My experience at Ponzi was absolutely wonderful! The views and atmosphere inside/outside were exquisite and the wine was delicious! Im from Kansas and had a girls weekend in Portland- we made it a point to check out one of the top rated wineries in the area and Ponzi did not disappoint! Shannon was our waitress and she was so kind and knowledgeable about the history of the winery, wines, and founders and helped to make our experience memorable. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Portland.

What a treat! I visited Ponzi Winery with a dear friend and had such a lovely experience- just wish the whole family could’ve joined. The setting is beautiful, with a play area for kids and a garden space perfect for live music and picnic-style relaxation. The charcuterie was top-notch, the wines rich and delicious, and the gelato absolutely hit the spot. Huge thanks to Shannon for being such a knowledgeable and welcoming host, and to Phil, the manager, who treated me like an old friend. Looking forward to coming back - maybe with a book in hand or even my laptop to get some work done!

I just wanted to take a quick moment to share my recent experience with your tasting room in Sherwood. Genevieve was absolutely amazing. She greeted me at the door with a smile and made me feel right at home. She hung up my coat and made me feel valued. It was a great tasting and it was all because of her. She spoke with passion for the wines and ended up selling me a few that we both liked. The tasting room's vibe was very well done as well!

Google
Outstanding wine, food and a truly expert and personable wine educator. I did the lunch experience with wine pairings. I had no experience with Ponzi Vineyards. I came out a big fan and subscriber. Lush pinot noir, smooth chardonnays. Combined with a beautiful view of historic Willamette Valley vineyards, this is a required stop. My hats off to Phillip Marsh who walked me through each course and the nuances of each wine. Bravo!

Google
Welcoming and warm! What a beautiful, serene, peaceful place to drop in for a glass of wine or wine tasting, and a delicious bite to eat. The setting is stunning! Cozying up by the fireplace was so lovely. Really enjoyed being there with our large group. The staff was so welcoming, inviting, attentive and really made us feel like we were valued guests in their home. OH! And I learned they are all ORGANIC!! Who knew?! If you haven’t visited Ponzi since they were acquired, you should 👍.

My friends from Kansas and I were visiting Portland and wanted to experience a day at a winery in the Willamette Valley - views, Pinot Noir, and ambiance were very important to us and Ponzi Vineyards checked ALL of those! What a lovely and historical vineyard to visit. Shannon, the brand ambassador, who served us, was so well-versed in the history of Ponzi and the wines they offer. The wines were delicious, views gorgeous, and overall experience made us feel VIP despite the fact that the signature flight of $50 is actually SO reasonable considering quality of wine. Highly, highly recommend a visit to Ponzi for a day trip if you’re visiting the Portland area.

Google
The MOST lovely staff. Kimberly and Genevieve (I apologize if I spelled anybody’s name wrong) in particular are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make this vineyard feel like a real community. With delicious and well balanced wine, amazing food, and a gorgeous view Ponzi is a place I can’t help but keep coming back to. I highly highly recommend visiting🥂 It is so worth the experience

Yelp
What a stunning venue, when you drive up you sense the natural beauty, but the inner decor is really a treat, we truly loved the vibes and would love to party here or call it home! Service was incredible, everyone was kind and personable. I loved that and felt truly cared about. The wines were really good, but it didn't beat La Tache, except on price :) The cheese board was great and I hope they keep such great local cheeses going on, I do wish they had a more full menu. We're coming back!!!

Noanya S.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! Did the lunch pairing and the food was great and paired very well with the wine. The experience felt personal and private and although we weren't members we never felt less than. The som seemed knowledgeable and stayed professional throughout. Any additional wines that weren't included in our tasting that we wanted to try, she made happen. If visiting the area if definitely give Ponzi a go.

Tim R.

Yelp
Had a great time with our server Matthew. He explained the wines and the winery perfectly. My only issue is again with the POS system that winery's use. The tasting fee was $80 for two people. I purchased $500 worth of wine. The suggested tip in the system was over $100. Why should tip on wine I am buying? Do I do that in a grocery store? Wineries needs to fix this.

Agnes Y.

