Google
Not exactly what I expected. The post says they have tables where you can sit and eat but there wasn't. One small stand and bench was all there was. Other people were a little disappointed also. Pizza was pretty good. Very crispy crust. Meat lover and Buffalo Chicken were tasty. The price of the pizza was expensive but it was somewhat worth it, I guess. Service was not so good. It was busy but that doesn't give a right to be rude.

Google
One of the best slices of pizza I got in New York definitely delicious definitely a must try it was a floppy piece of pizza but tasty service was good its down the street from central park if your in the area definitely get some pizza

Google
Loved the pizza! Super fresh, crisp crust, delicious flavor. Do not expect to sit down and eat- it’s a counter service take out window! You can order in advance or get slices fresh! The team is amazing and super friendly! They provided paper plates, napkins and even filled up a little tub of Mike’s Hot Honey for us!! We took our pizza back to our hotel!

Google
Pops Pizza. So back in March, it was pleasantly warm, and it definitely called for some outdoor fun followed by pizza. Central Park is my favorite place to watch the geese. (Which I was fortunate to do back then) Pops Pizza on West 57th Street has the most delicious Hawaiian Slices with a tangy tomato sauce, bacon, pineapple and mozzarella. Mmm... it was a huge slice. Maybe it was the warm weather but it was really good.

Google
By far the best pizza place in New York City.. Better than scars better than Joe's it's literally the best. I wish they got the same recognition as everybody else did cuz they deserve to succeed. It's that good. 🙏✅✅✅ Thank you guys.

Octavia

Google
Margarita pizza was our favorite! We could taste basil, garlic, and oregano. Saucy, cheesy, savory. We arrived like 10 minutes before closing and cleared out a few of the leftover pizzas. The cheese pizza was also so good (a favorite of one member of our party). The pepperoni pizza was better left over somehow. It was my first New York slice and the rest of my parties’ nth NY slice! The guy giving us the pizzas was a cool dude and funny.

Google
Amazing pizza, I highly recommend the margherita pizza, it's probably one of the best I've ever tried. I'm not surprised there's a line there. But they have a very quick turnaround, less than 5 minutes

Google
Really tasty pizza spot near Columbus Circle, the vodka pizza slice was gorgeous and we came back another day to get a full pie. Best slice in NYC!

Yelp
[Food] - Vodka Sauce ($6.95): Yum! Crust was thin and crispy. Sauce was perfectly sweet and savory! [Service] - Friendly & helpful [Ambiance] - A small little shop where you order inside, pay, then pick up at the other window under a small canopy [Overall] - Would come back again to try their other slices!

Yelp
Close to the park and as good as it gets for a low key, sidewalk slice. We were at the playground in CP and yelped what was the best pizza around and this came up. We also noticed that several families had whole pies from this place at the park so we knew it had to be good. My son still talks about this place. He isn't a pizza aficionado but he likes what he likes and he loves this place. My wife got a slice she liked so much that she got another one

Yelp
Excited to discover this "hole in the wall" Pop's Pizza, around the corner from Columbus Circle. The slice looked great and size for $3 bucks in this neighborhood was a good deal. My fresh basic slice came out quickly. That being said, while the crust was excellent for a classic New York slice, the rest disappointed with barely any flavor - possibly only faintly of cheese. (Perhaps just a bit more sauce or seasonings in the sauce would help!) As is, Pop's Pizza's cheese slice is world's worth the extra compared to one of those $0.99/1.50 awful options you may find close by! For me, I'm likely to opt for something elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
Is this place new? Has it changed recently? How have I never heard of this? No seriously, this may be the best pizza in the Columbus circle area. You may not see something uniquely exceptional about them at first glance, but their fundamentals are as solid as anywhere and once you actually go you'll appreciate how delicious it is. Their crust has a perfect tender yet structured texture. Their toppings are familiar yet paired intelligently with some combinations I don't often see elsewhere (peperoni-jalapeño and mushroom-spinach are two favorites). Their sauce is good (and crucially not too sweet), and the service is quick, easy, and pleasant. If you're looking for lunch or dinner on the go anywhere in the upper 50s on the west side give pop's a try, you won't be disappointed. Note, no seating, it's grab and go (or eat at their outdoor counter).

