Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I love the staff here they do a wonderful job executing good fast and accurate service as promised. I've never had my order given to me incomplete or incorrect. Not once has it been cold or old the biscuits are never hard as a rock like break your tooth hard. It's great for fast food either eating in or to go it's always clean and the workers stand ready to give you what you expect and then some from any fast food restaurant. I try coming here at least once a week.

My family and I stopped by there around 8:00-8:30 p.m. and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I’ll admit the staff was friendly but they left the new girl in training alone up front to deal with customers and she was clearly overwhelmed. Service was pretty fast but the quality of the food was terrible. I ordered a 3 tender combo and the chicken looked overcooked and disappointing. They had little to no flavor and neither did the mashed potatoes. Fast forward 10 hours and each and every one of us had had to go to the bathroom multiple times. We all got food poisoning. Not to mention their drink machine was out of order and clearly has been for quite some time considering they turned it into a mobile pick up station. Some of the tables were covered in random items and the counters looked like there were covered in something as well. Do not goto this location if you do decide to eat at Popeyes.

This Popeyes location is terrible. With me and one other car I waited 15mins for my food only to get to the window and have all employees ignore me. Not a single worker came to the window to explain the wait or say they would be with me shortly. I waited 5mins with employees just walking by and ignoring me. Finally someone comes to my window only to ask if I was another person who was picking up food. I explained that it wasn’t me and I had simply ordered from the drive thru. He then had the audacity to ask me if, there was a reason I had an attitude?! You wait 20mins for food with all workers ignoring you and see how you feel afterwards! They also rarely get your order right.

I’ve been eating at Popeyes for over 30 years now and even worked at one when I was in high school but this Popeyes on 82nd is the best in the world hands down! I don’t know how they do it but the mashed potatoes and gravy taste way too good, the chicken tenders at this location are always cooked to perfection. I usually only go to this location for dinner but they haven’t missed once. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out fast. They are magicians in the kitchen! When I go to other locations they always ask me to pull around front and I end up waiting for 20 minutes for some mid food but this location has my order ready at the window in just a few minutes. This needs to be the example for every other Popeyes!

Green or blue haired (couldnt tell exactly what color it was) girl at the window was so rude and completely messed up our order. I won't be going back. We went at around 5:30-6:00. She had the worst attitude. I've never seen anything like it. Not spending our hard earned money at a place with horrible customer service

If I could give a zero or a -10, I would. I was charged way over what it said on the board. When I asked about it, the guy behind the counter argued with me. He seemed angry, and all I wanted was for him to listen. The order was messed up, and the picture tells the story about the gross mac & cheese. I will never return to this Popeyes restaurant.

I wish I had gotten her name but I picked up my order through the drive thru and she saw I had my service dog with me and gave him his own chicken tenders. He absolutely loves those. Thank you for being so thoughtful.

I spent over $20 for a 2 piece meal and a 4 wings meal. The chicken was the smallest, thinest, driest chicken thigh and drumstick I’ve EVER seen. It was inedible. The red beans and rice were the smallest portion I’ve ever been served and were lukewarm. I didn’t eat them either. My granddaughters wings were dried out and lukewarm. The burnt dried out object is a Strawberry Biscuit. I bought 2 of them. They couldn’t be eaten either. Hands down this was the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a Popeyes.

A chicken sandwich was missing from the bag, I should've looked before I left the drive through. This was even an online order where it was written in front of their faces on the screen. Plus.... The telephone is disconnected. Really? That's scary and I don't think I would ever eat another bite from there again!

The outside of the building needs repairs. The parking lot needs repairs. The landscaping looks terrible and uninviting. The interior of the building is worse. Terrible management all the way around. I was never greeted. All of the appliances are very dirty and in disrepair. The air conditioning system was down. Food was not being prepared for lunch rush. People waiting. I left as soon as I started noticing just how filthy the inside of the store was.

Placed my order 31 minutes ago. Still standing here waiting. They have no clue what's going on back there. You were warned!!! Edit: while I was there, there were at least four people (even had a phone call) who came back inside because things were missing from their orders. Checked my own order and the chicken sandwich was missing. It's not hard to read a ticket, not at all.

