Pops Artisanal Creamery

This is likely the best ice cream shop in SCV. It is pricey, but worth it. My daughter is very picky and this is her favorite ice cream shop. They make their Ice cream from scratch and they have a very interesting variety of flavors. I met the owner before and he is a very cool guy and is really into his business and it shows. Pro tip: If you like Afoggatos, you're in luck. They have them available, and if you get it with the Horchata Ice cream, it is particularly good.

We stopped by here on a whim after dinner and are so glad that we did! The quality and flavor selection of the ice cream here is our new favorite in SCV! I highly recommend honey lavender which was sweet with a subtle earthy floral, my boyfriend had the banana which was surprisingly delightful with a touch of cinnamon. Customer service is top notch and we can tell they are passionate about their ingredients and upholding traditional creamery values! This is a great spot to take your date or your family!

Visited this ice cream chillin' spot on their grand opening on a hot summer day. There are unique & interesting flavors to choose from. We tried piña colada, Thai tea, cacao tea, lavender, & guava cheese. They were all good! The scoop serving is small so you can try 2, 3 or more flavors in one order. My 3-flavored coconut sundae was enough to satisfy my craving. We're trying the pineapple sundae🍨 next.

Took my 3 year old out for a father-daughter date around the area. We finished our activity and I decided to take her here for some ice cream since it's been really hot. Walked in and stood in front of the ice cream selection. The young man walked to the ice cream counter and I greeted him with a hello and how's it going. No response. No simple hello or smile back. Just a blank stare. I ordered for my daughter and asked him if they had any sprinkles. The young man stood there again with a blank face. I then promoted him to add it on top since he didn't say anything like "Yes, we have some. Would you like some?" I go around the corner to pay and I saw the he just carelessly topped it with sprinkles. Barely covering the top of the ice cream. The young man didn't even ask if I wanted anything else. I tapped my card and paid. The young man then said "Receipt?" I said no thank you. The young man didn't even say thank you or enjoy the ice cream. Terrible service. This experience makes me apprehensive about brining my wife and other child here in the future. The owner should really look into teaching basic costumer service to their employees, or at least to that young man.

The ice cream is SO GOOD!!! There's the classic flavors (done better than most places) and a lot of really great unique flavors, that you can't get in other places. Good service and everything was clean.

The best ice cream shop in town! So glad to have this spot in SCV. They have other locations in the valley. They have some incredible flavors and everything is custom made from scratch. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly. Even though they are a small growing business, they present as a high-end franchise. What a great concept. We haven't had very many ice cream shops in town for awhile, so it was super refreshing to see this. Can't wait until they are fully open in another week or so.

Their ice cream is unique and very good. Sample the coconut, pistachios, and salted caramel. There are many more, but generally good all around. I've been trying to find this place after accidentally discovering their first location in the vannuys area. I met the owner and his brother. Very cool people. If theres anything I can do to promote their products and brand, it would be making their existence louder. People need to know how good their ice creams are.

We just came this past weekend for the first time. We were told they will be closing. They have such a great location in downtown Newhall. We will definitely miss them. Our son loved his vanilla bean ice cream. I even called them to make sure the Vanilla was egg free and they answered my questions.

What a way to end summer! POPS ice cream was sooo good. The lucuma flavor was my favorite. It is incredibly unique and reminds me of my family (it's a delicious Peruvian treat I grew up having that is not so easily found!). The salty pistachio paired perfectly with the sweetness of the lucuma and both flavors were incredibly creamy. I'm so happy to have found this artisanal creamery nearby!

Stopped here after seeing a movie for a treat. The location is directly across from the Leammle theater. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent public parking structure. The server greeted us when we walked in and offered samples. There are many choices as well as a decent handful of vegan flavors. They do not have any no sugar added offerings. The shop is very clean and has plenty of seating. In addition to ice cream they offer coffees, matcha and affogato. After sampling many different flavors I ended up getting butter pecan. The ice cream texture and flavor reminds me of ice milk. It is definitely different from the ice cream I am used to. Others seem to enjoy it though.

If you're looking for a place with exciting and plenty of flavors, this is a must-visit ice cream shop. It's a small shop and they had one employee working and she was very attentive. We ended up going with one scoop of honey lavender and it was pretty good and the size of the scoop was perfect.

Really yummy flavors and the staff is both helpful and friendly. I tried the lavender ice cream and it was divine! My hubby had the peanut butter and he devoured it. Would definitely return when I'm in downtown Newhall.

