Talk about customer service, Stephanie is absolutely amazing. She greeted with a smile. She is approachable and friendly.. being my first time being there, she made recommendations and was patient. The Black cherry BBQ chicken Hani .is legit.. flavorable and layed.. Grilled chicken.. perfectly seasoned onion rings slaw and cheese and black cherry BBQ suace.. the sauce is sweet ..Hani bread is soft and fluffy. GOOD FOOD ,,GOOD QUALITY .. WELL COOKED

Google
Pop’s Hani shop is really taking people’s reviews into consideration and I think that’s the best thing a restaurant can do. Their employees and service were great. They were friendly and welcoming. The free cookies are a nice touch and they’re good!! The food was also good. The fried chicken in the hani is perfectly crisp. The hot dogs are split down the middle so you get the full chili experience in the coney dog. Having a local soda company as their drink supplier is a great local-supporting add, too. Thanks for a great lunch experience! :)

Google
Excellent new concept from National Coney Island. They just opened this week but are already serving up some fantastic food. The portions are very generous. Greek salad with gyro meat was wonderful as were the chili cheese fries. The pita used for the Hanis are fresh so that’s an additional bonus.

Google
A bright, airy, and clean eatery that’s very welcoming. For a chain I’m quite surprised how home cooked some of their dishes taste. I’ve had my fair share of gyros and doners over the years and this place ranks high. On each of my visits the food appears very fresh with crisp veggies and full flavored breads. The only negative that I can think of is the use more butter than I prefer on the breads. Two thumbs up!

Google
Our family went here for the first time yesterday. It is right on Woodward just south of 14 mile road. They have a sit down area inside but we ordered carry out. The spicy gilled chicken wraps were really good. $8-9 each. We also got the black cherry BBQ wrap. That was good. Their chicken lemon rice soup was good. Prices were all reasonable with good size portions. The staff was friendly and we got our food fast. We will definitely go back.

Google
Place was good for a quick bite. Passed by and wanted to give it a try. Burger was very good! The chicken wraps were decent. Amazing cheese fries

Google
Absolutely charming mom ‘n pop feel. Appreciative service (and free cookies!). Food was great and fast. Soda was unique (Brix). Prices were fair. Everything was super clean. So much fun! Will go again!

Google
Came for an early lunch. Got the kale salad, which was delicious. Dressing on the side was great to dip fries in too. Husband got the southwest wrap, which was also good. The wrap and pita make the meal! Free cookie was a little small, but ok. Tables in dining area need cleaning.

Yelp
Cool little spin off of National coney. A little pricey but got a hani, veg gyro for wife and Greek salad. Was good, not amazing but will be back. Pus they gave a few free cookies!

Jeff L.

Yelp
The food was fresh and served with a smile. The Greek could have used a bit more sauce and the OG could have used a little more cheese the fries were really good and crisp. The inside was clean and well maintained. Nice selection of pop. Nice to see something different than the same old options. The service was quick and done with a smile.

Yelp
I stopped by here on my way home from work because I love a good Hani and I was wondering what this place was all about. It's basically a quick serve restaurant - you order at the counter and they have a few tables you can eat at (although my order was "to go"). There was a bit of an issue with my order - I sat there for a long time patiently waiting for it to be ready, but eventually I was the only one in the place and the staff and I were both wondering what was going on. It turned out that they had put my order on a shelf but no one ever called my name. They were very apologetic and totally remade my order (and threw in a few free cookies). While I was waiting for it to be remade, I had a lovely chat with the general manager who shared all of the background about the store and shared her passion for well made food. As for the food..it's definitely not the same as the stuff at National Coney Island...it's a noticeable step up. I had the OG Hani, which had a very different kind of chicken and cheese and was quite tasty. My wife had the bacon avocado ranch Hani and said it tasted great! I also had the cheese fries, which are always a favorite. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other unique creations on the menu!