Yelp
The vineyard is beautiful and the tasting room has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Our server was pleasant and helpful. We ordered a bottle of their 2021 Ponzi Abetina II Pinot Noir which was $110; and they actually charged $25 bottle fee! Since it was a weekday, the snacks were very limited, the harvest board was not available. There were five of us and we had an order of warm baguette, truffle popcorn, and a couple of candied hazelnuts. The wine was okay but not worth the price tag. Overall, for $200 (including gratuities), it was not a very good value.

Terrence M.

Yelp
Harvest Tour Pros: This tasting and tour was absolutely beautiful. The grapes were out of this world! We got a chance to actually taste the various grapes off the vine and wow! The wine was super good! I dont drink wine or red because of the bitter taste sometimes. But their red wines were so smooth and tasty and sis not leave a bad taste!!!!! There were a lot of bees but its to be expected at a vineyard!! 10 out of 10 would visit this spot again. Cons: N/A

Yelp
This winery is absolutely beautiful, the views are vast and it the inside is very clean and modern looking. I visited for the first time last weekend with friends and we all agreed that it felt sterile. First the tasting, $45 for 4 small pours is OVERPRICED IMO. The vibe we received of the place was "you're lucky to be here" rather than "we are so happy to have you here and for you to be a potential member" I'm a member at another winery and compared to there the service is night and day. The wines for me were not very memorable and I concluded that this will not be a place I would like to revisit or recommend to anyone that I know.

Sandy P.

Yelp
I came for the $85 food and wine pairing experience. The winery is beautiful, the grounds are spectacular, and the woman who took care of us was warm and friendly, and knew her stuff about the wine. The wine was absolutely delicious -- every single wine we tasted. Yes, it's very expensive and thus not an everyday wine for me, but it was worth splurging on a few bottles. The table for the food and wine event was beautifully set, and it was a really fun experience and I got to meet some interesting new people. The food was phenomenal, and the chef did a great job explaining his choices and what we were eating and why. I've done a lot of wine pairings, and this was truly the best, where every wine perfectly suited the food and vice versa. They were generous with the wine at this event, and there was always something in our glasses. The only reason I give four starts instead of five is because I called ahead to explain that I didn't eat red meat and asked if they could accommodate me, and they told me the chef would make a substitution. I expected chicken or tofu or even beans instead of the steak, but they just increased the amount of veggies on my plate. They were delicious, but there was no protein in my meal, and not even a slice of bread, piece of cheese, a nut or anything substantial. Drinking wine with just veggies left me loopy for the rest of the day, not to mention that I paid the same as everyone else but didn't get a main course. This didn't take away from my enjoyment of the winery, but I hope the staff will be more willing and able to accommodate people who want to enjoy a pairing without the beef.

Yelp
We went here for a girl's weekend. Wines were fantastic! View and ambiance as well. Such a great time. Try the 21' Pinot Reserve

Carolyn P.

Yelp
Courtney is a wonderful wine ambassador and I especially loved the Pinot Noirs on the Signature Tasting flight!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to do our wedding and honeymoon super low key and save as much money as we can for a house while still having a nice time. I won't go into wedding details since this review is about our honeymoon, but trust that we did a fantastic job of having an inexpensive, lovely wedding. My husband and I enjoy a nice bottle of wine occasionally, so we figured since we're super close to Oregon wine country and we should take advantage. Ponzi is one of our favorites and it's less than an hour from where we live. Score! The lunch we sat down to was pre-planned out for us, including which wines they'd pair with each dish. Every bite was sumptuous and almost sinful. The wines perfectly complimented the courses. And while it was a bit spendy, it was honestly worth every penny. The dining room is positively gorgeous and the views are stunning. Highly recommend.

Ron T.

Yelp
This is the vineyard I was most looking forward to. The tasting room and views are probably the best we visited. We have had the wine at restaurants and at our house, but it seemed lacking at the winery. It seemed the wine was always better when the host was in love with the wine and ours was not.

Aparna B.

Yelp
This place had been on our list for a long time and so when we had our friend in town and did not have anything better to do on a snowy Sunday morning, we decided to head to Ponzi. Everything from start to finish was just perfect at this place. We tried their tasting flight and also got a few bonus pours. As I am mostly a red wine drinker, was really surprised when I liked both their Riesling and Chardonnay. I also really liked their reserve Pinot and the gelato wine they have went so well with all the dried fruit on their charcuterie board. The tasting room was tastefully decorated for the holidays and we got to sit by a cozy fire. The person who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this place and their wines.