We all love a good ice cream spot! Ice cream: If you're looking for a good ice cream spot I'd highly recommend this place. There's so many good flavors to choose from all reasonably priced. Today, I tried the Thai tea, salted pistachio, vanilla bean, & strawberry. The Thai tea tasted nothing like Thai tea in my personal opinion so I'd past on this flavor 1/10. The salted pistachio was easily my favorite flavor I highly recommend this one especially if you're a pistachio fan 10/10. The vanilla bean was the perfect balance of sweet not overpowering but not too underwhelming 10/10. The strawberry was another personal favorite being it was extremely fresh & flavorful, you can really taste the quality in this one 10/10. Atmosphere/service: very cute location with indoor seating. Parking is a little tricky so just be aware of that. Service is friendly & attentive. Overall, great experience I look forward to returning!

I LOVE this ice cream shop! The flavors are good and the service is friendly! They offer pint size containers and coffee. The affogatos are tasty! It's the perfect combination of espresso and vanilla ice cream!

We really love going to pops! They have such fun and interesting flavors. I love the lavender and guava cheese. Each time I've gone here the staff are all very nice and help us try flavors. The shop is small and cute with some tables inside. If you choose to eat outside there is a cute courtyard that you can sit at to enjoy your ice cream.

The regular hot latte with rum raisin ice cream was kinda spicy and very creamy. Yum 6.00 Result is a wzrm drink but wonderful I had refill at 4.00 Mia was very patient and helpful Quiet in morning..busy after school is out. Kind of stone and steel modern with wooden tables. I liked it

We arrived around 8 PM. The store was brightly lit. I felt safe and it was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and inviting. We were greeted and helped right away. My friend got a watermelon ice cream of some kind and my husband and I had an espresso and a latte. We were extremely happy with the quality of the order. We took a group photo in front of their lovely art wall, since it was so rare for us young couples to be out without kids on a school night. We had a lovely time is the shop. I can't wait to go back again!!

Cute little ice cream shop in downtown Newhall. It's it's kind of hidden in the complex near the movie theater. I'm not to familiar with the area as I've only been for dinner. It was more located in the opposite end where most of the restaurant are and the main strip. On the bottom of retail area land condos above. Selections were pretty good. I didn't really try much as the first one I asked to try sold me on it. I love the cute IG wall that was inside. How can you come in and not get the perfect picture. Price wise was good as well.

This place was BOM!! Gavin hooked it up with some sweet treats and it was hittin on this crazy hot day! Highly recommend the Salted pistachio!! It's such a sleek and modern place to get some great ice cream and other cold treats!

We finally have a great mom-and-pop ice cream shop in Santa Clarita serving up unique, cultural, and delicious flavors of quality ice cream! I stopped by today and was helped by Sanya, super sweet girl who was very helpful with all my questions and sample requests. After a few samples I decided on a pint of mamey and horchata. Each pint is $13 and I would MUCH rather pay this price for quality, tasty ice cream instead of the other ice cream shop down the street charging $16 for a pint with subpar quality and severely lacking taste. The mamey is slightly sweet, fruity, tropical, and slightly tart. It's just like any mamey shake or smoothie I love having in Miami or even locally at Porto's! The horchata though is mind blowing, it's weird to say that it tastes "just like" horchata but this really does, it has the full blown cinnamon and rice-milk flavors, while not being too sweet either! Each flavor was creamy and Sanya packed the pints well so there isn't any empty space! They have a ton of great flavors so I can't wait to come back to try more.

Came here on a whim after eating at a nearby restaurant. Best find in Newhall! I had the honey lavender ice cream and it was so good that I bought a pint for later. My husband had the Thai tea ice cream and he loved it! The owner was there and he was super nice. He even gave my husband an affogato on the house and he said it was amazing. The area was really nice and the actual cafe was small but very cozy. Tables inside and outside. In a good area. Will definitely come back!

I love taking my little one here to grab ice cream. They offer such unique flavors. They give samples and are always helpful. If you are uncertain, they will provide a sample. the art on the wall is cool as well.

We were disappointed when we arrived since their online website shows many vegan options, but not all flavors were available. Also, the vegan options were all sorbets which looked okay. In LA, you've got to offer almond, coconut and oat milk ice creams as alternatives since other places do. Nevertheless, the dairy ice cream flavors looked delicious and so creamy. The shop was a bit overcrowded with a line of people, and everyone waited a while to get served by just one person. I'd visit this place again, but hopefully next time they'll have at least 2 milk alternatives besides just sorbet so I won't have to go to Nektar or Cold Stone for that.

