"Unbelievably, there are in fact a very small number Popeye’s chicken sandwiches left in New York. An employee at the location at 75 Lexington Ave., at East 26th Street, confirms that it’s still selling the product that people have been resorting to violence in order to buy. After social media hoopla around the fried chicken chain’s new sandwich, the official Popeyes Twitter announced last week that it had sold out everywhere across the country. But employee Rebeka Roni at Lex and 26th tells Eater that she thinks they’ll probably still have them for one or two hours, until around 3 p.m. at best. “After that, I can’t promise,” she says, adding that she’s trying “my best.” How did they manage to keep some in stock at all? The restaurant put a sign up saying that it’s out of the sandwiches for now at corporate’s behest, so most people stopped asking for it, Roni says. But some diners know about the secret stash, and if someone does order it, staff is checking on the supply before agreeing. Regardless, once this round is out, it’s out until the company resends supply to restaurants. “I don’t have that much,” she says, only about 10. “After that, bye bye.”" - Serena Dai

First of all, much much better than KFC. I love their chicken sandwiches and tried the classic, spicy, and now the limited time pickle glaze. They seem to be keeping their chicken fresh because I’ve never gotten dry chicken. One thing I do wish they can improve is that they should be more generous with the sauce. Most of the times the chicken sandwiches have barely any sauce. Like the pickle glaze chicken sandwich I got today almost had none of that pickle glaze taste. I had to take mayo from my fridge and add it on so there’s enough sauce. I usually order through DoorDash so there’s not even options for extra sauce or pickles. And no where to put special request.

This place is disgusting!! It shows that management doesn’t care about the way their store is presented. Drive thru and parking lot not plowed, employees not wearing hairnets, the foul language by the employees was stunning enough.

Google
Wonderful and tasty chicken. Well cook and with a juicy and moisture meat 🍖 😋. Service is wonderful and friendly 😊.

Stopped in for lunch today 5/3. I believe the manager took our order, he was friendly. I ordered the 2 piece combo, he informed me that he had a 2 piece special that was cheaper with 2 sides, biscuit and a drink, I appreciated that. My fiance ordered a chicken and shrimp combo. We also ordered 2 strawberry biscuits. My fiance put his drink on a table and came back to wait for food, when we got back to the table his drink was gone, (no idea) but the manager quickly replaced it with a smile. Our food was hot and fresh, 0 complaints on anything. We did not get our 2 strawberry biscuits and totally forgot ourselves until we got home. We checked our receipt and we did pay for them, so disappointed on that but other than that and our disappearing drink, we had a fresh, hot and yummy lunch.

I used to love this store, everything was always hot and fresh, but this past year I have got the wrong items. I order classic boneless wings, coleslaw and strawberry Fanta pop.i got spicy udercook boneless wings,a spoon of coleslaw a an unsweetened ice tea.last time everything was wrong too, such a disappointment from one of the top Popeyes. They need to do better

Google
I order food here and pick up uber eats orders daily from this Popeyes. When I tell you the female manager and male managers always have attitudes as if they hate there job or even life is a complete turn off to me being a customer and a uber eats worker. When they mess up food they refuse to fix it or give attitude and become arrogant/ argumentative. This turns off customers especially with the food being so good.

Google
This place is ridiculous. You order a box of chicken and they don't give you any sauce unless you specifically ask for it. I was just told at the window today that they're going to start charging for sauce, but it's not on the menu and they don't ask you if you'd like any when you're paying for it in the first place so how are you supposed to get sauce? Who wants to eat dry Fried Chicken without any sauce to dip it in? If they actually charge me for sauce that's the last time I'm ever going to this Popeyes, but they can't charge me for something that's literally not offered on the menu and the person working the register doesn't ask me if I want. Rude staff. Orders are often wrong or incomplete. Update, they now charge for sauce. Because 10 bucks for 3 bites of chicken wasn't already a price gouge. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Google
Literally no one is in line and I just stood there for 25 minutes waiting for service whole 15 employees are standing in the back scrapping crumbs looking at me. Never will I recommend this store to a single person

Nancie A.

