Pork Roll Store

I was expecting a more "traditional " butcher shop, but found most meat is pork roll in some format. I will never eat a "regular " hot dog again, having enjoyed the pork roll hot dogs! The sliced pork roll is perfectly seasoned, and I look forward to opening the package on my German-style ring bologna.

If you're a fan of bacon and pork roll.... Found this place by accident. Made it a point to visit, asap. There're several refrigerated cases with various sausage and meat products for sale. I came specifically for the home made pork roll. Got 2 packs of slices. Also got a pack of pork roll 'hot dogs'. Then there was the home made bacon, OMG!! I wanted it all, but chose the double smoked slab. All of it was excellent quality.

One of the gems from back when you were a kid! One of the best places to get your pork roll and other specialties (Kielbasa, Perogies, Potato Latkes) and the folks that run the place are very nice!

I've lived in the area most of my life & never knew this place existed! Went here for the first time yesterday. Bought pork roll, kielbasa, pork roll hot dogs & potato pancakes (thanks to the Pork Roll Princess for helping us find those!). Decided to try the pork roll for dinner last night. OMG...will NEVER buy pork roll at the grocery store ever again! We'll be back to purchase more. Can't wait to try the rest of the items we bought. If you haven't been here, put it on your bucket list. You won't regret it!

I stopped by here to try their Johnston Pork Roll (thank you YouTube for leading me here). This one does NOT curl up when I cooked their Pork Roll slices (so cutting the iconic edges is not necessary for this brand). Texture and flavor is outstanding! Definitely can tell it is made by hand and not overly processed like other Pork Roll/Taylor Ham brands. Goes very well with eggs and white rice. Their kielbasa on a stick is really good too. Definitely going back to get another 6 pounder (or 3 pounder) when my family finishes it.

This is the place for home-made Jersey pork roll. They also have a selection of other store made products, such as hotdogs, burgers, & sausages, including, pork roll hotdogs! Now, that's a Jersey thing for sure! The prices aren't too bad considering the current economy & times. They also have other items for sale, including a variety of sauces. It's a family-owned business with a family-owned feel. Just local good people with good local food. If you're in the area, stop in. And, if not, it's worth the trip to the store.

Meats were very over-priced. Pork roll did not taste like original pork roll I had in the 70's.

Two stars are for the friendly couple who run this store. Otherwise, it's completely empty including the meat cases and shelves. I don't know what happened here but ever since the original owners passed away, it's gone downhill. We purchased some pork roll, both sliced and in the shape of hot dogs. I've never seen so much fat when cooking pork roll. The pan was full of grease drippings. Pork roll was tasteless as well. Some of the prepackaged meat like the ready to eat kielbasa sticks smelled sour after opening so we threw them out. Asked for rolls but they didn't order any that day. The spicy sausage skin peeled off when cooking and ended up being a pile of mush. Trashed that too. We hate wasting money in this expensive economy but the products were not edible. They have nothing on the store shelves or in the meat cases as advertised and were told we can place an order. No thanks Finally, they have a small chest freezer with frozen items that looked old and freezer burned. I really didn't want to give this store a bad review as I've been here several times and the daughter and husband who run it now are delightful. But, it's almost as it's a front for something else.

First time going to The Pork Roll Store in quite awhile. Stopped in before going to my friends house to watch my 49ers destroy the Eagles and needed something to bring. They put together an awesome kielbasa tray with horseradish and it was perfect!!! Thanks again for putting together the tray at the last minute! Will definitely be back soon!!!

AMAZING PORK ROLL! You must stop in today if you want fresh meats. The Italian sausage the best I have ever tasted! Friendly helpful staff. You must stop in and ask to speak to the Pork Roll Princess Robby. Robby helped me with my holiday order all cut and seleted to perfection! Don't pass this store without stopping! As for Betty D of Creamridge my experience was not as yours. The products are just as amazing as they were when JAY and JEAN were alive! The business is still just as passionately run and products exceptional as the orginal owners. I think it is amazing that it is still a family run business. You should give them another try.

Great selection of Porkroll, Bacon, Ham, and much more. Staff is very nice and attentive. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back!

Love this place! Don't go in with expectations. Just experience it. Limited hours so make sure you check. Never had pork roll until I moved here 2 years ago and theirs exceede what I expected. They sell a variety or shapes and sizes of pork roll from traditional discs, to logs, to hot dogs etc. Their meat is excellent We fell in love with their hamburgers which are ground weekly with no fillers or spice added. Looks different from the shiny red stuff you see in the supermarket and tastes different making you realize this is what a hamburger should taste like. We love the Italian sasauge which just tastes fresh. They have different products everytime you walk in but always seem to be able to get whatever you need. Love what we call the surprise cooler, a freezer chest in front that when you open it you never know if you are going to get excellent pierogis or excellent potato pancakes or both. Yes the store is much to large for what they sell but who cares. The family who runs the place for over 100 years are the most delightful people and part of the experiece is spending some time chatting with them. Go in there try it out! Make sure you check the hours.

My boyfriend and I are big porkroll people. We've searched high and low for the best one in jersey. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PORK ROLL WEVE EVER EATEN!!! This hidden gem needs to make it to the food network, honestly it's amazing. If you get a chance to take a trip DO SO! I live a little further away so now we will definitely get porkroll and other meats delivered from here because we both love it so much!

NOT AS ADVERTISED I went there because I past it on my way back to my RV from Philadelphia and wanted to to see what they had. I looked them up on the internet and was excited by the images and the listed menu items. I went back with my wife and was disappointed when I walked into the store to find all the refrigerated shelves empty. They had their famous pork roll in a deli display which I bought to bring back to GA. They said you can order anything they show on line but I am skeptical based on what I saw in the store.

Lived next to this shop almost my whole life and never entered it till now. Before doing so I was excited to maybe get some nice cut of steaks, chicken, etc. Based off of photos they show for the store. Sadly when you walk in, the store is very warm and nothing but complete empty meat cases and shelves can be seen everywhere. They only had some stuff in a deli case such as the pork roll, sausages and hot dogs. None of these meats pictured throughout social media. Totally misleading to customers from what they show on there website and Facebook page. How are they still open? On a side note the gentleman working in there was extremely nice.

I have lived in the Allentown/ Cream Ridge area most of my life and have never entered this store until earlier this week. DO NOT LET THE NAME FOOL YOU! This places has a great deal more then pork roll. The hand cut bacon is out of this world.

Amazing, authentic homemade smoked meats. Their kielbasa and garlic bacon was full of flavor and of course the pork roll was awesome!! The people there are even better than the products. Family run business with a homey feel. They treated my just like family. Definitely going back.

Yes, it is a blast from the past, as one reviewer writes, but it's also the real deal. Authentic pork roll, sausage and kielbasa that you just can't get anywhere else. If you prefer hand made traditional food over over-processed supermarket fodder then give this place a try (and fill your freezer).

Tried the Pork Roll today with eggs, home fires and rye toast. Wow! Very wow!! I see why they won the taste test at the Pork Roll Festival. My new brand of choice.

I went to this store and I swear on my life I thought it was a scene from like a zombie movie or something. The entire place was practically empty. There was almost nothing on the shelves, most of what little meat they had was brown and sketchy-looking, there were only two people working there and the entire place had a really nasty smell to it.
