"Lechon reigns supreme at this restaurant specializing in the art of oven roasting soft sucking pig. Better known for catering huge Filipino parties and boodle fight banquets, you can also stop into Porky’s for a quick combo meal from their hot bar full of FIlipino favorites from Tuesday through Sunday." - Mario A. Ordered ‘Monster’, BoodleChon! Lechon was crispy, cooked to perfection. Calamari was delicious. Thank you, Porky’s Lechon Team! I Look forward to ordering again!

This was the best lechon I have ever had! The crispy skin and juicy tender meat has me still dreaming about it. Other favorites were the Milk Fish, spare ribs and Bisteak. I can’t wait to go back! First time doing Boodle Feast and it exceeded my expectations.

I ordered Lechon on my mom’s 92 birthday, We did in Zarlitos Restaurant and the Lechon is raw, very disappointed.. we have 50 guests relatives get together for raw Lechon? We love Lechon but not raw…I’m not happy.. I ordered Large Cebu style…I wish I can post the picture here…what do you think if that happened to them?

This is a great place to taste authentic Filipino Lechon. The servings are huge! The delicious mouth-watering flavor will make you want to come back for more. Don't go anyplace else! Thank you to owners Mike and Karen!

Google
This tint National City gem offers great old-fashioned food. The service was really good party of the show is watching the owners interact with each other. Additionally, due to the high volume, I would suggest you order your needs and wants online so the stor does not run out of your needs and wants.

When we think about celebrations, Porky’s Lechon is always our first option. Hospitable hosts, delicious foods and beautiful presentation as always and I might say they have the best Lechon ever! I highly recommend it to everyone!👍👍👍

I placed the order last Wednesday March 31st for a 1 whole lechon belly to be picked up on April 4th at 12:30pm. We drove from Los Angeles to San Diego to pickup the order. We arrived at 12noon & noticed a lot of people are waiting in line. So I waited until 12:30pm but unfortunately a lady told people in line at 12:10 that they ran out of lechon belly & it will take another 45mins. I waited until 12:50pm & no lechon belly plus people are already agitated because they are waiting for their orders. People started not respecting the line so I lost my turn. I decided to leave empty handed. Management didn’t handle the crowd very well. They hide inside not telling everyone what’s going on plus management didn’t give a waiting number for everyone so that people doesn’t need to break in line just to ask the people inside the restaurant. Such a very bad experience & I won’t recommend this place at all. On our way home to Los Angeles Mike the owner called me apologizing for what happened. He even said he is willing to deliver a whole lechon to us in Los Angeles on our wedding anniversary April 8th. I accepted the offer. Today is April 8th he came all the way from San Diego to deliver his delicious lechon. Thank you so much for the lechon Mike 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Your lechon is really delicious 🤤 🤤🤤🤤 We are delighted and thankful for your good customer service 👍👍👍👍 Wish I could post photos of your delicious Lechon here .. but I will do it on Yelp 😍😍😍😍 no

Yelp
Food is always fresh, their lechon is really good. There are some entrees that could e tweaked a bit more, but that's based on personal taste. I gave it 4 stars because the area could be a bit wider for customers and sit down for those that want to sit and eat. The place is clean. The owner is very friendly and professional.

Yelp
I ordered Lechon at Porky's Lechon for my Mother's Birthday, everybody's excited to the Lechon when starting eating, everybody's disappointed because the Lechon is not cooked all the way... we only eat the skin, but 60 people not enough for skin only, everyone scared to eat the meat.. Raw pork is dangerous to your health... I'm not happy, very disappointed... very.. Disappointed..

Yelp
Took my mom here for our Saturdate. People were very nice. They were very busy cooking for party trays. They only have 3 tables inside for people to eat in and one of the tables are occupied with pre-ordered lechon. Food was pretty decent. Lechon sisig was a little bland. Lechon was very crunchy and delish. The best dish was the lechong paksiw. Overall, decent. Cant eat here all the time though. I feel like my heart is clogging just looking at all the lechon.

Yelp
All I can say is "superb" service specially mike and Karen, they are very helpful and I love their food specially the lechon

Alessa Joy G.

Yelp
I went with my family and not only did they have the friendliest owner and staff, the food was amazing. Especially the LECHON it was really good. They do an awesome job at making authentic filipino food that will make you feel like you are back home in the PH. The restaurant was very welcoming and I will definitely come back with my family and this place is highly recommended.

