I'm not one to normally post a negative review, but I went to start my anniversary with my husband here for breakfast and was upset that $50 was honestly just wasted. I wouldn't recommend this place when there are so many other local shops that are worth it... The wait staff wasn't rude, but they don't check in to see if a drink is empty. When you order your "specialty" crafted latte, it's nothing special. It honestly is just a watered down latte. Not worth your $7. After a long wait, when our food did come out the plates were hot, yet our food was cold. Not a good sign. I'd like fresh food, not food sitting on a hot plate under a warmer... I ordered a simple biscuit and gravy, which was not only cold but very dry. Where was the sausage gravy? They really skipped on this one and not only didn't put any sausage gravy on the top biscuit part, but barely any on the bottom. The eggs were again, not only cold, but over cooked too. My husband ordered the Farmhouse Hash Bowl. Sadly, this too was cold and when you have cold brisket, it's a huge turn off. I'm sad that this one didn't work out as I'm a local and really wanted it to! Especially since when you walk in and see the bakery section looking so great! Overall, I sadly wouldn't return. It's just not worth the wait or the money.

Were recently ate here twice on a recent visit to Point Pleasant. We came for breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The staff was nice and friendly and the coffee was good and BIG. The place is VERY clean and it was probably the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a restaurant. I would definitely return. We also bought some items from the bakery and while they were very fresh and tasty, they were a bit too sweet for us.

Stopped on our way home upstate and the food was AMAZING! It’s so hard to find a good restaurant that knows how to make French toast. The waffles were fluffy. Everything was so good. Our waitress was the sweetest, she gave a bunch of recommendations and checked on us constantly. I wish i remembered her name but she was blonde and very pretty. 10/10 Service. Definitely take some goods with you on the way out!

Cute little place with good food! I had the eggs Benny with crab cakes and it hit the spot. They also have a small bakery case with a lot of options and a couple gluten free treats too.

Decided to grab a bite to eat before hopping the train for the day. We walked from the Point Pleasant Transit site, to Pops. A little bit of a wait for our food, but it was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Our son had the biscuits n gravy. Yummy!

Google
Very cute place with tasty food and drinks. Orange juice was fresh and delicious. I got a dirty chai latte and my husband got a matcha latte and both were great in nice big mugs. I got an omlette with pastrami cheese and peppers and onions while my husband got the salmon eggs benedict. We both enjoied our meals quite a bit! The potatoes were nice and flavorful, and the wheat toast was like a nice arnold multigrain bread or something, very nice bread. I got a side of turkey sausage and it was like good real turkey sausage (not those frozen spongey boxed ones some places have. They had good ones) . Atomosphere was cute, bright, and clean. Service was good. Parking lot behind the restaurant was awkward to get to and only had 2 spots for the restaurant but we went on an off peak time so it wasnt a problem. Would definitely go again. Next door they have a market with neat items and pastries as well. We didnt get the pastries but we bought some items.

Google
Wow! This place is the bomb! Service is SUPER friendly and efficient, food is healthy and delicious and every detail of the place is gorgeous. The plates, cups, tables, walls, floors, booths etc. We are here each day of our vacation and we're never let down. It's so wonderful to have healthy food is this area of boardwalk food. Loves it!

Google
I came into Pops corner because I work from home and was looking for a new spot to get out of my house and have a nice working lunch. As soon as I walked in I loved the atmosphere, it was super clean, bright, coastal, and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the chicken noodle soup and the stock was super good and the noodles weren’t too much - loved the broth. I also really love the pico de gallo and queso fresco on the avocado toast- the eggs were perfectly cooked over easy and the sourdough was yummy. I’ve finished off with a chai latte to go. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome experience

Yelp
Last night Pop's Corner held a special dinner with Chopped Champion and Executive chef Andrew Riccarelli. First off, the dining room was transformed into a semi formal restaurant. Deanna did an amazing job at making us feel welcome and turning a breakfast/lunch spot into a dinner restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything our table ordered was delicious. Andrew is the chef at The Hudson Rose in Nutley. Take the trip there. You will not regret it!!

