"Featuring stunning views over the eponymous valley, this aptly named former pub now operates more as a restaurant, with a lengthy refurbishment expanding its scope to include an orangery dining room and a cookery school. The menu uses the seasons as a guide and showcases produce from the kitchen garden in vibrant, colourful dishes which mix creative and a few traditional elements – look out for the 'Pony Garden Salad' that comes as an extra course at dinner. The midweek set menu offers great value for money." - Michelin Inspector

The Pony catered our wedding and were sensational! The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. Holly, Emma & Josh went over and beyond and really made our day. Our guests have not stopped complementing the food, and many said it is the best wedding food they have ever had...and we couldn't agree more! I can not recommend the food here enough - we can't wait to come in soon - Thank you SO much Pony!

We had an absolutely fabulous meal here last night. Worthy of a Michelin star. We were worried it would be busy but managed to go on the spur of the moment. The Cornish mackerel starter and mussels and clams starter were both superb. The Pony garden salad was absolutely beautiful and strangely may have been one of the best dishes, and the massive 37oz sharing steak was perfectly done (rare) as requested. The Santa Teresa Sicilian red went with it all perfectly on a warm summer night.

A humbly fantastic meal. We had the place to ourselves when we sat down at 6pm on a Wednesday until others joined us throughout the night. The bread station was a lovely touch with us walking up to choose our home baked breads. Most of the produce is grown by themselves and as a result you feel more appreciative of what you’re eating. An incredibly professional yet homely experience. The only negative is they don’t take Amex.

Excellent atmosphere Mediocre service - the front of house was nice but the staff serving food does not feel warm Food was not bad, but is this the best Sunday lunch I have had? Probably not. Still, tasty enough.

We had the most delicious Sunday lunch experience here, stunning views, fabulous service and the most tasty food. It is great to have you serving us again. We will be back!

Came for a joint birthday lunch. Had the scallops to start and I must say in all the times ive had scallops as a starter in a restaurant, I don't think I have ever had any that were so small. For the price of £18 for 3 tiny ones I was quite disgusted. The main of cod was nice, fish was cooked well and the sides of greens and potatoes were ok although not piping hot at delivery. Dessert of key lime cheesecake was ok but my cheesecake is better. A rather off putting fact to note is that there were lots of flies in the restsurant that were buzzing around the table. A mediocre meal but not worth the £61 price tag

What a delightful surprise. We were looking for a good restaurant the night before a flight from Bristol airport and thought the menu looked good. It was all much better than good. The place is beautifully done with a generous, relaxing dining room (it’s a bit of a tardis from the outside). The staff are helpful, prompt, pleasant and it really is seamless. The food was really excellent. Recommend the trout to start, and either the hake or the brill to follow. The taste balances are interesting and nicely thought through. Apparently the owners have eight different restaurants so they know what they’re doing. We’re going back shortly to enjoy the view during the day.

The most gorgeous food and beautiful views! We loved our meal here and the picturesque views made it all the more special.
