"This drive-thru kiosk in a Rancho Bernardo parking lot might be the smallest shop on the list, but it sets itself apart with scratch-made boba, fresh fruit, and homemade syrups that flavor its cleverly-named drinks like the Thank You Berry Matcha with housemade strawberry jam and the Looking Gourdeous with caramelized winter melon and green tea. The stand also serves snacks like banh mi and steamed buns." - Candice Woo

I highly recommend Poppy Boba for any catering needs! I worked with them for my wedding reception this past November, and the drinks and snacks were a huge hit. We ordered a variety of drinks and snacks, and everything went smoothly without any major issues. The owner was incredibly communicative, responding quickly and providing straightforward pricing. She went above and beyond by adjusting the sweetness and adding extra lychee flavor to the "I, Really Lychee You" drink after our initial tasting. While we didn’t get to try the nem nuong musubi beforehand, we’re so glad we trusted her recommendation—they disappeared within minutes! Thank you, Poppy Boba, for being part of our special day and for your outstanding customer service!

Google
Really tasty Banh Mi and drinks!! The highlight is definitely the pricing, the Banh Mi was $10 and the drink was about $5 :)

Google
This is our favorite Boba shop, and the staff are so sweet! Just knocking a star because there have been numerous instances where they should have been open but weren't. It would help if hours were correctly reflected online

Google
My most exciting new discovery. Saw it yesterday while transporting a patient on our ambulance and literally drove back after the call to get some because I’m a fiend for boba. I got the lychee jasmine tea with boba and OH MY. So good and immediately obsessed that I came back after shift this morning and got 2 drinks and some bao buns (because I’m a wannabe-on my way to be overweight lady lol) and finished it all. I got the lychee jasmine tea again with boba (still my absolute favorite and I can’t get enough), and then the Jamaica me crazy one with jelly. Then the breakfast and the pork boas. I scarfed them down too. Safe to say I’ll be spending all my money here.

I’m really impressed by this super cute drive-through boba shop. You might think their price is not cheap but when you know what do they use for your drinks, you will agree it is totally worthy. They do all their things from scratch, all natural ingredients. All the drinks’ milk is lactose-free 2% fat fresh milk! Is that impressive? I never see any other shops do that. Their tapioca balls are made by themselves only with 3 ingredients. If you like matcha, they also have matcha tapioca balls, so yummy! The drink I had is Game Set Matcha with matcha tapioca balls, the flavor is black sesame with matcha, it is definitely so delicious. I totally 💯 recommend this place. Also you can choose your sweet level!

Google
Cool concept. Love the names of the drinks. Tasted average. I may have to order something different. The boba just doesn’t live up to the hype. I just expected more. I may come back and try something different.

Google
The drink I got was expensive and tasted very mediocre. I ordered an avocado and black sesame smoothie but couldn’t taste any avocado flavor. The boba was still hard in the middle. The drink was probably 22 oz and it costs $7.35 (the prices on the menu at the time were not updated!) plus $1 extra for boba. So it came out to be $9 after tax! For a boba smoothie! I know inflation is a lot but this is a bit too much, especially when the quality is 2 out of 10 and they don’t even have an actual store, just a small kiosk so the overhead costs shouldn’t be that much compared to a shop!

Lemon grass tofu, Delicious! It has jalapeños, it’s good for me. I like the pork, but because they were out of pork, I decided to try something new. Totally opposite ends from pork. It was good.

Yelp
Poppy Boba in San Diego offers a unique and fun take on the traditional boba experience. The drive-through setup adds a playful twist to grabbing your favorite drinks. I found the concept really charming--it's not every day you see a boba stand designed for drive-through service. The stand itself is small and easy to navigate, making the ordering process smooth and efficient. I'm not the biggest fan of brown sugar boba which is all they have. Everything tasted just okay too, it wasn't the best boba I've had nor the best spam musubi either but it's decent if you're in a pinch. Overall, it's a great option if you're looking for something quick and different.

Yelp
We were in the area waiting for our food and we wanted something to drink. I found this place through Yelp. We weren't sure what to order since we had never been here. We showed the girl a few pictures we found in the Yelp pictures and she immediately knew what drinks they were. She helped us customize them a bit more to our preferred taste and what we were craving. We were the only customers at this time which allowed us to talk to her and not feel rushed. The music was playing at a low volume which I'm sure helped them pass the time when they were slow.