Kind of like chick fil a where I always seem to crave this on the day it's closed (Mondays). Great location, right across the Newhall library, so I would frequent this place during study breaks. I'm pretty sure they use fresh ingredients for all the flavors bc I find pieces of strawberry and lucuma in their ice cream. Kind of pricey for ice cream, but you pay for quality. My favorite flavors so far are the strawberry (fresh taste), coffee (strong taste), lucuma (unique taste) and cookies & cream (very creamy taste).

So glad we finally got to try POPS and they did not disappoint. The both the thai tea and sweet corn flavors were delicious. The thai tea flavor was strong but not artificial tasting. Loved the sweet corn as it reminded me of one of my favorite filipino desserts growing up. I also sampled the avocado and almond which was also so yummy. I love the diversity of their ice cream flavor rotations. Will be back!

My first time trying POPS. Came here on a Thursday evening. I was able to find street parking just down on Main Street and walked over. There was one couple in front of us and we didn't have to wait long at all. This place is cute! They let us sample a bunch of different flavors which were all yummy and the nice guy behind the counter answered all of our questions. I went with 2 scoops - 1 scoop of Horchata and 1 scoop of Lacuma. They give a nice amount. I definitely recommend this place and hope they stick around for a long time!

Saw this place while we were walking around and decided to try it. 2 issues. 1. When I asked for a kids scoop, the guy serving my ice cream scooped it up and put it in the cup, then for some odd reason he scraped off the top and put it back in the tub, like why would he do that?? 2. When I took a spoonful into my mouth at first I thought one of my my hairs around my face had made its way into my mouth but as I reached to pull it out I realized that it was tangled in the ice cream and it was a long blonde hair. I know it's not my hair because I have brown hair. Needless to say this place is overpriced and disgusting. Never coming here again but if you are in the mood for some hairy ice cream be my guest.

I first came across POPS in SFV and was super excited to see them open in Newhall. The flavors are unique and they always rotate them. Some people say the ice cream is on the pricier side but it's worth the occasional splurge. They have a cute sitting area inside with some insta worthy shots.

Came for the second time in a week and both times closed. No sign, no update in hours, no phone response. Closed for good, maybe?

I was walking by on my return from the Farmers Market in Newhall wen I saw the shop. It will be open today at noon and I expect the lines to be out the door. I have had their Ice Cream at their first location in San Fernando and am not wait for my first of many treats The owner was on site and previewed some amazing flavors including fresh sorbets and many traditional and not so traditional flavors. I can not wait to try the avocado along with some of the sorbets. They have both dairy and non dairy options A perfect treat on a hot day or before a movie This is in the building with Laemmle Theatre so easy parking in the structure

Oh god lord Jesus this ice cream is wonderful. Love it! Creative flavors, creative décor. Perfectly placed in the heart of Newhall, by the cool arts movie theater and nearly new library. Have you been to that library? It's a good one. Look: horchata, almond avocado, honey lavender, tamarind, yellow cherry, cashew, sweet corn...!? MUST return to try more. And there's a love wall--too cute. Some young buck waited on me. C--something of the dashing dimples and debonair flair, a mass of blond hair. Now THERE'S a young gentleman if I ever did see one. And he's starting college in the fall. I asked. My only complaint is that I don't have a daughter to introduce him to. Helpful, patient, efficient--but coooool all the while, in that humble way some people have, you know? That type makes the greatest sons-in-law. (I'd need it too because any daughter of mine would probably be a bitch off the ol' block--I'm simply being honest. Excuse my French.) The kid had me try some guava cheese weird thing but double yum! Still, I had the coconut bowl of crême brûlée because why not? YOLO, flame it up! I added coffee ice cream. Perfection. Mwah! I left the kid a big tip.

Love POPS. The staff is so friendly and they make the best shakes with oat milk. Not many shops use alternative milks. Ice cream is always fresh. I am glad to have another ice cream shop in our community.

After I pick up my daughter from school we love coming here and getting ice cream! Every time we come the ice cream is soo good. It's also one of the only places that has my favorite ice cream. Lucuma, which is a Peruvian flavored ice cream. Everyone is always super nice and when my daughter gets her mango or strawberry ice cream they always are sure to give her extra sprinkles! Needless to say we love coming here and it is a family tradition of our to come!

Love the lucuma taste with cocoa, vanila bean also so good. the staff so friendly, the place clean and need. My friend tried the banana split, he loved it.