Yelp
I usually love the sweet and spicy wings from Popeyes but this particular time, I honestly was disappointed. I didn't get the full order, the sauce want enough on the order and everything seemed so rushed with them. Like they were really just throwing everything into the bag so we can get outta the way. The chicken itself was good. Against not enough sauce and service was lacking. Hopefully it's better next time.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
My god is Popeyes an exercise in patience. Aside from the wait--- if you're ever driving by and ask yourself "wow I wonder why the drive thru is so long?" , it's because they don't even have a register at the drive thru, amongst 100 other things. After sitting for 10 minutes blockaded in I wondered if they were just closed. Finally, after I ordered to two different people , I received my $17 meal sans a drink because the employee had it on the machine but was away from the window and at that point, I think the sun even changed positions Fries were cold and stale, I got 3 sporkfuls of mediocre mac and cheese in my side. Absolutely the worst.

Kevin B.

Yelp
We stopped here to get our Louisiana Popeyes on. Food was good and crispy at this location. They made us fresh pieces after running out chicken, and it was nice of them to do that. Clean spot, and clean bathrooms. Nice people working here. I'd come back again.

Victoria Y.

Yelp
This is an update since my last review I have been here 3 more times, and it has been downhill ever since, 1st They have new staff that is rude and ghetto as hell second the chicken was subpar and not as fresh as when they first open, I still love popeyes but not this one anymore, if by chance I am in the area again I may try again but this time only if I am there when they open, maybe I can get fresher food, if so I will update this review, but no more special trips there,

Kingston G.

Yelp
The food is always good in my option. The ambiance is always packed and it's somewhat clean. The service is okay, there are workers that seem like they just don't want to be there.

Doris M.

Yelp
Ok. So, I got food from here when they first opened & none of us cared for it. Lately, I've been craving chicken & KFC is a waste of time & money. I thought I'd give Popeye's another shot. I ordered a 2 piece with mashed potatoes & mac & cheese and of course it came with a biscuit. The drive thru went pretty smoothly & I wasn't there TOO long. I told the girl I was picking up a mobile order , gave her my name & order #. She told me to go to the first window. I did & sat there for a bit. Then the girl turned around & opened the window. I asked her if I could have my receipt & she asked if I was the one with the mobile order & I said yes. I continued to sit there & after about 2 minutes, she turned around ,opened the window & I said "does that mean no ?" She just pointed to the 2nd window. WTF ?? So, I get to the 2nd window, the kid asks if I'm #74, I say yes & he hands me a wet, soggy, barely warm bag of food. I'm thinking , oh boy, here we go !! I get home, saw how SMALL the two sides were, and thought that that was ridiculous amount. They were just so tiny. A baby could eat them with no problem. The mac & cheese was very good though, so I definitely would've wanted a lot more than that. The mashed potatoes were OK. A few bumps in them, and the gravy was good, but a little spicy, which is fine for probably most people and it was still fine for me but I prefer just a regular gravy especially the gravy from KFC. They have the best mashed potatoes and gravy I have to say The biscuit was fine, I would hope, so. How hard can it be to make a biscuit? Then I get to the chicken I had one chicken breast which was white meat and then a leg which was dark meat and I don't like dark meat. The batter, though on the outside of the chicken was so flaky and crispy and yummy. That was the best part of the whole meal probably . I liked the way it was so crunchy and so light. All in all, the chicken was good , the mashed taters were OK. The mac & cheese was amazing. The biscuit was fine , so I will probably order from there again. I just hope I get a nicer employee at the first window or that I don't have to go there at all to the first window.

Richard G.

Yelp
Absolute disappointment.... Waited 20 minutes with nobody else in line for food, forgot my biscuits and they were just to busy talking in back to worry about customers.

Sterling S.

