Pop Pot - Review - Duluth - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Whether you get it as part of a pre-set pot combo or as an appetizer, the light and crispy popcorn chicken is an essential order at Pop Pot, which sits in Duluth’s GW Marketplace plaza. We get it as an appetizer, so we can get the delicious Sukiyaki bowl, which has thin slices of tender beef, chewy udon noodles, and an egg yolk simmering in a slightly sweet and umami rich broth. The Taiwanese-style hot pot restaurant brings you ramekins of savory shacha sauces to punch things up further. And individual-sized bowls mean your tablemates can order something entirely different—and if that’s a big plate of popcorn chicken, sharing should be mandatory." - Candy Hom

It’s just a pot full of cabbage. The meats were cheap, and even the good part of the pork was sliced super thin, but there wasn’t much of it. The main difference is the soup base. It could be very spicy! 🌶️ The service was really bad. I’m not sure if it’s Taiwanese culture or just that person. They assigned seats by pointing to us and the table. We had a long wait for a table and a long wait for our order. They also gave us tap water and plastic utensils for the hot pot, which weren’t great.

Google
Pop Pot is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! Their spicy beef Taiwanese soup is amazing — it’s my go-to every time, and I’ve probably had it over ten times now. The flavor is rich, spicy, and super satisfying, with tender beef and fresh ingredients in every bowl. The portions are generous, the service is always friendly, and the place has a nice, cozy vibe. If you love Taiwanese soups or just want something hearty and full of flavor, you’ve got to try Pop Pot!

Are you looking for an authentic Taiwanese hotpot experience ? As the weather gets colder, the hot noodle soup cravings increase. There is nothing as comforting as sitting by your own personal hotpot with a real flame, not an induction burner like most places. Both the mild and spicy house sauces are soooo delicious. In reel: 1 沙茶牛肉锅 Beef Satay Hotpot - My favorite classic satay flavor with tender beef slices and tons of veggies. 2 台式羊肉锅 Lamb Hotpot - Was not a fan of this pot and will order a different option next time. The lamb meat was tough and was on the spine. Was looking for more tender meat. 3 鹽酥雞 Taiwanese style chicken nuggets - So crispy and delightful. I love that the meat is sliced into small strips for a crispy texture, with not too much breading. 4 香腸 Sliced Taiwanese Sausages - Perfectly heated and sliced sausages, served with thinly sliced raw gatlic. Eat a bite with garlic and you will be pleasantly surprised how delicious the pairing is.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pop Pot recently and it was a delightful experience! I ordered the sukiyaki pot and the Taiwanese spicy pot. The flavors were absolutely delicious, and the soup was amazing. The level of spiciness was just right, making it enjoyable for everyone. I can’t wait to go back and explore more dishes on their menu. What’s even better is that the price was very reasonable at $19 for both dishes, considering the generous portion sizes. Pop Pot is definitely a place I’d recommend for a tasty and affordable hot pot experience!

Google
Food was good but the service… I think one star is not even worth it. I had to ask if the store was closed because no one welcomed. Set on the table, got my food and there goes the problem. Who knows what and why? people start yelling inside the kitchen and I don’t know if I would ever get this experience anywhere…unbelievable. If the food didn’t arrive on my table, I would have definitely left the restaurant. Horrible atmosphere. Also there were only two tables at the moment and server was on the phone the whole time UNTIL I had to call him out for a check… thank you.

Cool place in a busy shopping center. Portion size was great and service was impeccable. Definitely coming back again.

Google
This Taiwanese hot pot is so good! Sometimes we'll crave something that's a little different from the other hot pot restaurants close by and when we do, Pop Pot is our go to. We always get the korean army hot pot and it's delicious. Normally I am all about the dipping sauce for hot pot, which they do have, but their soup is already flavorful.

Google
I have been to this location so many times when I come to Atlanta. Such a comfort food. Good quality broth and food in the soup. I got the popcorn chicken pot with glass noodles, added fish tofu. My boyfriend got Japanese miso pot. Delicious! This restaurant is so great and the service is fast and professional, clean restaurant.

