Such a great place! We were visiting Amarillo and stopped for some delicious food and drinks, but also were met with the loveliest staff. Colby and Nealey were the best—they were so attentive and kind, and so sweet to our dog. This place is awesome!

Google
This place is truly fantastic. I wish we lived in Amarillo so we could frequent Pondaseta. We tried a flight and loved everything. We ended up buying a lot of beer to go to share with our friends back home (all in the brewing industry) and everyone was super impressed. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working! 🍻

Google
Pondaseta Brewing is a nice spot of local color. We always prefer to drink a brewery’s beer at their tap room to experience their beer and culture in their native environment. Pondaseta has a nice tap with with plentiful seating indoors and out, on site food options, and plenty of cool merch to rep their brand. Beer tenders are nice, friendly crowd, and a large selection of beer styles for you to find something you will enjoy. Definitely check this place out when you are in Amarillo.

Google
Excellent brewery with friendly staff, ample seating inside and out. Outside seating also has both an enclosed area and picnic tables out in the sun. Staff is knowledgeable not only about what beers you might like but also what hops are in each. Our favorites were the Tangerine Walker and Half Send, however all of their beers were solid and worth a taste. Excited to visit again when travelling through.

Google
Good beer and great service! There is a good truck outside, which looked like it had some good food. There is a decent variety of beer here, all the ones we tried were quality poura. This brewery is definitely worth a stop!

Google
The place was really cleaned. Nice looking stuff. The Korean tacos was really good. Kind of a surprise and a tad spicy. The beer I had was good not overly hoppy.

Sam Keske

Google
The best in Amarillo, and one of the best in Texas! Wide range of beers. Relaxed, but professional atmosphere. Cool, metallic stickers. Excellent food truck that can be added to your tab (get the onion rings)

Google
If you really like craft beer, this is the place. I have an IPA and the wife had a Sour. Both of them were simply fantastic. They have a good menu to order from. We placed our order at the bar and our burgers were delivered to our table. Very good burgers, excellent fries, and great fried pickles. Service was just as good as the beer and food.

Yelp
The pizza and burgers were top notch. The craft beer was even better. The staff is off the charts awesome!!! The building is very nice and you can even watch some trains go by now and then. We're from Central Texas , but will make this a must go to stop when we are here!!!!!

Yelp
Great Pizza and Craft Beers, the building is an old train station and it's really cool

Yelp
Pondaseta Brewing is my 271st brewery. I'm closing in on 300! I am only in Amarillo until tomorrow morning, no not by morning, until morning. I tried a couple of Pondaseta beers at my hotel last night when I got in. Those were the Fast & Hazy and the Sunrise Amber. SWPFTD definitely would enjoy the Sunrise Amber. PB is separated into two different spaces, the main bar area and another space with extra tables which hosts live music. The nice part is they are actually separated by a door so if you want it a little quieter you ca. sit in the main bar area away from the band. I started my flight with Enter The Dragon which seemed appropriate just from the name. This was a German Pilsner with a nice bit of crackery/bready flavor to it. Not bad at all. The Sky Pie pecan porter had some serious pecan aroma to it. At first taste the flavor didn't live up to the aroma but towards the back of the tonque...WHAM, there was the pecan flavor and it lasted too. It really smells like pecan pie but isn't as sweet on the tongue which I like. I like this one. Let The People Dance IPA was very light on bitterness and had a decent little fruity flavor that flirted with my flippin' tastebuds in a fascinating way. Ok I'll stop... Raspberry Gladys Brings The Boys To The Yard. Man, that name is a mouthful. Gladys is a milkshake IPA presumably with raspberries. Yep, definitely with raspberries. Raspberry on the nose a well as on the tongue. I'm sad to say I didn't love this one. The raspberry flavors and all just didn't work for me. YMMV. I wanted to try the Rye barrel aged Castle Black but unfortunately it was only available in a bottle. I'm deciding if I want to buy one and take it back to my hotel for later. I'll update you on that. I did decide to try the Against The Currant Gose which I actually really liked. I also added on Viking Vacation, an imperial IPA. This was good. Nicely balanced and very easy to drink. This could be dangerous although not as dangerous as Sky Pie. Pondaseta Brewing is brewing up some good beer. Glad I could stop in! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

Yelp
Passing through on our way back home to AZ.. this was a 5 star stop! Good food, great beer! I recommend a flight, but the hazy was my fave! Our server was friendly and helpful and checking in just often enough! We enjoyed the vibes outside chilling at the picnic tables, lucky enough to have a cloudy but not rainy day! Note that you get your own water from a cooler which leads me to the only bad thing.. that water tastes BAD! Bleh. Like hose water.

