Google
Classic burger spot that’s hard to find these days. Stumbled across this non-assuming corner burger joint that definitely feels like a remnant from the 50s. Missed breakfast but apparently they have an awesome breakfast burrito. Their teriyaki chicken is also apparently fire so I’ll need to come back to try both of these. I got their burger combo that was true nostalgia. The fries feel home cut and that seasoning salt at the cashier stand kicks it up a few notches. Burger was classic no frills but hit the spot, better than most overcharged restaurants and a nice change from the overdone smash burger craze. The meal was pretty affordable too. Plenty of parking and friendly customer service as well. Will definitely be back.

Google
I ordered club sandwiches. They were really good and fresh! The ingredients were top-notch, and everything was perfectly balanced. Highly recommend if you're looking for a satisfying and tasty meal. I'll definitely be coming back!

Google
This place doesn’t miss! Been coming here for over 20 years. Breakfast burrito fire! (Don’t forget to ask for the hot sauce and some ketchup) French fries fire! (Don’t forget to add the seasoning) Chili cheese fries best in town! All of the teriyaki dishes especially the plate beef or chicken highly recommended!

Google
Classic cheap burger joint. My wife says they have the best French fries in the world. Add the seasoning salt.

Google

Yelp
The burger was surprisingly awesome! I didn't have much expectations on arrival but the service was great and the food came out fast and fresh. Shout out to the cooks in the back! Will come back again to try another burger. Burgers here are bigger than you'd think.

Yelp
Have been coming here since i was a kid! Love everything about poly! Their food, price, and they are fast! I always call ahead even though they will have the food ready in 5-10 min. They do need an upgrade on the building but it does not affect the food lol

Yelp
Amazing food. The onion rings were bomb, really affordable food. Price owners are super nice and staff are pros. And amazing strawberry shake.

Yelp
Good day people I'd just like to say Poly Burgers Double cheeseburger is out of this world and the chili cheese fires omg.

Jesse M.

Yelp
Delicious pastrami burger. Fast and friendly service. Casual atmosphere. Takes credit cards. Always a pleasure to stop by and grab a quick bite.

Yelp
The teriyaki plates with fries and salad is delicious! Hole in the wall but a gem at heart. The service their is great. Don't forget to put the season salt on the fries in the counter. They take phone orders but no deliveries.
google avatar

Marietta M.

Yelp
I graduated high school 17 years ago and I still go back for extra crispy fries with a side of ranch! It never disappoints.

Yelp
I've been to Poly Burger's several times for lunch and they have always been pretty consistent. This little burger shop is popular amongst locals. Everyone seems to love their burgers and fries. I personally like their pastrami chili cheese fries, burgers, onion rings and zucchini fries. Besides what I have mentioned, they also have soft serve, sandwiches, salads, and rice bowls. Oh and they have breakfast items as well. Their food is very affordable and the portion sizes are good. And they take card. I wish they offer a drive through but they do not. Parking is plentiful though.

Yelp
Honestly, it's hard to compete with Poly Burger (used to be Tommy Burger back in the day). I don't know how exactly they make their burgers or fries but they cook everything to perfection every single time. Every time I think about Tommy's, my mouth waters. I've never once been disappointed in this place and please take it from me--I've lived in Long Beach almost my entire life and Tommy knows what he's doing here. They've got other stuff on the menu too like teriyaki, tacos, quesadillas, seafood, and salads but their specialty are their burgers and fries for sure. And all for a great deal. I also appreciate that they haven't really changed the look of the place; they've kept it looking like it did just when I was a kid. Pretty sad that they took out the old arcade games in the back corner, but the taste and 90s vibes still lives on. Service is always quick and friendly here, they don't miss a beat.

Yelp
The best location to not only get burgers and fries but a Terrayaki plate as well. I usually order the Beef Terrayaki plate with rice and fries on the side. The service is quick and the owner is very friendly. It is an older location with limited seating but lots of parking place.

Yelp
For this visit I was with 2 friends I ordered the Teriyaki chicken bowl and onion rings, my one friend had the teriyaki burger and fries, the other had a cheese burger and chili fries. The teriyaki bowl was steamed rice with a generous portion on chicken in sauce. The chicken was cooked well the teriyaki sauce was a bit too salty for my taste and I would have appreciated something green. The onion rings were standard frozen rings they were hard and the onion was no longer soft and moist. The teriyaki burger was cooked well the bun was soft there was a generous portion of teriyaki on the top of the burger. The fries were crispy outside and fluffy inside. T the cheese burger was well cooked with a good charred flavor. The chili cheese fries were small in size but flavorful. Service is friendly.the restaurant is clean but warn . There is limited indoor seating and the booths are a bit cramped . Parking is plentiful in the lot shared with the center. There is a small patio. Price wise it was moderate.

Yelp
Raw chicken sandwich! So gross! Hope I survive this! He would only give my money back for the sandwich too, it was a combo.

Yelp
Worst portions ever. I got a pastrami with fries and regular drink, $17. The sandwhich was smaller than my hand. It's literally a pastrami slider, rip off BIG TIME
google avatar

Johnny B.

