Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Find something fresh at Pomme, a spot with highly shareable plates that are ideal for group lunch outings. Go for a few starters like the croquettes and the calamari, pair it with a salad and a few mains, and ask for whatever natural wine they recommend — it's always a great suggestion." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. One of absolute favorite places we drank and dined at in Lisbon. The food and wine selection is very reasonably priced and the menu and environment has such a fun and unique flair! My only critique was that some of our proteins were slightly overcooked, specifically the shrimp and beef skewers, but were still seasoned SO well and delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience here so much and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful place with great food and awesome wine list. Must try — starter made of potato and Parmesan (don’t remember the name) and shrimps. Personnel is super friendly and knowledgeable, interior design is stylish and cozy, was a great pleasure to have time there!

If you’ve tried Strakers in London, this is a very similar vibe. Great sharing plates, simple but delicious wine list and exceptional service. Would really recommend the Beef Skewers and the grilled prawns. Would 100% come back for dinner the next time I’m in Lisbon.

The interior is beautifully designed—a truly hip and inviting place to dine. Some of the dish concepts are amazing, and the grilled tuna in particular was fantastic! However, it would be nice if the staff took a bit more time to explain the dishes, as it would enhance the overall experience. A great spot with just a little room for improvement.

So far my top 3 in Lisbon: excellent food sharing concept, small dishes and lot's of flavours! Staff is polite and recommended us super nice wines. Coming back soon for sure!

The staff was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was delightful. The Chicken Kyiv was delicious🤤but the «red sauce» felt unnecessary and a bit too heavy for my taste. As for the octopus carpaccio, there was too much mayo, which overpowered the delicate flavors of the dish🥺 But in general, everything was good 😊

Very cute restaurant with interesting dishes. I especially love the design of the restaurant, but also their whole visual identity. It felt very pleasant to sit here and enjoy some good wine.

No fuss and very friendly place to grab a well made lunch. The menu is small with a clear goal to update the classics. We had the meatballs in a rich sauce and perfectly fried filling of fish and chips. The selection of Portuguese wines is surprisingly wide and worth your time. The friendly staff are perfect hosts and made this a memorable pre-Christmas affair.
