Portofino

We went to this dreadful restaurant yesterday evening. We had many issues right from the beginning. We are a group of 3 couples, and not at all usually a complaining group. First issue was one of our group had spotted a nice table, we asked the waiter who completely dismissed what we were asking and sat us somewhere else, at that stage we didn't think much of it, and sat at the other table, it was a table for 4, but the waiter squeezed us all on it, despite there being empty tables. We ordered our meals, 2 medium sirloin steaks, 1 medium/well done sirloin steak, 2 fillet steaks, and a chicken dish. The meals duly turned up, the waiter handing them out seemed confused about which sirloin steak was which. My medium was fine, but when my two friends cut into theirs, which should of been medium and medium/well done blood came out of both, one looked medium rare and the other was rare. One of my friends tried to eat hers, whilst my other friend couldn't bring himself to, we were all telling him to point it out to the waiter. One of the ladies in our party, politely pointed it out to the waiter in the end. He said he would change it but was rude and off, the person who had the steak said 'no, thank you' as everyone else was finishing there meal and he had been put off by the blood. The waiter took the food and did not reappear, we assumed he was talking to the chef or manager, we then saw him at another table we called him across to ask for feedback, which was when his attitude really went down hill. To be fair he did not charge us for one of my friends steaks, and I can understand that nothing could be done about the other steak as my friend had attempted to eat some of it. My main complaint is regarding this waiters attitude, which was shocking, he was extremely rude and off hand from the moment we walked in the restaurant. There was no apology or discussion about how a medium/well done steak had ended up as a rare steak, it could of been easily sorted with a small amount of courtesy and customer service.

My wife had the roast suckling pig, amazing! We ordered several appetizers which were all delicious. My personal favorite was the muscles in wine sauce! Wow! But all were excellent. Service was great, a little expensive but you get what you pay for. We are going back for the paella which is supposed to be the best.

This is not just a restaurant, it is a real experience that is missing in today's too rigid and conventional world! ​The service is an ABSOLUTE MIRACLE! everyone (including the manager!)!!! The guys and girls create a phenomenal team. They have so much empathy and laid-backness that you feel like you've dropped in on friends, not just come to a restaurant as usual. We had the impression that if they weren't at work, we would throw a wild party there together - to feel this energy and spontaneity! The manager, although observing from the back, can be proud - he has a team that simply LOVES what they do. ​The people? BEAUTIFUL! Both outside and inside. Smiling, helpful and mega spontaneous - this is the feature that distinguishes this place. This spontaneous and relaxed atmosphere is something that you search for with a flashlight in Mallorca (and not only there!). ​If you are looking for a place where, apart from good food (because the food is super too!), you will get an injection of positive, human energy and feel truly taken care of - this is it. ​I recommend it wholeheartedly! May there be more such places on Earth🙏💎💎💎

Ate there last night and whilst my son was eating his ice cream the waiter came over and told us we had to leave the table so they could seat someone else this was despite the fact we had ordered another bottle of wine and were yet to have coffees! Also service was rushed as it was clear they just wanted you in and out , and we even ordered a decent amount of food muscle starters etc and over priced lobster at 85 euros a pop! This restaurant and service was not a patch on Ya ya s next door , better food there and much better service and staff!!

Lovely location overlooking the port, and excellent food to match, the best we had in Cala D'Or. We had the tuna tataki to start followed by the corvina and secreto ibérico and the chocolate dessert, all were very good. Certainly deserving of its Michelin guide recommendation based on our experience.

Our favorite restaurant in Cala D'Or. Food was incredible and pudding was amazing 😍 staff were great very friendly and funny. Settling lovely over the marina.

We had a delicious evening meal here whilst on holiday. The quality of the food we had was great and reasonably priced. We had the mussels, squid and the sobrasada stuffed chicken - so tasty! Highly recommend, probably want to book to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic cocktails and a beautiful paella. Great views of the marina. Staff were super friendly and not overly pushy. Happy to recommend this place, particularly for the drinks and paella, both of which were gorgeous!
