Cute lil brunch spot. Fried chicken benedict was very heavy but well seasoned. The crispiness of the chicken + the runny egg + English muffin makes for an interesting flavor combo

The food was delicious, as I was eating I forgot to snap a picture of the good looking plate of food, I also had the egg coffee it was so good. Definitely would return!

I Google maps and reviews for a breakfast restaurant. The one reason I selected Popping Yolk Cafe was the current reviews giving high praise for food and service. The owner is proactive responding to all reviews. Good and bad reviews. So, I decided to have breakfast. You order at the cashier counter and the staff brings you your meal. My first impression the decor/ambiance was nothing special. The service was very good and knowledgeable. I ordered the "Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict " medium spicy. No knowing how they rate the spice levels. Next time I will choose the higher level of spiciness. I like the fact that they serve a salad with the entree to break up the richness of the eggs. The potatoes were crisp and just average. Coffee was so so not the best I've had. Ok with non dairy creamer which I never use in Coffee. I will definitely return. Maybe their new location in Arcadia closer to our home.

Came here twice in the span of three days. First time, we ordered the eggs benedict which had super crunchy potatoes that I can't stop thinking about. The star was the ube French toast tho! Second visit, I ordered the smoked salmon croissant sandwich and really enjoyed it! My friends ordered omelets that were unfortunately very runny.

Cute place with an outdoor patio and a some unique dishes. I tried the strawberry cheesecake cake crepes filled with cereal, strawberries and a sweetened cream cheese spread. I should have asked what kind of cereal. I was thinking carols and it was Frosted Flakes, making it WAY to sweet overall for me. I ended up picking out the cereal and ate a quarter of it. If you’ve got a sweet tooth however, you may love this dish. We also ordered the burger. I HATE well done meats and asked a head of time if it could be done on the rare side of medium rare…it was well done, I took one bite and was done. The grilled pineapple was yummy but the pre-formed frozen patty was a disappointment for an $18.00. Hubby got the apple cinnamon French Toast. It was deep fried which left the inside nice and chewy and he loved it. It was worth a try but probably won’t repeat. #breakfast #hawaiian #crepes #burgers

Looking for the perfect brunch destination this weekend, you should definitely check out Popping Yolk Cafe! Popping Yolk Cafe is a super cute and aesthetic brunch cafe with locations in both Hacienda Heights and Alhambra. This local brunch spot serves everything from omelettes to sandwiches to crepes. They also have a variety of beverage such as coffee, tea, and juices. FOOD: What I Ordered: Classic Benedict 🥚, Half Order Toffee Banana French Toast 🍌🍯🍞, Popping Yolk Burger 🍔 , Iced Caramel Latte 🧊☕️, Fresh Orange Juice 🍊 Eggs Benedict 🥚: Eggs Benedict is a brunch must have. While Popping Yolk offers a variety of unique Benedicts, we decided to stick with the classic. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and topped with just the right amount of Hollandaise sauce. Banana Toffee French Toast 🍞: If you are someone who loves sweets for breakfast, I’d definitely recommend trying the French Toast. The French Toast is deep fried so it has an incredible crispy texture on the outside but still is nice and soft on the inside. I loved the combination of toffee and banana for toppings. Popping Yolk Burger 🍔: Whenever I have the option, I always choose to add a sunny side up egg to my burger so when I saw that the burgers here already come with an egg I was egg-static! This burger had all my favorite toppings and was so delicious! 😍 All of Popping Yolks savory entrees come with a generous side of country fried potatoes and garden spring salad. The country fried potatoes were one of my favorite parts of the meal. They are so fun to eat because they are in small bite sized pieces. They are so crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Drinks: As for the drinks, I love that their orange juice is freshly squeezed and you can really taste the difference! It’s so sweet and refreshing. The iced caramel latte had a nice caramel flavor and was was the perfect amount of sweetness. SERVICE: I went on a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy. There were a lot of free tables so we got to sit wherever we wanted, inside or outside. We chose to sit outside because their outdoor dining space is super cute and aesthetic. We went to the front to order our food at the register and our food came out super quickly. The server was really nice and efficient. The parking lot here is a bit small but there is more parking on the side nearer to Vons so you will probably be able to find parking relatively easily! Food IG: @kristys.kravings

Google
We came in with high expectations and we're disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The fact that you have to stand in line to order your food is not my cup of tea when you are in a restaurant. I ordered the chicken and waffle separately because they do not offer the combo at this location. The waffle was small, dense, dry, and had some burnt parts in other words disappointing. The service was ok nothing stood out. We may not come back. 😔

Great food!very tasty brunch. Recommend going with a friend to share the food. Dishes can be bigger than they appear.

