We sat out on the patio because my daughter brought her puppy. It was a little warm, so she asked for some water for the dog, and they brought her a doggie bowl of water! Boom 5 stars on service. Food was good. I selected from the brunch menu getting the egg and bacon stuffed Belgian waffles, which were a good size. Nice mix of hardy and sweet.

Food average at best. Drinks are kinda disappointing. Mai Tai drink which was recommended wasn't that great. Service was great. Vibe is good. Overall, a little disappointed because of food and drinks.

Their pizzas & beverages are top notch! Service is excellent! I went to their monthly comedy show. Super great time. Lake Jackson has a terrific local entertainment & food!

My mother in law and I had the paradise pot which was so good but kept crunching on the pomegranate seeds and it was getting stuck in my teeth but still amazing. My mom had the Polynesian riblets and omg they were so good, a lil kick at the end so it was just right. We also shared the pimento cheese tray and that was very delicious. Our waitress was very patient with my mom and I since we have to be gluten free. Had some mimosas which I'm never mad about lol

Petite Porkers

Google
Very cute place, friendly staff, the Pho was delicious! The avocado/egg salad was mostly avocado very little egg, but it was fresh and tasty. The ribs, sharable appetizer did not taste fresh though and sharable plates should have an even number of bites on them. Other then that it was a nice spot.

Starting by saying that if you want to eat the best crawfish in the area, come to this place. I've been here a couple of times just for drinks, While at the bar, the bartender Mr. Happy, who excels In giving the best customer service, told me that their seasoning was the best. Sure enough, I gave it a try and guess what? He wasn't wrong; we loved it and it definitely was the best. I will come back for some more and definitely tell my friends and love ones.

We love the crawfish here… me and my family came to have dinner here tonight before they stop serving crawfish for the season. We arrived and were seated the chairs were dirty with sticky stuff. We just ignored it. Our crawfish took about 25 minutes to come out. 15 minutes later after that I still haven’t got my ramen bowl. So I ask another waitress because ours was sitting at the front with other ladies talking. The lady told me it takes about 10 minutes for it. I said I ordered it with our crawfish …. She then said ohhhh let me get with my manager… our waitress goes and puts in my order I guess she forgot. She comes and tells me sorry they are working on it.. the crawfish cooks fast the ramen takes time. I said negative that lady told me 10 minutes. She said ohhh she did.. then said well it’s coming out. We seen a group of older ladies sit next to us never were helped they ended up leaving… our waitress was horrible.

Aloha! This is the spot in Lake Jackson for tropical drinks!! They have an amazing happy hour for half priced drinks (tropical storm) from 8pm-9pm!! We had the sharable Chi Chi Nut Punch, the Suni Haze and the Malie Circus. All were mixed in house recipes from their Mixologists, our bartender Gaby was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered some food as well, we got the Kalua Nachos, was a larger portion than we were expecting, large chips and plentiful toppings, Polynesian Riblets which were fall off the bone with sweet and spicy sauce (was our favorite) and the Backyard Shrimp Boil Ramen, the broth was spicy, but was very flavorful and had plenty shrimp and fixings. We will be Poly Popping again soon, we really enjoyed the lovely chill atmosphere with candle lights and the delicious food and drinks. Thanks Gaby!!

Yelp
Nice little tapas, didn't have any drinks. The birria tacos are sooo delicious. We brought our littles they liked the food but not really a family friendly place more of a bar. Food is really good tho. I also had the Buddha bowl with the pomegranate seeds and blueberries and I could have drank the dressing.

