Google
The Dubai chocolate donut is such a pleasant surprise! The crunchy filling and chewy mochi go so well together. We also tried Thai milk tea and matcha latte with boba. Both are really good too

Google
Donuts are delicious but they really struggle to open on time and once I ordered for a specific time they were late. It’s Sunday 11/16 11.18 AM and they’re still not open. A while ago I stopped as a corporate client and today as a private. Waited outside for 18 minutes. And they are still not open…

Google
So the service is 10 star worthy. I ordered the Dubai chocolate donut and forgot to pick it up the next day and I messaged them on Instagram and they were kind enough to replace it for free and they even threw in an extra donut. The Dubai chocolate donut was so rich and filling. I was not disappointed and I've been a customer at the Allston location and I'll be back to this location as well

This tiny small store in Newton Centre serves up several variations of what is now my favorite dessert - mochi donuts. As I was never a big fan of (overly) sweet delights, I've never bothered to try them despite hearing about it until recently at an event. I was truly surprised as I didn't just take a bite BUT finished the whole thing in less than a minute (once again, a pretty big feat for someone who doesn't prefer sweet treats). It wasn't overly sweet like normal donuts and the texture is far more delightful and chewy as much as it was moist. The flavors were potent and quite addicting. I know I will now be visiting quite a bit as the price is also really decent for what you get. Wishing you the best for the rest of the year and an even better 2024! Cheers!

Google
Good donuts and the boba is amazing. The tapioca pearls are always warm, fresh, and chewy. The drinks themselves are slightly thicker than your average boba tea. It’s very unique. No seating though.

Google
Highly recommend the matcha mochi donut! The service here is great and they have a wide variety of flavors. I suggest stopping by earlier in the day to have a wider selection of choices.

Yelp
" New Floral Donuts just in time for Mothers Day " My favorite Donut shop with also a full menu of coffee, teas and boba galore. Has some new flavors yet again " The floral edition ". Just in time for Mother's Day . They sell out quick so come get yours . They also carry a yummy line of soups to explore. The vibe is friendly and welcoming. Hope to see you soon at Pon De Joy. Lots of parking so no worries on parking . P. S : I could not add any more pictures on Yelp they have a limit . To show the floral design(s) of the donuts .

Yelp
Love this small spot. Probably my fave bubble tea around. Mochi donuts are sweet and just the right texture.

Yelp
Despite the abundance of bakeries around Newton Centre, this is a welcome addition. The donuts are gorgeous, tasty, and reasonably priced (for bougey donuts). The array of flavors and colors is welcome for world loosing color and flavor! The consistency of the donuts is a tremendously, and rare, satisfying bouncy quality with just enough give and chewiness. The glaze doesn't break and remains a perfect melt in your mouth. It's not too sweet, crumbly, or dry or wet. The sesame donut isn't to be missed. The cake batter one is a surprisingly great riff on now off cookies -- but even better than a biscoff cookie. We will be back!

Yelp
Man...Thomas beat me to the first review. I am glad this place opened up in Newton Centre. On one of the side streets away from the hustle and bustle. Service was great. The cashier was friendly and answered all of my silly questions. It's awesome that the downtown area has three donut options. Dunkin, Blackbird, and Pon De Joy. These donuts are true to the Japanese style of mochi donuts. There are twelve flavors and they lean a bit toward the sweeter end. They are slightly bigger than the ones you would get in Asia at Mr. Donut and have eight pieces to each "ring." I love the creativity - taro, strawberry, corn flakes. Salted caramel. Powdered sugar. I wish they had an original glazed. I purchased a dozen for my colleagues tomorrow. Will be back.

Yelp
Yuuuuuummmmmm! This is my first mochi donut and wow it's delicious! I went with maple bacon, cause bacon, and it is delicious. But even if this was a plain donut I'd feel the same way. The dough is the best part, it's so fluffy and fresh, packed with flavor. I was walking around Newton and happened to see this place was opened and popped in. I was greeted warmly and I asked for some flavor recommendations being a new to mochi donuts. He gave a few recommendations and I landed on maple bacon. So glad this place opened up off the square, easy to get to but away from the hustle and bustle a bit. The store is light and bright just like the donuts. I'll be back for more...maybe as soon as today haha!

Yelp
I am hopelessly addicted to this place. I've been here 4 times in one week, it's a problem. The cereal donuts are my favorite, corn flakes and fruity pebbles, because it's a remarkable textural experience. The black sesame has the best flavor. Friendly service. The donuts are expensive but worth it. Only comment is that while their bubble tea is good, it weirdly comes out hot on the bottom, something I haven't seen before (and I got it twice, thinking the first time was a fluke, this stopped me from getting it again). Having decided that mochi donuts are my thing, I stopped by Mochi Dough on Newbury St, and let me tell you, those were thin, dry, not worth it, and more expensive. Pon de Joy all the way!!!!!!

Yelp
Love this place. They offer coffee but you really come here for their mochi donuts which I believe are made to perfection. After trying these, I can say these are my fave in the Boston area. The donuts are chewy and light. They're not dense whereas some other mochi donuts may be Their flavors are very flavorful as well. Do yourself a favor and get at least 1 of each flavor and share them with your friends and family. You will be a rockstar!

Yelp
Today I got a cookies and cream, and a matcha mochi donut and let me just say, wow. I fell in love instantly and if you want something sweet and smooth and soft with a bit of a doughy inside then wow you actuallyy need these donuts right now. Just finished both and I already cant wait until I can get more another day.

Annika S.

Yelp
LOVE my whole family is obsessed with these donuts now, they're soft and tasty and just cute. It is so easy to eat multiple. We always have fun splitting them to taste each flavor. Love to see the creativity in the flavor rotations as well.

Yelp
Donuts were cold, but the flavors are good. It could be whole lot better. The store is on a side street so it doesn't get much foot traffic. The selection is limited, I'm guessing because it is fairly new and in a smaller space. I hope it thrives and get better.

Yelp
Delicious! Love mochi donuts, these did not disappoint and I loved their flavor selection. Excited to see this place open in Newton Center. I'll certainly be coming back for more!!!

Yelp
I love love LOVE PON DE JOY!!!! Such a good place and now they're in Malden too. Great to grab a box as a gift to bring to anyone

Anastasia S.

Yelp
Consistently good! The place is small, but inside is pretty breezy. Their milk tea can be a bit sweet, but their mochinuts are perfectly balanced. Good chew and good toppings. I really recommend getting the matcha mochinuts! The matcha flavor comes through without being overbearing. Compared to other places in Boston/Newton, their mochinuts are cheaper.

Yelp
We tried a cinnamon sugar donut and it was so sweet, chewy and wonderful! Good quality donut batter too. I definitely want to come back to try the bubble tea at some point and try more donut flavors! So happy to have this nearby :)

Yelp
Chewy, delicious heaven. A taste of Asian baked goods right here in Boston. Donuts are soft, fluffy and chewy.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
One of the best hot chocolates I've had in the area (not too sweet either) and great tasting mochi donuts.

Paul G.

Yelp
Great place. Small, simple setup but a good vibe. Super friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly. The donuts are delicious. I find myself thinking about these donuts often, and I've never been one to think about donuts or any other kind of sweets.