Yelp
This is a great place to taste authentic Filipino Lechon. The servings are huge! The delicious mouth-watering flavor will make you want to come back for more. Don't go anyplace else!

Yelp
We had my grandson's graduation party on Saturday, June 1st at Mast Park in Santee and I had ordered a whole lechon at This place, Porky's lechon and it was the best ever. Mike the owner was so helpful and pleasant to talk to, he precut the lechon and put it together that it looks beautiful. I had over 100 guest and heard all positive words about the lechon. It was awesome. I also ordered lumpia and pancit that was ordered from them and they were also very good. Actually we had a lot of food but these 3 items were completely gone first. I would recommend Porky's Lechon to anyone. When I have another party for sure I will get the lechon from them. Thank you Mike.

Jackie B.

Yelp
What can I say - for most Filipinos in San Diego, we all know Porky's because no true Filipino party is happening without lechon. There's only less than a handful of places where you can order whole roasted pig and Porky's is one of them. I'm a bit conflicted because I do love the fact that Mike got this business started to hook us all up with a little bit of home, but I'm saddened because of its inconsistency. I have had really good lechon from here and ones that have been sub par to the point it makes you pissed off because you spent so much money and you receive lechon with practically no flavor, burnt and you waited hours in line to pick it up. I am hoping the passion and pride comes back. I get it, it's a business, but successful business thrives by the consistency in this case food and customer service. Overselling during the holiday season shouldn't be the goal. Capping the order and having a limit and giving great service and serving consistent delicious consistent lechon should be the goal.

Yelp
Kuya Mike and Crew accommodated us by putting together their wonderful Filipino feast aka boodle fight at the restaurant for myself plus 10 of my friends. The spread was ammmmazing , and the service was exceptional! We couldn't ask for a better kamayan experience!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Melissa A.

Yelp
Very tasty food! Friendly, fast service, competitive prices. I will tell all of my friends! I highly recommend this local small business Filipino restaurant.

Jon V.

Yelp
We attended a family birthday celebration and we were amazed at the spread of assorted foods on banana leaves. Porky's Lechon is located in National City. Kudos to the crew for presenting the foods in style starting with the pineapple as the centerpiece and surrounded by carved oranges. There were layers of appetizing food: - Lumpia's - Grilled Chicken - King Prawns - Calamari's - Oysters - Salted Eggs - Okras & Tomatoes - 2 Daing's not visible in the picture (sun-baked milkfish) buried under the fresh veggies on each side. - Chopped Lechon (roasted pig) Everything was delicious and flavorful and enjoyed eating with the family. I would suggest expanding the spices and flavors to enhance the taste of the Lechon and I also felt it was not as traditionally crunchy as it should be. Overall everything was great!

Yelp
** Number 1 Filipino Restaurant & Catering Service ** Delicious food. Always my go to spot when ever craving 'Traditional' Filipino food. Most restaurant tend to tailor their cooking style and ingredients to please the American taste buds but this place is very AUTHENTIC. Perfect balance for QUALITY, QUANTITY and PRICE. Amazing Service. Staff is very polite and typical Filipino uncle and auntie vibes. Welcoming and warming feeling when you step inside. The smell, delicious food and amazing staff is the reason I keep coming back. Not really any indoor dining but tables are available outside. ** Overall amazing food. Highly recommend!! **

Yelp
Great food! The lechon is fantastic :) Love that they have online and texting service! Great for catering large groups or small family dinner.

Yelp
Great Pork Belly Lechon! I was worried they would be out on a Saturday at noon but I was fortunate to get 5 lbs, cut up and with gravy. If you want crispy skin and very tender, juicy and flavorful meat, Pork Belly Lechon is worth the cost (@$19 per pound). Ordering to go was quick and easy but honestly, I expected to be treated a little more courteously by the female cashier after spending over $120. At least a thank you or do you need anything else or see you again? She was too busy talking to the staff than caring for customers. Fortunately the young man who helped get my order together was kinder and because of him I ordered more food. Even the gentleman that cut up my order asked if I needed anything else. Anyways, the food is great but don't expect a "Cheers" greeting.

Yelp
Lechon here is AMAZING! Paid $13 for a lunch plate. Lechon is fresh, lean, & skin is perfectly crispy! Sauce is just like how I remember as a kid. Soooo gooood!

Ray A.

Yelp
Best lechon i have ever tasted! the skin is crispy sweet and savory! Absolutely great service and great for an event

Yelp
Mixed review. The lechon belly wasreally good, everything else Nothing special. Kare-Kare is a meh! Pakbet not good. Very friendly!