Yelp
We loved this place! We had. Great time- stopped in the with family and very windy day! They had lots of seating, the food truck had awesome Korean fries. The beers were tasty and staff was friendly!

Yelp
Here from San Diego, sight-seeing at Meredith Lake and on our way to Palo Duro. We're so impressed with the Amarillo business district. This treasure of a local brewery had been a place of solace for us. The tasting room and food truck staff have been a gift and we thank them for the beer and comfort food.
google avatar

Tasha M.

Yelp
Great service and friendly staff. I liked the variety of craft beers and drinks they had to offer. The server offered us a few samples before choosing our drinks. He also took our food orders and was always checking on us to ensure we had our glasses full. Tacos had great flavor, and I liked the chips and salsa, although it could have more kick to it. I wish I had come in earlier to try the happy hour menu. I will definitely come back whenever I come to visit town.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambience were all top-notch. I ordered the fried pickles, the pimento patty melt, and the sangria. Let me tell you--the patty melt was absolutely to die for. The sangria was the perfect complement to an already amazing meal. I'd give it a 10/10 and would happily leap off a cliff just for another bite of that masterpiece!

Yelp
Was nearby and decided to stop by and I am glad I did. They have been here 5 years. Second location coming soon. I drank some beers (flights). Really liked the Destroyer, Let the People Dance (gold winner), Skypie (wow pie in the mouth), and Sunrise. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive (thanks Lauren). They have a food truck (huge menu). They have plenty of room (inside and outside) for large groups. Dog friendly outside. Check out social media on events. I would highly recommend drinking and eating here. If nearby give it a try. Enjoy!!

Stacy M.

Yelp
Don't go if you want food. We waited 2 hours for food, and we were still 4 tickets from getting our food cooked. By the way, there were only 4 items on the menu. This could be a great place, but they need to get their act together.

Yelp
I wanted to drink some craft beer at home so I swung by Pondaseta to get my growlers filled up this weekend. The only snag was that when I got there, the pricing for growlers didn't make much sense. I'll explain. I wanted to try the Extra Special Blackburn, and a 32oz growler fill of that costs $14. That's on the pricey side for a fill up. But where it really gets odd is that, the cost of a 16oz pint is only $6. So, it would be cheaper for me to buy two pints, pour them into my growler and then head on my way. I pointed this out to the employee and his response was "we should probably be charging $7 a pint". Wow, great answer, just charge people more to justify the growler price. Apologies in advance if I cause the price of the ESB to increase. Now, to be fair, I've been to Pondaseta before and it is a great spot to hang out and drink beer. I'm just flummoxed by how their growlers are priced. How can it be more expensive to get beer to go in a growler? If I get my beer to go, I'm not taking up any space in the business, they don't have to wash by glass, I'm not using their bathroom. Are they trying to incentivize people to sit down and stay? I guess it's possible. But this is the only pricing model I've seen like this. I've never come across a brewery that charges less for beer on site than to carry it out in a growler. Anyway, actually physically sitting and drinking at Pondaseta is great. And I'll be back at some point to do that. But I will not try to fill up my growlers here again (unless something changes).

Yelp
Great beer, great snacks, great service. We stopped in on our way from Colorado to Texas and really enjoyed the beer, chips & queso, and friendly service. There was a good selection of beers, and the IPA was amazing! Give this place a stop next time you're close by.

Yelp
Made some good friends going to Monday Night Trivia. Beer and food are good. Even though dogs aren't allowed inside, I do enjoy my time here getting to have fun and relax after work.
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
Stopped in at Pondaseta for a beer and hopefully some pub grub. They don't have their own in house kitchen, per se, but they do have a food truck which offers a pretty good selection of pub grub choices. I opted for the BLTA (Bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) sandwich on marble rye. Boy was it good and the additional "A" made it that much better. Bacon was plentiful and really crispy. Oh, the beers were good too! :) Nice selection and a bartender with a personality who was engaging.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Beers were adequate. The Korean bbq on top of fries was amazing. I'd return just for those.

Ethan A.

Yelp
Great staff and ownership! Can't go wrong with any tap. Don't forget to grab a pack to go!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
They have live music it's nice to drink a beer on the patio and enjoy with friends and family.. No domestic beers or liquor unfortunately so if you aren't a big beer person you won't go for the beer haha.
google avatar

Tandy Stiner R.

Yelp
Favorite favorite place to go for sangria or fresh brewed beer. Everyone is super nice, they really get to know the customers. It's always very clean They have a food truck on site with everything made to order. I really like the fact that they shoot their media on site and it's really fun to watch. I highly recommend Pondaseta

Yelp
Delicious beer, great food, lovely ambiance. Monday's are trivia night and Friday's are for karaoke! Love the vibe here.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun atmosphere, great craft beer, and awesome servers. One of our favorite places to chill.

