A wonderful spot by the harbor to grab a bite or drink. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was prompt and professional. food came out reasonably quick. It was delicious and great quality. Will definitely be back!

Headed elsewhere but took a quick detour to Port. Wow, what a great spot. Beautiful views, and good service. The local beers were excellent and the food was fantastic!! Everything was fresh, cooked well and perfectly seasoned. Staff is attentive, friendly & polite. Definitely recommend a stop here

Google
Wonderful setting for a very good restaurant. Started with Maurice Salad & Clam Chowder, both very good! P.E.I Mussels, and Baked Clams both excellent! Unfortunately the Crab Sushi was very boring. All In all, very good service with a farm to table menu and absolutely worth a visit. We will return.

We had lunch at Port and it was a pleasant surprise. The views of the harbor are beautiful. You watch the ferry boats pulling in and out while enjoying one of Long Islands best lobster rolls. I had the hot lobster roll and my wife had the cold lobster roll. The fries were grwat too. This place won't disappoint. Just don't expect great service at the gazebo bar. The table service is far better and the only reason to visit Port.

Google
Not a fan! Waited over an hour for our food. Some dishes were delicious but the hot lobster roll was over-cooked and not hot. The server did not tell us that this was their first weekend being open until we had to ask about our food 1 hour later. I’m giving it a 3 because the service was atrocious! The place has been in business for many years, this was unacceptable! They did not charge us for the Calamai and gave us $50 off our bill but personally I felt they should have given us a round of drinks. Not only did we wait over an hour for the appetizer then it was another 30 minutes for the entree at which time they brought out 3 of the six and another 20 minutes before the last 3 entrees came out. The last 3 entrees were luke warm and over-cooked.

After getting stuck driving back in the snarl to Greenport from the Hamptons, we wanted a low key restaurant to get some light bites including some seafood. Since the restaurant was around the corner from our place and on the water, we stopped in at PORT. We were seated out in the patio which was great on a nice night. Service was OK and a bit impersonal, did we good and we enjoyed the food with fresh seafood and who knew eggplant meatballs, and the overall atmosphere was kind of dressed up beach bar. Definitely fit the bill for our dinner.

We came in on a Friday afternoon with no reservation. We asked if we could be seated with a more direct view of the water and the hostess obliged. I ordered the cold lobster roll which came with fries. I upgraded to the truffle fries. The lobster roll was delicious with huge pieces of lobster and great flavor. There were so many truffle friends and they were flavorful and warm. We also ordered the crab and lobster beignets (special) as an appetizer. The sauce it was came with was really yummy. The order came with 6 beignets. They were good but not what I was expecting. It was more like a fritter. My friends ordered the shrimp scampi which looked delicious. They mentioned how tasty it was and the garlic ..chef’s kiss. They were soaking up the scampi sauce with the piece of bread it came with. Our waiter, Landon, was friendly and patient. He offered suggestions, told us about the ferry, checked on us and didn’t disturb while we played games and looked at the beautiful view of the water. Where we sat, we had clear view of the water and people going by along with a bunny, gophers, and birds. Lots of wild life on the grassy area which some of us thought was adorable. Great food and service and a nice view!

Google
T he chef created such innovative and delicious dishes! Even the biscuit that came with mama Lee's fried chicken was so different and over the top. The hog wings were delicious and portions on all meals were great. The service was impeccable with everyone working so well together. Will be grabbing my peeps and heading back!

Yelp
PORT Waterfront Bar and Grill on Greenport's Third Street are the same owners of SALT on Shelter Island from what I read. It is nestled in a corner of a busy seaside village. Their menu selections include steamed clams, fresh fish, lobster rolls and burgers, The restaurant dining area is mostly outdoors in a comfortable setting overlooking the ferries to Shelter Island. The staff is friendly and attentive. Our party ordered Tuna Poke, chicken paillard, and the Open face Tuna Steak BLT, which was the winner. The Tuna Steak was thick and cooked perfectly. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience.

