A favorite among art lovers, the Port Aransas Art Center showcases rotating exhibits by local and regional artists, reflecting the area’s coastal spirit and creative energy. Located on the charming main street of Port Aransas, it’s surrounded by independently owned shops and galleries, making it easy to spend a day exploring original artworks and meeting the artists themselves. The Austin Chronicle and Texas Highways both highlight the center for its grassroots community support and lively events calendar, including workshops and art walks. Afterward, stroll the town or enjoy fresh seafood at a nearby dockside spot.

This is a great gallery. Lots of pieces of many types of media, all from local artists. Taking home some of their art is a great way to remember a trip to Port-A! My girls really enjoyed an art lesson from one of the artists with paintings on display, some of which we bought for our home.

Loved it! Lots of great artists! You must go take a look. The art is all for sale, plus they do have a gift shop with more affordable options.

I am an art junkie while vacationing and love to collect local art so I definitely did not pass this up. There was a very nice lady and gentleman running it, they were very nice letting me sit and sift even offering wine. I definitely spent more than I needed to but not as much as I could have because there were so many great pieces. I did notice that they had community art area so it is really cool they do classes because we like to support local. The small note card sized prints ended looking great in frames that we got from Hobby Lobby, it was 3 cards per frame with matting.

The Art Center of Port Aransas is a beautifully curated gallery featuring local and international artists living in the area like myself 🤍 Most artwork is inspired in the natural surroundings of the area, you will find landscapes, birds, fish, and abstract pieces inspired in those subjects. Coming in the gallery makes a great day activity for all the family, kids will love to look at fun art, parents will love the amazing photography, and if your walls are all occupied, there is gorgeous wearable art, hand made one of a kind jewelry, statement pieces and other small souvenirs. Most of the artists volunteer at the gallery on a daily basis, so you may get lucky and meet some of us during your visit. We are happy to have you here, see you soon! 🎨🖼👩🏽‍🎨

Don't know what happened with my last review, but anyway, Super fun place. This Art Center is the 💣 B.. It's also an art school of sorts. We did a class a few weeks ago. It's definitely not cheap, but Holy Crud.. I was able to channel my inner Vincent van Gogh!! Pretty much everything in the building is for sale and they have some wonderful pieces that would look great it your casa.. If you're tired of the Sun N Sand around Port A and looking for something different??? This is your place. Check it out.. Plotted.. Scouts Out.

Breathtaking beautiful pieces! So many wonderful different mediums in this enchanting gallery, I couldn’t decide which one I liked the most. We were in a rush, so we couldn’t stay long. I can’t wait to go back and purchase some art! Thank you for being so friendly and welcoming! We loved this gallery!

They have a variety of artwork displayed for purchase. You can not take any pictures or videos while you are inside. They also sell handmade jewelry and knick-knacks. It is also free to the public.

I attended their First Friday event in November, 2018. It was a nice occasion with a very good turnout. There was a lot of variety to see: paintings, sculpture, stained glass, jewelry, photography. I saw several pieces I really liked. There were snacks and drinks (wine, punch, and a mixed drink) and live music which was nice. I went with my friend and we both had a very nice time.
