Pop’s Bagel Shop

Nice sized bagel spot in New Jersey. Bagels were fresh even at 2pm. Everyone seemed laid back and cool to chit chat with inside. No drama type of place and everyone smiling. So good bagels and good vibes inside is always a huge plus.

This is a sad little egg and cheese sandwich. Little bit of egg with some cold cheese on it. Never thought I could feel bad for a sandwich but looking at this I sure do. Have gotten bagels from here before which were very good and think I’ll just stick with those for now on.

I am so disappointed. I order from pops 3-4 times a month. Usually omelets. Today I chose a Taylor ham egg & cheese on a bagel. Unfortunately they put 2 of the thinest smallest pieces of Taylor ham they could find. Sandwich was all bagel. Congrats on saving a penny or 2. I won't be back

Okay this easy my comments WOW!! I've recently (okay maybe a month or bit more ago) went in to grab a bagel figure is like all bagel shops I been in past but I dunno there bagels are on whole other level beyond top tier because I can recall just how good toasted bagel with cream cheese tasted first I'm like got be freak occurrence but then I go back just as wonderful so I never change my order so not change anything one day after maybe month or so I order breakfast bagel sandwich bacon egg cheese with spk and let me tell you that other level I mentioned they went an blew that away i just can not say enough good things about there bagels and food my hat is off to pops bagels

This place is excellent! The egg and Swiss with pastrami on an everything bagel is delicious. Everything on the menu is great, the staff and the service is next level.

Absolutely, the friendliest staff with phenomenal bagels! My family is always greeted when we walk in there. The bagels are fresh. The egg sandwiches are amazing and once again the staff is so friendly.

A homey, restaurant feel when you dine in here. Some of the best bagels I've ever eaten. There is something different in the way these are made compared to your average bagel! Love it here. Super fresh ingredients as well.

I saw an influencer post about Pop's and I have been nonstop thinking about what she was eating since I saw her post in early December! I had an opportunity to go today so I seized the moment! She ordered tuna on an everything bagel with lettuce and tomato, bagel not toasted. Comes with a pickle and small sode salad, so I got exactly that, what a great meal! I was a little nervous because ordering tuna out is always a gamble, but not at POP's, it was soooo good! I scoffed that baby down as soon as I got in to my car! I highly recommend!

Love the Taylor ham, egg & cheese sandwich's from here! This is a great place where I always like to stop to grab a solid breakfast before going to work.

I'm from out of town and stopped here for Abe army morning breakfast sandwich. I had an egg, cheese, and bacon on everything bagel with a coffee. The sandwich and coffee hit every chord before we got on the road. The bagels were so good, we took a bakers dozen with us. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and deliciou I would definitely come by again!

Soooo, the wife & I just moved to the neighborhood. Quite honestly, the food around here is pretty lame. It's better to just cook at home. One that came close to having some taste failed miserably in portion. They charged regular price for kids meal portion. Pop's bagel shop? Took me by surprise. I didn't have any high hopes, but they were pretty darn good. The staff was about business but respectful. Courteous & polite. We ordered chicken tenders, fries & two chicken cheese steak sandwiches. Everything down to the complimentary potato salad delivered. The items were worth the price & hands down it has been the best tasting food here thus far. Why take away one star? Eating at places like New Brunswick & New York, I've had better, BUT I'd say as a whole this place is worth coming back to repeatedly.

Pop's has the best variety of bagels in the area and an excellent a selection of sandwiches, wraps, and egg dishes. The bagels are coated on both sides, like they should be (unlike Dunkin and Panera). I felt that they were a bit less chewy than I expect from a good NJ bagel, so maybe the flour they use is lower in gluten than others.

I feel this area doesn't have too many amazing bagel shops, but Pop's stands out. The location literally does stand out since it's in the middle of two roads. An older bagel shop with friendly service that is serving more than average quality bagels. I got a a breakfast sandwich (bacon egg cheese), but was not thrilled with the bacon. It was a little "gumy" and not crispy/melty if that makes sense. Other than that, the area is lucky to have a nice bagel shop like this. I would return.

So the spot in Landing is always great!! However every single time the blonde perfect English speaking woman takes my order for pick up she consistently messes up my order. When you're looking forward to a breakfast sandwich 1st thing in the morning and you get minimal egg not over medium, and a bunch of raw red onions it really starts your morning like ... Not hard to write down double egg over medium & grilled onions... EVERY TIME, I even repeat myself to confirm

The bagels are amazing. For lazy Sunday morning the best breakfast platters, fast service if you want even faster order by phone, they never disappoint.