Yelp
As far as brunch places go this is legit. You pay for your food upfront then get a number and sit down. Staff was friendly. Did cane out quickly. I really enjoy that their menu has brunch staples like omelets, Benedict's, and waffles/pancakes, but they also add their own twist. I ate a kimchi and spam omelet that was spicy and good. Their potatoes are tasty but a little too fried for my liking but that's more of a personal preference not a bad product. Their beverage choices were solid. I could see them making special mimosas like strawberry and such to up their game but this place is reliable good. The environment is cozy and clean. Their heaters in the patio were not all working but my section was on. Staff allowed us to linger and talk with was appreciated.

Yelp
Had a really enjoyable lunch at Popping Yolk Cafe in Hacienda Heights! This cozy spot serves up fresh, hand-crafted meals made with daily-sourced ingredients, and you can definitely taste the quality in every bite. Ordering at the front is easy, and then you can relax while they prepare your food. We started with the House Crunchy French Toast (half size), which was crispy on the outside with just the right amount of sweetness--perfectly balanced and so satisfying! For the main courses, we went with the Smoked Salmon Croissant and the Hawaiian Burger. The croissant was flaky and a good portion. As for the burger, the combination of sweet pineapple, savory beef, and a runny egg was a great flavor match. However, I did find the burger a bit less juicy than I was hoping for, but it was still tasty! Overall, a great spot!

Yelp
Met some gfs here for brunch on a Sunday around 11am and it wasn't too busy. There's plenty of street parking available and it's pretty easy to locate. I've been to the Alhambra and Pasadena locations and this one was prob the smallest one but interior was clean. You order and pay upfront and they'll give you a number and table to bring the food to. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork omelette with egg whites ($19 + $1.25 extra) and we shared a half order of French toast ($9.50) between the 3 of us which was perfect cuz it came with 3 half slices. The portions were huge! I feel like when I went to Pasadena it was much smaller portion. The country fried potatoes are so good, nice and crispy like mini French fries. The salad was fresh and the omelette was cooked well. The French toast was also very good, it was deep fried and had a great crunch. I knocked off a star cuz the service was not very attentive. They were nice enough but they would not come refill water proactively and no one came by to check in how we were doing. We had to ask for water twice and we kinda gave up afterwards even tho I was so thirsty. Overall I'd come back for the food tho even tho the service was less than stellar.

Cathy D.

Yelp
I've tried the Ontario location before, so we decided to come to this location. We went for lunch on a Tuesday. It wasn't busy but there were a couple of people there. There was inside and outdoor seating. The workers were very friendly and would check on us often. They also played good music. For today's meal we got the Nashville Chicken sandwich, stack of strawberry pancakes and the Santa Barbara burger. The food was really good and very filling. I love the salad that they pair the sandwich with. And the potatoes were nice and flavorful. The chicken i wish was a bit thicker but overall it wasn't dry. The pancakes were my favorite item. Not too sweet and a nice chewy texture! Would love to come back to this location!

Jorge G.

Yelp
This little gem hidden in hacienda heights is a great place to get some breakfast. Stopped by and got the salmon Benedict's and the Nashville chicken Benedict. They come with a small salad and some delicious home potatoes. I also ordered a side of the full stack strawberry pancakes. The service was amazing. You have to order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. The restaurant is very clean and very friendly atmosphere.

Emily K.

Yelp
Went here as a group for brunch on the weekend. You ordered the food first before you sit down which is kinda interesting and convenience. Got a few dishes to share. Not in the pic, but we also ordered the Ube toast and it was so good! 10/10 would recommend. Also very very big portion, each dish can feed at least 2 people. The salmon Benedict was pretty good. Pull pork omelette was alright as there's too much mushroom and not much pork. I would go back to this place if I'm looking for a breakfast place again.

Christine I.