Erika G.

Yelp
Ponzi makes my favorite Oregon wines. It was so fun to be able to enjoy their wine in person. So beautiful and serene. FOOD: We added the charcuterie board to our reservation - it was a disappointing board for $40 but nice to have something to munch on while we enjoyed our wine. The wine were all great. I did an all white flight so it was nice to be able to customize with your preference. AMBIANCE: Beautiful scenery and location. It felt so nice and the view is gorgeous. Super clean and elegant. SERVICE/PRICE: Service was good, although we had 3-4 different hosts throughout our experience which got a bit confusing. It's a bit pricey but worth it to go at least once. Food & Beverages: 4 (would be higher if the board was better) Ambiance & Cleanliness: 4.5 Price Point: 3.5 Overall Experience: 4

Yelp
What a beautiful vineyard, overall space + delicious wine selection. I adored the modern touches of the space - the cement finishes, black furniture to contrast and the covered terrace. This was one of our first actual vineyards that we've been able to visit since living in Portland and we were not disappointed. My favorites of the signature tasting were the Chardonnay and complimentary/welcome rosé. We also ordered the cheese + charcuterie selection to share. A few things I'd like to call out is that I wish we would've received an explanation of the estate, which I'm sure that was probably part of the estate tasting but we only did the signature tasting. It just would've been nice to know what we could check out/where we could walk around since it was our first time there. Additionally, at $45 for the signature tasting, the pours could've been a little bit more. Currently, Ponzi is only accepting reservations which can you make online. It's a $10 booking fee per person, which upon checking out, states the fee will be applied to your final cost. However, after we finished, we were billed the total cost and the initial $10 per person booking fee was fully refunded to us. Just thought I'd throw that out there since I was a little confused and had to ask our host about it. Overall, we had a great time here and would definitely come back.

Yelp
Harvest Hike & Sunset Tasting - we enjoyed an afternoon hike through the Vineyard with a guided tour of the vineyard and the winery. We enjoyed the Rose for the afternoon. It was a perfect afternoon enjoying wine, playing Bocce Ball and taking in the beautiful views. The team was friendly and fun.

Bennette I.

Yelp
Attended a member tasting event and it was a pleasant afternoon even though it was cold and raining outside. I am not new to Ponzi, they always do a great job of hosting member events. We were greeted at the door with bubbles (Blanc De Blanc and entered another space with two other tastings (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) paired with small bites (ceviche and brie bite). We moved to the second area and tried another additional wines (2 Pinot Noirs) and more small bites (fritter and crostini). I am traditionally not a red wine drinker and the second room offered reds. I declined and they provided me with two glasses of bubbles as an alternative. The bubbles was my absolute favorite of the day so I was thrilled to have another. There were high top pub tables and no chairs. I didn't mind but one of the girls in the group recently had a leg injury so finding a place to sit wasn't really an option for her. The bites were decent, not overly exciting but paired well with the wine. If you came hungry you would've needed to grab a bite afterward. For the price, it would've been nice to see more hearty appetizers. The interior space is beautiful and the views of the vines and exterior landscape is undeniably gorgeous even on an inclement weather day.

Masaya U.

Yelp
Ponzi is one of our favorites with beautiful views, great wine and excellent service. Anytime of year is a great visit whether it's a Spring or Summer visit spent outside playing bocce ball or a Fall or Winter's Day by the fireplace sipping from their tasting menu.

Yelp
5/14/21 Visiting from California I wasn't aware that due to Covid most wineries require a reservation. I called and got Jessica who was so pleasant, I advised I was new in town and she gave great recommendations for nearby wineries as well. We took the scenic route, the valley is so green and lush and wound up being 20 minutes late. Jessica remembered us, saved us a wonderful seat on the patio with a bench and outdoor fire pit which I'm sure is beautiful on a balmy day. The views were wonderful. This is an ultra modern and sleek tasting room that's also unpretentious. It's beautiful. The wines were delicate my boyfriend isn't a wine drinker our hostess gave an extra pour of Arneis which wasn't included in our tasting to find something he would like. The regular tasting is $25. We left with a bottle of Pinot Blanc which is $20. It's unfortunate that you're unable to purchase and enjoy your bottle on the premises but maybe next time (not sure if that's due to Covid). And there definitely will be a next time.