Yelp
Taiwanese style hot pot where you order the kind of soup and they bring it out individualized in metal thick bowls over kerosine like stoves. this is not a communal thing so if you're interested in more communal and less waste, then I don't recommend this since it's hard to share. They don't bring out plates of raw things for you to cook- it's cooked for you ahead of time kind of like the malatang concept except you're not weighing out ingredients. The portion was quite large and this makes a good experience for those who don't want to deal with the embedded hot pots into the table. This makes for a light and healthy meal compared to the heavier hits that can be found on this.strip of restaurants/food We ordered: #1. House Special Pot - sliced pork, napa, fermented tofu, tomato, pork intestine, clams, mustard stems, scallion, cilantro The Pumpkin pot- wished it had more pumpkin as it acts like taro to absorb all the delicious flavor at the end. Flavor: The flavors I remembered being quite mild and not overwhelmingly salty.I think what stops it from the 5 stars was way too much cabbage in the original flavor that we ordered. There is no sauce bar- the waiter mixes the sauce for you if you want it Appetizers- There are traditional Taiwanese snacks like stinky tofu and sausage. We ordered the Taiwanese tofu and the popcorn chicken Would I come back? depends. If you are bringing friends with distinct separate palates, you want to come here. if you're bringing family to eat out of one big thing, the communal experience would have been more fun.

Yelp
Pop pot was chosen on a whim and there's no regrets on it. I ordered the Taiwanese spicy with noodles. Food was delicious and plentiful I had to take some home. The sauces also complemented the pot. My only gripe is you don't have control over the fire. Other places give you the tool to put it out or partially cover it but here you have to call someone to do so. It seems like extra work for them but I had to call them over because my broth was boiling over. It's unfortunate because I like to keep my flame going as long as possible because I like my food hot throughout my meal. Small detail but makes a difference.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Perfect for a chilly day, the pots come with a good amount and variety of food (fried tofu, quail eggs, enoki, etc). Plenty of parking and located in a square with lots of food/dessert options! 5/5 food - loved the lamb pot, my friends got the seafood and original pot 5/5 service - quick service and very nice waiter!! 5/5 vibes - not too busy on the weekdays

Yelp
When we walked in, the smell of the food was amazing, I knew instantly when I walked in, that I would love the food, the service was great, they sat us down as soon as we got there. I ordered the fried dumplings and they tasted amazing, some of the best I've ever had, and I've had many. I also got hot pot and it was full of flavor and the soup base was extraordinary.

Yelp
This is a solid place for hot soup. It's great if you're craving hot pot but don't want the full all you can eat version. First off, your eyes are bigger than you stomach, these pots are pretty big! I think the perfect ratio is like 3 people and 2 pots, so 1.5 humans per pot. Pop pot offers a variety of different soups with toppings, so I feel like there is something for everyone which is great! In the actual soup itself they do a good job of giving you a bunch of different toppings from meat to veggies and the rice/noodles. The pot is extremely hot, I usually ask them to put out the fire pretty early since I don't like burnt soup either lol. I am a fan of the beef satay, Taiwanese spicy pot, and the Korean army. All are delicious and good. And honestly that dipping sauce is kinda fire. Their service can really be a bit slow and inattentive so just watch out for that

Yelp
It is a nice little walk in, in the teso Plaza and I can say with certainty the taste of Taiwan is definitely reflected in the hot pot. The atmosphere is oddly quiet but in a nice way, everyone seems focused on their hot pot and there isn't really loud bustling chatter. The service can definitely feel a little cold at first but perhaps it is because there are a lot of orders and only 2 servers when I went. But of course on to the food. I got the data beef and the Taiwanese spicy hotpot and they were absolutely amazing. The satay beef tasted authentic, bringing be back to my home kitchen where the flavor is almost exactly the same as my mother's home cooking. The ingredients such as the fish cakes and the blood rice cake are essential to any Taiwanese hot pot. One thing I do have to say is thay the add-ons seem a bit excessive in price. The amount of add on received seems a bit small and harsh. 3$ for 2 blood rice cakes that are about an inch long and 3/4 of a centimeter on both sides is interesting. However I have nothing to complain about the flavor as it is simply savory, intricate, and aromatic.

Yelp
We love this Taiwanese hot pot in Duluth! We got the seafood hotpot medium spicy and sukiyaki hot pot mild. The service is quick and attentive. The ambiance is comfortable and great for catching up with people.