Yelp
By far the worst Popeyes in WNY if not everywhere. They constantly mess up the order and when asked to correct the attitude is disgusting and disrespectful seeing how you are a paying customer. If I'm paying extra for white meat only then that's what I should receive not a breast, thigh and leg. Also, they need to ensure they people at the windows are friendly and not rude, will never go here again, despite it being less than a mile from my home.

Icy C.

Yelp
The food was soggy, like the skin was wet, some of the chicken was soggy by how long it was sitting out, or maybe they added too much grease, I don't know, the line was long, but the chicken was ok, I guess, the employees were slow, they took so long to get other's food ready, the drive through was long as ever, but so far the oreo cheesecake cup was good, and the fries were good.

Diane H.

Yelp
The menu offers a wide variety, signature sides include biscuits, Cajun fries,Mac & cheese, red beans & rice or mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy.Theres a popcorn shrimp dinner, nuggets dinner, tenders dinner, chicken dinner and chicken or fish sandwiches .Desserts are a strawberry cheesecake, blueberry lemon cream cheese pie, and the cinnamon apple pie which I picked up and was delicious.

Denise H.

Yelp
Lots of choices to tackle on the menu like a fish sandwich, surf & turf combo, chicken sandwich, tenders, nuggets and the popcorn shrimp combo.Signuture sides include Cajun fries, biscuits,Mac & cheese ,red beans & rice and mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy.Desserts include blueberry lemon cream cheese pie, Strawberry cheesecake and the cinnamon apple pie that I tried and was very tasty.

Ivy Y.

Yelp
Came here last week around 1:30pm, parked and went inside and was told we could not be served at the counter and instead would have to go through the drive-through. Um, okay? Maybe lock the door or at least put a sign up saying DINING ROOM CLOSED. So we get back in the car and get in line behind maybe a dozen other vehicles. We sat there for 5 full minutes and the line didn't move at all. Not one inch. We left.

Darren S.

Yelp
Food is OK when they get the order correct which is just about never. Not only will they provide the wrong food but they will likely shortchange your order. Afterwards, they have no interest in making it right. Avoid this location.

Sheryl P.

Yelp
I went to the Popeyes on Elmwood, the drive thru for lunch, and I got a 3 piece meal, spicy crispy with mashed potatoes and it was great, the only downfall was they didn't give me utensils to eat the potatoes, so I had to improvise and use the lid as a scoop

Niema K.

Yelp
I took it back because my chicken wasn't done. Do you know they took my box and gave me another without even attempting to fix the issue and told me they can't cook it longer because everything is timed! There was no one there but me both times. no waiting no lineThis is bull. This is the second time that's happened. What is do hard about making some and leaving them in a little longer. All fast good restaurants use timers do what! I used to work in fast food I know how it goes I also know you can tweak the timer or Just don't put the timer on and the food will still cook. Now I have to go home and refry these chicken strips. That's ridiculous. I didn't plan on going home any time soon. I wanted something to eat that's why I stopped there. I'm out here working. I can't eat this chicken not thoroughly cooked. I didn't get a chance to get a picture if the first box because he asked for it back but when I broke the chicken in half it was red inside. This chicken is flimsy. Uhmmm no! Niema doesn't pay for and eat flimsy chicken. That was horrible customer service. The manager is ridiculous. He needs to learn how to satisfy the customer. Especially when he has smoke time because there were no other customers there! I also bought a chicken sandwich. My first time trying it. That looks like a completely different cut of chicken breast. Oh I'm not impressed either. I mean it's good it's just not life changing. I'll give them two stats because the shrimp was good. Oh I forgot to mention they had a sign out on the speaker that said they were currently closed and if you had a pick up order to call the customer and cancel it. I was pulling off after reading it and someone kept saying can I help you. I told them it was there and that I assumed they were closed and noone responded. The manager ran out and took it off then went back in.

Kate A.

Yelp
I hate admitting how often we get food from here, but I'm usually getting takeout to share with someone I love who happens to really love fried chicken. Every experience I've had with the staff here has always been positive. They are super friendly and patient, even when they have long lines. The app has been broken for a minute but the staff accommodates app deals at the window. I mean, not the healthiest food but if it's what you're looking for, we've always had a positive experience with the food quality and the service.