Yelp
Always good eating here. Pastrami burger, fries (you can season yourself) and Chili burgers are some of our favorites. Nice people and quick service

Javier H.

Yelp
Food is good but TOOOOO over price. Tell me why 4 teriyaki bowls with 4 drinks is worth $63.66?!?! I might as well go eat at an actual restaurant for that price smh. I use to go here so much but it's insane on how pricey it has gotten. It's not even about being broke, prices are just ridiculous at this point
google avatar

Sowon P.

Yelp
Solid burger joint but their teriyaki plate takes a special place in my heart. The teriyaki sauce is soooo amazing. I love their ranch sauce and always ask for it on the side. The service is friendly and efficient. I never have to wait too long for my food no matter how busy it is.

Alex R.

Yelp
If I would give this place a zero I would. When I got home I was eating thru my bowl and I found a piece of what seems to be metal in my bowl.
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
The chili cheese fries are fire crispy good cheese and nice seasoning can't go rong I will be back soon #richeatsswashere
google avatar

Yelp
Good food. Good prices. Service is pretty good too. Been there a few times. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken plate.
google avatar

Sammie S.

Yelp
Still the same owner/staff! Used to come here every day when I went to poly. Decided to go in today for a quick eat and food is still the same as I remembered. Your usual quick burger joint. Still as good as I remembered with good prices. Fries are still crispy as always. Service is good too.

Toge I.

Yelp
The foods are overpriced and not worth the cost. Alone, a large drink is about four dollars for a medium at McDonalds.
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Best chili cheese fries old late post but I had to show some love with jalapeños and #thefoxsauce
google avatar

Yuri J.

Yelp
the fries are seasoned so well, and the fish filet burger is hands down the BEST. But my favorite will always be the teriyaki bowl--the sauce is sweet and savory and the salad is so fresh! Everything pairs so well together. The breakfast burrito is also SO FILLING and full of fun flavors!

Barbara P.

Yelp
we ordered the bacons double cheese burger, onion rings, FF and 12 wings. The food was absolutely amazing with huge servings! The customer service is outstanding ! This restaurant did not disappoint

Lemon G.

Yelp
I'm sure the fries are still complimented with seasoning attached we can add to our liking. I find that the only thing separating from the other charbroiled burger chains around town.

Hayden G.

Yelp
Price is very good for the food. Portions are good & milkshakes are fire. Large fries is a whole back, I come back often!

Yelp
Tried this place while visiting Long Beach for a short trip. The burgers here are amazing. It's not the prettiest place but the food here is great. The place was full both times I visited yet the food came out fast and surpassed the flavor I expected. I really loved the chicken teriyaki plate. It came with huge chunks of chicken that were juicy. That sat on a bed of rice that has soaked up the juice from the meat and was so freakin good. The fries and salad on the plate were great and I was happy with how much good food was on my decently priced plate! Ordered my girl a burger and we shared my fries. She really enjoyed it and said that she didn't expect it to be so good considering it was a small burger spot that didn't stick out at all. Humble yet great is all I can say about this place. Also be sure to try their breakfast burritos. They're stuffed with eggs, papa's and bits of bacon and sausage!

Yelp
I raised my daughter on poly burger breakfast. The owner is a real cool dude who loves the community he serves . I came here every day during the pandemic and nothing changed . It can get busy at times but thats also a testament to how many people eat there
google avatar

Richelle N.

Yelp
Really tasty food. The cheeseburger meal is delicious and you can extra season your fries (they have the seasoning on the counter). The portion size is good and the chicken nuggets are nice and crispy! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty burger that's more traditional in style.

Yelp
So today I went to purchase me a bacon cheeseburger special cut in half. Came to work only for a bandage to fall out my wrapper. Was told they're not giving me my money back nor a new sandwich. So the cook apparently cooks with no gloves on and don't care for our safety. That is totally nasty. I will never return nor give them none of my money again. Been going here 10+ years. They lost a customer. Well my whole house

Nikki D.

Yelp
I came here to get some chili cheese fries and a burger and it was very basic. Your better off making a burger at home and the chili for the fries must have been a week or more old because it was very dry and dark. Also the bacon on the burger had a very weird taste to it. N E Ways 0/10 would not recommend.

Yelp
When I first originally moved into the area I was excited to find this place. After years of coming here I have since become a little disappointed in their customer service and the quality of the food. Everything normally taste pretty good. Until my experience yesterday. I called my order in to order a fried zucchini and cheeseburger. The zucchinis are clearly frozen out of a bag zucchinis. The cheeseburger is the typical quarter pound burger it was about 10 inches thick with nothing but lettuce and other toppings. The bun was dry. Or I come back here? If I do it will only be for the chicken wings and chili cheese fries. Other than that I am no longer excited about this place.
google avatar

Angela Y.

Yelp
Probably the worst burger and fries Iv ever had, the fries were soggy and had no seasoning. The burger bun was soggy and was pulling apart when I grabbed it. And the soda was flat. Horrible horrible.

Alvaro M.

