The food is great but this location could use a lot of help!
When they first opened, there were lines out the door and staff seemed overwhelmed and had not yet hit their stride. After about a month, they seemed to be doing a lot better but ever since, it is hit and miss (mostly miss) as far as customer service goes. The location has been opened for over a year the issues are not due to being new.
I have been to quite a few Popeye's locations and I would rate all others much higher, at least 4 stars. It doesn't seem to matter if there are two customers in line of if they have a line out the door, there is always just one person running the cash register. When I walked in last night, there were 2 people ahead of me and quite a few people waiting for orders. One person was getting the orders ready and from what I could tell, one person cooking. There were at least 3-4 other staff member who weren't doing anything other than walking back and forth between the front counter and the back of the kitchen. I never say them bring anything forward or take anything back. The bins that hold the cooked chicken under the heat lamps were completely full so I am not sure why there we so many people waiting on orders.
After about 5 minutes, I was second in line and the person taking orders decided to help the one person who was getting orders ready. The cook kept cooking and the rest of the staff just kind of moved around behind the counter, again, not doing anything.
At this point, a woman approached the counter to ask about her order, she explained that she had already been waiting for 15 minutes for her order. Two of the staff members that seemed to be walking around, looked at her receipt before telling her that the patty for her sandwich would be another 10 minutes. I walked out at this point. There was still one person in front of me and at least 5 people waiting on orders. I had already waited long enough.
