Poppy Cakes

I ordered some cookies for my son's birthday these were the best frosted cookies I've had the perfect amount of sweet with the icing and the cookie itself was so delicious and buttery loved every single bite!

We are so excited to support this beautiful local business. Their treats are so thoughtfully made and delicious. Their storefront is fresh and the interior is a place you want to stop and stay awhile with friends. We hope to come here often and are excited to take family and friends there during the warmer summer months too! Congratulations on the new business location!

So happy to see Poppy Cakes officially open in Lake Geneva. While the outside is unassuming, the insider decor and sweet treats are beautiful! I love the style and ambience of the store. It’s so peaceful, bright, and welcoming. The sweets case has nicely presented treats and all of them are delicious! Today I ordered a lemon cookie sammie which was filled with a creamy and not too sweet buttercream with a lemon curd center. The cookie was chewy and fresh. I also got a cinnamon roll that was still warm from the oven. The icing had a maple flavor and the bun was perfectly cooked and soft. Looking forward to coming back again soon to try more!

I was in a bind and placed a custom order for a very busy holiday weekend with less lead time than I would normally give. Poppy Cakes delivered like a champ! The cake was beautiful and delicious, and the VERY customized cake pops were exactly as requested and a smashing success! I will happily be giving Poppy Cakes my future business.

I sent a photo of these paper products to Poppy Cakes and asked them to decorate my mother in law's birthday cake to coordinate and they did an outstanding job! This cake was absolutely delicious, as was the carrot cake we got from them for Easter. Thank you!

Excellent locally owned bakery. Delicious cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cakes, etc. Wonderfully friendly staff. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the cupcakes are amazing! The decorated cakes and cookies are beautifully done. The inside (including the restroom) is clean and roomy and comfortable. We will definitely return when in the area.

The cookie decorating class was a super fun experience! Abby was a great teacher! It's definitely harder than it looks!

We love poppy cakes for the occasional treat or custom orders!! The team did a great job with the custom Schitt's Creek-theme cookies for my sister's baby shower. Ordering was easy, communication was clear, and price was competitive. Plus, their cupcakes and cinnamon rolls also stand out!! :) highly recommend!

This is such a hidden gem in Lake Geneva! I think it has opened recently because I do not remember it being there the last time I was in town. I will say it is a bit off the beaten path (in that it is about two blocks away from the lake), but we were staying at SevenOaks and it is basically next door to that! We passed it on the way walking into town and HAD to stop on the way back. It was so chic looking! Upon walking inside, everything was pristine. It looks new and shiny and bright. The employee there at the time was knowledgeable about all of the different sweets they had to offer and provided us with some recommendations. We ended up going with cupcakes. My husband got the carrot cake one and was obsessed. I got the chocolate and buttercream one (had like a "dirt" vibe to it) and was in love! I could have just had spoon fulls of the buttercream. Be sure to check them out if you are in the area! It is worth the 3 minute drive from town for sure.

Really nice variety of cupcake flavors. Bought half dozen and all 4 of us really liked ours. Cashier didn't know much about rewards program but was friendly. Suggestion: give a small discount for half dozen/dozen and get containers that fit 6 and 12. Too awkward with small containers. Overall very good!

So good! Cupcakes were delicious- cake was moist, icing was tasty. Prices reasonable. Don't hesitate to stop by!

5/5 Recommend them for anyone with a sweet tooth. They have amazing cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and more! I have yet to eat there and not enjoy it, the place is always kept clean and has plenty of room to lounge in. If your ever in Lake Geneva be sure to stop by.