What a snotty little girl they have taking orders! You have a sign saying "Under new Management" and that little brat behaves as if she is Gods' gift to chicken? I think NOT! Im from Colorado. Just moved to Texas. This place is a half mile from the home I just bought and was happy to see a Popeyes when I was house shopping. I had no idea that the Popeyes in Texas ARE TERRIBLE!!! I WILL NEVER GO TO POPEYES AGAIN!!

My husband placed an online order for pickup & when he got there, it was closed and a sign on the door stating closed for remodeling. There was no way to go on website to cancel the order & contacting their online customer support is a freaking joke. No response & when you try calling the corporate office you get transferred thru the prompts & then it hangs up.

I waited in drive thru and no one helped me. They told me to come inside cause they're busy. Went inside and the workers were arguing and cussing each other out. Y'all ghetto for that honestly I left after waiting 20 minutes in the store and no one took my order. I was there watching them argue

Food was ok but this place is in bad shape. Floors are greasy throughout. Bathrooms are dirty. No napkins - just a big roll of bathroom paper towels. Menu boards (TVs) don't work and probably haven't in some time because the menu is taped to the counter. I'd recommend somewhere else

I waited for 20 minutes for my food and didn't even get my order correct, I would if it was busy but thats the thing it wasn't.

It's 745pm, yall close at 10pm and we tried to go inside to eat but the doors were locked with a male employee sitting at a table on his phone ignoring us. Y'all need to do better. Fucking garbage

Popeyes has great service but the one 224 North university in Lubbock texas charged me Buffalo shrimp and Cin.apple pie and it was not in stock.no refund.also left out a couple more items.I went back and she tried to make it right but it's some major problems at this Location Better Buisness Bureau is my next to stop

I love the red beans and rice. I usually order the large. The last few times I have been there the cup is just a little over half full. I know prices have gone out of sight, but beans and rice are about the cheapest staples you can buy anywhere. For the large cup that was just over half full, it was $9.99. I am willing to pay for that price for a FULL cup, but not for just over 1/2 cup! For this reason I'm giving it a 3 star

Never have had Popeyes in my life! Seeing the food reviews online we went lastnight to attempt to try it, ordered it online for dine in and waited 30 minutes just to never get it! Ordered the 12 piece tender meal for my family. The lady said they were out of regular chicken and substituted it for the spicy chicken and I said that was fine. The full basket of chicken set on the hot warmer the whole time I was in there just to never get served. They didn't have tea, lemonade, fanta red/orange or Dr Pepper only coke and sprite, never got my straws to drink them, simple order the lady working the desk was very overwhelmed for no reason wasn't even busy ive worked in fast food before telling people in the drive thru they couldn't order on the headset. guys in the back weren't helping her playing around and cussing in the back, very unprofessional will never be going back! Trying to call to get my refund and phones are busy go figure!

I sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes at the speaker. When I finally got to order she said they were all out of spicy chicken and ask if that's ok...no!!!... It was 11am, they just opened. Ridiculous!! Drove down the street to Raising Canes, ordered and I was out of the drive thru in less than 5 minutes... If I could give 0 stars I would!!

Went there to get food just now the cashier was very rude and served a person who cut right in front of me and my wife I wouldn't recommend no one to eat at this location spend your good money somewhere else it doesn't cost anything to be real or nice specially if no one has cause you any harm or anything

Terrible drive thru service. Had to go inside to order. Didn't complete my order correctly. Paid for food I didn't get. Awful.

Ordered some chicken sandwich's. Came completely wrong and just drenched in Mayonnaise. Ridiculous

I ordered was told it would be 6 minutes. I waited for 25 minutes and when I finally got this is what it looked like. See picture Requested some seasoning sprinkles got none instead they put in hot sauce. Ordered a 10 piece and got 6 wings Ok I love Popeyes but I am done with this restaurant, bad food can't get an order right it save their sorry butts. Simple order 10 piece tenders coleslaw and Cajun rice, four spicy sandwiches. 2 cars in front of me one waiting the other Paid and left, I get to pay. Then the waiting begins 25 minutes later my wife walks back and ask what the problem was got told they overcooked the order. 20 minutes more here comes the food I do check my sides there wrong, did not check my tenders why they should be right, right? WRONG they are plain andhh cold. Tried saying something and basically got told they are busy and mistakes happen but never tried to or even offered to correct it. And yes I do know we are in rough times but that does not excuse crap service. Now an added thought your spicy chicken sandwich is nowhere near the original chicken not spicy now a bitter sour sauce that taste like bad hot sauce and mayonnaise. I guess no more of my business at the restaurant on 82 in Lubbock if I could give less I would have.