Yelp
Popping Yolk is one of the nice brunch spots around this area! I'd always go here when I want to catch up with a friend! Service is accommodating and food is always good here! The serving sizes here are good and are shareable!! I feel all the Benedict's are 10/10! So, any really is a good choice! But, personally from all the times I've visited the Benny's I've had were the Nashville (9/10) Pulled Pork (8.5/10) and Lox (8/10) The rating is higher due to the bang for your buck with what you get from size and cost! The Ube French toast isn't bad 7/10! Crunch is good and sweetness just right and not overly decadent. Regular French toast is also good if you want to share with a friend for that sweet and savory. Coffee here is OK not amazing but worth it if you don't have time to do a cafe hop after eating!

Raymond M.

Yelp
One of the worst brunch places I've been to. Idk how you f@$&/ up an omelette. Had the Ube French toast as well and it was disgusting. Every bite felt like old cooking oil burst in my mouth.

Joanna L.

Yelp
I ordered a salad and while they gave me a TON of salad, I found it very lackluster. Came to popping yolk early morning on a Saturday and there was no wait and plenty of parking. You pay first at the front and take a number to your table. The salad just felt like a typical spring mix you could get at any grocery store with a side of vinagrette squeezed out of a Kraft dressing bottle. It wasn't particularly dressed or had any unique toppings that made it stand out. I barely touched my salad and probably won't be back.

Veronica F.

Yelp
This is based on a to-go, sit down order. When you walk in the cashier is basically at the door, menu is provided, but you need to place your order at the front, then pay, get a number, and the order will come to your table. Due to the fact this is a nice, snug, restaurant, we found a table and placed an order for pick up. I told the cashier where we were sitting for the order. As I was scoping out the place and lookin at the dishes served, presentation was on point as I was getting hungrier by the minute. I ordered the toffee banana waffles accompanied by an iced horchata latte. My little one had the Nashville hot chicken Benedict plate with home potatoes and small side salad. With all the excitement to grub, we were a little disappointed. The temperature was lukewarm. I do like my food a decent temp to enjoy a "hot meal". We literally ordered to-go and ate the food once it comes to our table. Not sure why it was a lukewarm temp. The hollandaise sauce for the eggs Benedict plate, was like a butter consistency and my girl had to smooth it over the chicken to get the flavor but then it was clumpy; she said the chicken had flavor but too cold to really enjoy. The toffee nut flavor was there but still not warm enough. I would try coming here again- we were thinking maybe just order at the front counter so the food comes in hot and not into the to-go boxes. If someone were to DoorDash this food, that's not recommended. Dine in to get the freshest plate. Service was friendly and restaurant clean.

Martha R.

Yelp
They have a good selection on their menu. Anything from a breakfast sandwich, eggs Benedict, to an omelette or if you have a sweet tooth they have a variety of French toast options. We ordered the garden omelette and original French toast. We also both had coffee and it was very good. The omelette was very tasty! It had mushrooms, spinach, avocado with a pesto drizzle on top. It was served with a fresh salad and breakfast potatoes. Plenty to share for two people!! We only had a bite of the French toast because we were so full but it was good too! Service was great. The server was very attentive and filled our coffee and water as needed. It's in a small shopping center so easy to miss but luckily we found it on Yelp!

Ashley F.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting and I had a good experience. The color of the building is off-putting and the aesthetic is a little off but that's ok. What matters the most are the service, cleanliness and quality of the food. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were greeted as soon as we entered and given a menu to review before ordering. The portions are large and the food was good. I do want to try the French toast the next time I go. Overall, I enjoyed my time and will visit again.

Tricia T.

Yelp
Love this cute, cozy brunch spot in Hacienda Heights! The outside is charming and perfect for brunch. They offer a wide selection of items--I wish I could order them all! I settled for the savory Norwegian Benedict and an ube latte. Yummy! The dish comes with country fried potatoes very crispy just how I like it and garden green .

Claudia G.

Yelp
First time here they serve huge portions small little place, but the food is good. I recommend coming in.

Ashley R.

Yelp
This is a small establishment on the corner of a pretty busy promenade. We did not dine in but we did place an order to go. We ordered 2 of the ham and avocado croissants and an orange juice and that came out to about $45 dollars. The sandwiches came with a mixed greens side salad and potatoes. To be quite honest, the croissants were good, but I've had better. The potatoes were really tasty and the salad was just a salad. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and did taste great. Overall though, over priced and the food was good but don't think I'll be back because it was pricey for the type of food we ordered.

Magda N.

