New Orleans Mayor Says Police Shortage Could Mean ‘No Mardi Gras’ | Eater New Orleans

"More than two weeks after the New Orleans fire department responded to the Popeyes at Carrollton Avenue and Earhard Boulevard (3100 S. Carrollton), the restaurant remains boarded up and was recently listed on Google as “temporarily closed.”" - Clair Lorell

Went to this Popeyes on Read Blvd. Ordered a 4 piece white meat. They didn't have chicken so I had to wait...no problem. 12+dollars for 4 pieces of just chicken...no problem. Qhwn I get home to eat and watch the game I have 3 wings and one breast! For 12+dollars! Really! I couldn't get 2 breasts and 2 wings???? Service and customer service sucks! It was wrong, lazy and uncaring for me the customer! I won't be going to that Popeyes again! That wasn't right or fair for the money I spent!

This Popeyes Is The Best In The City. The Night Shift Is Very Friendly And Was Very Helpful. It’s Always Clean Every Time I’m There. I’m Always Greeted With Kindness From Everyone. The Manager Kirshell Is Very Nice And Helpful. She Helped Me To Read The Menu And Order Exactly What I Wanted. And The Crew Got My Order Ready And Was Done Within 5 Minutes.

The night staff is super incompetent. I arrived 1.5 hours before closing and they had no spicy chicken for my meal I’d ordered in the app. This wouldn’t be a big deal had they simply communicated and asked if I wanted to wait or just have original, but they gave me original without any communication. Glad I checked my bag before leaving. I then waited 20+ min for spicy. When they brought out my second box, the biscuit was missing. I went back up to the window, and one of the managers tried saying my meal didn’t come with a biscuit even though it did. When I asked if they wanted to see my receipt, she begrudgingly handed another employee a biscuit for me as if I was lying or trying to get over on them for a biscuit … seriously? All around from the attitude (over THEIR mistake), to the incorrect items and long wait time, I can’t recommend this location and won’t be back.

I hit the drive through for my fried chicken sandwich fix every couple weeks, the sandwich is perfect. My only complaint and I hope you see this, ownership, is your speaker in the drive through. Can’t ever understand a damn thing coming through that thing which makes it really difficult to order. Get a new one please!

This Popeyes is probably the best Popeyes location in the city. This Popeyes is ALWAYS clean. The food is Always fresh, it’s never any long lines. Well the lobby. Drive thru always look like a typical Popeyes drive thru. However the lobby is never filled with a million & one people. In & Out. The manager is friendly & nice. Other employees are nice as well. I live few streets away. & I frequent here a lot. I’m always in & out. I order on the app. When you think of Popeyes you automatically think of long lines & wait time. But this Popeyes actually get you out of there as quickly as possible. I’m thankful to say this is My local Popeyes. Sincerely, Big Back Diamond 💜

The chicken wings that I ordered wasn’t in the black box that it’s supposed to come in mixed with sauce. I asked about it to the person at the window and was told that is how it comes but advertised it comes in a black box mixed with sauce. She stood there not trying to make the situation better. I asked for a manager and she closed the window and shook her head. Also in my order was a bacon chicken sandwich, the sandwich supposed to come with two full sized strips of bacon on it but on my sandwich was a half of bacon in two pieces. I was also told that that’s how the sandwich comes but advertised, it’s supposed to be two strips of bacon. Who ever making the food need training and the lady at the window need training as well. Whoever is the manager needs to be more aware of what is going on in the restaurant. My order was never fixed. I drove off in complete disappointment. Ordered and picked time was about 8:50pm on February 15.

Me & bae went today & got a 10 piece special; 2 large sides & bout 20 hard a$$ biscuits (exaggeration)🤢. Anyway the line was so long it ran pass Rallys & Dominoes. Took forever to finally get the opportunity to place our order & we made it just in time because we were the last to be served (not sure if everyone behind us were turned away or not. Not many places were open due to the Mardi Gras parades around. The meal was great; I enjoyed the chicken & for our sides we both chose red beans. As for the biscuits 😦 not so much. Wasn't too bad besides that. Thanks Popeyes!