Yelp
Been coming here since 2021. Not too far off the freeway in either direction off the I-15. Drive through hut with windows on both sides. Love the I really lychee you, Jamaica me crazy and the Thank you Berry Matcha. Love the house made boba toppings; brown sugar, grass jelly and crystal boba. Bao Buns are tasty and ask for the house made hot sauce! Love the fact this is woman owned and operated. The owner has served me plenty of times and she's very personable. Lately the hut has been closed. Not sure of this location is closing? Please stay open! We love you and the variety!

Yelp
Super quick and friendly service! The drink was delicious and they helped me with my dairy allergy which I appreciated.

Wendy P.

Yelp
I'm so sad that this business has closed. Just spoke to an employee clearing out the place. Where am I going to get my avocado black sesame smoothie with egg pudding and lactose free milk (at no extra charge) now? Please open another location! :(.....

Kim L.

Yelp
Love the all natural concept and no syrup artificial flavor! Pricier side compare to other boba places. Simple drive thru and no frills. Friendly staff.

Glen G.

Yelp
Never a miss with this boba shop. It's the only place open in the morning for Vietnamese Ice Coffee and boba. I usually get the slushes and taro milk tea on the weekends. Service is always great and fast!

Sha M.

Yelp
My kids & I are obsessed with this place. I always tip $5 or more, no matter my order. All the kids that work there are friendly, work hard & run the stand well. I believe I've met the owner a couple of times. I hope she finds a way to bring back the vermicelli bowls. Those were my favorite! Everything is good! We have literally tried almost everything on the menu by now!

Ashlee G.

Yelp
We ordered house milk tea with brown sugar boba, cold brew jasmine tea and Hass If! Smoothie (avocado smoothie with brown sugar boba). The bobas tasted gross. The milk tea was watered down and the brown sugar boba was overpowering. The avocado smoothie tasted like over riped avocados. My husband and toddler both spit out their drinks after the first sip. Not worth the money.

Izzy H.

Yelp
This place is so delicious! I love their Bahn Mi's and all their drinks, and the staff is so kind. They're diligent, and hardworking, and fast while still giving me a delicious drink. No photo because I ate and drank my order before I could even think of taking a photo

Niloufar G.

Yelp
I was so excited for drive through Boba place! Have a pretty good menu and lots of choices! My husband got Tiger mom, and loved it! I got the Honey I do , which is yummy, Honey melon with milk. I kind of liked it. It was not the best. Even though they make their own boba every morning, which I was excited about, the boba was not my fav. The texture was not great and just okay. But overall the service was super friendly, and nice. Probably will try this place one more time and try another drink and give it another try!

Jeff R.

Yelp
Boba made from scratch! Our favs are Thank You Berry Matcha + I Really Lychee You. Owner super friendly too!

Aleijra H.

Yelp
Their pork bao and Japanese egg sandwich are my absolute favorite things to order!! Their drinks are so delicious and their staffing is sweet and courteous! I love their drive through and the ease of ordering, would recommend 10/10!

Yelp
Sorry I'm leaving two stars. This is probably the second worst tasting Thai tea I've had. The color was off. I know it's just food coloring. But the taste wasn't there either. It taste more like black tea. Idk what creamer/milk they use, but it was watery. I asked for condensed milk in it. I didn't know it would sink to the bottom. Why would they do that? Shouldn't it get blended in? Price was fair. I really like that it's a cute kiosk in the middle of a shopping center. It offers the convenience of driving up. Drive thru boba shop. Service was really good. Two young kids who are super nice and helpful. But I'm sorry, I just couldn't drink this. They offer a free topping with yelp check in. So because they're really nice people and the check in perk, I'm leaving three stars. Thanks for the great service. But I probably won't be back. Still waiting on my refund.

Stephen M.

Yelp
The Bahn Mi are delicious. The bread is crunch and fresh. Great service. Prices are reasonable. This place is great!

Yelp
Came here to have some Burmese food in this small shopping strip. I spotted this interesting building when I turned into this spot to have a Burmese lunch with a group of gals. I decided to "drive thru" this cafe. After the Burmese lunch that I had. It's super cute cafe! I learned it's a "Vegan" boba cafe. All natural, no artificial ingredients anything. I order two boba drinks. But they looked exactly the same when they passed the drink to me while I waited inside my car parked by this "drive thru." One is caramelized brown sugar boba & the other one is Thai ice tea with boba. Well, the caramelized just tastes like watery sugar. The Thai tea was tastier. I also order a Bao & Thai street peanuts. As I drove away after receiving my order, I overheard her conversation with her coworker that the reason after she taken my order, she shut her window on me, because (her wildly paranoia) she thought I tried to get into her window?!! I know she heard about the craziness of recently news of some man tried to drag some poor woman who work in a drive thru into his truck. And I praised her to think of me that I looked that strong?! In fact, I hardly have upper strength ever to pull anyone anything, being handicapped and all. Anyways. But I will passed in my future for this spot. I don't need to stopped in and getting accused about "dragging some woman into my car!" Over someone else's overly played out imaginations!! Maybe after all the craziness die down. Or she can work in a safer environment as she think anyone who going through a drive thru May "grabs" her out of her window ?!!?!!! Anyways it was an interesting experience. Not to be repeated by any single driver to come thru this place. Or else you may faces the same ordeal as me. Thank you.