Yelp
All food option is really delicious. All menu item stands out and they really deliver. Popping yolk burger is really good. Solid beef burger without being heavy. You can have the egg cooked however you want. We got scrambled and that's probably the best scrambled egg we've ever had. Silky, smooth. The side potatoes really hold the crunch and not oily at all. French toast is really crunchy even after being ignored for a while, probably cuz it's deep fried. Yet it's not oily or heavy and also flavor is not too sweet. Mango iced tea is 6 bucks and free refill. They taste good and they're free refill. Worth it. They have a covered patio seating that is dog friendly. You can go in to the main entrance and tell them you have a dog, then they will open the patio door. For first time visitors- they will bring you to your seats and give menu. Then you need to go up the cashier to place order and pay. They will explain all this to you, their service is top notch and they always check up without being intrusive. As with high quality food and service, you can expect to pay about $20-$25 per person. Wait time is minimum- in higher brunch demographic area, you probably will be waiting 30 minute. They are located in the vons plaza. On the other side next to JJ Bakery. You can't miss it, it's the building with bright yolk color.

Kris H.

Yelp
Cute breakfast and brunch spot to check out. The staff were really nice as well! I got the Norwegian eggs benny and it was delicious. They give good amount of potato to salad ratio along with the eggs benny. I think this is a solid place to get an eggs benny :)!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I love this brunch place! probably my favorite local brunch spot near me. I always get any sort of benedict meal and it never disappoints. Service is great. You order your food and pay then find a seat. Never an issue finding a seat, if its packed they will seat you. The ambiance is nice and gives the brunch atmosphere.

Jay S.

Yelp
What a great sandwich and experience overall! My preferred egg of choice is always over-medium and Popping Yolk nailed it! Shout out to Jocelyn and Regina for the AMAZING service. Great energy from the two and I'll definitely be back for some more great food!

Angeli P.

Yelp
I'm blown away. I didn't really know what to expect walking into an establishment that serves American food that is embedded in a plaza with mostly Asian food. To my surprise we really loved the pulled pork omelet. Their potatoes are 5 star! Crunchy, hot and not oily at all. The banana toffy waffles were okay. They were a bit soggy and it was an interesting taste to pair it with an Ube scoop of ice cream? It was way too sweet for us. The house coffee was definitely a 1. My recommendation is to stick with the savory foods and their portions are huge!

Rosemarie E.

Yelp
I've done a review here before. So all I gotta say is. Reminder. You can never go wrong with the Ube French Toast. :)

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Find the bright yellow building and you've reached Popping Yolk Cafe. There's inside and outside patio seating here and can accommodate slightly bigger groups. Order at the register then you're given a number to place once you've found a table. We opted to sit outside. The food here is overpriced. Presents well, and photographs well, but expect to pay well over twenty an entree. The tables favorite was the ube French toast. It was made perfectly. Had a nice crunch, stuffed with ube, and not mushy or eggy. Second runner up was the spam kimchi omelette. We've never had anything like this before so it was a good combo for comforting breakfast food. I'd come back for these two entrees. We had a pitcher of their lychee sangria and that was a creeper. Service was excellent. Staff was attentive and met all our needs. Plenty of parking right out front, too.

Tania T.

Yelp
It was my first time here at Popping Yolk Cafe, HH, CA. Our group was greeted by the wait staff as we entered. We had a bigger group for brunch so they instructed us to wait at our table as we waited for the rest of our group to assemble. Once we were complete, we had to get up to the front again to place our order at the cashier. They gave us a number for our table and waited for the food! The wait wasn't that long. The drinks came out first, the Earl grey Latte was good, but the Ube Latte was great! We got them Latte iced since it's been a crazy summer but both drinks were refreshing and great for a hot brunch day. Some of our group went with savory dishes while I stuck it out with the sweet dish. The savory dishes all came with a side of fried diced potato and salad, with whatever main dish you ordered. I tried the hot Nashville chicken with eggs Benedict and it was so good. I think the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was crispy, seasoned thoroughly, and so tender and moist on the inside. The egg yolk was runny as you crack it open and it was just a perfect gooey and flow-y egg yolk and it goes so well with the crispy chicken. I also liked the kimchi and spam omelet. The kimchi and spam omelet were very creamy and very mild, it was surprisingly good! I was mostly surprised at how creamy the texture is with kimchi. The price is reasonable, the portions are really huge, so it is great to share! The wait staff were all very helpful and attentive. Um I had to take off a star here because well the ambiance is really weird. Mainly most of the place is decorated well but where we sat, there were just stacks and stacks of boxes of drinks against the wall. lol it wasn't in our way or anything but it just messed with the view and the vibe of the place. So whereas half of our party had a nice view of the restaurant with the lights and window and other patrons, my half of the group stared at our party against stacked boxes behind them. Overall, food was good, and I had a great time here. I would come back to try the other items on the menu!