Terrible service and management. I left without ordering after waiting 20 minutes due to a "shift change". More disappointing than my last trip there.

I ordered a "two can dine for 10$" I received 4 wings and a BURNT thigh. This was all after waiting 15 mins. Don't waste your time or your money. Stay safe

Stood in line for 20 minutes in an empty restaurant, no one said anything or attempted to take my order. Just completely ignored me. Terrible customer service.

If you would like to wait in an empty drivethru line for 30 minutes to get your food, this is the place to go! Terrible service and even worse food, raw chicken and a rude staff all sharing one braincell. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

made a mobile order at 9pm, 12pc tender box with fries and biscuits. we waited a while in the drive thru but the person at the window was nice & the food was hot and fresh when it came through the window. sauce and napkins in the bag, very pleased. we will be back!

The only complaint I have is the manager was wearing mask below the nose so was the cashier at the window. Everyone else wore no mask. 3 were on the side of the building smoking. 1 foot from each other. I was torn do I eat the food or not. I was wearing my mask in the drive through. It starts at the top. If you aren't wearing the mask correctly. Over your nose. Then you are not wearing a mask.

Went through drive thru got home missing two pieces of chicken in an 8 piece all 4 biscuits, no receipt no napkins no thanks this location is always bad chicken express was too busy next time ill wait it out at chicken express.

This used to be one of my favorite places, but last 2 times i came here has really gone down hill, cashier gave me change for 20 when i gave her a 50, maybe an honest mistake,they took 25 min. to get my food and we were the only ones there and when we did get it everything was cold so KFC next time

We drive all the way to the Popeyes on university. Even though this Popeyes is a few blocks from the house. Customer service is not very friendly. To wait for chicken at dinner rush for 40 minutes is not good. This has happened several times. So we decided never to go to this Popeyes.

Same ole Popeyes chicken but the rudest staff and dirtiest Popeyes location I have been in. If I managed or invested in this location I would be embarrassed. I have tried to contact corporate and have not received a response! Go to any other location besides this one!! Terrible employees and filthy! However they are still employing Tony I can't believe it, his attitude towwards customers is unreaL and the manager supports it!!! Go to ANY OTHER LOCATION BESIDES THIS ONE... it will be worth the gas

Horrible best discribes the food. Chicken strips were hard from over cooking and the shrimp, menu says butter fly shrimp, no more a butterfly shrimp than Joe Biden is a president. This was the most expensive crap meal I ever ate, ended up throwing most in the garbage I wouldn't give it to my dog.

My husband and I have ate here several time. Normally it's pretty good. Slow most of the time but today a little fast. The grease was old and the cold slaw was bad. Not a little bad a lot bad. The biscuits weren't fresh either. We went though the drive up and the lady was very nice. Two Stars!

I would give zero stars if I could! I ordered an 8 piece dark/white meat mix! I got 5 breast and 3 wings! I waited over 20 minutes for my meal. They didn't give me an option to wait longer for fresh dark meat or I would have especially for some thighs! Plus, place was filthy and staff was rude! Next time I crave Popeyes, I will wait for vacation in another city! Even the Midland store is better than this one!

Slowest dang place ever!!!!! Every time I come here it's always slow. And the guy that took the order at the drive thru wouldn't even listen long enough to take the order. Never coming back here.

The place was filthy with dirty towels on the counter, food, grease, trash all over the floor behind the counter while ET the GM not on Top of it. I got a refund mainly because of The Nastiness but also the rudeness from ET. I wish I could upload pictures!!!