Yelp
A very solid hot pot place! Everything I've tried has been flavorful and packed with the ingredients. I love spicy food, and their spicy is actually p spicy. Individual servings (not AYCE or shard with the table), and I get so full from a little over half; I can usually take my leftovers for another meal! So the price ($15-19) is worth it for me, imo. There's usually a few parties/tables whenever I come, and the service has been good. If the soup is too boiling hot for you, you can ask them to extinguish the flame.
google avatar

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Yummy! I prefer this style over the communal hot pot/AYCE restaurants because the soups have more flavor and options and you don't have to keep reaching and fishing for specific items. Also, decent price ($15-19) that is really filling. I got the sour napa pot medium spicy, and got to also try the satay beef. They all come with a choice of rice or glass noodles, and a savory/sweet/spicy sauce. My sour napa comes with pork and was soo delicious - the sour soup flavor is quite strong and I couldn't stop drinking the soup. Also I think the amount of cabbage really filled me up. The satay beef was also good and had a lot of beef, but I think the soup could have used more satay flavor. Each pot has a slightly different set of additional ingredients (meat balls, pig blood cake, intestines, etc) but they are all pretty generous and complete the hotpot experience.

Yelp
Good quantity of food for the price! Feels more worth compared to the all you can eat hotpots nearby if you have a small appetite. The various hotpot flavors are also interesting and would love to try more in the future. The 100% spicy isnt that spicy so if you are good with spice go for 150
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
The customer service is great - they seat you as soon as you walk in. They seem attentive where they make sure to take your oder as soon as you ready, remember to come back when you need more time. The hot pot's each come with a warmer and they make sure you are okay with the heat or turn off the fire when you are ready, they also fill your hot pot with soup if you want more. I got the satay beef pot and I would definitely give it a 5/5. The restaurant gave plenty beef and did not skimp out on the amount unlike some other restaurants. You can tell the quality of the beef was good. There were other ingredients like fish cakes, vegetables, tofu which gave a good variety and all tasted fresh. I got the mild spice but I would go for no spice as I feel like the broth in general already has some spice. I felt that the mild spice was a little too spicy for me at first. Over time though, the spice went away and I did not notice it anymore! I previously got the mushroom pot before - i would say it is definitely yummy but not very filling. So I would give it a 4.6/5!

Yelp
After years of dining here and ordering to go, This is still my favorite non-AYCe hot pot place. The pot is just so flavorful and full of toppings. The service is great. But the dipping sauce is the reason I keep coming back.

Yelp
My favorite taiwanese hot pot joint. I love their taiwanese spicy pot is the best option, following by the korean army pot, then satay beef pot, then sukiyaki. The dipping sauce they have is what make the hot pot so good! Mix between the non-spicy and the spicy sauce. At 70% spiciness, it is normally perfect for me. I also tried the taiwanese sausage and fried chicken. The sausage is very juicy. The chicken is very crispy. The service is great and the food comes out fast.

Yelp
Three stars because of service. Pop Pot closes at 10 PM on Saturdays. My friends and I arrived at 9. I'd understand their dismay if we came in 30 minutes to closing, but there was still a full hour. They also didn't answer the phone when I called twice about their hours. (Restaurant had three occupied tables so not like they were too busy to answer). Our arrivals were staggered, but the first friend who got there was immediately asked if he was ready to order as he sat down. As each person arrived, the same was asked right when we sat. It was clear they were trying to rush us to get out of the restaurant as soon as possible. Gave us one menu for a table of 5 and expected us to know what we wanted without giving us any time to review our choices. They'd groan or show resentment when we asked for napkins, water refills, and sauce refills. The four stars are for the food. I got the mild version of the Thai style. The broth was very flavorful, and the soup was very filling. This is not AYCE, so the protein, veggies, and starch already come cooking in the bowl. There is also no sauce bar, but they provide a dipping sauce that is very delicious. I'd come back for the food, but it'll be a while before I return.

Yelp
I got the Taiwanese Beef Pop Pot and wow, so much food! You better come hungry or there's no way you'll be able to finish. I thought my Hot Pot was delicious! I got 100% spicy and it was perfect! They did not skimp on the toppings, there was plenty of everything. This hot pot already comes with ramen noodles, but you also get glass noodles or rice on the side, which is awesome! The broth was super tasty and everything just tasted so good! The service was great also. I'm really glad I got to try this place, it was delicious and I have no complaints!