Yelp
Porky's Lechon in San Diego for made my Kamayan/Boodle Fight dreams come true! We were able to have 70 guest enjoy Filipino food for our welcome dinner for the Friday before our wedding and it was an absolute hit! Beautiful, fun, and delicious. All our LOVED (Filipinos and non-Filipinos) loved the food and Mike (from Porky's) was so easy to work with and flexible on customizing our menu. Everything was delicious, but especially the beef ribs and fried fish. Guest were raving about it weeks later. Thank you Mike and Porkys!!

Jacquilin M.

Yelp
I had an amazing party yesterday and all my guests loved the food so much!! It was the best lechon ever! The food was very flavorful and rich. Also, the service was phenomenal and they deliver on time. I would definitely recommend this place for parties and get togethers.

Yelp
They make the best Filipino Lechon in the whole San Diego! But beware of the line and their ordering system. Specially on holidays. PLEASE. We put in our order online three days before Christmas eve. But still waited 1 hour to get my or

Yelp
DISHONESTY TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS MORE! This is a late review. I recently came across a friend who had the same experience. I only went here twice and NEVER CAME BACK! On my first visit, I ordered a medium order of whatever they had. The dishes were average. I hate the kare- kare. The dinuguan is uhmmm not too bad. The pakbet is okay. But we fell in love with their sisig. We told ourselves, we won't have to try our luck at Kababayan all the time for the sisig. Porky's is as good or maybe even better! On our second visit , we ordered a large order of sisig. Unfortunately, there's not much left. The lady said, it's not enough for large, just medium. So I said okay. Here comes this chubby -bald guy who said " kasya pa sa large yan"-- "that's still enough for large". He took the large cup and poured everything in there. It was at least one inch short from the rim of the cup --It didn't reach the rim of the cup. He gave it a shake and still not enough to fill the cup. The lady even said " kumasya ba?!"--"did it fit " or "was it enough?". The guy said yes. Tsk tsk. JUST TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS MORE! That's the catch, it's just a few bucks to complain about. We just left and never came back!! If I didn't hear a similar experience from my friend, I wouldn't have written this review. HONESTY is still the best policy!

Eleno S.

Yelp
My wife ordered Lechon Head for Farher's Day, (because we onl 4 in the family) when she pick it up at 11:30am there is no Lechon Hea, they refused to give the refund, instead they give my wife the left over food from the day before, I can tell because the potato to the Apritada and Menudo is almost mashed.(I'm retired Che, I know left over food).....Terrible...

Uwhi A.

Yelp
Food is very delicious!! You'll want to get more after your first one!! Lots of options from meat to seafood and vegetables!! It's really worth it!! I will DEFINITELY order again

Maria T.

Yelp
Catered the whole lechón pig for family events, always so good and flavorful! They always deliver to our house and is always on time.

Mami N.

Yelp
There's a saying, "First impression is lasting." I decided to order from Porky's from the review of the lechon. I didn't realize that they were doing catering. When I spoke with Mike, the owner, he was very nice and helpful. I told him what the party was about and what we would like to serve. He made suggestions and we took it from there. He provided a list and we narrowed it down to a menu where food were healthy and ideal for guests of all ages. Mike worked with me from the first time we spoke all the way to after the party. That is great customer service!! The food was great! The lechon was so delicious. Guests were satisfied and even ask for his contact information, which I gladly gave. Even the crew from the rental boat had a share of the food and they love them! I even got to go boxes for take home food. I will definitely use them again-- for the next event. Thank you, Mike! Appreciate for everything! *Vangie

Marc S.

Yelp
The lechon was tasty and delicious. The sisig was also good but it's missing the crunch.

SC Aaronn B.

Yelp
The best lechon we've had! Great service! Great tasting lechon! Oh my god the skin!!! From National City to Orange county, still crispy! My family used to have lechon every time and I know a good one when I see one. This will not be the last time I will order from Porky's! Thank you po! 10/10!

Ann W.

Yelp
I didn't realize this lechon restaurant existed until last week. If you have a craving for lechon, look nowhere else! Go when the restaurant opens to avoid lines.

Christopher A.

Yelp
This is the Conchinillo that we ordered... we arrived 15mins early and it was ready already. The skin is not crispy and the meat is not juicy. This was supposedly $299?! We got it discounted $199?! It's not even worth it. We drove 2hrs for this. I don't recommend it.

AnnieVic A.

