Poppy's Bagels LaGuardia Review - LaGuardia Airport - New York - The Infatuation

"If you want a full breakfast before an early morning flight, Poppy’s Bagels will ensure you don’t arrive at your destination hangry. Get a massive bagel sandwich loaded up with avocado, turkey, and a runny egg, or the big poppy with smoked fish, red onions and caper cream cheese. Both of those come with a side of adorable star-shaped tater tots that take you right back to your elementary school cafeteria." - Anne Cruz

Was traveling and as we were waiting for our plane, we got some breakfast. It was def on the pricer side, but I will say that we got 2 good bagels. It was so delicious that I still think about it to this day! When we were there, they seemed to have still been prepping and just opening up. They had tablets to order it yourself, but there were some issues with it so we were waiting by the register, which there was a worker there, and he did not help us out, although he noticed us. After a couple mins, they helped us out and too our order.

This is a bagel shop near the early G gates at MSP. Not a ton to write home about. Ambiance wise, it's next to a pretty busy convenience shop and there's no dedicated seating, but I don't think people expect that for an airport bagel place lol. It's fine for an airport bagel -- I like that they have some spreads i haven't seen elsewhere (lemon caper was great!). Only con was that service was slow-ish. I had an early flight and there was only one other person in line -- it still took around 10 minutes.

My wife had Sesame Seed bagel with Avocado spread. I was struggling with kiosk so the the manager, Sierra, walked me through it. She was very friendly and helpful. Her pleasant demeanor was absolutely appreciated.

This is one place at the airport where you can get a meal for around $5. I ordered a plain bagel with butter without expecting much, but it turned out to be so good that I pulled out Google Maps! I’m shocked that it is so underrated. I’d be talking about this bagel when I’m back in NYC.

It looked nice/clean and I appreciated the self-ordering on touch screen. The bagels were decent but the ‘schmear’ was majorly lacking. Partway through our flight I was excited to have a late breakfast and it was super disappointing.

This is a pretty decent quick breakfast. I went with a turkey, egg, and avocado sandwich (on everything bagel), and by airport standards, it was a good sandwich. I'd probably choose this place again next time I'm in this terminal, compared to the other options nearby. There's kiosk ordering, which was pretty quick and efficient, and you could make modifications to the menu items (which you don't always get the luxury of doing at airport places). I was happy.

The WORST bagels in my life. Such a rip off for such horrible bagels. The smallest bagels ever, VERY little salmon, just traces of cream cheese and all that after huge wait. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. $1 for extra cucumber? They give you 2 super thin slices…etc etc They said the bagels would toasted, but they were not.
