What a find!! We happened to be going next door to the Brewer's Kitchen and when I looked in the window, I audibly gasped. This has to be one of the BEST, most well curated collections of MCM and vintage in the country. The furniture was incredibly well preserved and unique. The clothing was the stuff dreams are made of - and having been to shops in NYC and SF, this one has much better quality clothing and apparel. The glass was absolutely spectacular. Prices were fair and owner was willing to work with us, which is fantastic. Compared to the typical antique mall where you can have trash and treasure, this shop is all treasure. There isn't a garbage piece in the entire place. Again, prices are REASONABLE which on top of the quality makes this a MUST STOP. It didn't come up during our antique search and for good reason, this is a true vintage shop. Antiques are found here but it's styled and merchandised like a fancy step into the past. Our best stop during our trip to KC!! 10/10.

Greg and Ray are more than helpful. Knowledge of all inventory. Fantastic 1950-70s MCM home furnishings, accessories, fashion, decorative art, decorations. Bake wear, swung glass, walnut woods, jewelry, retro, vintage!! Oh My!! I want it all!!

By far my favorite spot for curated mid century home goods. Love the selection of lamps, wall art and furniture of all kinds. Quite a few showrooms and they have good clothes and kitchenware as well.

One word: WOWZA! This place has the ginchiest finds imaginable for any lover of Mid-Century Modern and vintage decor. I found myself running to the Broyhill Brasilia, all the drum shade and swag lamps, having to keep myself from drooling all over! Prices weren't bad at all, but not too cheap. The pieces shown are very quality driven and curated. Definitely have some spending cash ready!

One of the absolute best, most curated vintage furniture stores in KC. While the furniture can get pricey, there is plenty of affordable art and ephemera covering most price ranges.

Owner sold me this shade for $20. It was in sad, dirty shape, and he'd been planning to clean and re-stitch it for a long time. But not ever finding the time, he was nice enough to let me have a go at it. Turned out well. Great place for MCM and owner is a good soul.

This place was a dream! It can be so challenging finding great mid-century modern furniture and this is THE place to go for it. We felt like everything was reasonably priced and we enjoyed the quality of items. Unlike many of the other vintage stores, this place feels more 'curated'. Don't pass it up!

This place is a gem! Vintage leathers, furs, clothing. Mid century modern furniture. Local artisan goods for sale...I love getting lost in here on a weekend. The staff are kind and you can tell they love their job. Great place to grab a coffee and browse. I've bought a dresser and some art from here and have been super happy with my purchases--always refer friends here!

I stumbled across this store and I am so happy I did. I had limited time but I walked through the space and there is so many pieces for the eye to take in. I can't wait to go back and find my perfect lamp or furniture piece. This a fun store and beautiful arranged. They have a friendly staff. It also seemed there was a section of vintage clothing that from a distance it all looked amazing.

All I can say is WOW! If you love retro and mid century modern then this is the place! Huge range of items!

An awesome mid-century modern furniture and home furnishings store that has something for everyone's budget, although he has quite a selection of more high end pieces that are restored. For example there are armchairs that range from $150-$1200. It is in a clean, stylish atmosphere filled with tons of carefully curated goods. Greg, one of the owners was very helpful with my purchase and was able to tell us a lot about several of his pieces.

If you're looking for great mid-century modern furniture, then this is the place! There's so much to look at and choose from. Very clean and well put together! The staff are very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

My husband and I love this shop. Such cool mid-century and contemporary furniture, lamps, and accessories!!! It is our new weekly "go-to spot". We recently purchased a mid-century ranch and have found so many things to furnish it with at Populuxe!!! They have a great eye for their merchandise and get new things in regularly. Their items are always good quality and compared to many similar establishments, you do not have to wade through a bunch of junk to find a treasure...the treasures are right there the minute you walk in the door! The staff is so friendly!! They are helpful, always make you feel comfortable, remember you and your name, and are never pushy or overbearing. We love this place! Dan & Cher

First there's the view from the street. You'll have no choice but to pull over. Then you enter. It's wall to wall tastefully staged Mid-century GORGEOUS. Furniture for dining, serving, lounging. Lighting, wall art, ceramics, sculpture, music, speakers, jewelry, rugs and more. Unique finds and great customer service. Populuxe has that WOW factor.

This is an amazing store that keeps changing with new and exciting things in it all the time. I was there looking around for the December First Friday weekend. There are wonderful tables and chairs along with paintings and art. Need a couch or stylized chair-they have it! How about a lamp to distinctively light your area-it's there! And if you need unique smells to go along with the great furniture, ask about their candles at the front desk where all of the jewelry is. This store has it all! It's just amazing.