Yelp
We held a business meeting here. First the venue and the staff were tremendous. Second the setting and the views were fantastic. I'm h and everyone enjoyed the wine as well as our lunch. Great people, great location.

Yelp
Simply fabulous. Great wine list and beautiful winery! Just about a 35-40 min drive from Downtown Portland. I highly recommend going online to reserve a table on their website about 24 hours in advanced (maybe a little more if it's for the weekend). They have tables on their terrace area and a few in the sun. Just beautiful views!!!! We did their spring flight and ordered a small plate that had fruit and dried cheeses. The wine was delicious- and we left with about 6 bottles!! Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back again!!

Jessica C.

Yelp
Martin is amazing , if he isn't serving you your flight and blowing your mind with knowledge you aren't experiencing Ponzi. The culture & passion is evident and the wine is fantastic , I'm A Pinot noir lady myself and the Chardonnay is divine ! Ohh the Dolcetto, and Rose'!!!! Yummy !! Sooo good

Yelp
It was a cold day, we were on a mission, our friend was seeking a local winery to purchase many cases for his end of year holiday gifts for his clients as opposed to continuing with the winery he'd been using in California. Reservations are suggested, we were on a waiting list, no one ever got back to us so I inquired knowing that if this place had good to great wines then this place would make a great match for my friend in the Portland area. As much as we were not pampered by the MOD, (there were open free tables on the highly sought after upper full sun gorgeous view deck as well as one indoors), we were sat in the shade on the lower level deck with less beauty and less views. Our server/pourer was wonderful. As she put it she had 1000 years of experience. She even allowed us to move into a full sun lower deck location as soon as it was available. The absolute most wonderful aspect of Ponzi is the WINE! The wines - all the wines - every one on the flight and more are each and individually outstanding! Originally from New York and brought up in an Italian family where wine was a part of life. In addition to many Oregon wineries, In the past 12 years I've been to Napa, I've been to Sonoma, I've been to Pasa Robles. I've enjoyed many wineries and wine tasting throughout the entire state of Ca. with not so enjoyable wines. As well as having enjoyed some wines at many wineries, but this is the 1st experience where I enjoyed EVERY ONE OF THE WINES WITHOUT EXCEPTION at the same winery. Our friends from Portland left with a case and we flew back to Ca. with a couple of bottles in our suitcases. Thank you & Kudos to you Ms. Ponzi

Yelp
Per the Yelp Star's rating system, ok aka 3 stars is the assessment. One of my cousins made reservations for our visit because they know I enjoy savoring a really good Pinot Noir. Thankfully, Ponzi Vineyards required Covid 19 vaccination cards for entry. We'd been missing a tasty Pinot Noir in a good vineyard environment so two of my cousins and I with vaccination cards in hand headed over to Ponzi Vineyards. We happily presented our vaccination cards. The wait staff graciously answered all our questions promptly which made a good first impression upon us. We had a Pinot Noir, either Tacoma Pinot Noir or Ponzi Pinot Noir Reserve, with plates of fruit and cheese and sat outside relaxing and savoring feelings of sensuous in a vineyard, a very beautiful vineyard, we hadn't had for a very long time. We lingered, pondered the beauty of the life surrounding us and just relaxed. Locally owned, they are adequate with product and customer service. The place was clean, including the bathroom. It seemed to us to be on the expensive side which is understandable and acceptable with the high quality of the wines we tasted, the gorgeous ambiance the wines are presented in and the elegant pampering and well-presented wine knowledge from the outstanding professional wait staff. We observed minute-by-minute mitigation of operational issues with smooth and suave planning, training and corrections, never letting a customer see their service people rush or sweat, and never allow their service people to rush the customer out-the-door. A 3-star ok rating to me is an acceptable rating of a business that does day in and day out what they are in business to do. It is certainly NOT a negative review. Four and Five-Stars to me is when a business goes over and beyond what they are in the business to do. For example, having a Veterans and Military Discount. A Veterans Discount is particularly important to all Disabled Veterans unable to be employed as they are on a very small and fixed income for life. A Veterans Discount provides a resource to ensure Active Duty who are a rare .04% of the population, and Veterans, who are a rare 7% of the population, the opportunity to participate in the American Dream their sacrifices have made possible.