Yelp
Solid place for an NYC pizza slice, easy, quick, hot, and fast. We were able to grab some slices and garlic knots on our way back from a show. Service was friendly, the space is small, just big enough to step inside and order your pizza and pay at the register, grab some drinks, and go. There's a small counter at the window in case you need to pick up your order or want to eat and that's about it.
google avatar

Elise B.

Yelp
Wanted some quick slices of pizza & made a stop here. I chose cheese, meat lover, and bbq chicken for slices and garlic knots. The inside is small- there's slough space to look at the pizzas and order at the counter. If you want to eat they have a standing table outside or take it to go. They popped the slices and garlic knots in the oven so they were hot. The garlic knots are on the bigger size. My favorite slice was the meat lover because of all the flavor with each bite.
google avatar

Marco L.

Yelp
Tiny restaurant. Friendly and quick service. Pizza is quite good, and there is a good variety of options. Will definitely visit again.
google avatar

Bob L.

Yelp
Really good pizza spot that was near where I was staying. Highlight for me was the cheese slice as it was delicious despite its simplicity. Great chew on the crust as well. I also got the buffalo chicken which was also pretty good if you're into that type of slice. Finally I also ordered the pepperoni square slice which was okay. While the crust was good, I felt the dough to sauce/cheese ratio was a bit too much on the dough side. For me I'd stick to the slices. Definitely will be back next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Bubu N.

Yelp
Vodka pizza very flavorful, fresh, and thin crust. No line, easy to order, and delicious!! There's small tables you can stand and eat your pizza with some cheese, pepper, etc outside. Probably one of my favorite pizza places so far
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Amazing service and love the owners' commitment to customer experience! Shoutout the unique green pepper pizza- so thankful!
google avatar

Hajir S.

Yelp
Really decent pizza near Central Park. Love the meat lovers and the Pepperoni Jalapeno. It's small and there's no seating, but there's lots of places nearby to eat, or you can stand at the counters. I do wish it was open later as the 10pm close time makes it hard for those of us who want a late night pizza. The business is certainly there, but not for me to decide.
google avatar

Dana C.

Yelp
Very typical New York City pizza joint in terms of decor. Big slices, same price as everywhere else in the area. I tried the margherita and it tasted pretty good. A little too salty for my taste.
google avatar

Sara A.

Yelp
Love this spot. I come here every time I'm in NY. The pizza is delicious and I love the variety they have. It is so well made and like $4-5/slice but worth it. They have a stand up outdoor counter you can eat at or take it to go.
google avatar

Jocelyn T.

Yelp
Amazing pizza to pick up and eat in Central Park! I thought their vodka slice was really good with big pieces of mozzarella. The pepperoni slices were yummy too and very huge.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
Stopped here for a slice after walking around Central Park and I really enjoyed their pizza! We ordered the jalapeño pepperoni and the meat lovers. The jalapeños they had were actually kind of sweet to me rather than spicy, but I still liked it! Their crust is perfectly thin and crispy and I love all the toppings they put! Service is quick, they reheat all your slices for you. They have a little stand outside for people to stand and eat outside of their shop.
google avatar

Mana G.

Yelp
Omg this is the greatest pizza in NY!!!! Truly!!! Super thin crust, plentiful ingredients, kind service! It was light enough that it didn't spike blood sugar and entirely delicious!
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
The perfect slice on the go! After a long walk through Central Park, we popped in here for a bite. There's a stand outside if you want to stand and eat with friends on the street. This spot delivered everything you want in a NY slice, minus the long lines at the tourist traps. We tried the garlic white and pepperoni with jalapeño--both were delicious. I'm already craving my next slice.
google avatar

Joseph B.

Yelp
I felt so bad when I called to see if they sold by the slice. I tried to find info on it on Yelp but struggled seeing any new information about it. So alas, I went there for science and to try this place out. Walking distance from our hotel, it took just a few minutes to get there. They had so many options for by the slice and settled on 4 different ones. Honestly, enjoyed every single slice with the spinach one coming in as our favorites. They now have two locations so if you decide to order online, make sure you go to the right one. Come give some love to this place and get some great New York style pizza.
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
This is a very classic NYC grab and go, stand by the ledge while you eat a massive pizza spot! We got 2 pizzas and they were both very different. The vodka pizza is thicker and crunchier while the pepperoni was thinner with the flavor growing in each bite. Each slice was about $6 (not sure what pizza economics are) but the portions for each slice were massive!
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
Pop's Pizza the name drew me in!!! With some much pizza shops lining up and down. Pop's Pizza is a small place right around the corner from many Broadway theatres. The pizza was pretty good. I usually like a certain amount of grease and oil on a thin crust pizza but this had more oil than normal. It was dripping as I picked up the slice and the paper plate was covered with oil by the time I was done. I wished I had taken a picture of the plate. A little too much oil but the slice was still pretty tasty.
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
What can I say. Quick and delicious New York slice! I miss home just for the pizza alone! I can still taste it ! Spicy but still manageable on the palate! Delicious
google avatar

Qiongqiong M.

