"Poppy’s Coffee is the preferred caffeine pick-me-up spot for locals, tourists, and run-down parents in Chestnut Hill.  It’s casual but not minimalist—there are charming white tables and a patio with hanging lights that spill onto the sidewalk. They have locally roasted drip coffees, espressos, lattes, and La Colombe nitro brew on tap, and we suggest adding a slice of pound cake or croissant to your order to start your day." - candis mclean, alison kessler

What a great place you can bring your dog they accept all types of pay. It is in cat friendly no stairs. There’s a brewery nearby. Coming to get a delicious coffee. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

Great place to hang out and grab a quick drink and snack. Poppy's had very fair prices, quick service, and my chai tea was made to perfection. Highly recommend stopping if you are in the area and in need of a quick pit stop.......they also have very nice public restrooms.

I found this place last year while spending time in Philly. This place is absoutley amazing. I get the banana gorilla with almond milk. After spending time in Philly it was time to go back home to Long Island. Well this week , i came back to town after 8 months and Poppy's was the first place I stopped. If you are in the area and want an incredible coffee , this place is a must

Their nitro cold brew is always on point! Thanks for keeping it affordable and fresh. It’s the perfect pick-me up. However, I’ve always gotten my cold brew black. I was taken back when I ordered a drink with oat milk yesterday and there was a $1.25 up charge?! That is more money than I have paid for oat in all of NYC and the entire Philly region. Being lactose intolerant isn’t a choice and it should be affordable to have local dietary options! Affordable oat also aligns with stated goals on your website to “working toward reducing our carbon footprint on the environment.” Greenhouse gas emissions of milk in 16oz latte: Cow = 1.05kg Oat = .3kg. Land use of milk in 16oz latte: Cow = 3m2 Oat = .25m2. Moral implications to consider as well. Great local business otherwise and you won’t be disappointed with their quality!

Stopped here for the first time and was blown away by the kindness of the staff and the tastiness of the coffee. Highly recommend a cold brew with banana syrup and caramel sauce-absolutely delicious. Staff was kind enough to give me a half portion of each syrup and charge me for one, that way I wasn’t paying an extra two dollars to jazz up my coffee haha.😅 Will definitely be returning. Thanks again!

Was excited and curious to check this place out because of the space and largely because of this note on their website: "Our goal is to provide the best coffee to our community and its visitors while working toward reducing our carbon footprint on the environment." That note is awesome! But all I saw was a sea of disposable/single-use cups for their beverages, which is beyond a bummer. It's cool if their beans are thoughtfully cultivated, but tried an espresso drink and ... was not good. Very happy if they are doing well and local and doing good things. But for me, not a rush to return.