Yelp
This place is still our favorite place to go for boba drinks! We also used them for catering service for my kids' birthday parties too! Kids loved helping themselves with some cool boba drinks when they were thirsty. The boba always tastes so fresh with great chewy texture. Make sure you sign up for their customer perks too! Who doesn't like a free boba drink on your birthday? Woohoo!

Mary M.

Yelp
Soooooo... I've never given 1 star before, nor have I ever received boba in a regular drink cup with a lid. How the heck was I supposed to shake everything up, I had to pour it back and forth into another container. I already had a bad experience before with tasteless watered-down milk tea, and sadly, nothing has changed. I threw away the last one. One sip, and this went into the trash as well. There are two other boba places in RB now, and I was really rooting for Poppy. Sadly, for the same price, I will go to another place.

Yelp
We last minute wanted to do bánh mì catering for late night snacks at our wedding. We reached out to them about 2 weeks before the wedding and they were so awesome and accommodating to work with. We ended up getting grilled pork and chicken ones and they were an absolute hit. People were hoarding them too! I highly recommend working with them for your catering needs.

Yelp
I was too busy doing DIY stuff (remove and replace an over the range microwave) and completely lost track of time...as usual. Since I was exhausted, I just wanted something quick and light that I wouldn't have to leave the car to pickup. I drive up to Poppy Kitchen craving a simple ban mi and was sad to see that the item was no longer in the menu. =( I quickly ordered spring rolls and settled for a rice plate with grilled pork. The staff were friendly and quickly prepared my order. Amazed to see three people crammed inside the small shop during my visit. I ripped open the bag with my food as soon as I got home! The Rice Plate with Pork was surprisingly good, considering that I know the meat was microwaved. You can tell the pork was grilled well prior because it was still juicy when it got into my plate. The fresh veggies served with this dish were good. Not a wilted item in sight--greatly appreciated! Sadly, my spring rolls were not as good as my last visits. I like how these rolls were thicker than usual, but admittedly the noodles were not very fresh and a bit hard. A couple of my shrimp were a bit still as well. I like how the peanut sauce is much thicker (I.e. more traditional) than with my prior visits. I respect the fact this is a quick-serve drink joint that serves a limited menu of food items that are decently prepared, which are perfect for someone always on the run like I usually find myself. Overall, I still remain a fan of Poppy's Kitchen! The quick-serve food items keep me coming back. Maybe one of these visits I will actually try some drinks. Haha.

Yelp
First time here and we noticed the drive thru area was really narrow, it's hard to maneuver if you have a huge truck/SUV. The boba itself was fine, soft and chewy, and the girls were nice. Both drinks tasted watered down, it's still sweet but at the same time it's bland. The house black milk tea tastes very floral, my son didn't like it, which is weird, unless they gave us the wrong milk tea probably jasmine tea?

John H.

Yelp
The Thank you berry matcha is my go to. You can taste real tea and the bobas are always refectory chewy. The drive thru is perfect for me, as I always have kids in the backseat. They like the strawberry smoothie and lychee drink. Coming back soon, PBC!

Monica W.

Yelp
Been here twice now and tried different things every time. This place is very conveniently located for me and is drive-thru! What surprised me about the drive-thru is how quickly they are able to provide a few drinks for me, knowing how long it can take at other places. I also think this is the only boba milk tea in the RB area and despite them being the only ones, all my experiences with Poppy's have been fantastic. The milk tea with brown sugar boba rocked my world last time and I have been wanting more of it. The blend between milk and tea was perfect for me and I could tell the boba were freshly made and unique, packed with flavor. This was a very unique, wholesome flavor that I think is better than the standard boba offered at other boba places. Today I got the same thing but I tried crystal boba instead of the brown sugar boba. Not a fan of the crystal boba but I was expecting something more like the brown sugar boba and not so much the sweetness, which clashed with the black milk tea. My fault. I also tried the strawberry matcha milk tea with matcha boba and-- OH MY GOODNESS. I may have discovered a new favorite. Wow. The flavors are incredible and balance each other out very well. The matcha boba really gives it the 1-2 punch to the palate as well and I have never seen this boba flavor offered elsewhere. My other favorite detail are the cups. They offer the re-sealable lid and are extremely sturdy with attractive labeling. Overall for my experiences a 5/5. I will be back. Will have to try the pork banh mi next time too!