Yelp
I'm leaning more toward 3.5 stars than an actual 4. This new place took over the space of a place named Kalamata Street Grill. The restaurant is nice and clean and fresh after the remodel. The staff is friendly and did a great job. Looks like National Coney has developed this separate brand to take advantage of the rise of the "chicken joints". They offer chicken Hana's, a thick pita wrap wrapped around a fried or grilled chicken; a pita wrap. They also have double-patty smash burgers, hot dogs and coney dogs with typical sides. White meat chicken, grilled or deep fried, burgers, dogs and gyros. A couple of soup choices, salads, a kids menu and a selection of salads and sides round out the menu. There are even a few vegetarian choices. Its a decent menu for sure. We ordered a Spicy Southwest Hani and a burger. The spicy hani, which wasn't particularly spicy, had a nice flavor. The spicy chipotle mayo was ok and the chicken was freshly fried and good. The pita bread was also fresh and tasty. The burger was also good. Frankly it was more of a standout than was the hani. The bun was outstanding and the burger was made well with good beef and good cheese. As for value, I wasn't awfully impressed, but prices these days are high no matter where you go. With fries and a drink the total for the meal with two entrees was almost $29. If we had ordered another order of fries and another drink it would have been somewhere around $35. The hani was $10 and the burger was $12.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Super clean. Decent selection. Great bacon on the sandwich & they weren't stingy with it.

Dawn H.

Yelp
I noticed Pops Hani shop while driving on Woodward and decided to give them a try for lunch. The cashier was friendly and gave suggestions based on their most popular items. She also explained that they are under the national Coney Island franchise. I ordered 2 chicken gyro combos. They use a Brix fountain pop machine. I tasted a few options before deciding on the orange cream soda flavor. It tasted just like a cream soda. The fries were delicious. The perfect crispness and amount of salt. The gyro was flavorless. The chicken was bland and the tzatziki sauce had a weird smell. My bf & I both couldn't finish the sandwich based on the smell. I don't think I'll be back but I hope I just had a bad batch.

Sari G.

Yelp
I was excited to see something new come into this space. The chicken gyro was delicious but kind of expensive to come without fries. My husband got the Greek salad, which was also good. Priced a little high but I really liked the taste of everything.

Andy L.

Yelp
I ordered from here recently. I had the bacon ranch avocado Hani and overall it was a good sandwich. It was a bit messy and they did put it in the take out container with the pitas open side down. The people were nice and on a Sunday evening they had a good eat-in crowd too. To drink, they have Brix soda. I'd never tried Brix before and to be honest it kinda threw me off. I tried the Brix diet cola and their black cherry cream soda. They were good fountain drinks. I want to go back and try some different sandwiches and the Brix Root beer. Oh and their French fries were well done. They were fried crispy and salted just right. I was really pleased with that.

Katie M.

Yelp
Overpriced and not really anything different than you would get at a decent coney place.

Susan V.

Yelp
Yummy sandwiches , they do special orders This place is clean and great service dine in or carry out Which is what I did. It's very close. The sad news is they are closing in a week. I wish I found them sooner. Good food nice workers Enjoy while you can. And the make the best onion rings. Awesome mouthwatering - they are outstanding You have two days to try this amazing establishment before it closes

Julie B.

Yelp
The staff was friendly and helpful when answering my questions. But unfortunately I was not crazy about the Hani I ordered. I will give them another try it was still pretty new and maybe they were still figuring out their cadence.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Meh, it was just ok. Rating on service alone, they get five stars! Now, the food. The chicken is different than what they use at Nationals, and to me, that's what makes a Hani, a Hani. Well, that and the soft, fluffy pita bread. Anyway, back to the chicken. The tenders they use are different. The breading is so light that it immediately comes off. My sandwich was filled with bare chicken tenders and thin pieces of breading- very unappetizing. I'm glad people are enjoying Pop's, but it's not for me. Nationals, don't go changing a good thing.

Gaston N.