Jeffrey W.

Yelp
Average taste breakfast dishes, friendly staff, okey sitting. Bad coffee, coming back again..hmm

Katia P.

Yelp
Looking for a new place to try with mom. Very nice and clean. Plenty of seating. Staff was friendly and quick with service. We sat down right away with menus. Once you're ready you go to counter and order/pay. Food came out quick. The portions are large. The crepe was super sweet and full of stuff. (Berries, cereal, strawberry, ice cream, etc.). It was a lot. The omelette was good. Too much inside (which normally isn't a problem). Lots of mushrooms and spinach. Salad was just on the side. Potatoes were pretty good. The French toast was not what I expected. Extra crispy on the outside. Like deep fried. It was pretty good. My favorite was the hazelnut latte. Soooo yummy!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
I saw that this place was close to where we were staying and could fit 9 of us. This is an order at the register and then be served place. Which leave little to no table service for refills we had to get up and ask for things which is weird and they ask when you pay for the tip which is different. I lived all the pictures I saw on help. We tried multiple dishes. The Ube French toast was the best thing all 9 of us tried. The coffee is strong. The crepes are hard and you cannot cut through them. The Nashville hot chicken sounded great but it tasted like water on the inside the seasoning was on the outside and it was chewy. Most of the food was cold when it came out. It's a cute spot with a big menu. It worth the try just not sure I would go back.

Kenny W.

Yelp
This was absolutely amazing! Idk why it took me so long to try this place. We got the ube french toast and the crab Benedict. Both were all kinds of tasty. Both really great and delectable. I don't even know which 1 I liked more. Guess it would just depend on if you wanted more sweet than savory. I'm really eager to come back and see if other things on the menu are just as good. The staff was nice also.

Desiree R.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and always try to get something different. My mom got the egg salad sandwich but said it was too moist for her liking and tasted too much like mustard. I git the classic breakfast with a single pancake on the side - the potatoes were yummy. I only got 1 cherry tomato cut in half on my salad sadly. I was charged $5 for the pancake in the photo (hand there for size) - it was very small and definitely not worth $5. Besides the food, our waitress was attentive and there wasn't a wait.

Magdalena R.

Yelp
This Big yellow building, caught my eye today and we came for brunch! You order at the front, take a table number and you can sit either indoors or outdoors. Came in on Sunday at 10am, and the indoor seating was full but we were able to get a table outside. The outdoor patio had Shades, heaters and fans! With cute lights and floral decorations. The place is great for groups of 4 or less. If you have a larger party I would suggest calling ahead to reserve a table. Despite it being busy we got our food with in 15min. The House French toast definitely hits a sweet tooth!! If you are looking for something healthier the Florentine Benedict was delicious, especially if you like mushrooms and spinach! The salad was filling with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing which left me wanting more! If you want a OG breakfast with some savoriness, the croissant avocado ham sandwich did just that! I will Definitely come back to try the mimosas and more menu items!!!

Tommy L.

Yelp
Met up with my friends on a Sunday for brunch. It was a bit confusing since it almost looked like an establishment where you order and take a seat but when we went up to order, they asked that we put our name down on a waiting list given our large party size. The wait was almost an hour ! Luckily we had something to do to kill time. For food, I got the fish filet Benedict and egg coffee. We shared the ube French toast. Portions are generous and I really liked the egg coffee. It was creamy and rich. The potatoes that came with the eggs Benedict were perfectly crisp. The ube pancake didn't really taste like ube to me But I enjoyed that it was fried and crispy. I would come back!

Maria D.

Yelp
Egg coffee was good not too sweet. The service was friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly. We had ordered drinks but they brought out cold waters without asking which was pretty awesome. The Ube French toast was hot crispy had a nice about of Ube filing. Overall it was just right now too sweet. I tried some of the Nashville chicken and it was nice and crispy with a pretty runny egg with a solid hollandaise sauce. Would definitely one back again to try other items. The decor was nice and clean I did like the wallpaper as well

Ivy Q.

