14 Stellar Spots to Sip Wine in Vancouver and Clark County, Washington | Eater Portland

"This boutique winery sits just minutes away from hiking trails that snake around Lucia Falls and Moulton Falls. Later in the day, hikers stream into the homey tasting room or grab tables outdoors with views of vineyards in front of an evergreen forest. Winemaker Dan Brink focuses on varietals found in the Bordeaux, Rhone, and Alsace regions. Award-wining 2018 Lucia No. 47, a cabernet sauvignon-heavy blend with syrah and merlot, uses grapes sourced from DuBrul Vineyard in the Yakima Valley, with dark fruit with a lush finish. Light snacks like hummus and chips and bread with dipping oil complement the layered wine. Guests can also bring their own food." - Rachel Pinsky

Pomeroy Cellars is a great place to stop and enjoy exceptional wine. The atmosphere and staff are fantastic and inviting. It’s a beautiful place to stop and relax and enjoy the surroundings landscape. It is nestled in the hills and forests next to a beautiful river with plenty of hiking and exploring. It is definitely worth stopping and enjoying your time.

I came in on a Friday afternoon for my very first visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed my wine tasting. Keri, the Tasting Room Manager, was extremely friendly and helpful, making the experience even more pleasurable. My dog companion and I had just completed an 11-mile hike, and she was able to nap on the deck with me under sunny 57 degree temperatures. I am a Meetup hike leader, and I’d very much like to organize a group hike at Moulton Falls County Park with a stop at Pomeroy Cellars afterwards.

Pomeroy Cellars made a wonderful stop after visits to Moulton Falls and Lucia Falls nearby. With wet rocks at both locations, you definitely do not want to go after a wine tasting. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday, and was a delightful place to relax and sample their offerings. We had no trouble building a tasting around primarily reds and red blends, all of which we enjoyed. The biggest problem was figuring out which bottles would be coming home with us. If you're looking to get out of the city and taste some nice wine in a relaxing setting, the drive to Yacolt is pretty quick and easy from the east side of Portland.

A nice, small winery in a beautiful setting. Delicious wines of many types. The Music in the Vines event was great but a few caveats…the food truck was cancelled and the cellar’s 20% discount on small bites didn’t show up on my bill. Buy your tickets ahead to avoid paying double at the event.

Had such a good time sampling wines. Walked away with two amazing bottles, but honestly could’ve purchased more. Thankful for the amazing staff. Ryan is so easy-going and fun to talk to you about wines and life in general. Will definitely be back!

Wow! I was impressed with this winery! In the middle of nowhere, I had very little expectations, but it exceeded all my expectations by far! I normally don’t drink reds, but I liked their reds every single one! I ended up getting 2 bottles😃 Tommy, one of the owners, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed learning about their wines. I highly recommend to check it out, you won’t be disappointed!! Loved the typical PNW fog over the vineyard 🧡

Yelp
Quaint dog friendly winery overlooking the vineyards! We each got a flight & ended up buying a bottle of rosé to take home. They even serve food there but after coming from a hike, we were craving a whole pizza so journeyed on over after!

Yelp
Good wine!!! Definitely have yummy red and a delicious rose. Their wine tastings are $15 for 5 tastes. They have a few selection for food. Hummus and checkers, salami and cheese, rolls with olive oil and few others. Reasonable price. Food is okay. Next time we will probably bring our own which you can do. Beautiful scenery. Recommended and will be back again.

Yelp
The most delicious award winning wine. The views every time of year are fabulous. The employees are wonderful and the snacks they serve are also delicious. They also have local beer and some non alcoholic drinks!

Yelp
What a cute little winery! For the last 2 years we have gone to the farm and always say we will come back for a wine tasting - and finally did this past weekend. It's a cute and cozy spot that has lots of areas to still feel social but also private. We came with our 5 year old and sat in one of the side rooms. We were able to take our time enjoying the tasting while also keeping him entertained. Their wine offering was also delicious - the Riesling and Syrah were the stars. Only bummer is the cheese plate is a bit small but still good! The sourdough and chocolate were also tasty. This place deserves much more Yelp love!

Yelp
Out of all the wineries we visited during our time here, Pomeroy was hands-down our favorite! We loved the selections they offered for tasting, and enjoyed our time there immensely.!

Yelp
I can not express how amazing this place is. My wife and I moved up here from Southern Oregon/ Jacksonville and spent a lot of time at wineries down there. After moving Vancouver it was hard to find a quality winery that had a great environment and also having quality local wine and more than just 2 options. This place is by far the best environment and culture around. They make you feel so welcome and treat you with the best wine at the same time! 10 out of 10 would recommend! Go talk to Tommy!

Yelp
As a personal fan of the sweeter white wines this winery has a fantastic option in their Riesling. It hits the perfect level of sweet for me without being overly sweet. The winery has an amazing scenic view and has many things to offer, from walking the winery grounds to exploring the living history farm that it sits on. But above all one of the greatest things is they have an absolutely amazing staff and owner! Recently they have begun doing more events and activities that are fun and well worth the time to experience our favorite is the Paint and Sip event they hold.

Yelp
Great wine, customer service and snacks! We also love the special events they put host!

Yelp
This winery not only has the most delicious wines, the most wonderful view but also has the most fabulous staff. The owners are one of a kind and the wine maker is phenomenal. The vibe is both upscale as well as relaxed. The inside is beautifully done and the outside has options for lawn games and fun with the family. There are also a few beer/non alcoholic options as well! We love their Paint and Sip nights as well as all of the activities they put on. This place is a straight up gem in the most beautiful part of Southwest Washington.

Yelp
I have been embarrassed at how many Pomeroy bottles go out in my recycling sometimes but it is worth it. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, delicious wines. A must stop for everyone!