Cassidy P.

Yelp
We really had a great first time experience! Happy hour is SUN-THUR 3pm-6pm. I liked their pineapple cider and my husbands favorite beer he tried was the trash panda. The food was great too! We had the green chile hangover burger and the Korean fries. Both were really great. Best burger we've had in a long time.
google avatar

Chadd B.

Yelp
Great vibe! Worth the visit; good selection of swag too. Totally exceeded expectations.

Leann W.

Yelp
Fun place with good beer! Food was good. Live music was starting and looked like fun!

Yelp
Tried a couple flights of beers. Quite a large variety and all tasted really good. Wouldn't come thru town without stopping.

Yelp
I used to travel through Amarillo a lot while on road trips and I'm kicking myself for not slowing down more often when I went through because there were attractions I missed and now I'm not all that close to the small city. Not delving into their beer culture was part of this situation I found myself in. There isn't much of a craft beer scene here compared to Colorado or even in central or southern Texas for that matter but there are a few here and Pondaseta is one of them. I managed to get one beer from this brewery and I really enjoyed it a lot! Sky Pie was the name of the pecan porter I had here. It's sort of like dessert in a glass like some porters are. Maybe this one is a bit lighter than an actual Pecan Pie but it's enjoyable all the same. Rich, decadent and nutty... it was amazing! It was a bit out of season when I had this beer... I like my porters in stormy and gloomy weather but the day I had it was warm and cheerful but that didn't really matter because the Sky Pie was so fun to drink it didn't matter if we enjoyed on a warm, sunny day!
google avatar

Yelp
Beer was great, service was excellent, we love Terrill. If you like a darker brew, I highly recommend the sky pie or sky destroyer.

Yelp
Okay, so good location right off a main street. I saw a post on fb that they serve food, plus the booze which I didnt know. So I gave up my usual trip to Bubbas33 to try this spot. We arrived before 9pm, after I closed at work. Was not sure what to do as a first timer. So We headed to the bar. We actually ordered pondeseta premium. And then asked how to order food. Welp, it was a food truck right outside. I love food trucks so I was ok with still eating but food stops at 9. They have an area for karaoke, patio and inside brewery sitting. We sat in bar since the locals did not have the vocals. Lol. I cant sing either. Anyway- i got a burger and fries, so disappointed cause i think Ihop couldve done better and it was almost 15$. My husband got asada tacos, another 15$ for 3 tiny tacos with more onion than meat. The white queso was decent. We ordered another round and I got the 1-40 and my husband wanted another premium but somehow that was confusing to the waitress. So we both got 1-40 which it was good. The bar lacked a vibe. No music inside just listening to people speak. Sadly, I wont return unless I am just drinking. And maybe bring a baby speaker. Idk. The staff was super nice.
google avatar

Aubri A.

Yelp
On a road trip with dogs, just passing through. We were excited to check out the brewery but they don't allow dogs nor do they have outdoor seating. Good way to lose customers before you even get them.
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
The food was good and the beers were excellent, from what our friends told us. I don't drink beer. They also have ciders which are good too. Very extensive list of beers and ciders. I saw in a previous post that you had to go to the food truck to get your meal. We had a waitress that took our order and brought our meal to us. We went in the evening so maybe it's different during the day or they've changed it. If we go during the day, I'll repost and let you know. We mostly go out at night. Anyway, we give them a 10 on food, beverages and service.
google avatar

Sydnee J.

Yelp
Beer is outstanding! Great selection of business made brewed as well as other local and regional brews available, wine and sangria also. Food truck is delish! I wish they had a few more options but we were happy with the cheese curds and burgers
google avatar

Erika C.

Yelp
Staff and Beer was top notch! Very informative staff members - they really know their beers! Selection of beer is fantastic for all beer types! Atmosphere is great for hanging out with family or friends - plenty of seats in the tap room and outside. We didn't eat the food but saw plenty of others, and it looked amazing! If we ever come back to Amarillo, we will definitely stop by for another drink!

Yelp
We stopped at this brewery on our way to a cabin by the canyon. We were disappointed to see that we could not take our dogs in, but we were ready to get to our cabin anyhow so we just opted for beers to go. They offer a great selection. We thought they were a little on the pricey side, but the beers were delicious. And perfect to relax with while taking the canyon views.

Tony S.

Yelp
Fantastic beer! One of the best craft breweries in the country. I am from the Portland metro and know about craft beer. Good food that pairs well with their beer. Very friendly staff that knows the difference between an ale and a porter.
google avatar

Todd R.

Yelp
Great place to come if you are looking for a brew. Does not look like they make a lot of brews when it come to quantity but it is good beer. I guess of the places I have gone to in Amarillo this is the best. They took an old gas station and made it great place to meet up with friends, have some beers and snack food. Talking to one of the brewers, he said they just opened in November and we're doing good. I like the atmosphere here.
google avatar

Marie M.