Yelp
Yummy breakfast with a unique twist to some of the breakfast items! Came on a Friday morning about 30 mins after opening. Not busy, quick service. It is a order & pay first, then served to your table if you chose to dine in. Has indoor seating & I believe I peeped a patio seating. Prices were expensive but I guess maybe that's the life of SoCal. - Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe: just know that my boyfriend fucked it up & devoured it. He enjoyed this crepe with a side of ice cream at 8:30am lol. -Kimchi Spam Omelet: lots of kimchi in the omelet and not a whole lot of spam. It was good though!! Kimchi was a perfect pungent and spice was great. Loved that the dish came with a side of potatoes, salad, and toast! My potatoes were a nice texture. It's like eating crispy French fries. - Egg Coffee: an item that is trendy right now. It was coffee topped with like thick egg foam. It made the coffee creamy and the foam top is sweet!

Lily M.

Yelp
Nice cute brunch spot! I came in for Sunday brunch a couple months back & had they had a great music selection playing! Was greeted with a friendly smile which was nice. It tried their toffee banana French toast which personally was a bit to sweet for my liking but I look forward to going back & try something else off the menu! Overall it's a cute brunch spot I definitely recommend checking out if you're in the area :)

Wilson L.

Yelp
Parking: Popping Yolk Cafe is located in a decent sized plaza and shares a parking lot with several other restaurants and stores. There is usually plenty of space for parking. Exterior: There are tables outside in the alley between the two buildings for outdoor dining. There is a canopy over it so it is relatively shady. Interior: There are several tables inside for indoor seating. Everything is pretty clean and aesthetically pleasing. Service: Everyone was pretty nice. You order at the cashier first and then find a table to sit at. They will bring the food to you. Food: We ordered the Smoked Salmon Omelette, Mango Habanero Chicken Omelette, Ube French Toast, Hazelnut Latte, and the Egg Coffee (only comes iced). First off, let me say that the omelettes were huge. One order can probably be shared between 2-3 people. The Mango Habanero Chicken Omelette was my favorite out of the two. Both omelettes were packed with filling and I actually wished there was a bit more egg but overall they were pretty good. The Ube French Toast was crispy and not as sweet as I expected. I would definitely recommend it if you like ube.

Tina P.

Yelp
I have only been here teice and it's delicious. I ordered the smoked salmon croissant and really enjoyed it, but the egg in there can get things really messy. The green tea drink was very refreshing. Great service here as well. This place can get crowded in the weekends, but the waitor was very attentive and polite.

Sydney C.

Yelp
This place has always been a go-to brunch spot in the sgv area! Plus, they have an aesthetic floral outdoor area!! They have all the brunch essentials, including fluffy ube pancakes, french toasts, omelettes, crepes, eggs benefict sandwiches, & so much more! LOVED how attentive & quick customer service was! Highly recommend :)) Orders: Norwegian Benedict, Nashville hot chicken benedict, & ube pancake stack

Sean Z.

Yelp
With the yolk yellow building, it sticks out of the entire plaza. The place offers outdoor and indoor seatings. The service requires you to order and pay at the counter. They will give you a number stand, and the server will bring the food to your table. I don't like this system, because you are tipping blindly. Unless you tip by cash after the meal. The dining area yielded some grease trap smell; not too bad, I have smelled worse than this one. The dining area was clean with light color decor. The food was served in a timely manner. Most plates are served with a portion of salad and potato cubes like fries. The taste was good, not the best, but decent. The price is slightly on the high side, you can easily spend up to $20+ with tip and tax. Overall, it's a good place to dine, but not my first choice. It's a 3.8 out of 5.

Kristina M.

Yelp
Sunday brunch with family and decided to give Popping Yolk a try. There wasn't any available seating inside so we sat in their patio. It wasn't anything special for outdoor seating and there were a lot of flies out there. We enjoyed our Norwegian Benedicts very much. The potato's were crispy and delicious too. My daughter said her barbecue pulled pork Benedict was good too. It was only the pancake that we did not enjoy. It was so dense and hard that it was inedible. The service was average, since they only bring your food out to you because we order at a register before seating ourselves.