Bianca S.

Yelp
Hmm. How do I put this nicely. Popeye's itself isn't a bad restaurant. This location just isn't it. Staff are OK, but food isn't. I love been here numerous times and the last few have not been great. I ordered fingers once they weren't good and just completely breading. Then most recently I ordered the famous chicken sandwhich everyone was talking about. I got spicy and regular just to try both and I was not impressed. Not even a little. I threw them both out. The chicken was too soft, not crispy and I couldnt tell the difference between the spicy and the regular so not sure if they just accidentally gave me the same one. I think I'll pass next time

Susan N.

Yelp
This Popeye's is a typical chain restaurant so I don't expect much from it. However, fried chicken is one of my guilty pleasures while I marathon train. The area is pretty sketchy in my opinion, and there always seems to be a homeless person approaching me for money. I do like their spicy chicken sandwich but I don't think it was worth the hype. The chicken was small and not spicy at all. I do like their biscuits though. They're warm, crispy on the outside, and nice and buttery on the inside.

Steven M.

Yelp
Have people been to Popeyes? Have people actually tasted the chicken? As far as I'm concerned not giving Popeyes 5 stars should be punishable by law. I came to Popeyes on Saturday night after receiving some heartbreaking news and I needed an unhealthy pick me up in the form of fried chicken. I came here around 8:30PM and the place was completely packed. Unlike some other extremely rude people I don't think the world revolves around me so I had no issue waiting in line patiently to order my food. They have a pretty good deal for $20 where you get 10 pieces of fried chicken, 2 large side dishes (I went with the mashed potatoes and french fries), 2 drinks, and 6 of the rolls (DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT EAT ALL OF THIS ON MY OWN). The food took around 10-15 minutes to make which is definitely longer then usual but you can't blame a place for being busy on a Saturday night. I would also like to take the time to apologize to the manager who was working on behalf of people who don't suck. You should not have to deal with rude people yelling at you because it's taking to long for them to shove fried chicken into there mouths. You should not have to deal with people swearing at you because they are impatient. I give credit to the manager for keeping his cool and being friendly to everyone even when the ladies at the counter were being extremely rude and disrespectful. ONTO THE FOOD! The food was amazing, let's be real here. I don't care if you only eat $100 steaks, Popeyes makes some of the best comfort fried chicken you can have and I don't care that it's a chain. I love this place and will continue coming here when I find myself wallowing into a deep depression.

Tiara T.

Yelp
Beware especially if you order from this location through UBER EATS! This is the second time they claim they were out of stock for the sides and drinks I ordered and instead of contacting me for substitutes, I was charged anyway and only half the order arrived with a hand written note on my receipt that they were out of stock.

AD S.

Yelp
Corona virus alert Attention Attention Don't come to this store I don't understand why this store isn't running the delivery pickup from drive thru. They want all drivers to get in. Stay in order line Show the number and get back in pick up line again. They just make this store horrible. Hundreds of people waiting on line. Three line for order, three line for pick up. They aren't even busy The soda machine everyone is touching over and over again. They don't even wipe down counter tops and soda machine. Nasty I am requesting everyone to avoid this store And I will make complain about this store to NY Health Department to review the sanitization, and I will make complain to BBB. Also Nasty management They should know how to manage the store. Or just close the door.

Levi T.

Yelp
The worst Popeyes in buffalo... rude staff.. the online orders are never processed ... you literally order then show up a hour later and your food still isn't ready worst service hands down.

Les V.

Yelp
Everytime I've ordered from here, the food I receive has been wrong. But I keep going back because the food is so good. Sad I know. Last time I ordered $50 from Uber Eats delivery and none of the 10 sauces I ordered came. Who eats chicken dry? So I had to drive out to get them. Defeats the point of using food order delivery service... this week I ordered 16 tenders meal and it came as a 16 piece, with bones. Also the drive-through line is very long... I would say plan to wait a good 30 minutes at least...