Yelp
It had been quite some time since I last visited Lake Jackson. The opportunity presented itself when my friend visited his family in the area over the holidays. We stopped by on a Sunday evening for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar. Ambiance (4.5/5): I love a good tiki bar and Poly Pop definitely fits the bill with its Hawaii vibes. Plus Christmas vibes as they were decorated for the holiday. It's a cool-looking restaurant in downtown Lake Jackson. I love the area surrounding Poly Pop as there are a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. Parking is easy too. Service (4/5): Two bartenders served us. They weren't terribly busy and did a pretty good job. They could have been a little more attentive but solid overall. Food (4/5): I went with the elote ramen and a side of macaroni salad. I'll start with the macaroni. A simple yet classic Hawaiian side. If you've never had it, think of it as a creamy, cold salad. Somewhat similar to potato salad. The ramen was definitely a first for me. A combination of elote and ramen?! Say what?! While a little weird, it worked. The elote broth was served with noodles, cheese, corn, and green onions. It was a bit spicier than I expected (which is a con for me) and the noodles weren't great. Still solid overall and A+ for creativity. Drinks (4/5): They had a special holiday-themed menu along with their regular cocktails. This is what you should go with because this is a tiki bar after all. I sampled three cocktails (two off the regular menu and one off of the holiday menu). The honey bear had you guessed it . . . honey and was served in a bear-shaped glass. Plus apple cider. I also did a rum bucket, which is served in, you guessed it, a bucket and is for two or more people. Group drinks are always fun. Lei Low is my favorite tiki bar in Houston. I wouldn't put Poly Pop quite as high in terms of the sophistication of their drinks but I did enjoy what I had here. Poly Pop is a unique spot so definitely check it out if you're going out in downtown Lake Jackson!

Yelp
This was an all around pleasant surprise. Fun atmosphere and our waitress was well versed in the cocktail menu. Started with apps of tamales and wings. Tamales were everything you'd want... moist and delicious! Wings had crispy skin and glazed perfectly with the raspberry habanero sauce. Magically a happy hour started at 8 on a Tuesday so it was yes to another round of drinks.

Yelp
We've been here a couple times and really enjoyed the decor, yummy food and drinks. It was all decked out for Christmas so that was a lot of fun! We had the lettuce wraps the first time and those were so good! They have a good menu for drinks but I stuck with the Red Stripe since you can't find it everywhere. Definitely a fun place to have drinks in Lake Jackson.

Yelp
Destination stop for those who like to be entertained visually and through their stomach. I had the tropical salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. I also had the painkiller with the CBD and the lions mane and I have to tell you it worked. I will definitely be going back Great service great atmosphere and good food. What else could you ask for?

Yelp
The food is great and the drinks were amazing. Our server was very helpful and the ambience is also good. It was very difficult to find a decent place for lunch or dinner near Surfside. We came across poly pop on Yelp and decided to give it a try since they had Ramen and bowl options. Their drink menu is pretty good. And their non alcoholic punch is also good. Don't skip their Hummingbird cake which is to die for! You will thank me later!
google avatar

Yelp
We loves this cute little joint. The drinks are on point!! Full service bar with a good tapas menu too. They have all different types of Ramen Nachos KEY Lime Pie WINGS I forgot to take pictures but everything was great! Service is good too.

Yelp
Y'all prepare yourself for overstuffing yourself. I didn't even get a chance to get a picture of the appetizer short ribs because they looked and smelled so delicious we absolutely devoured them. The Ramen and sandwich was also excellent. Outdoor seating was clean and cute. Can't wait to come back for more!

Yelp
This was a bunch of fun. Came in the other night and had their Cajun Seafood boil. It's around $45 to start and comes with Snow crab, Dungeness crab, half a pound of shrimp, corn, and potato. You can also add in other things, which were very reasonably priced. We added several orders of mushrooms that were absolutely amazing. I came with a couple friends and we were talking forever. Luckily we caught them on a slower night, so there were tables available and we didn't tie up our servers section. Our server Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet and kept checking in us. She kept our drinks full and didn't rush us. At some point her shift ended and she transferred us. The server we ended up next with seemed really unhappy with our existence... So we left and went nextdoor to keep drinking without the side of RBF. Had she been our server all night, it would be a completely different review. Overall the place was great, the food was awesome, nice environment, not too loud... I'll definitely be back (server dependent lol).

Yelp
Cool ambiance Service was good The rib meat tacos- 4/5 in taste & 3/5 for portion size The smoked rib ramen- 2/5 in taste. I think too much was going on. I see the intention but it was a little complicated in flavors. The riblets- 5/5 i wish the portion was bigger. Really tender and would have them again. Prices- a little pricey. Prices are comparable to Jinya but they have better portions at least. At the end my guest and I left hungry and went somewhere else to eat to get full.

Yelp
Super interesting flavors, fun vibe, good parking. Portions aren't huge but I felt satisfied after the mini tacos. I especially liked their seasonal drink Winter Nani.

Yelp
Love coming to Poly Pop!! Yummy food and my kids love it! Drinks are really fun too Service is usually great too!