This was a great find on a trip home from NYC-- the bagels are super fresh and hand made daily. The employees were super welcoming and friendly. And it was not far off 80 W at all (5 minutes or less). Highly recommend.

I really was excited about this place opening and couldn't wait to try it out. I went on a Sunday with my husband and two kids. People were standing everywhere, so it took forever to get our order in. Then we were told to go to the other side of the restaurant and find a seat. We had to clean a table ourselves even though there was only one other family in the whole dining room. About 15 minutes later our food finally came out (which I felt was a long wait when we're talking about things like a bagel with cream cheese). The bagels came out way over-toasted. My daughter couldn't even bite into hers. It was a very unenjoyable experience, so then we were trying to figure out how to pay so we could leave. Turns out I had to wait on the line amongst the chaos AGAIN. I get to the register and the gentleman (who was very nice, by the way) says "okay, what did you get today?" And proceeds to ring me up. Why I couldn't just pay when they took the order is beyond me. I think this place needs to really work some major kinks out before I would give them another chance.

Not a fan! Young Staff is rude. Disappointed in the breakfast sandwiches.. Bagels are not that great. Disappointed because I have heard a lot about them and was curious to try.

Best bagels in Roxbury. Owned by the same guys as the Wharton location, their bagels are unique, huge and taste great.

What can I say but great folks run the place they feel like family when I go in! The food is a great portion it's always fresh. Bagels the best around! Had a pastrami and swiss sandwich is was awesome! Love going there highly recommend stopping by. Breakfast sandwiches are also a must have!

Pop's has been great! Customer service has been good the few times I've been. I've gotten breakfast sandwiches on bagels, on sandwiches, and I've gotten subs. I've enjoyed them all. I don't know why or how someone paid $15.63 for one bagel w/cream cheese and an iced tea. I paid $22 for 4 breakfast sandwiches (two on bagels and two with steak) and a tea. Average price to me. Owner is real nice too. Gave my son a bag of popcorn. Going back today!

I had breakfast here yesterday and it was fantastic. A delicious huge cheese omelette with a ton of fresh home fries, toast and coffee, all for $6.00! A great bargain. Certainly will be back soon.

I'm so happy this place opened up! They are very friendly and welcoming here. I should ask for the guy who always takes my order's name, but he really is so nice. The place is open and wide and has a seating area, which I appreciate greatly. It's clean and the coffee selection is cool, too. I'm very happy I have Pop's to go to now! Other places just are not as friendly or warm as this place is. Thank you Pop's Bagel Shop for being nice and delicious, as well. :)

Just like everyone else in the area I was so excited for this bagel shop to open. My first visit I asked for a whole wheat bagel and got a whole wheat everything. Today I asked for a toasted onion bagel with out of cream cheese and got an onion bagel not toasted with plain cream cheese and was charged more for a flavored cream cheese. Annoying little errors that make me not want to go back.

Good bagels, great price and extremely friendly staff. Quick and efficient also. Good food, although the everything bagels could use a bit more of well - everything on them. I believe the owner is who I order from and he is very friendly!

Hey so I got nervous to write my review off my yelp so I'm doing it off my friends account to hide my identity. First off would like to say this place SLAPS! Their Taylor ham egg and cheese are the bomb and I personally like this place better than bagels on the hill. The staff is so friendly and their bagels are home made and so fresh and yummy. Highly recommend. Hopefully over time I'll be more confident in my own yelp account to write this on mine but thanks for reading!

Really like this place. Around here bagels are all pretty much the same. It's pretty hard to get a bad one. I go to Pop's because of the people that run it. They're always friendly, they make an extra effort to make sure you order's correct, and if anything is wrong they do what needs doing to make it right.

We've been here maybe 12 times since they've opened and we really enjoy the fresh made bagels. One critic I have is that the staff does not know the menu well. It's the reason this is a 4 stars review instead of 5 stars. When we order and omelete we have to say it comes with home fries and toast otherwise it's just the omelete, same with the pancake platter we need to mention it comes with choice of meat. It can be pretty frustrating when placing the order and also paying because we have to make sure we aren't being charged for items that should be included. The prices are great, standard bagel prices. Staff is always pleasant and I really feel that the speed of the service has gotten better since the first week of opening.

I love this place! The service is always friendly and efficient, and the bagels are the equal of anything you'll find in Brooklyn. I would ask those who gave Pop's a low score to try it again. Delicious bagels. I got the bacon, egg and cheese bagel. YUM! The smell in there smelled heavenly! Nothing beats like fresh instead of getting one from Dunkin Donuts!