Aron T.

Yelp
I stopped her yesterday and got the new Cajun fish sandwich it was pretty good. The fillet is self was fresh as was the roll. My only gripe as seen in the picture the sandwich was a little dry due to the thickness of the bread other than the long wait (which is usual with Popeyes new sandwiches) it was pretty good. 3/5 for the actual sandwich. Service was good!

Wendy D.

Yelp
This Popeyes is the absolute worst Popeyes I've ever been to. And that's saying a LOT cuz I lived in Atlanta where there's a Popeyes on every darn corner. This place is always pack, but it's not due to popularity... it's because they are SO insanely slow. I was the 4th car in the drive threw line tonight and i sat in line for over 45 minutes. That is unacceptable. Then, when I ordered they proceed to tell me they ate out of every desert and fries. ‍ this place is a complete disaster. I am literally never going here again. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Jurel H.

Yelp
Typical chain restaurant, here you get consistent tasting food. Chicken is always crispy and biscuits are very good. I would say if you get Tops supermarket fried chicken fresh, that theirs taste better than Popeyes. All the side items are good, unfortunately at my age. I can no longer eat the beans and rice. I spent a good majority of my night on the porcelain throne, and looking desperately in my cabinets for some Tumms. I like that this location is very clean. I have been to some locations so filthy, that I end up wondering how are still in business. Also left scratching my head, wondering how the customers can still order from a place that isn't well kept.

Tai H.

Yelp
Is it just me or did Popeyes change their recipe? The chicken did not taste the same, the coleslaw wasn't good and the biscuits were just dry... and the "butter" they tried to put on top just didn't taste like the usual. This was a bad batch overall. 2 stars for customer service. The cashier was really nice

Jillian R.

Yelp
I never had the opportunity to try Popeyes so when I was near this location today, I thought I'd give it a whirl so that I could continue adding to my one new place a week streak. I am only reviewing the food and the drive-thru experience, as I did not go into the actual restaurant. First, the drive-thru space is very small. When I pulled in there were 2 cars in front of me waiting to order, but the line behind me quickly started overflowing out into traffic. The service was also very slow. I was in the line about 5-7 minutes before I even reached the menu board. Once I did reach the speaker, I ordered the 2 piece chicken meal with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. There was a coupon in the app so I used that. Money and food were both served from the same window and the cashier was able to easily accept my mobile coupon. I took everything home to eat. When I got home, my food was still hot and it's quite a ways so that was a good sign. I have to say that the biscuits were fabulous... I wouldn't want to eat this type of food very often but these were great! H wasn't impressed with the mashed potatoes or the chicken. It was all OK, but again, I would probably onoly eat it if there really weren't any other options available. I didn't think it was all that, especially with the slow service.

M J.

Yelp
I received an order off DoorDash and the mac & cheese was just coated in oil, I called them to let them know that their mac & cheese is no good and it may be expired. The manager who answered the phone started telling me what do you want me to do about it. Now when you get complaints on your food quality your expected to check immediately. I won't be returning back

Taylor R.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure this place is staffed by sloths because every time I come here the drive-thru lane is 10+ cars long. I have driven past this location on multiple occasions and have seen the line almost into the street nearly every time. After waiting in line for about 20+ minutes, I finally get to the front to order. I used the Popeyes app for a coupon and expressed that I would be using a mobile coupon code before I placed my order. The person asked me what the coupon was for and put my order in, smooth sailing. Or so I thought. When I came to the window and showed her the coupon she claimed that I never told her that I was using a coupon... what? I was unsure if I talking to a completely different person or if she truly forgot that quickly. With a heavy sigh, she retook my order at the window and gave me my receipt. The customer service left much to be desired. The coupon in question was for a $6 tender combo with a drink. I showed her the coupon. Thus, you can imagine my suprise when she hands me back my card and my receipt total says $17 dollars! I drove to the next window and immediately brought this to their attention, and they fully refunded me for the error. I'm glad I looked at my receipt before I left because I would have had to wait in their extremely long line for another 20+ minutes. Luckily, my food tasted good and everything was cooked accordingly but I'm not quite sure it was worth the hassle. This place gets 2 stars for the chicken alone. Big yikes.