Yelp
This Polynesian inspired restaurant is a wonderful experience from the interior decor to the food. Their unique ramen soups keep you coming back for more. They have several spam menu items that are so delicious. The Loco Moco is a must try. They also have the best Key Lime pie, so refreshing! The bar drinks are pretty strong and some fun, unique concoctions. Servers are friendly and the restaurant is clean. They have a small patio area that is nice to enjoy your meal. There are several restaurants/bars on the street so it's a fun place to meet up with friends. The only thing I don't care for is they burn something like cinnamon sticks as an incense and it is very strong and irritating to my allergies which is why I try to eat on the patio. Otherwise everything else is great.

Yelp
We were in town for six weeks for work. We ate at Poly Pops three times! The food is fantastic. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. We especially enjoyed Taco Tuesday. We sat at the bar and had great service. The atmosphere is relaxing and laid-back.

Erik C.

Yelp
Worst service ever, they are severely understaffed and it sucked that it takes about 1 1/2 hours for basic food and your check.... Sigh never again.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
First visit but so delicious. Got the Loco Moco at the servers suggestion vs the Ramen Carbonara. Fantastic! Will be back for the food alone. The atmosphere was nice, the decor awesome and everything was clean. First time with Hawaiian food that was not poke bowl or grilled meat. I'm a fan!
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to like this spot but unfortunately it underwhelmed us. The drinks were subpar & it tasted like ice maker ice with bits of ice chips with every sip...and soooo much ice at that...hmmm!! The hubby didn't really enjoy this experience at all. I did like the flavor of the Cajun & Mexican broths but I didn't love the ribs or mini tacos. He said the riblets & Cajun ramen were okay & the Mexican ramen was good.

Yelp
Ok first this is Lake Jackson Texas. There isn't a lot to choose from here. But this little place is trying something new. But for anyone who has spent any time in the South Pacific they should really reach out and do some REAL Polynesian cuisine. A proper Locomoco or Manapua - and when you cook with spam there need to be crispy, almost burnt edges to get that full flavor profile. A good start but go out out and it will work!

Yelp
I just had the most amazing lunch i've had in a while! Poly Pop is a Hawaiian Fusion restaurant in Lake Jackson, TX. It's small, lovely light atmosphere, full bar, fantastic service! The food...the food... the chef who designed this menu understands how to layer flavors and textures like an artist. The coleslaw is always a good indicator of the general quality of the food. It seems simple, but is so often neglected and left on the table. Poly Pop has fresh fresh fresh everything and the most amazing pineapple vinaigrette! The warm potato salad was beyond, and the pulled pork with pickled red onion and cucumber did not disappoint! They serve tea in the cutest little pineapple shaped glasses too! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great service, fun atmosphere! The food is really good as well. Loving going with a group of friends or Dashing an order for home!

Tim B.

Yelp
Visited for lunch on Valentine's Day. Not our first here, and we'll be back! My Bride has the lettuce wraps and I had the street tacos + the bill shrimp Ramen. Everything was delicious! The service was great! Nice atmosphere! Highly recommend!

John C.

Yelp
This place was amazing. First time in the area and the staff was unbelievably supportive. If you're not from around here this is the place to go. They were so receptive. And my server, Mandie was amazing. Great manager :)

Miriam C.

Yelp
Food was great as always & staff friendly. The drinks were so yummy. KALUHA Nachos are my favorite. I also had the chicken wraps, which are excellent! Can be shared for an appetizer or alone as a meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place - great vibe & service. Wife enjoyed a mai tai, I had fresh squeezed lemonade. The Paraside Pot (bowl) was a perfect portion and wife's salad as well. Only a n town for a few days but we'll be back soon!

Yelp
Heard phenomenal words about Poly Pop while we were visiting Lake Jackson for work, so of course we had to stop here. We ordered the lettuce wraps as an appetizer -- fresh, delicious, a solid 9.5/10 wrap. I ordered two half portions for my meal: one of the Tao Taco Buddha Bowl, and the other of the Street Corn Ramen (pictured). Starting off with the Street Corn Ramen, it was good, but I kept calling it a 1980's romantic comedy, because it was way too cheesy. Midway through my meal, the cheese melted and compressed into one giant cheese ball, so instead of chewing on that for thirty minutes, I just took it out of the soup. Shame that I had to take the cheese out, but the cream broth and corn were still delicious. But for my Taco Taco Buddha Bowl, it was every bit of perfect that I'd want it to be. I shoveled it down in five minutes and simply couldn't believe how amazing it was. Maybe even the best bowl I've ever had? Idk, that's a lot of bowls, but this one makes at least the top 3. Would drive back to Lake Jackson just for the bowl again!