Zana K.

Yelp
Poppy Kitchen Boba Cafe is located in the same drive thru as where Greens Please used to be. Its super small but convenient. The girls that helped me were very nice and great at recommendations. I got the "I really Lychee you" drink which is green tea and lychee i believe and I also added some crystal boba to it. It tasted amazing and comes with fresh lychee inside it!! I would 100% come back just for that drink. The food was okay. The chicken in the banh mi was average not the best, but the veggies kinda saved it for me. Still no where near as good of a banh Mi that ive had at other places. Overall wouldnt buy it again. Also the spring rolls were also just okay. The rice paper was really hard in some areas indicating that theyve been pre-made and sitting out for awhile. The peanut sauce is really good though! But unfortunately wouldnt order these again either. For all three items I payed around $20. Overall not bad at all but nothing spectacular. Id probably only come back to try their other drinks because that lychee one was awesome!!

Jailen T.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick drink, wasn't quite sure what to expect. I ordered their milk tea boba. The boba isn't the normal black ball tapiocas it's a crystal type boba. Not too chewy but not hard either, still enjoyable. The milk tea isn't your traditional black milk tea but I kinda like it, it's a light tea flavor not a strong brew. I wanted to get the bao but it wasn't the bao I was hoping for, their bao is a steamed bun like siopao. If you're looking for a traditional boba place I may wouldn't recommend this but it's still worth a try. This isn't my first choice for boba, but I do hope to come back and try other menu items!

Jacob V.

Yelp
I order a Thai Tea, and I love that this is all homemade and stuff, but it did not taste like Thai tea even a bit. Had a more of a milk with ice flavor. I would also recommend asking for no-ice. That's me though.

Audrey P.

Yelp
Gave this cute little drive up a try as I was looking for something new and different. Called ahead and ordered a pork porridge, Bahn mi sandwich and a boba tea. I did a pick up and everything came out on time. They brought my order out to the car. When I got home and opened up my order I couldn't believe my eyes. That was the biggest sandwich I have ever seen in my life! It was somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 inches! Everything was delicious (especially the sandwich)! I will definitely be back and I recommend these delicious sandwiches.

Yelp
We were in the mid for a celebratory Boba, but didn't have time to travel to our favorite spot so decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. We ordered the mango green tea and the lychee teas, both with boba. What we received was so disappointing. There was barely any boba in either drink, and the brown sugar boba was bland and was like chewing on chalk. And the tease barely had any flavor in them. As you can tell from the picture, barely any boba and a heavily watered-down color. Both drinks were the same in quality, and my daughter ended up throwing hers out. To add to the insult, the girl at the register asked how much I wanted to add for a tip. Please don't ask that. If someone wants to tip you, they will. What she did was put me on the spot, and I felt cornered and so I tipped her for two drinks that were already $17. Ridiculous. And she couldn't even make the drinks correct for that. Never coming here again and not recommending it.

Angela B.

Yelp
YUM YUM YUM! My daughter and I were driving by and this little boba stand caught my eye. I love boba and just started introducing my daughter to it. We pulled up to a very friendly and helpful server. I asked for recommendations and boy did she come through! My daughter wanted something strawberry so she recommended and we ordered the #5 The Last Straw which is homemade strawberry jam with jasmine green tea! We added brown sugar boba! I ordered the #7 Thai tanic which is Thai tea and spices. I also added brown sugar boba. OMG these were SO DELICIOUS I want to go back tomorrow and get MORE but I love 50 mins away so I'll have to wait. I highly recommend you give this little gem a try. You won't regret it!

Kaelin A.

Yelp
Sad to report but this place was not it for me. I saw this place and decided to give it a try since it looked like a convenient spot to get some boba! You don't gotta get out of the car. I ordered a Jasmine milk tea with boba. This was the most watered down milk tea I have ever had in my entire life. I was so disappointed. The boba also tasted old and not sweet at all. I ended up throwing my drink out. For $6.40 you should enjoy your drink. Sad but I won't return. It is a very convenient idea for a boba shop, maybe their other drinks are better.