Yelp
First off I agree with all who said the staff is super nice and accommodating. I've had a Hani before from National and I don't think I was super impressed then but for some reason I figured that maybe Pops would be an upgraded version, but not really, same sandwich with different styles. I got the bacon avocado ranch hani, and mostly it tasted like a regular with bacon... didn't taste much avocado in the ranch sauce. I also got a coney, but instead of a regular coney which I was hoping for I got a grilled bun and split down the middle, non-snap dog. I'm just one of those coney purists that doesn't like my coney dog split down the middle but that just one man's opinion. The fries were nice plain fries and I received a chocolate chip cookie which is a good touch. My suggestion to Pops (because I know they're patiently waiting for my suggestions)... keep the coneys like the traditional ones at National, grill the bread on those Hani's... without grilling the pita becomes mushy when you eat the Hani and make sure those sauces are flavorful. This spinoff idea has potential.

Colin L.

Yelp
Not good. Takes forever, very average chicken, soggy pita. Been here twice. 0-2. Go literally anywhere else -- Kerby's, Leo's, etc. Anywhere else.

Allison K.

Yelp
I ordered carryout from here. I got the OG Hani and the kids jumbo dog and fries with a side of cheese. Sadly, I'm not impressed but mainly it's due to the prices. It seems I paid double for the exact same meal I could have ordered for half the cost at National Coney Island. That's pretty disappointing.

Bridget S.

Yelp
I think this place has a lot of potential. They have my favorite aspects of a coney island; Pita Wraps, burgers, Greek salads, and even burgers. The concept is great. I appreciate the fast casual setup. The sandwiches have a lot of protein. I'm really hoping they consider offering half sandwiches as I wound up throwing half of it out. We had two varieties of the chicken Hani sandwiches. The pitas were freshly made and very good. The fries were hot. However, the chicken on both of our sandwiches wasn't very warm. It also causes the shredded cheese to not melt. I think I would probably order it without cheese next time. I appreciate the side options including Cole slaw, a kale salad, and lemon rice soup. They have larger salads that perhaps we might try splitting in the future. Two combos came to right around $30.

Jill L.

Yelp
We were excited to try a new business that had a local name behind it, National Coney Island. We ordered at the counter from a friendly employee and sat down. The wait for the food was very long and I went up to the counter at one point and my order was next to be called. Ordered a chicken gyro and fries, soup and gyro for my mother-in-law. The food was not very hot and was mediocre. Plenty of restaurants in the area to go to that I know are better, won't be going back.

J J.

Yelp
We are back at Pops Hani shop for their delicious burgers, possibly the best in town. We always have good service here and it's clean and inviting. The burgers are our go to menu item I highly recommend them.

Topher C.

Yelp
The Hani is so famous at National Coney Island they gave it its own location on a busy stretch of Woodward between 14 & Maple. A lot of new options and old favorites. Casual dining at its best. Long live the Hani, often imitated, never surpassed.

Dan H.

Yelp
Best lunch spot in town. Fast and delicious. All my favorite Coney dishes in a much more convenient format. The Hanis are amazing. All of them. Just had the parm Hani with chicken and my wife got the Greek salad with chicken. A perfect combo for sharing. Prices are better than sit down and much faster/ easier.

Cookie W.

Yelp
Checked out this new spin off of National Coney Island. It is pricey compared to NCI. I got the Greek Salad which was $10 it came with beets and garbanzo bean, which I omitted. I usually get a Baby Greek with grilled chicken at NCI and it run about $10 with the added chicken and includes tomatoes. That being said Pop's salad was fresh and had lots of feta cheese and I also liked the pepper rings instead of the whole pepperoncini they serve on the Greek salad at NCI. I also ordered the Traditional Gyro at $9.75. It was large with generous portions of meat. Cut in half and I shared it. It was fresh and very tasty. I have ordered the gyro $7 at NCI and it was good but Pop's won this battle! Bottom line - Fresh, tasty ingredients, but a little pricey.

Spencer H.