Yelp
Popping Yolk Cafe was recommended to me by a friend to try. The food there was delicious and the service was great! The waiter was very attentive and gave my partner a free refill on her orange juice which I thought was very nice. They also gave us a variety of sauces to try with our food. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict and it was very filling. If you like spicy, I recommend getting the spiciest level as mine wasn't hot enough for me personally. I would recommend to others looking for a brunch place to try!

Yelp
This is actually my favorite brunch spots in town. It's not like your traditional sit down and order restaurant because you have to order first and wait for your food. There is an outside and inside seating option. Great place to bring your dog if you do decide to eat outside. Love that it's dog friendly . I believe I've tried everything g they have on their menu already. Great place to start your day or simply a great place to hang and eat with your friends.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday around 11am and waited about 15 mins. I ordered their Florentine egg Benedict and latte. Both were good. The ingredients were fresh. The latte is more on the milky/creamy side. The inside is clean and good for taking photos. I would recommend this place for brunch.

Yelp
You can't miss a yellow orange building and sign. Parking is easy. You order up front first. But you are allowed to be seated first if you need more time deciding what to get. Here on a Sunday morning and ordered the following: Salmon Omelette, Nashville Chicken Benedict and Ube French Toast. My thoughts: 1. Salmon Omelette: wanted to try a different way eating salmon. huge portion! Mixed with spinach and mushrooms. Served with a side of cubed fries, toast and spinach salad. Flavor is on the bland side but I don't mind a reminder of healthy. 2. Nashville Chicken Benedict: there is an option to choose spicy level and went for mild. Portion size is generous, eggs are medium well, chicken flavor is just perfect, chef's kiss! Served with a side of spinach salad and cubed fries. A perfect breakfast combo! Pure genius and the taste is so so delicious! 3. Ube French Toast: this is what really caught my eye when looking for breakfast places nearby on Yelp and made it a goal to definitely try it. Served with a side of blueberries, whipped cream and sprinkled with coconut flakes. Looks like a new breakfast spot has been discovered! Will definitely return

Yelp
Quaint little breakfast spot. The building it bright egg yoke color. Gotta love it. It is a little different, you sit down and look at your menu . Then you get up to place your order. Ordered a matcha latte, which it is called a green tea latte. Nice and smooth. We had gotten a strawberry berry crepe and shared popcorn chicken. Yes, a bit strange... but, when you want the best of both worlds you share. If you want a great little breakfast place. This is the place. They may open later since I saw hamburgers on the menu. Which would mean I will need to come back and try this place again.

Yelp
I drive by this place all the time and finally decided to stop by for brunch yesterday. They have a great selection of food especially Benedict's and French toast. We got the Nashville hot chicken Benedict and Ube French toast. You order and pay first and then sit down to eat. They have an outdoor patio area in addition to the inside seats. It was a hot day and their AC must have had a hard time keeping up because it was a little warm inside and they had fans going. It was tolerable and I actually didn't notice it much. They do have a long table that would fit around 8-10 people so if you have a big group just know they can accommodate. Service was good, they brought the food out and checked on us if we needed anything throughout the meal. The Nashville Benedict was really good and the portion was generous. Would be able to share with someone. The ube French toast was delicious!!! It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely not a soggy French toast. Overall would recommend!!

Yelp
I got the Norwegian Benedict, my boyfriend got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and we split the Toffee Banana Crepe. I really enjoyed the Benedict and liked that the hollandaise sauce wasn't super thick. The chicken sandwich was also really good. I didn't enjoy the crepe but my boyfriend did. The service was efficient and the servers were friendly. The inside of the restaurant was nice and clean, but just a little loud.

Yelp
Amazing food, quality was excellent. Service was great! Highly recommend this spot. Doesn't look like it's fully known yet so less wait! Overall 10/10! Perfect casual brunch date!

Yelp
Came by for some takeaway brekkie so I could eat while watching the Hacienda Heights 4th of July parade. I wasn't sure if it was open for the holiday but it was! Yay! The girl greeting me was super nice and helped me immediately. Saw the new offering of Ube French toast and had to get it! Soo good! Ube filling sandwiched in between two slices of bread, fried to perfection and topped with coconut, syrup, and condensed milk. It's a bit oily since it's deep fried but it is yum. I also picked up the horchata latte and it was perfect, not too sweet, not too strong. Another 5 star experience!