Becky P.

Yelp
The kiosk is adorable, the menu has plenty of delicious and cute-named selections, and I've only ever had amazing experiences here! I literally drive 30+ minutes because of the house-made handcrafted nature of everything. If you want factory artificial flavors, go somewhere else. This place is boutique. Service is amazing, especially Yen (the owner!!) I really love her; she is so personable and full of recommendations. Because of her I tried the egg pudding in my drink. She just knew I'd love it because I did!! Appreciate the craft!!

Sophie A.

Yelp
If you're ordering anything but coffee, prepare to wait a while. Also, for a mocha +1 extra shot was $8.00!! That formally beats out Starbucks and for smaller size cup. May want to provide just a bit better value considering

Kristine T.

Yelp
We ordered food to go last night and my husband picked it up. Was very intrigued by the drive thru boba concept and the homemade boba. SERVICE - If you order online and choose curbside, they bring your order to you. The woman that helped was very kind. FOOD Pork Bao Buns - These were okay. Good chunk of meat filling. The buns were soft but a little on the soggy side. Maybe because they were contained in a plastic container and the moisture soaked into the buns. Pork Banh Mi - I was excited for these but they fell short. The pork was very dry. I come from a Vietnamese background so we eat banh mi all the time. The filling in these was all there but the pork left me longing for a lot of water. It was a bit difficult to get down. Jasmine Milk Green Tea + House Green Tea w Brown Sugar Boba - We got both drinks. The tea was very fresh and you could tell it was not powder. The homemade boba was not exactly your typically boba ball shape but they were made well. Nice chew to it. Could not taste the brown sugar flavor though? Overall, unique concept of a drive thru and homemade boba. The food was okay and the drinks were solid.

Monica H.

Yelp
It's tiny but it's mighty! We had the Mo'reo please and the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both were so good! The Mo'reo was creamy and had an Oreo in it! The Vietnamese coffee was a great pick me up. We also had the chance to order the grilled chicken bahn mi and I regret not getting two. Costumer service was 1000/10. If you get the chance, give it a try!

Michelle N.

Yelp
5 stars for the Thank you berry matcha drink with brown sugar boba. 3.5 stars for the grilled pork banh mi. Was super excited to see that there was a drive thru boba in the area ! I found this place easily and drove up. The employee took my order and let me know how long it would take and that I could wait at the window if no other cars drove up. I let her know that I would park. Another employee brought me my order (2 grilled pork banh mi and one thank you berry matcha with brown sugar boba) when it was ready. The drink was really good- you can still taste matcha and the strawberry without one overpowering the other. I LOVED the boba, had a sweetness to it and good chew. The pork was really tasty but felt like the bread could have been better and something felt missing on the sandwich. Maybe a little bit more mayo ? Next time I'm in the area I want to try their bao and taro drink. One thing I wish I the employee had asked me was what type of milk I wanted for the drink, I completely forgot they had different types.

Pasha R.

Yelp
Super chill place. Yummy chicken bao and drinks. I got the taro cards and mom went for Thai titanic. Very nice staff!

Emmett T.

Yelp
A drive-thru kiosk for boba tea and Vietnamese snacks... that's a novel concept as it's usually coffee and hot tea being dispensed from such a setup. Poppy Kitchen Boba Cafe is located at the Plaza at Rancho Bernardo across the street from Pearl Chinese Cuisine. I liked how both sides had service windows that could accept orders so it didn't matter which direction your vehicle was coming from. The menu featured three snacks (banh mi, spring rolls, bao buns), seven milk teas, six iced teas, four coffees, and three smoothies/slushes. I wanted a set of spring rolls to go with my beverage, but they were unavailable. I settled for a Grilled Pork banh mi and an I Really Lychee You iced tea with brown sugar boba. The topping was free for a check-in. The drink came with a spear of three lychees immersed in jasmine green tea. The flavor was okay, but the tea profile wasn't very strong. On the other hand, the banh mi sandwich exceeded my expectations in terms of size and quality for $6. It was pork slices in a baguette sandwich with pork pâté, kewpie, mayo, cilantro, jalapeño, Maggi, pickled carrots, and daikon. Overall, I gave my drive-thru experience a 3.5 star rating.

Arnel D.

Yelp
Drive thru boba! They offer banh mi too! Price, value, selection... nobody comes close.

Ally C.