Yelp
Fun and unique vibe in downtown Lake Jackson. Great cocktails and unique Polynesian themed menu items. It's a pretty regular stop.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was excellent!! The atmosphere was nice. The music just loud enough you could hear it but not so loud that you couldn't speak to anyone

Yelp
TLDR: Poly Pops! Great local place to get your eatz and drinkz on. Definitely go for the Tropical Storm Happy Hour from 8-9 p.m. Do it. Visit: Weekend Tropical Storm Order: Polynesian Riblets: 7.2/10 This solid appetizer had a sweet and tangy sauce slathered over some deliciously tender riblets. The only downfall on this occasion was that they were barely warm. Had these been served piping hot, it could've bumped the rating to 7.8-8.1. Loco Moco: 7.4/10 Seared Spam, fried eggs, and a savory sweet soy sauce over coconut rice. Do it. Ramen Carbonara: 5.1/10 A novel idea that fell well short of expectations. For starters, it was completely cold... but outside of that, it was bland and lacking the creaminess of a good carbonara. Skip this. All in all, Poly Pop was a pleasant surprise! Being in Lake Jackson for the weekend, I found the nightlife options limited, but acceptable for the area. My partner and I happened upon this place during the Tropical Storm happy hour and absolutely enjoyed the experience. The service was friendly and efficient, given that they were packed to the brim on both nights we visited. Per the food, I would definitely recommend the riblets and loco moco. Looking for a spot to booze it up and grub?! Give this one a go.

Marcelina U.

Yelp
When I miss Hawaii this is a fun spot to go too. The drinks are cute and creative. Some food was alright but overall the appetizers were my favorite. Love having patio seating for our dog too.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Seemed like a cool place but turns out it's the place to get assaulted and get victim shamed rather than supported. I'd take my money and business elsewhere. Their response to the assault was absolute crap and I hope TABC investigates.

Tori W.

Yelp
The hummingbird cake is so moist and i love that the plates are garnished with a cute flower not pricy and a nice lunch, i got the high harvest buddha bowl with spicy chicken on it and it was sooo yummy! the taco Tuesday birria tacos are good too. the atmosphere was cozy and cute
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Famous ramen that is AMAZING! Eclectic, unique, and tropical - a special treat!! Food & drinks are delicious.

Tyler Y.

Yelp
Great place to hang out, lots of good drinks, but very small, crowded, and basically no food to choose from
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
We were on vacation at a nearby beach town. My husband brought us to this place for my birthday. It was a Cajun/Asian/Western Polynesian restaurant and bar. It was located in a center with boutique restaurants and bars. The place was decorated in Christmas decor. They had a long bar with holiday drink specials. We ordered tacos, ramen, crab with potatoes and several drinks from the holiday drink menu. Service, drinks and food were excellent. The crab and potatoes tossed in that Cajun sauce were one of the best I've ever had. I'm still thinking of the crab and potatoes. We will have to go back when in the area.
google avatar

Macie R.

Yelp
Love what I got! I had the Spicy Thai Chicken Ramen & it was very yummy!! Definitely will come back! I found my bowl to be very refreshing. I think Poly Poo offers a unique menu different from a lot of the places in town. Definitely a nice option when you want something a little different. Seems a little expensive for a bowl of soup but it's worth it for the fresh noodles & different add in. I'm going to have to come back for the Cajun one.
google avatar

Jake P.

Yelp
Whether its Chilly or Hot outside.. Poly Pops Vegan Ramen is where its at! I've had this dish several times & it is delicious every single time! Poly Pop has a really awesome vibe, very nice dining experience; the service is always great as well. This Plant Based option is definitely one of the top dishes in the area! Definitely a "go to" meal! Thank you Poly Pop for having a Vegan Option!
google avatar

Shaina C.