Yelp
I was only motivated to go to the Central Park for snow bc I can grab pizza from this place. 5/5 for the price and delicious food. One slice filled me up! It was quick service. Limited standing space but people eat quick! Again, great pizza!
google avatar

Jason F.

Yelp
I'm officially ruined. New York pizza is better. And this is the best "by the slice" place I've been to. Dough is wonderfully crispy, sauce is sweet. Simple, fast, polite walk up and walkout service. No frills. Order, pay, get on your way.
google avatar

Serafim P.

Yelp
Decent New York style pizza: 1. More Mexican than Italian. 2. Thin crispy crust, cheesy, greasy, perfect size. 3. Price: $5.5 per slice.
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
A solid NYC slice shop serving up super thin slices through a window. Service is efficient and to the point but friendly. The crust is good and super thin with just the right amount of crisp. My only issue is that the sauce is a tad too sweet. But for a quick cheap lunch on the fly, it fits the bill.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
If you are looking for service this is not the place. If you are looking for good pizza, you found Pops. There is no restroom at Pops and you can stand at the sidewalk to eat or swallow your pizza like a seal. There is an up charge of you pay by credit card. There is nothing that mentions the up charge we noticed on the receipt. The staff talent is to prepare pizza not chat with the customer. O tried it but I don't think I'll be back. So many other great places out there is New York.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Great little pizza spot serving classic New York style pizza with crispy crust. They have a small covered stand on the street for eating on the run and enjoying the hustle and bustle of NYC. We even saw a bus driver pull over and grab a slice! Only in New York.
google avatar

Fahya R.

Yelp
Great delicious pizza near our NYC apartment. The staff is always friendly and kind. Cute little grab and go pizza spot. They have an outdoor covered counter you can stand and eat your pizza. This place is my go to when in the city.
google avatar

Kaitlyn N.

Yelp
Delicious, crust was crispy and burrata tasted so fresh. There was a bit of a wait, only because we ordered 3 full pizzas, not just slices so it was super fresh!
google avatar

Joe G.

Yelp
Great NY style pizza with okay pricing and maybe a little too greasy but that's good. It is an order and stand outside place which is absolutely fine as this is our go to pizza place when near south central park.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Good New York slice - jalepeno pepperoni. Quick and hot and delicious. No inside space, small counter to eat at outside.
google avatar

Antonio L.

Yelp
This was my first try of an authentic NY pizza. I was here in NY for a work trip. Not a lot of time to galavant around the city to try the foodie places that I found highly recommended. But I was walking around to places that were a priority, and this little place was on my route. Every bit of foodie research I did said you must try a slice of NY pizza. This place is literally a hole in the wall. Dining area is outside, on the street and a wood shack. Gotta give it to them for at least providing an eating space for a city that doesn't have space so they have to build up! Anywho, I tried the meat pizza and garlic knots with marinara. It was a thin crust pizza. Omg, so yummy. Not so meaty, but it has the fair amount of meat. The garlic knots were a bit on the dry side, but dipped in the sauce it was a party in your mouth. Not really, but a great combination. The service was awesome. The guys there were cool and service was fast. Even when I was trying to look for the trash outside, the guy inside directed me to come back into the store to throw away my trash. Thank you!

Yelp
During our short visit to the East Coast, the one thing I had to have was my style pizza and this one caught my eye being so close to where we were in central park. It was a blistering hot day but that didn't deter me from my craving for a hot slice. The shop is tiny allowing maybe 2-3 customers to the register to order. They ran out of pepperoni so I opted for the Marguerite. Slices were just $5 + tax and huge! It was ready in 3 min and you can take it to a standing only covered area by the side of the road where there are napkins, garlic powder and oregano. The pizza was nice and hot with the perfect amount of sauce and a great crunch to the crust. Nothing compares to NY Pizza!
google avatar

Lily K.