David C.

Yelp
It is a sad state of affairs, almost as bad as Katrina that this establishment represents Louisiana's food to the nation. I've had Popeye's before when traveling for work however this is a sorry state of affairs for this chain. Months ago was my first encounter with this location, after the craze of them newly opening but still within the excitement of them being new. It must not have been very good as I don't recall what I ordered. This is my second and last time back, I ordered a tender sandwich, plain not spicy with a side of cajun fries. The fries were bland, typical commercial seasoning which means MSG, sodium and some other garbage that make you feel bloated and disgusting when eating them. The tender sandwich was even worse, a sub roll falling apart, wilted and mayonnaise soaked lettuce and their signature breaded tenders. I will never be coming back to the establishment, I know they have many loyal fans and will continue to wonder how.

Destiny B.

Yelp
This restaurant always sends the wrong order although the receipt clearly states what the order should include. Today I ordered a fish sandwiches with a strawberry frozen lemonade via UberEats not only did I not receive a strawberry lemonade they gave me chicken sandwiches that I can not eat because I am PESCATARIAN. Please hire new workers that can read.

Anita S.

Yelp
Came here last night for the first time finally!! It was really good. I got the 3 piece chicken combo with mashed potatoes and an extra side of Mac and cheese. They were out of the famous chicken sandwich but I didn't mind too much I was happy to get the other combo instead. The drive thru line was very long. I was about 10 cars back and I was in line for at least 45 mins. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind. By the time I got to the window there were easily 15-20 cars behind me who probably wanted the chicken sandwich they were out of. I don't understand how they run out- just order double or triple the supply if you know it's popular. The food was very good and fresh. I'll be back when the next fried chicken craving hits me.

David B.

Yelp
Popeyes chicken coating is delicious but the experiences of such horrible service and screwed up orders completly sours the taste in my mouth. I love Popeyes, just not this location.

Jim D.

Yelp
Went there tonight, there was a car at the speaker, a car behind it, then me. Sat there 15 min waiting to order. Finally get to the speaker and I'm told "sorry we're closed". Then I was stuck in the line and had to sit there and wait 20 more minutes to get out of the damn place while the 2 cars in front of me waited for their food. F this place. I'll never give them a dime of my money.

Jim C.

Yelp
The food is always hot and tasty. The spicy chicken sandwich has a huge piece of chicken on it. The roll is soft and fresh. The fries had spilled out of their little pouch, they were good too. I used the drive-thru which adds a little time to the visit but when the food is hot and fresh, the extra few minutes are fine. When ordering take out, your sandwich is wrapped in a foil bag so it stays hot until you get back to home or work. That is awesome. I've visited this restaurant at different times during the day. Whether lunch or dinner, the experience and customer service has been the same. Friendly crew, busy during the lunch and dinner rushes and delivering a hot meal. On my last visit, I actually pulled out of the McD's line I was in and got in line at Popeye's on the other side of the Home Depot parking lot. Glad I did. The lunch was completely satisfying. I'd add a picture but I already ate it all.

Ignatius L.

Yelp
I picked up some chicken dinners for the kids at Popeyes on Elmwood. They don't accept American Express. This is really quite unheard of for a national chain restaurant, and a poor business decision. TIP: Take money from customers any way they'll fork over (or spork over?) their hard earned money to you. Tried here again. Beware, they close before posted hours.

Andrew N.

Yelp
I have gone here 3 times as a Postmates driver to put in orders for people. Every time this place is pure chaos. People are screaming, order taking is crazy, the staff is running around, it's just stressful. In the times I've gone there they messed up my order which forced me to have to go back, they were out of things, and have left me waiting 10-15min for my food. I will never go here out of choice in my life.

Matthew T.