Yelp
Stay away from this place , I ordered a steak sandwich and the meat was spoiled and I tried to tell the owner/worker about the issue and he was very rude and said I was wrong.
google avatar

Jenn D.

Yelp
Clean and efficient. The buger was great and simple. Fries not soggy. Owner was courteous. You wait outside and order when called.
google avatar

Sefo M.

Yelp
Ordered a steak sandwich took a bite of it and threw it in the trash..thin piece of steak wasn't even grilled taste and look like its been boiled. Then ordered a pastrami cos i was so damn hungry..well I'd managed to finished just half of it and toss the other half in the trash cos it was so dried and salty. It's a no mo from me.

Yelp
Oh the memories!!! For all my fellow Jackrabbit Alumni, Poly Burger will forever be known as TOMY'S BURGER. Tomy's holds a dear place in my heart, This is where all the high school kids used to come and grab food before and after school for a cheap price. As I recall this was also a frequent hang out spot where kids would often get into trouble, never me of course lol.... Location- on the corner in a plaza about a block walking distance from Poly. Parking- is readily available in the plaza's parking lot, watch for pedestrians that often walk or ride their bikes randomly around the parking lot. Atmosphere- Fair warning, this isn't a 5 start joint, heck they barely started accepting debt cards here, so don't expect anything fancy. There are about 5 tables inside and about 5 or so available outside for dinning in, depending on the time of day you might want to take your order to go because it's not in the best of neighborhoods. Food- French Fries- to this day probably one of the best fries i've had. Something about the seasoning salt you add yourself and the fries being served in a paper bag that you shake to mix the seasoning salt just makes me feel all warm and toasty inside. Don't forget your side of ranch to dip your fries. Chicken Teriyaki here is also one of my favorites, I practically grew up on that stuff while in high school. It normally comes with rice and salad, but you can opt to swap for french fries. I normally get no rice and all toss salad or if I'm feeling dangerous a combination of 1/2 salad and 1/2 french fries. Soft serve Ice Cream is a must if you can squeeze it in, and for about $1.75 you gotta make room. Definitely a childhood favorite... makes me miss the good ol days when coming here.

Carolina S.

Yelp
Amazing place , reasonable prices, in business for a long time ! Loved their grilled chicken sandwich.
google avatar

Lina H.

Yelp
Came here alot when I was in high school. Their fries are super good!! It's cheap and the food are good portions. Recommend the chili cheese fries and the regular fries with seasoning.

Daddy L.

Yelp
the food is absolutely gut-destroying and gave me and my entire family food poisining from the bacon cheeseburger and fries. and i keep getting calls from my child saying that the manager/general manager doesnt let them sit inside the store even when they purchase food. very poor customer service and the environment of the resteraunt is very gross and is rarely maintained.
google avatar

Yelp
I've only been here a few times, but the food is great, the customer service is great and the malted milkshakes are awesome!

Yelp
Born X Raised On the Turf This is a Long Beach OG. Back then this was Tomys and because all us poly students would basically live here it was renamed to Poly Burger. I use to live on New York & Linden. My family is still in this area and a lot of the homies. Skating up and down the hood you needed to fuel up. We didn't have much so when we had that money we'd be here. use to end up costing $1.25 with some ranch. Take the seasoning salt put it in the bag and shake. Take some ketchup and mix it with the ranch and you gone!!!! The homies and I would share this. Carb up for the day and continue. Thank you for these memories. They also got legit good burgers and bomb pastrami. If your ever in the hood stop by and get you a bag of fries. It ain't nothing crazy to you. It's a Long Beach thang.
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
They close at 8:25!!!!! Don't date arrive at 8:23 thinking you have until 9:00!!!! Should've known better than to want to try to eat from this place!!! Who TF closes at "8:25"!!!??

Yelp
I saw some nice reviews and decided to try this place out while I was out and about Sunday. Ordered the teriyaki chicken with the salad and it was okay. The bits of chicken were small, but you get ALOT of it. The staff was friendly, the price is definitely budget friendly, the parking lot wasn't bad, and you get your food rather quickly. I only waited a few minutes and there were quite a few people who ordered before me. Definitely a nice place to swing by for some fast food.

Yelp
After having Cambodian food at La Lune Restaurant, my friends decided, let's get ice cream. I don't know if I was or was not feeling it for ice cream but I saw they had malts. When I ordered, I asked if they take cards and the guy said yes but they charge $0.40. Dammit, a small malt is $1.75 and that will now be $2.15. Let me order a small malt because I'm stuffed. Chocolate, strawberry or vanilla? Wow, I didn't know you get flavors with them. I picked Strawberries and someone ordered a medium shake and someone else had dipped cone ice cream. Malts and shakes were up but the size difference is rediculous. Small is a small but a medium should be called a large. Mine actually has real strawberries in it. Is that cool or what? They ran out of cones so they asked if it was alright to serve the ice cream in a cup with the chocolate on top. Sure, why not. ha ha. Well, it's a cool treat just to get when around this area but i doubt the food is really good here after the meal we just had. Next time I'm making sure I have cash if I stop here for desserts next time.