Yelp
Favorite by the slice spot in the area. Great service and food comes out very quick. Don't miss out on their garlic knots - they're delicious! Huge slices as well.
google avatar

Margaret S.

Yelp
First review of 2024! We stopped by this little hole in the wall for a quick slice on our way to work and were not disappointed. The slices are large, crispy (the way we like them) and they weren't cheap on the extra cheese. Well spent $11 on two slices; pepperoni and extra cheese. I would definitely come back here next time I want something quick on 57th st.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
This place is teeny. Tiny. Both itsy and bitsy. But it was delicious. They were friendly and they satisfied a bunch of hungry, tired Manhattan explorers. And more importantly, they introduced us to Grandma pizza. The interweb says that Grandma pizza is a thin crust but after our introduction at Pop's we had it a couple more times on the East Coast and it was always thick crust. Pop's version was simple and tasty and wonderful, just a little tomato sauce and cheese on delicious crust. We happily stood on the sidewalk and inhaled our new discovery and walked away satisfied and far, far happier.
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
Great pizza. Perfect crust. Best is their Margherita Pizza. Ample cheese, basil and their good sauce.
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
I'm not joshing, one of the best New York slices I've ever had in the city. My expectations were low but wow I was stunned. I'd come back here easy. I got one marinara slice. It's is a sweet delicious bite. The oil on top and he thin, chewy crust is such a combo. The dollops of marinara are delicious. I loved every bite of this. Well seasoned. It's a tiny space inside, no tables. There is an outside section to eat under, no tables or chairs. Service is quick. My slice was warm.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Best pizza I ever had. 10/10, and worth a visit if you're in the area. I had the jalapeño pepperoni and a vodka pie slice. Vodka pie not pictured because we ate it to quickly. If you're planning to eat there, just keep in mind that it is standing room only, and it's outdoor. Might want to do take out if it's too cold.
google avatar

Tahseen H.

Yelp
Cute little pizza place. One slice is bigger than my head tbh. Definitely worth it. It's delicious and the service is amazing. They are so nice!!
google avatar

Andrew K.

Yelp
Stopped in for a slice after 9 mile bike around central park.wife had the spinach and mushroom and I had the meat lovers.. crust was nice and thin and bottom crisp and hot. Not too much cheese or toppings which was good. Only drawback was no place to chill while we ate. Overall 9 out of 10
google avatar

Larissa B.

Yelp
Decent slice of pizza in midtown east. The foods ready fast, comes out piping hot and there's a good variety of options for vegetarians and even vegans. There's no seating fyi but there is a sheltered stand on the street where you can eat standing. The spinach mushroom was pretty good, sauce evenly spread and not too heavy, but the margherita can be passed on. The cheese is too heavy, sauce only in those puddles. Usually it's the opposite, sauce spread and cheese in puddles. Great for a quick slice, but def not the best slice around.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
Recommended to me as the best place to get a New York slice on the street. It did not disappoint. It was cold and wet and rainy, but they've got a little kiosk outside that you can stand under and they even have some condiments and napkins out there. The crust was kind of amazing. Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly.

Caitlin G.

Yelp
Best NYC pizza!! Went on a pizza day all over NYC and Pops Pizza was our favorite. The pizzas were very hot and fresh, had great crunch and so much flavor. The customer service was also amazing! Can't wait to visit when back in NYC!!
google avatar

Walter R.

Yelp
Good, quick, easy, and affordable, "by the slice" pizza. Better than most of the 99 cent slice vendors, but not quite as good as the higher end Italian restaurants in this area. No seating at all, but there is a covered area out front to stand and enjoy your slice.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
Average slice of za. Can find same quality for less than half price on any street corner. Location to Central Park was convenient.
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
New York has great pizza. And when New Yorkers go for pizza, they go to Pop's! Nothing more needs saying! Yes the line is long. Yes it's more than worth the wait! You won't be disappointed. Get a slice or get a whole pie!
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
The white garlic pizza was by far my favorite! Friendly staff. Clean place to stand and eat.

J M.

Yelp
Really not good. Not good anything. Sauce has no flavor, slices aren't heated up enough, service is rude and awful, even for Manhattan. Prices ridiculous for the mediocre to poor pizza. Really wanted to like this place based on the pictures but it was not good. Go elsewhere. $1.50 pizza is better.
