They have the best mocha, and they also have a ton of sugar free syrup options! Staff are super friendly and they also have a punch card to earn a free coffee. Definitely my fav coffee stand/drive thru!

The coffee itself is the star. It’s smooth and decadent. The flavors are just an added bonus. I hope they stay around a long time, their business grows and they can keep bringing top-notch coffee. Don’t let the small building fool you (it’s a drive-thru/walk-up only).

Great coffee stand. I lived in Washington State for a while. They had stands on every other corner. Pone Espresso does it right. Friendly people, good coffee and prompt service.

First off ,wow where have I been all these years this place is a must for me. As a former master barista myself I understand the complexity and the values of this craft. I look forward to coming here every morning. If you want coffee options with a rich, balanced flavor with bright acidity and a lingering sweetness, showcasing a complex profile of citrus and floral notes with a smooth finish you will definitely want to stop here.

I stopped here after my sons doctors appointment, I am not from the area and was honestly surprised. This may be some of the best coffee myself and husband have had. I got a hot pumpkin flavor and him a frozen mocha. It was not overly sweet, fake tasting, nor bitter. Pricing was reasonable. I am truly sad I'm an hour away from here because I would go more often. If you are looking for a good coffee you need to check this place out! I plan on making the hour drive again just to grab a coffee.

I stop in there every day before I go to work. Great coffee and great service. I had a cookie the other day that one of the baristas recommend, it was life- changing, good. Look forward to getting one again

Always stop here when I am in town. Service is very fast and the girls who work here are incredibly kind! Cant find a better smoothie anywhere. The only negative is that they close way too early!

This place is so cute I just had to try it one day. I finally got the chance to stop by last week on my way to Clayton NC. Had to have something to keep me focused along the drive. Pulled in on the right side ordered my drink they quickly prepared it. Grabbed one of the blueberry muffins by the window and off I went. I will be back!!

Gave this place a shot (no pun intended) and well....I was extremely disappointed. Being an Expresxpert myself, I set the bar high for these places, because I know how easy it is to make a great Latte. I originally ordered a Sugar Free Pumpkin Spice Latte. Don't judge me! It was delicious, but the girl who took my order seemed irritated that I had asked for my shots to be "Lungo" aka long pull. I don't think she knew what that meant . After trying to explain, I gave up, because I was more interested in a "spit free" beverage. After a short wait I received my beverage. The Latte was warm and for a Sugar Free Latte, it was "meh". I feel like they just poured cold milk into Pumpkin Spice Coffee. In conclusion, if you are a snob like me, you'd be better off at Starbucks or somewhere with trained Baristas.

This little drive through is a gem! Delicious hot and iced coffee and smoothies. Peach is so good and fresh. Try it with a cheddar & jalapeño scone... you won't be sorry. Quick and friendly staff.

I spotted the little spot as i was driving back to go to work. Immediately did a u-turn n stopped for a refreshing wake up. I'm so glad i did. I ordered an iced mocha latte and it was made perfectly. So delicious. They even had a treat for my dog. Thank you so much.

At first we were a little confused at the size of the building when we saw pony espresso but we went anyways and it was very very good! Their matcha is a little bit too sweet but still very good and their scones and coffee cakes are good too! I highly recommend. They also have quick service and always a short line

I have to have coffee! I received a gift card for Pony Expresso as a Christmas gift, how lucky am I! I really think the coffee at Pony Expresso is the BEST in the area! And I can't say enough about the awesome service. The staff is always smiling and really seem to appreciate every customer.

Solid coffee, solid pastries, great service. 10/10 would recommend. Great stop on the workweek heading out to Bragg and always open when you need it.

This is our favorite place for coffee in Southern Pines. My wife adores the Mocha Latte with whip cream. The staff is fast and very friendly.

I haven't been frequenting Pony Espresso as much as I had been but I can say the last 4-5 times have been consistent 2-3 star experiences. Watery Americano, crazy prices, orders wrong. It seems a little better when the owner is there. I've given up on ordering Americanos from them so today I ordered a chai. It was $4.25 and microscopic. Literally 8-10 oz in a 12 oz cup.

Ask for Rudy(if he is there) to make you a coffee. You. Will. Not. Regret. It. Even if he is not there it's still a great coffee stop. Fast too!

Finally found a great cup of coffee in town. Everywhere else served watered down coffee IMO.

This is the absolute best cup of coffee I have had since moving to North Carolina from the North East. Their iced coffee is strong, dark and rich (tastes like cold brew method). The women who work there (I haven't been served by a fellow yet) are all lovely and pleasant without being obnoxiously cheery. Everything you could possibly want for a quick cup of well-made coffee. I wish they would open up a larger establishment as Cup 'o Flow coffee is weak and the other coffee shop in town feels like an older folks' kind of joint.

The blended-ice coffee drinks put Starbucks and the like to shame.

It's the coffee place that looks like an outhouse but serves a mean cup of coffee. With two drive-thru windows located on either side, this is a great place to get your fix if you're in a hurry.

Can't say enough about this find. Visiting from Chicago, I found this place on Yelp. You get there by driving into an abandoned lot and alongside what is more accurately described as a coffee "booth" than a coffee shop. It's all about coffee and friendly service (I think I'm in love with the server). The coffee is hands down the best I recall ever having and I've had coffee pretty much every day for almost 40 years. Oh, and conveniently, they don't mess with coins under a quarter. The coffee was so delicious that I drove 4 miles round trip for a 2nd cup!

Best chai tea in town... And I have tried them all! I usually grab a small chai ($4.50... Ouch) but worth it... And a scone ($2) they carry from local business Pinescones. All good experiences, and worth the higher price.

This is a cool little coffee shack that sits, literally, in a parking lot at the corner of an intersection. Every time I am in town for business I have to go here! Their dirty chai is amazing! It's a must-try if you are in Southern Pines!

The BEST coffee in town. It literally makes my day to go there every morning before work. The staff is incredible and usually have my order waiting on me when I pull up. I don't know what they do to make their coffee so damn good but it keeps me coming back! Wish I could give this place 20 stars.

Have been really unhappy with my recent stops here lately...today was the icing on the cake. I waited in line for at least ten minutes while the employee chatted with the person in the car in front of me (keep in mind they had already received their purchase...they were just talking). I regret waiting though...my order of an iced dirty vanilla chai came to me as a regular hot chai latte, the cup was an inch and a half from being full and still cost almost $6. I was in too much of a rush after waiting through the said conversation between the barista and the car in front of me though to say anything and wait to have another one made. I've tried calling a few times to discuss this but it seems as though they don't answer their phone. Very disappointed with this experience.

Love, love love! This is the perfect place to go if you are anti-chain coffee! Open seven days a week and the staff are all extremely sweet! They were more than willing to try two new coffee recipes and nailed them both! I go here almost everyday. PERFECT for on-the-go-coffee! Keep up the great work!
