The current TripAdvisor Ai generated review pretty perfectly summarises our recent experience of The Peninsula; Peninsula Boutique Hotel offers a mixed experience for visitors. While many travelers enjoy the spacious rooms and beachfront location near shops and Four Mile Beach, some find the accommodations dated and in need of maintenance. Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with some praising it and others noting issues. The breakfast and pool amenities earn positive feedback, though the hotel is considered pricey for its condition. Service is generally seen as friendly and helpful.||My husband and I previously stayed here in November 2019 and loved the property and location. On that visit we had a ground floor room with a small patio facing the beach, and parked on the road right outside the room. As such, we didn’t see as much of the actual hotel. ||This visit we were on a higher floor and perhaps that’s why we noticed that the corridors were clean, but very tired looking. As others have said the car park is quite scruffy, although we didn’t really mind that. Our suite now looked dated; some mould around the shower and little glitches like mismatched crockery, wardrobe doors sticking and coat hangers stuck to the little plastic bits that they’re attached to on the hanging rail making them impossible to hang anything without buttons onto. I do appreciate that these are first world problems, but as others have said, this property has fairly premium pricing. ||On the plus side, the location is absolutely superb. We really enjoyed our breakfasts, parking is free, the pool area is genius, so much pool and seating designed into a fairly small space, and from what we saw was all clean. The staff were all lovely and, an absolute bonus when you’re on a long trip - there’s complimentary washers and dryers on each floor. ||It’s a brilliantly located and comfortable hotel, but to my mind, overpriced for its current condition.