Yelp
Little Cute Diner next to Point Pleasant Metro Stop. Staff is super nice. Very attentive. Clean bright ambiance. Food was very good. All ingredients fresh. Portion was ok. If you are in the area come try.

Laura L.

Yelp
Tasteless omelettes, for $16... Frozen deep fried potatoes are not home fries! Seven dollar cappuccino when I was asked if I wanted whipped cream I said yes but I didn't know I was being charged a dollar for it! Jersey diners are supposed to butter your toast. Bakery items looked great, might stop back for one

Laureen Y.

Yelp
We ordered the archies french toast which has nutella and bananas in between, farmhouse hash bowl which has a brisket, potatoes, and eggs, and 3 eggs your way. My farmhouse hash bowl had burnt onions, and peppers with the brisket. Never been here before. The farmhouse hash bowl cost $14.40 and archies french toast cost $12.

Alan M.

Yelp
Non traditional breakfast lunch spot. They try hard but miss the mark. Very slow service during off time. No follow up on order. No coffee refills asked for. No garnish on waffles for nice $. That's enough. Can't be that bad, I'll try again.

Hailey F.

Yelp
Always fresh food and yummy! Service is good sometimes a bit slower if they are busy but you still get a good experience and friendly workers. Prices can be a bit on the higher side depending what you order.

Ming M.

Yelp
The thanksgiving feast is awesome. The turkey was tender with excellent gravy, string beans, stuffing, sweet potatoes, corn bread and Mac and cheese. Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year and this was pretty pretty good.

Roxanne O.

Yelp
Came here early Sunday morning and to our surprise, there were already a few groups eating. I guess that's why they open so early! I think there's a parking lot in the back but we couldn't find it so we parked across the street. Our food came out quickly. We ordered two omelettes, the shrimp and grits and avocado toasts, along with our coffees. Everything was perfect--my father thoroughly enjoyed his savory grits and I really liked the salsa they made on top of the avocado toast. The omelettes were filled and the home fries were perfectly fried. I'll be back!

Yelp
So glad we stopped in while down for the weekend!! What a gem!! The space is bright, modern, and so cute! We loved the oversized booths. We were seated immediately. Food was delicious and fresh! The only complaint was minor service issues but it seemed to just be our waitress. We will absolutely come back!! They even have a cute little walk in coffee shop attached!

Kathryn S.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was excellent! Great spot to hit before boarding the train to Newark!

Miladys G.

Yelp
This was such a surprise hit in my books. The Monte Cristo was one of the best things I have eaten for breakfast. It was sweet and savory just the perfect combo. I love they have different options for milk, especially coconut milk which is my favorite. The service was great, the waitress was very attentive and she advised they added a dinner option on the weekend which I will be coming back. The restaurant it's literally across the point pleasant train station. Street parking available. Overall ambiance it's perfect for family and friends.

Spera S.

Yelp
We waited and watched this place be restored and renewed inside.. first time eating there and was impressed with every last thing they did . The place is spotless . The bathrooms are amazing, good sized and for a "family" if need be. Service was on point as I asked my server "omelette or French toast?". 1 millisecond later she said "French toast ". Amazing dish.. love the vibe and the designs inside this place and I will be back many many times!! Too much on the menu not to at least try it once !! Thanks Pops for restoring a nice location into a beautiful place to eat and enjoy yourself !

Wendy H.

Yelp
Delicious. Biscuits and Gravy done to perfection. Adorable inside. Cute cafe outside seating.

Linda T.