My usual bagel place was extremely packed. I was in a rush to be somewhere so I decided to try Pops instead. Two everything with veggie cc and one plain with cc. ordering was a bit unorganized no one really directing the people but it's also due to social distancing craziness so I let that go. Service was very quick once I ordered, took my order and left. My kids and I bit into the bagels to discover they were wet dough and raw inside. My kids never met a bagel they didn't like and they spit this out and threw it right in the trash. Unfortunate first experience for us. My husband raves about their sandwiches and lunches so maybe I'll give them a go with lunch. However for bagels I'll stick to my tried and true spot less than a 1/4 mile up the road.

Hands down the best bagel shop I've ever been to. We go here at least once a week and we are never disappointed. The bagels are perfectly toasted, chewy, and taste fresh! Also, their cheesesteaks are to die for. Great cheese and high quality meat. Employees are very friendly. Never had a negative experience and would highly recommend as a go-to breakfast/lunch destination.

We are loyal Bagels on The Hill goers but thought we'd give this place a try. I ordered an everything with scallion cream cheese. They were out of everything. Ok no big deal so I got A sesame with scallion. While they were making orders I saw they had highly seasoned reddish in color seasoned chicken breast cooking on the grill. I thought oh that's interesting until I found the bottom of my bagel was a bit wet and the same color. Obviously I threw it out and will never go back. Salmonella much?

Fantastic begals, great sandwiches and great service. They seriously have fantastic food. There breakfast is the best hands down.

Love this place. The people are friendly and very attentive. It's always packed so complaining about a little wait is ridiculous. Of course you will have to wait, but what is 5 minutes, when you get a delicious meal for a reasonable price? Let's support small shops so that they can succeed and we can have a better selection. Coming here to complain that you had to wait is just useless. Welcome to the neighborhood and you will see me there often

Very pricey, for an average quality everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a Joe Tea, it came out to $15.63. I hate to see what the cost would be for a drink and breakfast sandwich. I will not be going back ,there are better bagel places in the area at lower cost.

Yelp is the worst platform for giving reviews. Pissed of people come here, and this place is the equivalent of having a wet dream about a bagel

Excellent breakfast sandwiches!! I love how you can see them cook everything right in front of you! They are always quick and always cooked to perfection! My wife loves the gyros there. Best she ever had since a New York City real gyro! My favorite still is and will always be the bacon, egg, taylor ham and cheese on an everything bagel with ketchup, mayo, salt & pepper!! Yum!!!!

I grew up on H&H bagels in NYC. Always searching for a great bagel Pops is my answer to that! Staff is very friendly. Great hometown feel. they are a welcome addition to the Lake Hopatcong Community. While you are waiting to get into the state park, stop by and get your breakfast and lunch!

Went to Pop's yesterday. Ordered 1 bagel. Cost $.95 gave $1.00. He said ok. I looked at him. He finally gave me my nickel change. I felt like he didn't want to give me change. Also, THEY & JERSEY deli's either don't carry PUMPERNICKLE BAGELS definitely can't make a TRUE PUMPERNICKLE BAGEL. RECIPE: "Hearty dark rye bagels can be made at home. Rye flour, cocoa, coffee, and caraway seeds make these taste so good!" ... Mix rye flour, molasses, cocoa powder, vegetable oil, coffee granules, caraway seeds, and salt in a large bowl. Went there twice, had a muffin one time, horrible doughy...Had french toast the second time and my husband had an egg and bacon bagel sandwich..French toast was average at best and the bagel was horrible. The coffee tastes watered down. We gave our order at counter, ate in the dining area and then didn't know how to pay. We had to wait on the long line at the pick up counter to pay, eventhough we already ate.Should have either had us pay on ordering or have wait staff..Bagels on the Hill is so much better

This is a new place in town and they have sister restaurants in Wharton. I met the owner and he seemed like a good family oriented man. Everyone who works there has been pleasant and gave a smile when I said hello to them. I am glad this store opened up and I hope them years of success. The bagels are not what I'm used to, but they are good. They have a large variety of flavors and so far they all taste great. The breakfast sandwich was very good as well. No complaint about this place, just have to get used to the style of bagel they make.

The owner is a complete waste of a human! He undermines the woman and is completely rude and condescending to his costumers. I live in landing but make the trip to Wharton pops because the owner in landing is awful.

Went here first time to just get a few bagels. It was about 12:30 on a weekday and they had almost no bagels left. I did get a few multigrain everything and they were pretty good size, bigger than the average bagel. Good for a sandwich. Not very much topping on them. Nice place inside, good eating area, lots of room. Will try again another time

My first time at this new place. Ordered over the phone. Bagels were excellent. Breakfast sandwiches good. Tuna good. However got order wrong. Instead of tuna with lettuce. I received tuna with lettuce tomato onion