Yelp
I love being a foodie...you never know where the cravings are going to take you. I've been eyeing this boba place for a couple of months now, and today I finally got a chance to try them out. It's a cute little kiosk, with drive up windows. They have drinks, as well as food options, which I am always excited to see. There were two cars ahead of me in the line, when I noticed the employee walking out to my car. Her name was Emar, and she was wanting to get started on our drink choices. She was very personable, and saw how excited I was about trying Poppy's for the first time. She broke down all drinks, made suggestions for my son and I, and shared some of her favorites. As I was driving back to Temecula, I needed food that was fast, and that I could eat in the car. I chose the Char-siu Bao buns, some Thai roasted peanuts, and the yummiest lemon cookies! Everything was delish and made me wish I had ordered more. My drink was especially good, I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, iced with boba. My son got a honeydew melon drink with boba, but I can't remember the name for that one. :-) Emar really made the visit special. She and another employee gave us excellent customer service, we drove away very pleased with the experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Probably the best boba I've ever had. I'm serious. THE BEST BOBA I'VE EVER HAD. This includes both of our coasts, Hawaii and Asia. Who would have thought this tiny little hut in Rancho Bernardo across the street from my hotel that I drove by saying, "haha a boba the hut place" would make my boba dreams come true? Now if they could please please please open a location in Las Vegas, my life would be complete. Ok... so why was this boba that good? First, they have an awesome variety of items, including seasonal/test kitchen stuff. Great mix of flavors and nicely brewed tea. I'm pretty sure they use mostly fresh ingredients. The taro tea I ordered literally had gritty pieces of taro in it (that's not a bad thing), instead of that artificial flavor you usually get. Also, this fresh boba! I've never had it. I didn't know boba could be so soft with a nice satisfying chew and that it could actually taste fresh and amazing. Seriously, I wish I could drive thru this place every day. Open one in Vegas! LOL!!!

Amma C.

Yelp
Drive-thru boba! Went to Poppy Kitchen's soft opening to try out their second location. It's located in between Carl's Jr. and Jack in the Box off of Bernardo Center Drive. You can order from both sides although the side coming from Carl's Jr./Lomica seemed to be the one less travelled. The drinks are all cleverly named like Thai Tanic and Hass If! so of course we had to try the Taro Cards and Game Set Matcha boba adding green tea boba as my topping of choice. The menu had interesting drink combos and the boba drinks also come in one size. If you're hungry, you can order food such as banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls or bao.

Pam B.

Yelp
New place that took over the coffee drive through. Super nice group, but I'm probably going to wait for them to work out their rhythm. All out of brown sugar boba for my order. Was supposed to get Crystal Boba but got lychee jelly. Thai tea didn't really taste like Thai tea, wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. Price was reasonable and cup was cute.

Bella J.

Yelp
I thought this spot was adorable. The gal working was so kind and the drinks were tasty! I always want Boba tea when I'm out driving between San Diego and LA and it always seems to take so long, but this spot was speedy and tasty! I got the Tiger milk drink and loved it and the horchata was so good too! Love this concept so cute!!

J E.

Yelp
The first time I pulled up no one ever came to the window. There are two sides and I realized later the person inside tends to prefer the West window. They were open they just didn't see me and the window was closed so they didn't here me. The second time I got a Milk Tea Boba and some hot pork buns. The Boba was unlike any if the dozen or more Boba places I have ever been. I threw out half of it, even though I was thirsty and craved caffeine. Usually I will drink 2 large milk tea bobas. Not sure what the taste was. Sadly the buns were not much better. I ate both but one had a hard part, like cartilage or something that I spat out. Would not recommend.

Yelp
******SIX STAR REVIEW!!!!!! Joshua, Andrea and Isai are exceptionally gifted baristas!!!!!! The Vietnamese style coffee they serve here is incredibly delicious, delightful and perfect, every time we visit. Their noteworthy service with smiles is absolutely positively fabulous. They are righteous people creating righteous things. They are Superstars. I also like the fact that Josh is a fellow "Chevy Guy" and his knowledge of engines, superchargers, racing and performance is next gen and phenomenal. It's a real treat to break away from our normal daily coffee routine and come here. My wife and I are now regulars at this Poppy Boba Cafe location, in good old Rancho Bernardo proper!!!!!! I give my highest recommendations!!!!!! Thanks again!!!!!! VRS "JJ"

Yelp
Love the spirited energy of the folks inside the cafe ! Had two of their fruit slushes. Both were awesome, a little bit on the sweeter side, but don't know if that was their secret sauce.