Yelp
Such a beautiful vineyard and tasting room. Ponzi's landscaping, views, and modern tasting room/patio is the best I've seen so far. I'm sad that my experience did not live up to its complete potential (COVID impacted), but that just means I will be coming back! Arrived on a Sunday right at opening and had the place to ourselves outside surrounding the fire pit on a foggy + lightly misty day for a few hours before other guests arrived. It may have not been sunny out but the fog laying over the vineyard and hills was still such a sight to see Due to current restrictions, there was no food, no flights, and no bottle service. So... make sure you eat beforehand! Our server Shannon was great. I could tell she was sorry for the limited offerings but made sure to educate us on what the winery was like during it's more "normal" operations. She suggested when to come to enjoy chef specials in the future and helped with explaining the flavors of the wines available for tasting. They were offering only 4 wines by the glass, 2 whites (Pinot Grigio and Arneis) and 2 reds (Pinot Noir and Dalcetto). I had 2 glasses of the Arneis and 1 of the Dolcetto. The Dolcetto was more bold and dry, a nice wine for those into reds. I preferred the Arneis since it was dry, light and a tint fruity - a unique White offered only at this Vineyard. Wish it could've been paired with some food! Def enjoyed the fire pit on a cold day which made being outside bearable!

Yelp
Thank you, Courtney for an amazing experience! You were very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. We will be back.

Davee C.

Yelp
We've been part of the Ponzi wine club almost 2 years now and it's a favorite place for us to have a quiet, romantic, afternoon together. The staff are always welcoming and the wines are lovely. It was also the perfect setting for a proposal ;)

Leslie O.

Yelp
The property is so beautiful! We were greeted by a really sweet young gal who gave us tasting menus and sat us outside by the fire pit on the deck. It was comfortable and lovely. Our server was new in the past 3 months and it was clear. I ordered the 45 dollar tasting with 4 wines. My husband ordered a glass of Chardonnay and then a glass of Pinot. None of the pours were generous. My husband did not care for the wine. I thought they were ok, but very light and thin. I did like the second Pinot but when my husband asked her to give a little splash more so he could taste it so said no it's two ounces and that's all you get. It was nowhere near two ounces, I finished it in three sips. We thought they we're trying to sell wine here but apparently not. Also my husband had wanted the have a glass of the sparkling wine but after ordering was told they didn't serve it by the glass. He said fine we'll have a bottle of it but we're told they couldn't serve it to us that way. On our way out we noticed an open bottle on ice! We purchased a bottle of it to take with us as well as the Pinot that I liked but only because we wanted a gift for our hosts in Sherwood. Our host later told me she had had two less than wonderful experiences there.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Beautiful winery overlooking rolling hills of vineyards and flowers. Stopped by on a quiet weekday without a reservation and was able to enjoy a tasting. The tasting room felt like a classy restaurant with a menu of tasty bites and flatbreads. The fireplace and clean modern decor with large windows overlooking the grounds was beautiful. We thought the $45 tasting was pricier than other wineries in the areas, especially for the light splashes that were offered. Still managed to select a favorite and purchase to bring home a couple of bottles of a nice Pinot Noir. No discounts on the tasting for purchases, or perhaps they were more required. Overall the wine was a bit on the higher end than I had anticipated but the grounds were pretty so a nice stop as part of a tour or short afternoon visit but unlikely my winery choice in the area.

K K.

Yelp
Beautiful views. Decent wines. The beet hummus was tasty. The service was subpar. Server kept complaining to her coworker how busy she was and there were only 4 groups in the winery totaling 9 people. Marred what would have been a good experience. Free EV charger on site and accessible.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
It. Was. Perfect. The service was wonderful too. Zero complaints. If I lived in OR I'd visit all the time.