Yelp
Best pork belly/ lechon in town. Very Crispy, tastier than any pork belly lechon we have eaten here in USA. Their pinakbet at pancit are very good too.

Vince C.

Yelp
Lechon was good . The 2 item combo was a portion ,I think , for 2 already .. I rated four because there's no place to eat in - only 1 table for 4 and we were lucky enough that people left as we got our orders

William R.

Yelp
The Lechon is out of this world for sure- to die for. Ambiance- 1/5 Lechon- 5/5 excellent flavor, perfect seasoning, crunchy skin, amazing meat- Yumm. We tried the meat lumpia- they were meh- 1/10 A bit out of the way in National city, but well worth the drive. Try it, you wont regret it.

Benjamin M.

Yelp
Saw great reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot. Not the nicest greetings and service I have gotten that's for sure. Hopefully the food is better even though they got my order wrong and over charged me lol...

Don J.

Yelp
Comically bad pig and disrespectful service. These guys were 2 hours late to a huge banquet party at a rented venue with a 4 hour limit. They didn't answer our phone calls when they missed their deadline. Calls went straight to voicemail. Finally tracked them down on a different phone number we found on the internet. They then arrived with the ugliest and worst tasting lechon we have ever seen. Missing rear legs, no seasoning, no garlic or lemongrass. Tough chewy skin. 100 Pilipino's were not impressed. We also ordered a small pig Cebu style. They gave us a large messed up looking pig that looked like yesterday's leftovers. Smaller is better and has thinner skin. Don't trust your party to them. Totally unprofessional. We want our money back!!!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Let me just say, they truly care about their customers! They have the best calamari and we look forward to their FB post of their menu for the day. And today they had calamari, so I texted the order line to confirm. When we got there, they ran out. After we left, I received a text saying they had some but it was too late we had already moved on to our next errand. Unbeknownst to me that it was owner Mike who I had been texting. He called me and indicated that he felt bad that we went all that way and did not get calamari. So he offered to cook some fresh and deliver it. I was so shocked, like for real who does that? What business takes the time to reach out to a customer after they left to personally deliver food. Right?? He delivered fresh calamari which made our day!! So grateful!! In addition to calamari all their food is good. And before we stopped eating pork, we ordered their lechon which was delicious. Everything that we've had has been delicious. I appreciate the daily menu post on FB. Very helpful. I'm still in shock. Definitely our go-to for calamari and lechon (for parties).

Maye E.

Yelp
Ordered my Lechon here few times and as always, it's been juicy and crispy as promised, thank you! Porky's Letchon

Rhonalene P.

Yelp
I ordered 3 tray of food this weekend and the kare-kare and beef steak the beef meat was so tuff and my visitors keep complaining they can't chew the meat and the flavors is bland . The pansit was no flavor and it's all noodles, less vegetables and few meat . I'm very disappointed because I always order food from them every time we have gatherings. I'm not coming back to this restaurant.

Corry V.

Yelp
Service good definitely, don't think they forgot about you if you go. They're just busy lol. Good picks on the menu. Just didn't really like my side when I went. Got potato salad and I think macaroni. Mac was good. More so the potato salad. But, I would recommend you try it. Maybe I just need to try more options on the menu.

Victor G.

Yelp
our go to spot for filipino food in national city. the best boodles in san diego! pork belly lechon (cebu style) is the most popular. bring a bag of chicharon to a party, my friends love it. whole pig is also a great choice. i always go direct to porky's to order. line can get long, but worth it.

Deedee D.

Yelp
A huge thank to Porkys Lechon for the wonderful service for my daughters wedding . Communication with Michael was so easy and fast. The guys who delivered the lechon were knowledgeable and professional. They did beautiful job setting up the lechon and cut the lechon, ready for the guests . Well executed experience. We will definitely reach out for their services in the future . Highly recommend !

Toting T.

Yelp
Super great food -- "extra large luau boodle" and the delivery was on time. Kudos to you Michael Torres (owner) and staff!

Nette B.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Porky's as the photos on social media made the food look delicious. Came here for Kamayan to celebrate my friends birthday. It is a point point restaurant and not as big. We were a party of 29. It was so tight and I felt bad for the walk in customer's and the ones sitting closer to the point point food. The Kamayan Food was such a beautiful site. It included rice, pancit bihon, lechon, ribs, bbq chicken and lumpia etc. along with a handful of different seafood; mussels, crab legs, shrimp. I believe they are known for the Cebu lechon. There was also fruits on the table but no mango. I prefer mango. The food to me was meh. We asked for vinegar and added a lot of salt and lechon sauce. My mistake for not asking for patis and calamansi to add flavor to the pancit. Lastly, they do not have a restroom and they do not provide a bowl to wash your hands when you are done eating. You would need to walk behind the counter to use the sink. I would return to give them another try but not for Kamayan. Side note: The whole lechon looks popular and delicious.