Yelp
The establishment is clean and bright. Staff welcomes you at the door and seats you. There is a market adjacent to the eatery that has grab and go options and pastries and coffee as well. A nice alternative to sitting and eating. Breakfast Menu is available all day and lunch menu is available after 11am. Waitress came took our drink and food order pretty quickly and delivered drinks all in a timely fashion but then seemed to disappear. Our table did not have sugar for my tea. It took us grabbing the hostess to solve that. Then I had to use a fork because she had not brought a spoon with my tea and she was no where to be found. After about a 1/2 hour the host came to us and acknowledged that our meals were taking some time. He mentioned that the kitchen had missed one of our dishes and they were waiting on that. My husband requested the other dishes come out so they wouldn't be cold. He brought out my daughter and mine. Both were ok but I can tell you that had it come out right when it was first completed it would have been a better temperature. My husband's dish followed just a few minutes later. We all agreed the food was very good. We all cleaned our plates. But the overall experience was tainted because of the delay and no communication. Not sure how new this establishment is but perhaps that has something to do with its staff. Bonus they offer Wi-Fi.

Mark S.

Yelp
I love this place. The Shore is so overdue for a hip fun place for breakfast. the food is amazing. The staff fun this is going to be my regular go to place and yes, I'm a local.

Josh D.

Yelp
Order was all wrong, sandwiches had way too much bread, and service for takeout took forever. Lots of people standing around. Not going back, Very disappointing.

Joe R.

Yelp
A wonderful diner-ish restaurant with great food, attentive service, and a casual and fun vibe.

Mary R.

Yelp
If I could give no stars I would. We are locals and went there today for breakfast. Our first and last time. Cold food, burned pancakes all of our party didn't get their meals. Worst avacado toast I've ever had. Hardly any avacado on it and the toast wasn't toasted. We had Ordered 2 sides of scrambled eggs which were totally different. Don't waste your money.

Lori V.

Yelp
First full day in New Jersey and our daughter recommended Pops Corner as it's a 5 minute walk from our Airbnb. It was a rainy walk but so worth it. There is a barista and the coffee was fantastic. The menu offers something for everyone. I had a breakfast bowl with spinach, quinoa, black beans and eggs. The flavor was so good I didn't need to add the dressing. My husband had a build your own omelette, it was perfect. A must have is the bacon steak, melt in your mouth goodness!

Christa B.

Yelp
I ordered pork roll, egg and cheese. I asked for extra crispy pork roll. The waitress put it in as such. Pork roll was not crispy. It wasn't busy, so this should not have been an issue. I did not send it back. The espresso was okay. The shop attached was cute. It is definitely kid friendly. The service was quick and friendly. I will be down here at least once a month. I will give other foods a try. I did appreciate the Apple Pay option also.

Grace M.

Yelp
I agree with the reviews that say this place is clean, modern and comfy - a great renovation from what was long there. We've been twice and I really wanted to love it because it's walking distance from our house. The first time was good enough for a return visit with our adult kids and we had the same waitress, which is a good sign when people stay at a restaurant job that long (6 months). But the food...and the wait...and the prices... Two of our party got the avocado toast and I'm not sure I've ever seen less avocado on avocado toast. The bread was ordinary sandwich bread and nothing special or thick sliced. I asked for a side salad, which turned out to be about 2 ounces of lettuce that came with the wrong salad dressing, and a scoop of chicken salad, which was diced chicken, celery and mayo...that's it. No seasoning, grapes, pecans, nothing. It was a decent portion, though, and my husband, who was left hungry by the meager avocado toast, was happy to finish it just to get some nourishment. But the worst of all was the chicken noodle soup...not sure I've ever had worse. The chicken was dark brown and there was so much of it I couldn't get a spoonful without a lot of weird chicken in it. Not a lot of broth but what was there was also brown and not clear yellow. I took a few spoonfuls for $6 or $9 (can't remember which) so it was a huge disappointment and I would definitely NOT recommend it, which is a shame because a diner like this generally has good soups. We waited a long time between courses, the waitress seemed confused by the digital order-taking device, and she disappeared for long periods of time. No drink refills. When the bill came, we paid it using the app rather than wait another 15 minutes for someone to come back for our payment. I read a lot of reviews here that reference the "grab-and-go" area. Looks like that isn't operating anymore as that area was completely empty. The waitress did do a push for their newly added dinner service, but the prices are out of this world for things like a crabcake and you can definitely get great dinners at Spikes or Atlantic Seafood for less. I hope the owners read the reviews here on Yelp because this has the potential and location to be a favorite for locals and visitors if they could just get their food quality up and smooth out the service experience.