Yelp
Horrible service with rude workers. None of the food was correct and we didn't receive our drinks or biscuits even though we paid for them. When we asked for our drinks we were ignored.

Daviyion J.

Yelp
I mean it's fast food fried chicken and there aren't really any other options in the area. Totally hits the spot when you've got the cravings and those biscuits (when fresh!) are divine.

Mark D.

Yelp
I decided to drive past 5 KFCs to make it to this Popeyes, and it was well worth it! The chicken was good, the price was cheaper than KFC, the service was comparatively friendlier, and the drive thru line was not at all long! Better than that, I have just learnt that a new one has opened on Union Road, only 2 KFC away from me! I am more than ecstatic! :)

Justin P.

Yelp
Service is bad. I will go out my way not to go there. The did not honor a promo that was in the Poppy's app. Then talked down to me... trash service period.

Karen F.

Yelp
I love popeye's. I enjoy eating popeye's chicken everywhere I go. The reason I am giving this a three star is because of the employees. They are rude and don't seem to care about customer wants. I know popeye's will allow you to get all chicken as a type of meat (thights/wings, etc. -- white meat would be an up charge I believe). I've done it before in many locations and never had a problem until this one. This popeye's doesn't allow that and when there are special promotions from corporate, they don't follow it either.

Yelp
Been here 3 different times and all 3 I was disappointed and had severe upset stomach from the food . Not recommend at all . Needed pepto each time so it's just the food . Long lines and poor customer service. Will never eat again .

Yelp
I would not recommend using their drive thru unless you'd like an incomplete order.. Their customer service is horrible. Make sure you check your receipt, you may be charged for something you did not order. The Manager there is useless.

Yelp
Popeyes is a decent option for chain restaurant fried chicken in North Buffalo. The area is lacking anything other than a KFC as competition. I want to point out that there are a number of great non-chain restaurants downtown or closer to the city, but for the north towns I think this is your best bet. The drive-thru is efficient. One note is that I've frequently ordered an 8 or 12 piece and been offered 3 more pieces for $1. This may be because I came at off hours, but it's frequent enough that I ask for the 8 piece and see if I get the offer. If not I can always change it to the 12 piece! Generally it's decent fried chicken. It's also one of the only options in the area.

Yelp
The food was delicious, but the cashier overcharged me when she collected the money. I made it clear to her that I had given her a total of 49, but she insisted that I only gave her 48. When I got home I realized that they only gave me 15 pieces of chicken. (I ordered a shrimp tender and 16pcs of chicken.)The service attitude was very bad. When the cashier didn't solve my problem, she turned around to take the order of a customer, which made me very dissatisfied. Can't she just help me out and then do something else? This is very disrespectful to anyone! And I paid for their food, but they gave me less chicken, which made me angry.

Yelp
I prefer Olive Oil's but then I am a feminist so that makes sense. You can't actually get Spinach at Popeye's which is false advertising. Once upon a time in Jacksonville, FL I was woken up while sleeping in my car in a Holiday Inn Express parking lot, by a very scary man, missing teeth, who looked exactly like Popeye. It's hard to get into Popeye after that. Especially since for all I know, that guy owns this chain. Maybe. Possibly. Pretty decent fried chicken and some pretty decent Louisiana stews. Surprisingly okay for a fast food place but still far from being an authentic or remarkable dining experience. Hovered between 2 and 3 stars and then gave it a 2 because it's such a big chain and doesn't have that family cooking taste at all. The food at Popeye's is actually pretty good, but I'm not sure why people in such an amazing culinary city as Buffalo love it so much. They used to have a police officer here because it would get so crazy and popular - not sure if they still do. The same thing happened when Krispy Creme came here, but then that disappeared. Anyway, while the cajun food here is decent, it appeals to all my friends way more than me. Every time I try Popeye's, I remind them that it's a national chain and tastes the same everywhere, and that McKenzie's Soul Food in the Broadway Market is 1,000 times as good. For some reason people don't want to venture to the BM but it's their loss, believe me. Anyway, I'm glad Popeye's exists but it's not for me.