Quyen B.

Yelp
What a beautiful place and only 30 min drive from Portland! wow.. It was a perfect weather day, we were so lucky. We were in town for only 2 days and due to the wildfire closures, we couldn't do the Columbia River sightseeing. We headed west instead and spent the afternoon wine tasting and enjoying the view. Our server was very nice and friendly, so were the bees. $20 wine tasting, you can order snacks like the cheese or charcuterie plate which we did. Enjoyed everything and ended up with a bottle of Pinot Noir and 4 pack of sparking grape juice. We ordered one with the wine tasting, it was refreshing. This would be a place I could go every weekend to spend a nice afternoon if I live in the area.

Derek D.

Yelp
Staff is very very knowledgeable about the wines, the different taste that the soil adds to the favor of the wines. They use the gravitation process to create their wines, less machinery. Great tasting room with small appetizers.

Rob B.

Yelp
Beautiful and delicious! The staff are wonderful. If you like it buy it there! Wish I had can't find at home.

Serena T.

Yelp
The decoration in this place is absolutely amazing. They sit over 90 acres of land and they just created a new sub AVA! Apparently, the owners have been trying to define their soil as a separate AVA for the past several years, and finally in 2020, their soil was defined as Laurelwood sub AVA, a sub AVA from the sub-region of Chehalam. The wine is good, but I feel like the wine is open to personal interpretation, and I will not score them based on their wine. The service was pretty good, a little over-priced I shall say. $45 for a poke ball (a very small one) and two glasses of Blanc de blanc and rose of piont noir. The standard pinot noir was served in their wine tasting. It was not my absolute favorite, but nonetheless, we had a great time. The view is exceptional.

Patti K.

Yelp
Solid wine, beautiful winery and tasting room with gorgeous views of the rolling hills. Seating is available both inside and out - and once you check in they come to your table and pour your tasting one by one. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There are some small bites (cheese and charcuterie) plates available, but pricey for what you get - $26. Don't expect a "lunch-sized" platter to arrive - but the cheeses were good choices and accompanied the wines nicely. Regardless of what you read elsewhere this winery is NOT dog-friendly which for me is a huge bummer.

Bernard J.

Yelp
This was the first winery winery we visited from Willamette Valley. The views and winery are beautiful. We would have loved a tour, but they were suspended because of Covid. We were expecting the service to be a bit better and more personal, but it was pretty similar to the stand-offish treatment I've come to expect from big California regions like Napa. They missed a big opportunity of letting us get familiar with the winery and history, which made this a very forgettable experience. The wine tasting was $35, a bit steep, especially when the first wine is a screw cap wine from last year's vintage, and there were only 4 wines total to taste, no offer for a bonus. Overall, we did not get value for our money and it was a bad first experience of Willamette Valley.

Aniece S.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and their wines are pretty great. This is primarily a tasting room however, the staff is wonderful and great and very knowledgeable. I would return here for just a glass and the view. The current tasting is $20. The deck is amazing with fire pits and heaters. Now if you are coming up to this vineyard please be aware of a few things. Outside food is not allowed and you can not purchase bottles to drink on the premises. They do offer boards cheese and charcuterie. So if you are a party of four and prefer to buy a bottle versus buying by the glass (more expensive) then you may not be too happy. They may be going for a more "exclusive" type of feel but it def was a deciding factor on joining. I'd come back to have a glass but I'll prepare and eat for sure.

Shannon W.

Yelp
We drove a solid hour to get here from Portland but it was worth a second. They give you 4 tastings for $20, so went with that. I was a fan of every pour. Luckily we came on the most beautiful day in July and were able to sit outside on their deck and stare out into the vineyard. At first they were a little slow with the tastings, we had to ask about 5 times for them to come out and pour our first tasting. After that, things were smooth sailing. We finished our tasting about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close (believe 5:30) and asked if we could each have another glass of wine. At first they said no, only one glass for the two of you, but we really pressured them and they finally obliged. They let us stay until 6pm too which was really nice. My buddy is a total wine snob and has been in the food and wine industry for over 15 years now, so he chewed their ear off about wine trends, vineyards he's frequented, and restaurants he's a fan of. Well I guess it paid of because they offered us a great discount on bottles of wine and definitely discounted our check. I just wish we were there longer!