Gabby S.

Yelp
Food was delicious, and the restaurant is cute, but everything was very overpriced. If the portions were bigger then it would be ok, but I felt the portions were on the smaller side. Costed me almost $30 for my coffee, meal, and tip.

G S.

Yelp
Cute little corner diner in Point Pleasant! The wait staff did a nice job keeping the booths clean. Unfortunately, the service was not great at all. No refills on water, and pretty much ignored after we placed our order. Had to go to the front desk to collect and pay our bill. Never saw the server again. Food was just ok. Good fries! BUT terrible burgers! Over cooked and just bland. No flavor. And the buffalo chicken sandwich was not great. It just tasted like pepper. Couldn't really discern much else . Just an overwhelming taste of pepper like someone dumped a pepper shaker on it. We're local, but there are a lot of terrific places nearby that are much better. So while we wanted to like this new place, the food quality is going to have to really improve for us to want to come back. The bakery side looked yummy btw, so willing to give that a try one day.

Sonu S.

Yelp
The pastry are so fake tasting, they use weird flavoring and so much sugar. I can't get over the sugar taste. Similar to what you would get at Walmart. I am letting you know you can get it once and you will know exactly what i am speaking of. The muffins at wholefoods or wegmans taste so much better for quarter of the price . People are being fooled cause they think there is nothing else around.

Rudy D.

Yelp
Food was okay. Service okay. Food could be better in flavor. Service could be more friendly and attentive. I love coffee but their coffee was ok. Tried it and wouldn't go back.

Lydia B.

Yelp
Lots of staff members delivering delicious looking food. So far the buffalo cauliflower is a 10. Our other dishes were a bit hit or miss. To be fair they were in rapid growth stage and putting forth massive effort. I am looking forward to coming back.

Sandra M.

Yelp
The location is great as well as the food, drinks and Amazing service. My parents who live in Point Pleasant Beach went with me for breakfast and it was definitely not our last time going. I'm bringing my husband here too. Thumbs up to the chef and waitress.

Patricia O.

Yelp
Tried the newest restaurant in Point Beach. The renovations to the store were wonderful. Everything is clean and bright. We were a little confused that half the store was a restaurant and the other side a take out coffee place and store. Weird since the another coffee shop is two doors down. The coffee is $4 a coffee but they do do refilled. The cups are small but the coffee was hot. Our coffee drinkers who drink coffee black with no sugar thought the coffee had a strong burn taste. We ordered eggs Benedict. The potato were hot and delicious. I would give them a 5 rating. The ham was cold and the egg was over cooked on all orders and the eggs were luke warm. Hollandaise sauce is not very hot either. Benedict price were normal. We tried the Mimi egg white omelette. The omelette was delicious. Nice size omelette. Normal prices. The potatoes were hot and delicious. The rye toast was cold and not butter. Butter came on the dish, but the toast was so cold that you can see in the picture the butter didn't even melt. Parking is an issue. Only 2 places in the back so you have to park across the street on the road or in the old bank parking lot. Not sure it will make it when the bank comes down and parking is gone. We will not pay for parking at the railway station. We may try lunch. Too cold in the winter to walk for parking issues.

Jenn M.

Yelp
Very delicious breakfast option. The service was great. It has only been open 18 days. I recommend the Crab Cake Benedict. The pancakes were very taste as well as the home fries. The restaurant was clean and roomy.

Eric Y.

Yelp
Food tastes terrible. only one waitress for the entire restaurant so service was slow. even the baked goods on the bakery side were nasty. Better off going to Simona's bakery. Don't waste ur time at this place.