Yelp
Super friendly staff, fantastic beer selection, dog friendly patio AND delicious food!! What more could you want. Really though, the nicest people work here.

Matt W.

Yelp
This is a must stop! We stayed the night in Amarillo dropped in to taste the local beer. Well worth the stop for food and drinks! We tasted multiple flavors on tab as weak as the Korean fries and Reuben burger. The fries might be the best I have ever had and in my 45 years I have eaten my fair share. Beer was delicious and there was a variety of flavor for all beer drinker and those who aspire to be beer drinkers! Service was wonderful, there when you had an empty glass but held back so you enjoyed your time!. Forgive any grammar mistakes as I have been drinking a copious amount of their delicious brews.
google avatar

Margaret T.

Yelp
Great food and vibe, terrible and reluctant service. It was like pulling teeth to order, ask for things while we were eating, etc. our waiter's shift ended in the middle of our time there and not a word about it, we just saw him walking away with his cooler. his replacement server seemed reluctant and burdened by the fact he had to serve us. Amazing food though, I'll give it that. Just snobby and entitled staff.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
Stopped here on my way through Amarillo and the food truck and the beer did not disappoint! Plus, they were super dog friendly.
google avatar

Kent K.

Yelp
Great beers, cool spot and super friendly people. Went for an evening beer on a Wed, stayed for the live music. Food menu hit the spot. Can't wait to go back!!
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
I was in town for a few hours and took a chance on this place based on the many positive reviews. I got the Classic Burger from their food truck. I don't say this lightly: it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I also had the Sunrise Amber Ale. Delicious. Staff was super friendly. The guy who dropped off my food also grabbed me napkins without me needing to ask. The ambiance was chill and friendly. It was crowded (this was 3pm on a Saturday) but not too loud. If I was local, this would be a go to spot.

Yelp
Pondaseta is an absolute gem in Amarillo. Every staff member we talked to was knowledgeable about their beers, and they were all willing to really dig into our preferences so they could make the best possible recommendations. Most breweries have good people behind the bar, but everyone we interacted with at Pondaseta was incredibly passionate about their brewery. Every beer we tried here was well-executed. From their perfectly simple Volksbier to the more adventurous berry-inspired beers, I would purchase each one of them again. If you're looking for great beer in Amarillo, Pondaseta is absolutely worth a visit.
google avatar

Christine K.

Yelp
Hands down one of the top 5 breweries I have ever been to! I hate that we don't live closer. Stopped by on our way back home. Amazing and knowledgeable staff! Couldn't find a beer we didn't like. Would absolutely recommend this brewery to anyone passing through or in the area! They truly go above and beyond while providing some stellar beers!

Brittany B.

Yelp
I had a really great time at this brewery. The food truck had fantastic food, the beer was great and all the staff members were awesome. Everyone was so friendly. They have really cool merchandise too, I got some stickers and a flag for my garage. They have a ton of shirts and hats too. There's a large outdoor patio with a big painted mural on the back wall, overall just a really inviting atmosphere. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Amarillo! Highly recommend if you're in the area!
google avatar

Terra M.

Yelp
The beer tender at this brewery was so nice, informative, helpful and just fun to talk to. We liked the beer. I bought a 4 pack of Blackberry Entanglement- sour. I really like this sour, it is delicious and I would definitely buy it again.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
So many good things about this place 1. The people. We interacted with 3 different employees and every single one was genuinely nice and engaged and seemed like they enjoyed their job 2. The beer. Varied selection; anyone will be able to find something to their liking, whether it's a hoppy IPA or a sour or a lager. So many options 3. The food. Not a lot of options but what they do have is GOOD 4. The space. Plenty of seating, inside and out. We were just passing through but I wish we had a spot like this closer because it would be my regular.

Kat M.

Yelp
We were visiting Amarillo to hike in the state parks. Ended up here after a day of hiking. Everyone was super friendly and helpful when deciding on a beer. The patio was perfect with the weather. There's a food truck and live music was starting when we left.

Yelp
What a GEM!! This place has the best vibe!! Great cold brews, friendly/welcoming spot, awesome patio & their food truck is ready to whip up the perfect local treats. Already pumped to stop back next time thru Amarillo!!
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
My husband ordered while we were in town on a Monday and we didn't find out til we were there that they were closed again due to covid 19 orders. We saw that someone was there in the back. She was nice to come to our car to see what we wanted and then climbed up to the roof where her bosses were. Yep up to the roof! After that they said she could get my husbands order! Wow blown away by the service! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Great beers! We loved both of their hazy ipas and sours! Bunch of options to take to go as well.
