"Flanked by the Russian River on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Pomo Canyon extends from the heart of lush Sonoma Coast State Park down to the sands of Shell Beach. The six-and-a-half-mile trail is fairly strenuous and can get busy, but plentiful outlooks over the town of Jenner and the shore provide restful respites from fellow hikers along with views that unfold for miles up and down the coast. The stretch along Willow Creek is lined with giant ferns and soaring redwoods for a real NorCal feel. The round-trip adventure should take you just under four hours, depending on how well you handle hills." - Travel + Leisure Editors
Great trail that takes you from shell beach through the Pomo canyon and back. It provides great views of the coast and the Russian River and takes you through some Redeood groves. It starts somewhat steep but is a fairly easy hike otherwise.

Really nice trail. It connects the beach and Highway 1 to the campground, and makes for a really good day hike. The upper trail goes to the top of the hill and has great views of the ocean, while the lower trail is shaded by redwoods and has great views of the Russian River. The upper trail is overgrown by grass in some sections, so watch out for ticks.

Very nice trail.
You have to go to the top of red hill, a little bit more but the view is amazing

Nice and easy 6 mile-ish loop trail starting from Shell Beach. On a foggy morning better skip it since you won’t enjoy the nice views of the Russian River.

This trail is amazing. Like others have said, you can start in the Pomo Canyon Campground parking lot or the Shell Beach Parking lot.
You will see Redwoods and the beach and the views are amazing! The Pomo Canyon Campground parking lot side is a little more overgrown in some areas so I like starting at Shell Beach Parking lot personally.
You can also take a trail to Red Hill, which overlooks the ocean and coastline and has great views when the fog has cleared. I would definitely recommend checking out this trail and many others in the Jenner area.

We parked at the entrance to shell beach and did a 4.25 mile loop that took us about 90 minutes. There is an initial steep climb but the rest of the hike is moderate. At 2.25 miles we took the switch back that returned to wheel beach. This hike has lovely vistas abs wildlife and was a great stop during our drive up the coast.