Joann G.

Yelp
Excellent food, beautiful decor, kid friendly banquettes! Their coffee is great! They have a bakery at the same location and everything looks delicious, can't wait to go back!

Colleen H.

Yelp
Beautiful new place in point pleasant. Food was really tasty, but unfortunately our service was not great. We waited 15 mins to get served, food took a while to come out, and didn't receive any drinks until our food came. However, it seemed like this only happened to us. So maybe it was more of an issue with our server as opposed to the restaurant. Service alone was really bad (restaurant wasn't busy either) but the food was so good as well as the ambiance so I have to give this place 3 stars. I would be willing to give this place a second chance because of the food but hopefully next time the service would be better.

Helen V.

Yelp
Pop's Corner is an amazing Breakfast or Brunch spot! I cannot wait to come back and try everything on the menu. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, just enough spice to satisfy the Cajun lovers, but mild enough for those intolerant to spice. The waffle is fluffy and cooked to perfection. Yummmmm

RK B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great service and great breakfast. Anytime you walk into a diner with a toddler, you never know how the staff will react. The service was great, attentive and very personable. The food was served fast and hot. Would highly recommend this place and will be back next time in town.

Jay B.

Yelp
What an amazing addition to Point Pleasant! The restaurant is clean and bright and the service is top notch. Best part is the food is fantastic. I stopped by in the morning and grabbed a breakfast sandwich and a coffee from the awesome market next to the main restaurant. Coffee was great, homemade cold brew and homemade cold foam both fantastic. The breakfast sandwich was cooked perfectly, everything you'd expect from a jersey classic pork roll, egg and cheese. For lunch I had the fried chicken sandwich and I can honestly say I have not had a chicken sandwich that juicy and tasty in a really long time. I also stole a bite of the steak sandwich which was also great. Cannot wait to stop by again soon and try more things on the menu!

Judy S.

Yelp
The place is clean, decorated nicely and comfortable. We went for breakfast. Every dish seemed big: even to just get plain eggs, you got 3 eggs with meat, potatoes and toast. There was no option for one or two eggs. Going along with that, it was pricey. Breakfast for the two of us was $41 (not including tip)! My husband got eggs Benedict ($15) but he asked to change out the Canadian bacon for tomato-- then they charged an extra $2 for that! He was also disappointed in the small amount of hollandaise sauce he got. My omelet, also $15, was good, but it was just too much. Home fries were cubes that were fried (not homemade). My plain coffee was $4- but was refilled; soda was $3. Their menu had lots of variety with waffles & pancakes, but their specials were loaded with calories of stuff filled with Nutella, whipped cream, etc. They also offered avocado toast with eggs, oatmeal, and yogurt bowls. Lunch menu looked good with burgers, salads, and a chicken pot pie special but again, a little pricey. They also have a grab and go market next door with food and drinks but also things like candles. I hope they make it as I'd like to support local small businesses, but I'd have to find a way around their menu to spend less.

Patricia H.

Yelp
Great gluten free options! It's wonderful to find a place that has delicious gluten free options both in the restaurant and in the bakery. We came for brunch and I had the avocado toast on gluten free bread and it was so tasty! Then on our way out I got a gluten free chocolate chip cookie from the bakery to save for later, and it was the best gluten free cookie I've ever had! Gave my friend a piece and they couldn't believe it was gluten free! Definitely recommend and we can't wait to come back and try the dinner menu!!!

Ladyof A.

Yelp
Ended up leaving after 10 minutes of no service, cute establishment, but bad service when it comes to being served and given coffee or water to drink

Burt E.