Yelp
Total rip.. a basic, they call it "OG", meal cost over $16. Sandwich was nothing special and the fries sucked... Can get better at national for $4 less. The kicker was- sauce isn't included or offered. Just not worth it..

Melissa W.

Yelp
Not bad but not great. We tried the parm and the OG hanis and a side of cheese fries. The food came out pretty fast and yet was luke warm. The sandwiches were ok, but the bread would have been better if it was grilled a bit as it was too soft. The chicken was tasty (we got the crispy). The parm had good flavors over all with the basil and the sauce. The cheese fries were drenched in cheese. If you don't like that, I'd recommend getting it on the side. They serve some soda brand that I've never heard of, not the best. The service was pretty good.

Chris C.

Yelp
Good Food & Fast, Efficient Service. Have had the Hani (famous for) tasty and fresh. Their fries taste fresh not frozen and they have no coating like a lot of fries these days. Also have had a Burger and that was also very good. Well worth a try or many tries.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Greek Salad. Chickpeas are the best there. Good location and view of Woodward. Right near work.

J M.

Yelp
Disappointing! Will America ever return to pre-pandemic work ethic? Where are all the hustlers? Sunday staff still needs to work through, prep and bagging process. With 6 staff members working, there was a lot of confusion for a not so busy day. With a limited menu, wait time were excessive- Already knew a repeat visit was not possible. Arrived home and disappointed again. Hanis were not rolled and fell apart when removed from box, shredded cheese was not malted, and too much oil on bread, soaked in oil. Soup was burned at bottom of pan and ended up in my bowl. All around disappointing experiences.

Patrick Charles R.

Yelp
I got the OG wrap. the service was good but the wrap was one of the worst wraps i've ate in my life. this is disappointing because i've always been a huge fan of nationals and their hanis. extremely disappointed in the quality of food.

Bianca A.

Yelp
SO good! I'd recommend no tomatoes because their tomatoes are watery. The OG you cannot go wrong with. I was surprised it had some not great reviews it's so fresh and 100 times better than a normal Coney Island

Amanda P.

Yelp
This place is relatively new and I found both positives and negatives. The staff I thought were incredible - super polite, friendly, and clearly wanting customers to have a great experience. Definitely 5 stars for service. The Greek salad was pretty good and I overheard some rave reviews from others for the sandwiches and other items like chicken tenders, so I think their menu seems solid and likable. Unfortunately they are serving food in disposable containers for dine-in (cardboard for sandwiches but plastic for cups, salads, and cutlery.) I hope they are able to change this to reusable products at some point in time once they are up and running!

Yousif A.

Yelp
Good food Friendly service Ambiance is very relaxed and open Nice and welcoming atmosphere

Christina G.

Yelp
The service is 5 star. The hani is not! At least not for me. I went expecting the O.G. to be a traditional National Coney Island hani. As many others have mentioned, the cheese and chicken are both different than a hani from National. The cheese was a shredded mixture of cheddar (like Kraft shredded cheese) and no Swiss. The chicken was a bit dry/hard and combined with the cheese it was lackluster. I'm glad others enjoy the changes but if you're looking to enjoy the hani you know and love from National, just go to National.

Lynn I.

Yelp
Black Cherry BBQ hani was so good. Service was fast and the personnel very friendly. It was so flavorful I am glad I got it with the grilled chicken .

Brady D.

Yelp
Brand new and very clean with friendly staff. Prices were a bit high and the food was just ok.

L F.

Yelp
We had a very pleasant time at Hani's thanks to Stephanie. She went out of her way to inform us about options and GF choices. The Gyro I had was fresh, tasty and I loved the tzatziki along side it. I also recommend the cheese fries. Then Stephanie came back to ask us if we liked our food. Really kind and caring. Thank you Stephanie!

Chris L.

Yelp
Great food and service. Definitely a step up from the previous Kalamata Grill. National Coney did a good job with this concept and glad they used more quality ingredients compared to the usual hanis.

Rachel M. Sacco S.

Yelp
really yummy food, really nice staff + free cookie. also was very clean
