Poppy

This place is really good. Came here for a Restaurant Week Lunch deal to try it out. I ordered off the main menu and got the steak and eggs where incredible and my partner got the pasta which was delicious as well. We were more than impressed with the food that is served here as everything we ate was emmaculate in taste and flavor. Service is pretty slow but the food is worth the wait. The ambiance is fairly loud but quiter than a sports bar. Overall, great spot for top quality food for lunch or dinner in the east village!

Poppy’s was absolutely amazing!!! from the ambience to the staff to the food. Leonora, the owner, was so friendly and welcoming, and our server Caroline was incredibly sweet. They both made us feel so well taken care of. We also happened to arrive at the perfect time for the live jazz band, which added such a fun and lively atmosphere. The music was incredible and really elevated the whole experience. The mimosa flights were a highlight, with the pear being my favorite. The food was just as impressive. The chimichurri steak was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The avocado toast was spot-on, and the thick, fluffy eggs were delicious. To finish, the Dutch pancakes were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Overall, everything was outstanding. I can’t wait to go back!

This place is a gem! Came here with a close friend, wanting to talk and have good food. The drinks were stellar and the food was delicious! The bar area was loud and lively, while the dining room was peaceful and quiet. Super friendly service. This is just perfect! We had an amazing dinner. I’ll be back for sure!

FABULOUS new neighborhood restaurant. A MUST to visit - the staff were so kind, helpful, and lovely - cheers to Amanda & Kai. The food was excellent. And it was great sitting outside watching all the young people out on a Saturday night, then inside for late happy hour (11pm - 1am 20% off a bottle of wine) and music! The FOOD was better than expected, and I will go back. The beef sliders and goats cheese tart to begin were great, but the cod was superb. I took home my bread & butter pudding and enjoyed it the next day 😃

We stopped by Poppy for brunch and had an absolutely amazing experience! The ambience is a perfect 10/10—chic, cozy, and welcoming. I ordered the lemon Dutch baby, and let me tell you—it was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Every bite was incredible. The whole vibe, from the service to the flavors, made this spot unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend—can’t say enough good things about it!❤️

Truly one of the best bars I have been to in New York. The drinks are made perfectly, the service is impeccable, and the food is literally unreal. Every single thing on the menu that I’ve tried is seasoned perfectly. The owners are super present, kind, and take great attention to detail. They clearly care a lot about the customer experience and are so attentive to the customers’ needs. I cannot say enough good about this place. Seriously. The aesthetic is stunning, the music is perfect for the vibe, and I’d describe it best as chic, cozy, and perfect for a great night out. Consistently good vibe, food drinks etc. Reliably good, which is all I ask for. Plan to be back frequently, they have a regular in me!

I went to a famous restaurant in Tribeca and all I could think about was how the cocktails, roast chicken, salad, steak and fish were so much better at Poppy. And cheaper! And these weren’t even my favorite dishes at Poppy. Must order the zuchinni fries, the sizzling shrimp, and the poppy pot. Cocktails are outstanding. Also they just started brunch and it’s a really good value. Staff are super sweet! Jazz on Wednesday nights. It’s a gem and a destination for tapas, dinner, brunch, and hanging out.

Poppy has my heart. It is my absolute favorite local bar/restaurant. The space is unbelievably cute, with outdoor seating during good weather and a really cosy bar-restaurant area indoors. Live jazz on Wednesday nights. The cocktails are beyond compare as is the food, the service is stellar - the place exudes the kind of warmth and consistency that you look for in your go-to neighborhood spot. Everything on the menu is amazing but if you’re a roast chicken fan they serve the absolute best roast chicken I’ve ever had. The Atlantic cod is also great. Unlike in a lot of restaurants, their (crunch) salad is not just a mountain of baby greens. It’s chock full of yummy stuff from snow peas to asparagus and the dressing is divine. Don’t miss the Poppy-pot, either. The oxtail sliders are to die for, as is the goat cheese and caramelised onion tart, the grilled shrimp, the arancini. The zucchini chips are an absolute must - you have never had zucchini like this. And if you’re a fan of french fries theirs are the absolute best. I have yet to make it to brunch but I can’t wait. Basically you cannot go wrong at Poppy!
