Saturday morning I woke up with a hankering for a bagel. Not just any bagel with a slab of cream cheese, - no, I wanted something with egg and meat. So, my husband and I decided to order breakfast via UberEats. We chose Poppy's Bagels. It was our first time. My husband ordered a wrap while I, I ordered a magnificent, delicious, mouthwatering thing they call an Eggs Benedict Bagel.
I waited with patience and excitement and hunger for the masterpiece to arrive. And then it came. I opened the bag, pulled out the warm, foil-wrapped bundle, and tenderly began to unwrap it to reveal... a bagel sandwich.
I was confused. It was an everything bagel like I ordered, but instead of Eggs Benedict it was egg, cheese, and deli meat ham. It was a counterfeit, a knockoff Gucci bag, a wolf in sheep's clothing. The dream was shattered.
My husband received the wrap he ordered. "It's okay. I expected more of... I don't know. It was kinda bland."
After the initial shock, disappointment, and grief, I settled and ate what they sent me. It was decent, but it wasn't an Eggs Benedict Bagel.
You done messed up A-A-Ron. 2 Stars for getting half of the order correct, and it only being half as tasty as expected.
