WHEN: Saturday @6:15pm
I placed an order on the phone app because there were specials and deals going on! I chose the pick up option because even though they say it's Free Delivery with $15+ purchase, the itemized prices were a bit more expensive.
Anyway, I made the mistake of coming during prime time so there was a line at the drive thru. I wasn't sure what the protocol was for order pick up so I got in the drive thru, and when I arrived they had already have my bag ready! Easy!
Here's what I ordered:
2 CAN DINE SPECIAL- 5PCS SIGNATURE CHICKEN - $8.99
This special offer comes with:
+1pc Leg Mild
+1pc Wing Mild
+1pc Breast Mild
+1pc Thigh Mild
+Regular Size Cajun Fries
+Regular Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy
+2 Biscuits
What a deal right!? This will totally fill 2 people up for under $10! Everything was delicious! I really wish they had mac 'n cheese.
CLASSIC FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH - $3.99
A tender all-white meat chicken breast fillet, marinated in an authentic blend of Louisiana seasonings, then hand battered and breaded in our all new buttermilk coating. Served with crisp barrel cured pickles and Classic or Spicy Mayonnaise, served on a warm and toasted buttery brioche bun. Yes, I copied and pasted from their website.
I'm here so I might as well order it without fearing I would wait 2 hours and get into a fist fight with someone. I'm so glad I waited for this! I was impressed and was VERY happy for a $4 sandwich! I'm used to payed $8-$12 for one, and this was very decent for the price! Would I pay a few more bucks for something at better quality and locally? Yes. I'm happy I finally got to try this overly hyped sandwich, and I did it without any bruises! Worth trying if you haven't!
CINNAMON APPLE PIE - $1.59
Warm, crispy crust on the outside, hot cinnamon apple goodness on the inside.
Okay, so I had ordered the Blueberry Lemon Cream Cheese Pie, but I guess this location didn't have it. So they replaced it with the Cinnamon Apple Pie. That's fine, I'd just like a heads up. It's warm, gooey, and all deep fried so you know it was good!
I came back a different night for some of that sweet Apple Pie around 9:30pm. Pulling at the drive thru, a staff member informed me that there was only Chicken Sandwiches left. I asked "So you don't have any Apple Pies?" They said no but they have Banana Cream Pie and I got excited and said yes! When I got home I realized its the the kind of pie that is a deep friend hand pit like the apple one:
BANANA CREAME PIE - $3.59
It was in a cup, with a layer of the crust that tasted pretty gross. Then a layer of the Banana Cream Custard, and some whipped topping, topped with a Nilla Wafer Cookie. This is frozen. I had to wait for it to thaw. This was overall very unsatisfying and more than double the cost of an Apple Pie. Oh well, lesson learned.
I'd totally come back though.