Ohmar P.

Yelp
My mom and I traveled from NEvada just to try this place. The lechon was crispy and well seasoned. Good portion. We got there 11 am and by 11:30 all their lechon was sold out due to long lines and many pick and delivery orders . Friendly service.

Sheng B.

Yelp
They serve the best lechon belly in town and if you want to have a sumptuousa but hassle free boddle fight at home, Porky's is by far the best for me.

Janel A.

Yelp
My sister in law had ordered an 8lbs whole slab of lechon cebu for her birthday. She clearly placed the order on January 2nd (as it states on the receipt FULLY PAID for the amount of $112). Then on the bottom it states pickup on SUNDAY JAN 3rd. They went to pick up the order today and were told that they did not have the order ready. The owner said "putang ina ang Tao ko" making excuses and blaming the other employees. The guy said that they DID NOT have the receipt for the order when HE WAS THE ONE THAT TOOK THE ORDER AND PAYMENT ONE THE DAY PRIOR. and apologized for the inconvenience. Someone clearly DID NOT do their job. This is unacceptable and they offered no compensation. I am posting this to show how unreliable, unprofessional and ridiculous this business is. There is no excuse for this type of service!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Joanne P.

Yelp
It's funny to think perhaps the last time I ate dinuguan (pork blood stew) I was merely 5 years old. I recall the picture my Momma took of me wearing my cute navy blue sailor dress. Well, we did live in Navy Housing!! LOL... I posed in the kitchen- grinning and that smear all around my lips could look like melted chocolate was actually "chocolate meat". Perhaps my Momma said we were gonna eat chocolate meat- and how could a 5 year old resist? When at that time- all I ever ate was homemade Filipino food. Or perhaps it was many moons ago when I hung out with Mary Jane & again- I just simply craved dinuguan. Anyways- I was stumped what I wanted to eat. Not sure if it's be Thai curry or sushi. That's why I love driving down Plaza Blvd in National City. I had bookmarked Porky's awhile back and it was lunch hour on a weekday. They sell lechon (roasted suckling pig) by the pound. I got way less than half a pound. But, that dinuguan! Tons of pork meat- stewed tender in every bite. The aroma teased my hunger... as I was scooping onto my plate. Porky's rendition has bay leaves, vinegar, slivers of ginger, garlic, and of course the pig's blood. I swear I'm not pregnant- but, when you crave something- a simple taste. You need it. I guess my palette didn't care what type of food I ate- perhaps I just craved something close to home cooking because that's what you'll definitely get here. Staff is fr

Yelp
Do not order lechon here. They are so disorganized and will not have it ready for you. Our pick was at 11am on Xmas day. We arrived around 10:40 and their was one long line for both the entree and lechon. Others who were waiting in line had a pick up at 10am. Finally someone from the front said there's a different line for the lechon and pointed at a uhaul truck. There were about 7 lechon uncovered and he was only passing it out to those who paid in advanced. There were 15 others waiting with a mixture of prepaid and unpaid order. The rude male worker said there was another truck on its way but does not know when it will arrive. Mind you, it's been 30 mins since we've been there. We decided to leave because we didn't trust them they would have lechon for us. HORRIBLE!!

Rudylyn S.

Yelp
It was my niece's 18th birthday so I was looking for a letchon. My friend told me about Porky's sabi masarap dw and by far the best letchon natry niya sa San Diego, so I contacted the owner though it was 2 hours away from where I live-San Bernardino.Thankyou Sir for meeting me half way! Masarap and crispy ang letchon. Masarap din ang mga sarsa! Thankyou! Worth it yung drive!

M. S.

Yelp
Porky's is my go-to place to order lechon until I recently learned about their boodle fight package. I ordered an XL and it was a hit at my party and the serving was generous. The guy(I didn't get his name) who took my order over the phone was very friendly and helpful. Will be getting the boodle again whenever we have a party. Thank you Porky's!

Shoe A.

Yelp
Ordered lechon here couple times for our churches events and gatherings , always good praises from our friends. Have them on your speed dial when looking for lechon . The best in National City maybe the best in San Diego.!!!