Yelp
We went when it was almost closing time so the vibes were very peaceful (bad on our part ), but the employees were still very friendly as well as careful/considerate!! Went with family and we asked for two sate beefs pots but one with everything except for cilantro) and one with no cilantro and fish balls due to allergies. The employees noticed our request to remove the fish balls, and notified us that the sate might contain seafood, and asked if we wanted to switch to a Taiwanese spicy broth in order to accommodate our allergies! The pots were the perfect size for us individually, and the hot pot was super good overall! We also got the popcorn chicken which was very crispy :D I'd highly recommend this place! :)
google avatar

Frances D.

Yelp
Food was very good and well-priced! Every pot also comes with choice of white rice or glass noodles, making it quite filling. The meat seemed fresh and high quality and the soup was also very good. Service was a bit slow since one person was serving all the tables, but he was still polite and did his best. Ambiance was comfortable.

Yelp
Pop Pot is one of the staple hotpot places in the metro-Atlanta area, and for good reason. I used to come here before Covid, but this is my first time coming since 2020 and the quality does not disappoint. The interior was empty except for 1 other party despite it being 7 PM on a Saturday night. We got seated and served extremely quick and service throughout was exceptional. My girlfriend and I got the Taiwanese spicy and sukiyaki hotpot per the recommendation of the waitress. The sukiyaki has a sweeter brother while the Taiwanese has more of a tang with some sweetness. Each of the hotpot meals come with the option of white rice or glass noodle on top of what is already included in the hotpot. Overall, pop pot is still one of the staple hotpot places in Atlanta and barely scrapes a 5* review. The only deterrent is that the prices keep increasing, and the amount of ingredients in each dish not named "Cabbage" is decreasing.

Yelp
I came to Pop Pot with my sister one early afternoon with my sister, she had previously went and highly recommended it. It was nice and slow, we were sat almost immediately and shortly after we had our drinks. I have never had Hot Pot before so this was a first experience, we got the seafood hot pot, the dumplings, and a side of rice. The dumplings and rice were both so delicious. As for the main dish, it was pretty good! I give the main dish a 4/5 since the food blending together pretty well. The service was decent and our server was pretty quick to attend us. The environment was nice and cozy.

Yelp
Interior is great and the staff was very friendly. I got the sukiyaki hotpot (~$14) with rice and tempura appetizer. Tempura appetizer 2/5 I thought it would be deep fried tempura items but it looked and tasted like regular pan fried fish cakes. Sukiyaki hotpot 3/5 Good amount of meat and vegetables. It's not my favorite combo, but I'd like to come back and try other hotpot dishes they have!

Yelp
A T M O S P H E R E Clean. Spaced. Open concept. Well kept. E X P E R I E N C E We came as a group of 6 on a sat night around 530. There were only two other couples. F O O D Satay Chicken Seafood House special Sukiyaki x2 All the hotpot bowls were filling for every adult. Lots of different types of flavors and items. Taiwanese sausage x2 Popcorn chicken Dumpling Food were all okay. Can't compare to Taiwan. Hits the spot if you're missing Taiwanese food but nothing to write home about. Yelp
Hotpot restaurant that's been around the Duluth Sweethut plaza for a bit now. It's not AYCE, but rather personal customized pots you order. Most dishes are around $14-$18/person. Purely food based review: Satay Beef Pot - You get a lot of meat in this pot. I recommend getting rice as your side and getting it a little spicy. Good amount of food for sure, will fill you up. Fried tempura - For $6 I'm pretty disappointed. It's really just fried fishcake. I guess it's on us for not asking what type of tempura, but I wish we'd gotten another appetizer instead.

Yelp
Very delicious! We came in somewhat late so the waitress looked tire and we felt a bit rushed in the end but I get it. Definitely a place to check out. Taiwanese hot pot located in a shopping center surrounded by a lot of other restaurants but it's not hard to find. The place has ample sitting with wooden booths. The menu also has great and various options with pretty dishes and tasty flavors. The food comes in a little pot where they light the pot from underneath and the food continues to cook and stay hot, definitely nice to see.

Yelp
Good environment, ok services, but the food is very mid. The pot is way too high on the table and it's hard to find food in there with that height. The portion is small compared to its price. Probably not coming back since I need more food per meal.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is great. We ordered 3 differrent flavors of pot. One is spicy- one is with spicy broth and different meats and vege and i ordered the something that tasted similar to Japanese udon flavor-sukaki? Pot. It was good overall the service was good too! It was $18 for our menus and the glass noodle was yummy as well! I recommend this place!

