Taco Bell Testing Chicken Sandwich Taco Before Nationwide Rollout | Eater

"This fast-food brand is credited with igniting a viral chicken sandwich craze in summer 2019, serving as a defining example of consumer appetite for fried-chicken sandwiches and helping to kick off intense competition across quick-service menus." - Jenny G. Zhang

Popeyes Follows Up Chicken Sandwich With a Cajun Flounder Option | Eater

"Launching a Cajun Flounder Sandwich on February 11 that features flounder “caught in the icy waters of the Pacific,” breaded and fried, served on a brioche bun with pickles and tartar sauce. To reduce buyer risk, the brand is offering “Sandwich Insurance” — add $0.15 and if you don’t like it they’ll swap it for a chicken sandwich. The release is explicitly positioned to recreate the viral momentum of a prior chicken-sandwich sensation, though commentators note lingering consumer skepticism about fast-food fish, questions about price/value (roughly $4.49), potential impacts on flounder supply, and broader concerns about wage practices." - Jaya Saxena

McDonald’s to Debut Spicy Chicken McNuggets in the U.S. | Eater

"One casual-chicken chain is widely credited with igniting last summer's escalation in fast-food chicken competition by issuing a direct challenge to a major rival, helping spur other chains to expand or test new chicken items." - Jenny G. Zhang

McDonald’s and Starbucks Tweet About Social Justice, But Fail Employees | Eater

"The fried-chicken chain briefly tweeted a blunt statement—‘Popeyes is nothing without Black lives’—then deleted and replaced it with a more conventional line about injustice and equality; the brand has also been swept up in a public, petty rivalry with a competitor over whose fried-chicken sandwich is better, illustrating how corporate messaging can swing between serious political commentary and brand theater." - Jenny G. Horrible! This is the third time I've ordered DoorDash for this Popeye's that it's been such a nightmare. I was missing part of my order (a drink and a biscuit) and the coleslaw was sour. Never ordering at this store again unless major overhaul happens.

You know, Popeyes hasn't always been around Indiana. I didn't go when it first opened, but I heard that it was bad. Since then, I've gone probably about 5-10 times, each time worst than the last. The most recent "visit" is what I am reviewing. I was quite famished and ordered the Hot Ones combo via doordash. After finally arriving at my house, I opened the bag to dsicover that it was missing not only a cup of sauce that came with the meal, but an entire chicken sandwich. Words cannot express how much grief I felt in that moment. I had waited, hungry, with the promise of bonless bites, sirracha dippers, and a rojo chicken sandwich, for about an hour. It was disapointing that I had to remain hungry and couldn't enjoy my meal that I paid for with my hard earned money because of this. Popeyes, I may never return here. I have been betrayed for the last time.

Phenomenal service! Patient and friendly; food was amazing! That Ghost Pepper was a good spicy. and that coleslaw, of course, the chicken, crisp and hot. Thank you!

They had a few bumps in the road but the staff here is very friendly. Food HOT and tasty. Support the new team as I love the food and I use the Popeyes Apps as they have great coupons to keep me coming back

The worker working on July 23rd at about 9:30pm was very kind and efficient. He fulfilled our order quickly and accurately! The only thing I take a star off for is because it is more expensive than other places, so I don’t choose to go here as often. Other than that, I am happy with the service and food!

First time coming here, and we was hungry for mashed potatoes and crispy chicken. Almost $10 for 2 piece chicken meal. 3 piece was more, it said it came with a breast, but we got a thigh. The lady just said it was either or. The tea tasted weird, the Cajun gravy mashed potatoes was awful and very lumpy. The Mac was okay. The chicken was good and crispy at least. Won't come here again, nasty food and expensive little portions. Bring back long John silvers!

Can’t rate the food because we never got it. 6 minutes in drive thru with no acknowledgement, so we thought maybe it’s broken, we’ll go inside. In 10 minutes the line never moved and 5 people ahead of us. Someone who was possibly manager/supervisor never got off his cell phone, and put maybe two items in bags. A woman we could see in the kitchen area stared into the fryer the entire time. One girl was trying to run the drive thru, the counter, fill all the orders, and get stuff from the kitchen. When a customer who HAD been served before we arrived interrupted and asked for butter, the girl said they were out. They were also out of Cole slaw and another side I can’t remember. COMPLETE opposite of the excellent service we’re used to at our Popeyes!!!

I went there last night with my friend, the lady who was at the window rushed out orders, I did not receive my biscuit that I ordered, the lady also said they didn’t have any garlic parm sauce even though they advertised it. My chicken tenders were dry, one was still a bit pink, and the other one wasn’t cooked all the way. Only thing that was good about my food was the mashed potatoes, other than that it was terrible. The lady who also gave me and my friend out food also just closed the window in our faces without even saying anything, I was genuinely upset over it.