Mike C.

Yelp
What a disappointment. Three one ounce pours for $25 and no credit for wine purchase. Had to beg for a RE-visit on the Chardonnay and it was a half ounce pour. Server had no clue about the wines, asked where we had been earlier in the day, told her Colene Clemens, she replied "is that a golf course"? We will not return. Too many other great wineries who take much better care of their clients.

Diana B.

Yelp
The setting was spectacular and the service was perfection. Our charcuterie tray was a lovely presentation and they even asked if I had any food allergies, so the gluten free crackers were tasty. I loved every thing but the wine. With each new wine delivered I was hoping I liked it better than the last. We let it sit for a while to open up, but it did not to my taste. Everything was so perfectly done we may have to try it again as it was so beautiful!

Eh. Had to come down a couple stars on 2nd visit in 2021. First off, we had to wait over 5 minutes to be seated even though we had an appt; took about 3 just to be greeted. It was only a Wednesday, was not overbooked and about 5 visible employees onsite. Our pourer was nice, but seemed flustered and rushed. Didn't get much education on the wines, winery, history or anything, for that matter. She also seemed relieved when we asked to settle up as soon as the 4 wines were poured. Long waits in between, also. Also disappointed to see that the prices had gone up, considerably. Since you can't purchase a bottle to share on the premises, you're relegated to only purchasing wine by the glass which was $20! So, $20 a glass when the bottle is only $45? Am I getting the glass, too? Not hardly. The facilities and views are still intact, so I'm assuming that's the markup. Couldn't wait to revisit Ponzi after coming back to the area. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment :(

Yelp
As I'm drinking a great Tacoma Pinot noir from ponzi right now. I completely forgot to write them a yelp review! I dream of revisiting this vineyard someday! It's modern it's beautiful and breathtaking. The Pinot noir is full bodied and taste like it was made from the heavens. Speaking of the heavens it's worth the drive up the mountain to visit this beautiful place.

Yelp
The location is stunning and that is why I gave it a star. The place is ostentatious and even though there is a plethora of outdoor seating they would not allow my service dog. When I told him my dog was a service dog, and offered his service card (that I didn't have to) he just grimaced slightly. The wines were meh. We have so many good vineyards in the area that I just can't see myself returning. I enjoy good wine, and they were good but just run of the mill.

Yelp
Spectacular location and wine, just beautiful to be there. Only down side were a couple of instances of nickel-and-diming. Don't charge people for the bocce ball set. It's tacky. But the wine and architecture are top notch.

Yelp
Beautiful winery and tasting room. Staff are very professional, respect your privacy, and attentive when asked for/needed. I had come before covid and during, both experiences are pleasant. Make sure to make a reservation if you're visiting with covid restrictions still in place. I believe right now they're having their 50th anniversary so they're doing a discount off bottles. I've tried both red and white tasting flights and would prefer red by far. (In terms of generic white vs red preference, I enjoy both equally). Their non alcoholic grape juice is delicious so don't miss out on that either!

Yelp
Ponzi Vineyards has a stunning view, they are a more pricey compared to other wineries near by, but you definitely pay for the view and service. This would make an amazing wedding venue.

Yelp
Beautiful view. Server was great. I was told that they had a full food menu but there was not. Pretty pricy board for not much. Wine was great but service was so slow. Server was fantastic, it was just the least experience from the 4 winery we visited today.

Yelp
Ponzi has become an outright scam. $40 willamette board? Small plate with Costco cheese and fruits. Pitiful. Offensive. $50 chef's pairing? Three small pours of overly-oaked Chardonnay and a tiny, cold brioche with a few thin scraps of chanterelles. $35 tasting? Four mediocre pours from someone who was clueless about wine and oblivious to normal service conventions. Easily the worst wine experience in Oregon. Go literally anywhere else.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and view. Staff was very friendly, however, the price for a tasting and the $40 we paid for a cheese board was ridiculous. A handful of dried fruit, 2 small portions of cheese and about 4 slices of salami... way over priced. Your time is much better spent at the 100's of other wineries that have much more to offer.