Ordered one tender combo in the drive-thru, they told me to pull up and they'd bring it out to me when the tenders were ready. Waited 15 minutes and finally decided to go inside to get my order. I was not greeted, the guy at the cash register took the mans order ahead of me then promptly walked off when I stepped up. The guy that was supposed to bring the order out, came in from the other door carrying a subway sandwich and then tells me he was actually looking for me when I asked them if they'd forgotten about me. Now I remember why I don't like going to Popeyes, this wouldn't have happened at Chick-Fil-A. Had it not been for my son, I wouldn't have gone.

Worst place to go try and get chicken, went by at 9:20 pm they were closed, next day by 8:45 pm they were closed, next day at 7:45 pm closed, not going back

Come here if you want to wait an hour for some cold chicken in a dirty place with bad service! #neveragain

Gloria is the first employee in about 6 or 7 month to provide stellar service at this location my daughter's order was correct it was fresh and Gloria was very informative and went way out of her way to please !!!

okay me and my boyfriend pulled up and ordered a number 7 & 8 , the sweet teas we're a little too sweet for us so we got different drinks for them to taste like carbonated water the fries were really cold and not fresh at all , the whole meal was a disappointment. Then we got karate chopped by ninjas

i had the classic chicken sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard they were too spicy but it was good and a good size portion. I adjusted my calories and meal plan for the day because it is 699 calories.

I normally wouldn't review fast food....but this place is by far the best Popeyes I've ever been to. Seriously...it was amazing. My food was hot and delicious. The staff was so friendly. Everything was speedy. I love Popeyes and have been to some locations over the years that have been mediocre on occasion, but I give this one the highest marks across the board. Will definitely be back.

So it's 9:05 as I pull into the drive through, and the drive through speaker came on as a recorded voice and said we are closed. A full hour before their closing time. The guy said yeah we close soon so we turn the drive through off. When I called the store later they said the drive through machine is broken. ?? Then I sat at the window for 6 minutes waiting for the one person who was still working on orders to get through taking an order outside to a car that was waiting before me. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and the guy tells me I got lucky, and I got the last two. Again, it's an hour before you close and I got the last two sandwiches they were making for the night? Will not be going back to that location for sure..

Went there at 8:30 on Sunday night. Ordered two piece chicken spicy only to be told it was going to be a 25 minute wait. I changed my order to original only to be told that it also would be a 25 minute wait. I asked the cashier if they had any chicken ready. Her reply was she would have to ask the manager. The manager came up front and told me that they were not going to make any more chicken and would I like something else. Something else?? Your name is Popeye's Chicken!!!

This place is awful, I can't say this is normal of the chain itself. But today, when I ordered from the drive thru, they poured the red beans and rice all over the box of chicken as opposed to putting it in its own container. When I took it back, with my own valuable time, they told me they don't comp meals so I could either enjoy what I paid for or get a refund. So I had to hand over the mess to get my money back. What restaurant has the policy: sorry we don't understand the concept of containers, guess you can give us back the mess and we will get you a refund? I've never had this problem at a Popeyes before, they generally put the food in its container. And when The shift manager just kinda chuckled and said "well, you can take your food or your refund." I was livid. Won't be going back to this location ever again.

I dont mind eating at popeyes chicken occasionally. The only knock i have of them is when i order the chicken tenders, i dont get very much gravy. The chicken is good and the prices are reasonable.

I only eat Primal/Paleo any more, which is meat and vegetables with no added carbs. But every once in a while I have to cheat a little and of all the food I could cheat with, I choose Popeyes to do it. There is just something about fried chicken in general that I love and Popeyes makes it spicy, which I adore. And their darn biscuits are addictive too, I always want one more than I had.

Had the worst experience here! Ordered my food only to learn that the only side they were not out of was rice. Drive up to pay and told to park with the 4 other cars. Waited 16 minutes for my food (and yes I timed it) when I was brought my food I asked for the managers name, the girl replied that she was the manager so I told her the wait was unacceptable! Her response was well you ordered the rice and that takes longer to make. I told her I was forced to order that bc she did not have any other sides and she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Very rude service! Will not be a repeat customer.