I used to drive all the way to the valley for POPS and was super excited that my favorite ice cream spot came to Santa Clarita. Sorry to all the ice cream spots but this is hands down the best in this valley. They have a variety of ice creams, sorbets (dairy free/vegan), sundaes, and fruit bowls. They switch up the ice cream flavors and rotate them, so be warned if you're craving an ice cream flavor you had last time and become sad when they don't have it anymore the next time you come in. Also, don't expect the basic ice cream flavors here, their ice cream menu will definitely expand your palette of ice cream. They have unique flavors like tamarind, honey lavender, lavender lucuma, thai tea, guava cheese, and matcha. I highly recommend trying their exotic and specialty flavors before you order! If you love fruity ice cream, you're in luck-- their sorbets are amazing. My favorites are the pineapple, mango, and strawberry!! If you're in the mood for creamy, you can't go wrong with salted pistachio, butter pecan, and their cookies & cream. If you haven't been to POPS and you're reading this, it's a sign you should go. You won't be disappointed :)

We really wanted to like this place but the ice cream was more like ice milk. It seemed over-churned and dry, with very little flavor. Lots of I e crystals. Plus the worker seemed bothered and unfriendly. I wish OTN had a proper gelato shop but at least there is a Baskin Robbins just up Lyons Ave.

Stopped in after lunch today and ended up taking home four pints! Vanilla, Cacao, Salted Pistachio, and Coconut. My niece got a waffle cone with cookies and cream. All the flavors we tried were delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Both the customer service & products at POPS are amazing! They really took the time to make sure we understood the great variety of ice cream/vegan ice cream/sorbet flavors we could choose from. The person who helped us was so kind & knowledgeable. They also really packed in the ice cream on our pints & small scoops (you can choose up to 2 flavors for a small size). I very much appreciated their extensive vegan options (the vegan cookie dough ++) & sorbets. We didn't get to try their acai bowls or coffee/tea menu this time, but judging from the fresh quality & delicious flavor of their ice cream, I'm sure they'll be excellent too. The space was very clean & inviting. They have Fivestars and take Apple Pay. Super glad we have a cool new dessert spot in SCV! :)

We attended the grand opening weekend and honestly, I was expecting more. This is your average ice cream shop. Nothing really special here. The employees all seemed very annoyed to be there and inconvenienced by simple questions. There was a BOGO promotion posted on a flyer (which was what brought us here), but the promotion was not honored. We ordered kids sized scoops and were charged for smalls. Ended up paying $17 for 4 tiny scoops of ice cream. We would've been better off buying a carton of ice cream from the grocery store. The flavors were good, but like I said, nothing special. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here because they're a new business and maybe just need to work out the kinks. For that price though, we probably won't be back.

Best ice cream in California. Their artisanal flavors are all natural. I seriously can not go back to supermarket and commercial ice cream. You can definitely taste the difference. Pops creamery is better for you.

Açaí bowl with unlimited toppings for $10, it's a great deal. Everything here is really yummy. I'm glad they open POPS here in Santa Clarita, I used to drive to San Fernando.

Love love love this ice cream shop! Delicious flavors and allergy friendly! Our first time I got the Thai Tea flavor and my husband got Banana and Strawberry. Our daughter who has a couple of allergies got the Vegan Strawberry. And when I mentioned she has allergies, they made sure to get her a brand new scoop to avoid cross contamination. Second time I got a Watermelon Sorbet and my husband and daughter picked the same flavors they got last time.

We drove here tonight but it was closed at 6 pm? Not sure why. So we took a drive to other location and it was great! Tried the raw cacao , guava cheese, Thai tea banana, coconut among the 4 of our group and they were all amazing! Highly recommend trying this place. Always delicious and unique flavors. Not your average ice cream shop at all way better. Try it

Ordered via UberEats and they called me right away about one of the Vegan flavors being out of stock. Plenty of vegan ice cream options - we got both Strawberry and Cacao and they were awesome. Will for sure order again with all of the vegan options. I had the Banana ice cream which was delicious. We ordered medium sizes and you get good portions for the price.

Finally went in for the first time before a movie at Laemmle. Had the cacao and the matcha green tea flavors. Was very impressed. Beautiful smooth consistency, not over sweet, great flavors.

This ice cream place is so delicious! I had the guava cheese and it tastes exactly like the guava pastry from Porto's. The young man said that was the inspiration behind the flavor when they were a part of the Cuban fair. I also sampled the vanilla ice cream and it was so creamy!

They have amazing flavors here that you can't get at most other creameries: Lavender, matcha, thai tea, and hands down the best banana ice cream I've ever had