Yelp
Loved it! The food was great and very filling. We got seated right away. The worker was very nice. I got up to try to get my friend a fork to which the worker was very quick to assist me and nicely request for me to sit down while she got it for us. Recommend the Taiwanese Spicy Pot , spicy level 100%

Yelp

Yelp
I came here for lunch today for the first time and we ordered Sukiyaki pot and curry fish ball hot pot. Both were delicious and the soup base were flavorful. Their dipping sauce was good. The individual hotpot looks presentable as well. The waiter would light up the pot and later ask if you want the fire off. He came at perfect timing when the soup is boiling at its peak. My friend and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was craving Taiwanese hot pot so I decided to stop in and try Pop pot. I gave them 3 stars due to the following: 1. Location: My sister lives in Duluth so it was convenient while visiting her. It's in the same shopping center as Sweet Hut, so the parking lot was plentiful. 2. Service: the staff were all nice and patient while I changed my spice level 5 times. 3. Hot pot: I ordered the Taiwanese Spicy hot pot with 100% spice level. The broth was okay. If I compared this place to Twiwanese spicy hot pot at Hi-Pot in Doraville, I would choose Hi-Pot. It's a personal preference, but Pop Pot doesn't have enough veggies in the hot pot. The fire that they use is also really high which overcooks the food unless you tell them to come and shut it down. I didn't tell them to come quick enough so all my cabbage were super soft and mushy. I also used the side sauce at this place while I didn't need to at Hi-Pot because I think Hi-Pot is more flavorful. 4. Price: the hot pot itself ranges from $15-$20, but the lack of veggies made me order an extra $3 side of enoki mushroom. Overall, it's okay.. not the greatest to me. Try it and let me know how you like it.

Yelp
Enjoyed eating here. Personal hot pot was a decently sized option. I had the Szechuan spicy hot pot which came with a variety of meat and veggies.

Yelp
Pop Pot is well, of course, a hot pot spot. [Wasn't that sentence a mouthful?!] They have individualized pots so add whatever crap you want without having to worry about other's contentment. Price wise, this place was okay: It starts at $12 and goes to $16. As for the sauces, you only get 3 choices (bean, chili, or soy sauce). This place is more for those who'd rather pick set menu options than be daunted by the number of choices with the mixing and matching of different ingredients. I've never been here before, and so, I choose one of the options in the front with less stuff. The curry fish ball pot was pretty good with the glass noodles. With a mild 30% spicy level, this pot was doable. Perhaps a medium 70% will make it tastier. There were plenty of fish ball and fish cake varieties to satisfy my hungry stomach. The sliced pork and napa cabbage added to the pot's diversity. Overall, I dug it. At the end, I felt pretty content. I wasn't at all by any means stuffed, just pretty content. I guess for those with a larger appetite, don't come here thinking you'd be stuffing your face out. That small pot ain't gonna do it. ;) There's plenty of parking as Pop Pot is in the complex with Sweet Hut. Around 6 PM on a Friday, there was a moderate number of people coming and going, but it wasn't busy to where you can't find a seat.

Ethan N.

Yelp
Overall Rating: 9.5/10 | Food: The $19 Seafood Pot is plenty for a single person and good enough for two to share with an appetizer to be full. Food Quality: 2/2 Portion Size: 2/2 | Service: Friendly servers, but need to ask for additional napkins if more than one per person is needed. Service Quality: 2.5/3 Appreciation Bonus: 1/1 | Ambiance: At night, mostly calm for an enjoyable meal. Cleanliness: 1.5/2 Atmosphere: .5/1

Yelp
Been craving a Taiwanese hot pot place since Boiling Point in LA and Pop Pot delivered!!! My friend recommend this place as he comes once a week and it's amazinggg. I left with my stomach feeling super full and satisfied. According to our waitress, the Taiwanese Spicy Pot, Korean Army Stew Pot, and Satay Beef Pot are the most popular choices. Each pot comes with specific items and you can also pay $2-4 more for extra add-on's. You can also adjust the spicy level of the broth! In addition to the pot, you can also choose from either white rice or glass noodles to eat. I ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Pot with rice and asked for 30% mild spicy level. The pot is already spicy as is but since I'm a fan of spicy, I wanted an extra kick and it was great! But if you're not a fan of spicy, I recommend the Sukiyaki Pot! My boyfriend ordered that and enjoyed it as it is sweet in taste. He asked for 70% medium spicy but the soup was still sweet. The waitress also gave us sauces on the side to dip the food in. One was spicy and the other wasn't. I loved dipping the ramen noodles in the sauce and eating it together with cabbage and the meat. Great quality and service, will come back again and try more!

