Pop Pie and Stella Jean’s Expanding to Pacific Beach and Further North | Eater San Diego

"I'm being told Pop Pie Co. is expanding to Pacific Beach, taking a 1,100-square-foot space on Garnet Avenue (previously Bird Rock Coffee Roasters) and will share the storefront with Stella Jean’s Ice Cream. The pie shop specializes in hand pies as well as whole pies, coffee, and cookies, and currently operates side-by-side with Stella Jean’s in University Heights and Costa Mesa; the Pacific Beach location will mirror the shared setup they opened in Point Loma. Co-founder Steven Torres says the beach outpost should open by the end of February, and the shop is part of the founders' Sweet and Savory Collective, which has secured a Mission Valley headquarters as it prepares further expansion including a Pop Pie planned for South Park on 30th Street and additional sites in North County and Orange County." - Candice Woo

We stopped by Pacific Beach and wanted to grab a drink and had a little dessert. There’s a pop pie co there and luckily there’s a parking spot right outside their door. We ordered a cup of chai tea and a nice americano, plus a key lime pie. To be honestly, I didn’t like it that much like before. I remember I really enjoyed their pies during pandemic and always ordered some delivery. But this key lime pie, I will say it’s just a regular pie, I think the one we had at The Duke’s is much more delicious. The drinks are also regular ones, nothing special to me.

Really unique and fun. Staff was cool as it comes. Try the Ube ice cream. You wont be disappointed. Coffee was spectacular! Will be back!

Vegan options for ice cream and one pie. Friendly staff, a plug for this tourist’s dying phone battery, hip area of town, and a brightly lit space. The smells of herbs were delightful. Food was delicious!Clean restroom. Highly recommend!

My friend and I stopped in to have a piece of pie. We both choose the pumpkin pie. The filling was amazing, just the right amount of spices and the cream cheese on top was delicious. The crust was hard to cut. If you can improve the crust and make it more flaky you will have the perfect pie.

Classic Chicken Pot Pie was awesome! Super cute location with limited indoor and some outdoor seating options. Friendly service and good food!

I've been a regular for a couple years, and have enjoyed the food and service every time! I'm really fond of the Green Hog and Cheese and Aussie Meat Pies, which you can eat there or buy frozen to bake at home. Their cortado, matcha horchata, and hojicha latte drinks are also delicious!
