I recently visited Ponte Pietre in Verona, and I was blown away by the stunning views of the Adige River from the bridge! The medieval architecture and the Arco di Augusto added a touch of history and charm to the experience. What struck me most was the way the bridge seemed to come alive during sunset, with the golden light casting a warm glow on the ancient stones. To get the best views, we took the funicular to the top, which was a great decision! The round-trip ride cost just €3, and the panoramic views from the top were simply awesome. If you're visiting Verona, Ponte Pietre is a must-see – it's a perfect blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty. Don't miss the funicular ride.

A beautiful bridge on the way to the castle. Beautiful views to both sides.

Strange to review a bridge, it does the job well at getting you from one side of the river to the other without getting wet. It is a pretty little bridge, amazing that parts of the original bridge from 100BC are still there! I thought it would be the paler stones that were the original but it turns out it is the darker, brown bricks, those Romans knew what they were doing alright

Beautiful old bridge. We admired the view of St Peter’s Hill from here, as well as the waves of the river beneath it. There were people doing river rafting which was interesting to watch.

A striking Roman bridge dating back to 100 BC. Spanning the Adige River, it features elegant arches and offers picturesque views of the city and surrounding hills. The bridge beautifully blends history and charm, making it a must-visit landmark for anyone exploring Verona. Its serene atmosphere and architectural beauty provide a perfect backdrop for photos and leisurely strolls.

The Ponte della Vittoria (in Venetian Ponte de la Vitoria ) is an infrastructural work located in Verona along the Adige river ; it was built to a design by Ettore Fagiuoli to celebrate the battle of Vittorio Veneto and the victory of the First World War .

I came to this place after it had rained for several days in a row around Verona. I look at the water, at its strength and power, at the way it hits the bridge and I am speechless with admiration. It's magnificent! And be sure to go to the shop to the right of the bridge, where you can buy wine and snacks and walk out into the little fenced-in courtyard overlooking the bridge and the river. You'll love it because there's no one there but you and the river.
