaza about a block walking distance from Poly.
Parking- is readily available in the plaza's parking lot, watch for pedestrians that often walk or ride their bikes randomly around the parking lot.
Atmosphere- Fair warning, this isn't a 5 start joint, heck they barely started accepting debt cards here, so don't expect anything fancy. There are about 5 tables inside and about 5 or so available outside for dinning in, depending on the time of day you might want to take your order to go because it's not in the best of neighborhoods.
Food- French Fries- to this day probably one of the best fries i've had. Something about the seasoning salt you add yourself and the fries being served in a paper bag that you shake to mix the seasoning salt just makes me feel all warm and toasty inside. Don't forget your side of ranch to dip your fries. Chicken Teriyaki here is also one of my favorites, I practically grew up on that stuff while in high school. It normally comes with rice and salad, but you can opt to swap for french fries. I normally get no rice and all toss salad or if I'm feeling dangerous a combination of 1/2 salad and 1/2 french fries. Soft serve Ice Cream is a must if you can squeeze it in, and for about $1.75 you gotta make room. Definitely a childhood favorite... makes me miss the good ol days when coming here.