Yelp
This was my first time trying Pop Pot, although I frequent this plaza and go at least once a week. I am an absolute fan of Shabu Shabu and I loved Huo Guo, so I was excited to try Chinese Hot Pop. We were seated and I ordered the Satay Beef Pot, which came with broth, vegetables, fish balls, slices of beef, a quail egg and more. I opted for the glass noodles and I also got an extra egg for my broth. We also ordered the fried popcorn chicken & dumplings as appetizers. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Both the popcorn chicken and dumplings were good - I mean the dumplings were just basically Bibigo dumplings, but it was still pretty good! The hot pot was also very good. I got medium spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice for me. I really enjoyed the dipping sauce as well. I also loved the way that the pot comes out and how it boils in the pot (with the fire eventually going out too). The glass noodles were also a good side as well. I wish I ordered instant noodles on the side, because ramen would be the perfect end to a hot pot meal. I am only taking one star off as the service was pretty mediocre, but overall I really enjoyed this place and I look forward to returning for some different hot pots!

Yelp
Pop Pot is in a very convenient location near the Great Wall/Zen Market/Microcenter. This area sees a lot of traffic, but also has an abundance of parking. The staff are very professional and well mannered. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and it is well decorated. The food is exceptional and delicious, everything is well seasoned and there is an abundance of options available. Definitely recommend giving this place a visit!

We were craving hotpot today, and decided to try Pop Pot. No regrets at all! The Sukiyaki Pot and the Japanese Miso Pot had various ingredients, and the broths were seasoned well. We asked for the spicy level to be 100 percent and even then, we thought the hotpot lacked heat. So if you like your food spicy, I recommend asking for the level to be 150 percent. We also ordered the Fried Tempura, which was pretty average.

Yelp
What percentage of spicy are you? I'm 150%%% Haha. The spice level here would do so much better if instead of just chili oil they would add Thai peppers and jalapeños. We had to call on our server a lot for water refills and more napkins but maybe we are just needy people They lady told us that one time someone ordered a spice level of 300-400 and I just shook my head, mine only being 150 it was just drowned in chili flakes and lacked the kick. Add some sriracha! The food itself tastes just fine though. The pig intestines I added probably needed to stay in the broth more to cook

Yelp
What to get for dinner on a cold Friday night? Hot pot! We don't get hot pot very often, and i am glad I decided to give this one a try. When we got there it was moderately busy. Workers wear masks, they provide hand sanitizers and They were sitting guests every other table to keep social distancing. They have quite a large selection for hot pots and my husband decided to order the Thai style and I ordered the sukiyaki. They come out as personal hot pots, and all ingredients are already inside and the server lights up the hot pot for you to keep it hot while you eat it. Both hot pots were good. The Thai one was very pleasant and tangy. It tastes slightly different than the ones I am used to but it is good. The sukiyaki was good as well if you like sweet broth. They workers were nice and attentive.

Yelp
Back to this wonderful soup place! This time, we are trying the house special. Soup is so good on a rainy Sunday morning in Georgia.

Yelp
I like how they can offer many different types of hotpot. The portion is full! And the broth is really flavorful.

Yelp
The staff + the experience = 5 stars! The staff was courteous, helpful, and patient from beginning to end. The restaurant is spacious. Great for groups! The food = 3 stars. The food was just okay to me. There's so many hot pot competition especially along Pleasanthill Road, and Pop Pot fell short on flavor. We ordered the following: Japanese Miso Pot $16 Pumpkin Pot $12 I ordered the Japanese Miso which came with sliced pork, napa, soft tofu, calamari, mussels, clam, fried tofu skin, swai fillet, egg, shrimp, scallop, fish tofu, scallion, and cilantro. With all those ingredients in one pot, I was super excited to dig in. The ingredients looked fresh, too. However, there was something missing. The hubs ordered the pumpkin pot which came with sliced pork, pumpkin, napa, fried tofu skin, soft tofu, scallion, and cilantro. He seemed to enjoy it. I tried a spoonful of his broth and his broth had more flavor than mine. Again, there's a lot of hot pot establishments in the area, so Pop Pot probably wouldn't be my first choice. However, I would be willing to try a different pot and this stinky tofu everybody's talking about if I ever find myself at Pop Pot again.