Yelp
Had dinner there tonight. Started with the shishito peppers - delicious and plentiful! Then had the scallops over risotto. Cooked perfectly and were wonderful. Service was good and place is nice, clean and a joy! We will be back.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I feel bad for this place!! My husband and our family comes to point pleasant every summer and last year we were at Pop's multiple times a week! When we came down to the shore this year one of the things my husband and son looked forward to most was the food and experience they had to start their days off. Let me stop ANYONE who thinks this is the same this year. When we arrived this year everything was completely different, a whole bakery ( I'm not complaining about that~delicious) which leaves absolutely no room for any waiting guests! And I promise there will be a wait! On top of that when we finally did get seated we had a waitress I believe her name was Jordan or something like that, she seemed rushed and didn't have any idea what was going on. Drinks took FOREVER and when we were finally served our food everything came out messed up! My son didn't have chocolate chips in his pancakes, my husband with a completely different dish than he ordered. To say the least it was a huge disappointment! Management seemed to not care when we expressed our concerns to him. Just apologized quickly and we felt very blown off! Definitely will not be coming back to this establishment!!

Kristen K.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this new spot in Point Pleasant! There was no wait on a Sunday morning, and the service was great. We were impressed by the size of the menu. The French toast definitely deserves a shout out- it was delicious!!

Nic C.

Yelp
Always willing to try something new. Tried this place and assumed it would be your standard diner food. Plate of eggs and toast slid out in front of you with a cup of stale coffee accompanied by a fake smile from a wearied server...... boy was I wrong. The server was attentive towards ours and our children's needs (knowing the parent code). The food was unconventional, perfectly cooked and adequately portioned. Head over for some delicious breakfast/lunch.

Katie L.

Yelp
I came into Pops corner because I work from home and was looking for a new spot to get out of my house and have a nice working lunch. As soon as I walked in I loved the atmosphere, it was super clean, bright, coastal, and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious and service was on it as soon as I sat down. I started with the chicken noodle soup and the stock was super good and the noodles weren't too much - loved the broth. I also really love the pico de gallo and queso fresco on the avocado toast- the eggs were perfectly cooked over easy and the yolk melted into the yummy sourdough. I finished off with a chai latte to go. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome experience.

Dan S.

Yelp
This place has the potential to be so good. The food is inconsistent but we have had some good stuff. We've tried it a few times and want to love it, but the biggest downside is that the service is extremely lacking. Takes forever to be greated, drinks take even longer. Seems like everytime there has only been one waitress, yet multiple other people are standing around while the waitress struggles. We won't be back.

Jenna B.

Yelp
I wish I lived a little closer but I still go out of my way to get their delicious coffee drinks and egg salad. The place is beautiful and although I've only tried the take out market side I cannot wait to try the restaurant itself. I tried their egg salad while I was there and got two more containers to go. It's a must try

Sterling A.

Yelp
Nice newly remodeled place. Friendly but unskilled service. Rather overpriced lunch. Small steak sandwich on a mini role w/fries and ice tea - $22.

Frederick L.

Yelp
OK, at first we had only planned to get ice cream at Hoffman's while visiting friends at the shore. But we hadn't been to Point Pleasant Beach in a while, walked around a bit, got hungry and spotted the clean white outlines of what turned out to be a brand new spot. Friendly staff and great-looking inside. For a new place, you'd expect a glitch or a dropped ball but overall we were very happy and they had it together. I went for the "serious" steak sandwich; this is more than a cheesesteak, and cheesier too. Meat was tender, not chewy, and the mix of cheeses was tasty. My wife had the pastrami reuben on rye and was happy with it. I had a taste of the pastrami and it was quite good. Not Katz's, but hey...it was good. We shared some of the house-made chips and like them also. Staff was always willing and did a nice job answering questions, if they didn't know they went to find out. We browsed around the little market on the other side. Small selection of gifts that'd be good to bring if you're visiting, and a good choice of food to-go that you could take home, to the beach, wherever. Recommended.

Taysha B.

Yelp
A very clean and friendly environment. Very kid friendly and welcoming. Love the food and would highly recommend to everyone.

Tim T.

Yelp
Awesome new spot in Point. Farmhouse Hash Bowl with two over easy eggs is a home run of a breakfast. Great service, highly recommend.