Yelp
Descent atmosphere. My margarita was pretty tasty. My husband's drink was too thick, so he didn't drink it. We both got the Shrimp Boil Ramen bowls. I subbed out the sausage for extra shrimp. Broth, corn & potatoes were really good, however the shrimp lacked flavor though.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great find in Lake Jackson of all places! I've been to a few other tiki bars and this was right up there with one of the best. It was super convenient to our dinner spot which was literally across the street. We came on a weeknight when they had happy hour and were surprised when Nick, one of the bartenders, told us all our drinks were 1/2 price. Even more surprised when the final bill came and it was next to nothing. Music is replaced with thunder and lightning sound effects when HH starts and ends, which is pretty cool. My colleague ordered beers, but I tried the zombie and naked ape. Their zombie is pretty strong and its easy to see why there is a 2 drink limit. Not really an explosion of flavors, I only tasted alcohol and absinthe. Still very drinkable. The naked ape was unlike any banana cocktail I make since it was a shaken fruity, strong drink as opposed to a milky banana coconutty blended drink. It contains rum and Tempus Fugit crème de banane, so its definitely made with good quality ingredients. They also have daily specials, like Taco Tuesdays, YAY!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
The food was served lukewarm. They charged 8.50 for one pork slider which is a bit overpriced. The drinks are really good and more reasonably priced.
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
I have only been here on one occasion but the drinks here are delicious! Nice fun spot to hang out after work and enjoy a little escape!

Kimberly B.

Yelp
WARNING! I'm only giving Poly Pop one star for flavor. I had doordashed poly pop and got 2 orders of their chicken lettuce wraps on Wednesday and had one for lunch and one for dinner. I woke up Thursday feeling terrible. I go to the urgent care and they said I had FOOD POISONING. I do not recommend at all! I have been sick throwing up for 3 days and barely getting over it on the 4th day. ABSOLUTELY do not recommend.

Chelsea K.

Yelp
Always a nice place to have some dinner and drinks! I've taken a few people for their first times & they always come back! thank you!
google avatar

Ava G.

Yelp
This is my parents favorite hangout! I too, am obsessed with the food. Their mix of Tex-Mex and Asian cuisine never fails to make my mouth water. Some of my favorite dishes include their Crawfish, Tamales, and Rib ramen. The interior design is cute with friendly staff and a friendly atmosphere. It's a great spot for a hangout with friends and even a dinner with the family. Poly Pop is one of my favorite Lake Jackson restaurants :) would recommend to anyone
google avatar

Roxanne R.

Yelp
Poly Pop is our girl hangout. We enjoy going for the AMAZING drinks and food. Everything from breakfast to dinner that we've tried has been so delicious. The tinkers are my personal favorite. Creative breakfast choices is fun for the kids, but you get HUGE portions that you can share! They also have good mimosas and other "breakfast drinks". The only complain I've heard from our group is that they don't have ketchup... which we all laughed about. It's totally fine, who eats ketchup of Mac-n-cheese anyways!? We will be back. More than once. :)
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
We came for dinner last night and everything was delicious. We had the riblets, based on other suggestions here, and they were absolutely perfect. While this isn't a bar-b-que joint, they were better riblets than 90% of dedicated bar-b-que places I've been to. We had the Tao Taco bowl and Polynesian Chicken Salad, both which were absolutely fantastic. My only suggestion would be regarding this insanely loud lightning/thunder sound effect that went off in the middle of our dinner. I believe it was part of the "theme" of the restaurant, however it started everyone around us, and the look on peoples faces did not make me think anyone enjoyed it. The young girl at the table right next to us spent the next 10 minutes hugging her mom because she was especially frightened. Aside from that, this place earned an easy 5 stars. We had been here for drinks several times and were always impressed with those as well, however this was the first time trying the food.

Jon D.

Yelp
First time here and more than happy with my decision! The vibe of this place was great to relax and staff were freindly and provided great service. The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps were a great light starter with the Thai peanut sauce being spot on. The rib meat and Huli Huli chicken tacos had good flavors and the pineapple relish topping added a fresh pop!

Chrisrinr K.

Yelp
Cute area. I had never been to Lake Jackson. I was in the area and stopped for a late lunch. Service was good. I was in and out quick. I asked server what she recommended. I had the Thai lettuce wrap appetizer - great lunch portion. It was tasty,. Decor was nice - tropical theme. If in the area again, I might try again.

Yelp
Very happy worth my meal here and I definitely appreciate a restaurant that is creative and different in a town like Lake Jackson. The food was good and the service was excellent. We got the Thai lettuce wraps and they were very good. The mini tacos we got were very flavorful and had a unique but good flavor. The presentation was a nice with the new article and flower. This was a pleasant surprise for lunch and I'm excited to come back here in the future!