Yelp
We hadn't been to Greenport in quite some time, but today we returned and of course stopped at Port for lunch. And everything was exceptional as expected. First, a shout out to our wonderful waitress Mercedes for her great suggestions and super service! Now for the food: Our baked clams were a best ever for a starter. And my choice, The Tuna BLT, was exceptional. The combo of Tuna, nicely spiced, with thick slabs of bacon was a taste sensation!! Served with a side of tasty and perfectly spiced skinny fries, a great choice and new favorite And my other half enjoyed the beet salad with grilled chicken, all fresh and tasty ingredients. Finally, the Black Coffee was brewed fresh, we passed on dessert because we wanted to walk and have dessert in town, Overall, a great choice, great food, and great service!! 1 Negative comment - I checked my bill when arriving home. 14 dollars for two cups of black coffee!! That's outrageous. I don't mind spending $$$ on food and service. BUT - I don't like getting ROBBED either. Mgmt. ought to take a look at that and rethink their coffee pricing.

Yelp
It was great. The food was great, the ambiance was great and the service was ok. I love Greenport, this restaraunt is adorable. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
PORT has a great location and a tasty menu. We were a party of two in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Our server was helpful with offering suggestions. The weather was flawless for sitting outside. This place is deceptively large with the majority of seating outside. Our meal came out fast and tasted very fresh. The Poke Bowl was gigantic and could easily serve two people. My wife asked to switch cucumbers for avocado and it was not a big deal at all. My tuna sushi was very filling and remarkably tender. We also picked on the truffle fries which are best shared due to the amount of garlic they contained. Tough if you're on a date even if you both have them. I'm not sure what the parking is like when this place is jammed. Park where you can. The whole town is barely 8 blocks long. Service here was great. Food comes quick and plates are also cleared fast but no one is chasing you out. Great option on the menu for all hours.

Yelp
This place was a great break from the increasingly pretentious Hamptons dining scene. Very friendly service, relaxed environment, and a killer waterfront view. My best lobster roll of 2024, which I had New England style at my server's suggestion (always take a confident server's suggestion). My bride had a lobster salad...also delicious. A perfect late lunch!

Yelp
Beautiful location and nice staff. The food is fresh and tasty/ not gourmet but you can't beat the view of the harbor
google avatar

Yelp
Off season but still very nice place to eat by the water. Food was excellent and service was good too. My husband and I shared the crispy shrimp sushi as an appetizer, very nice presentation. For dinner I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken. Both excellent dishes. The lighting gave the place a nice romantic feel and the extra heat they had took out the chill in the air. I would love to come back during the summer when it's more open, otherwise was a great dinner and evening.

Yelp
Came here with a giant group and had a pretty average experience. It's a nice restaurant right on the water in the heart of down-town Greenport with nice views. We ordered a handful of appetizers, two pitchers for drinks and each got our own entree. The food was quite average and the portions were sizable. The salad and lobster rolls were good but the chicken tenders were a bit dry. The service was fast and attentive and answered all of our questions. The following day, those who drank the rum punch didn't feel well at all. I would definitely avoid this when coming. The spicy margarita was decent.
google avatar

Dee P.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Lobster rolls (both hot and cold) are exceptional. Perfect location with a view of the bay and ferries. We will be back!
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
Service was friendly and nice but the food was okay. I'd say the strong thing about this place is the drinks because you really pay for what you get. And the scene was amazing, love the view from the ferry.

Yelp
We LOVED Port!! The food was just superb, good selection of wine, delicious cocktails and friendly and attentive service provided by Mercedes. We had the oysters to start, followed by the crab and corn beignets which were so delicious and I can't wait to have them again. We also had sushi which you could tell was fresh sushi grade tuna and hari-negi and black sesame was the perfect complement. We finished off with the Cioppino and that alone made my day, it was one of the best meals we've had so far in Greenport and we look forward to going back very soon!

Yelp
Def a solid spot in Greenport and especially with kiddos! We came around 6 with our 2 toddlers and they quickly sat us and attended to us. They were amazing with rushing the dishes out so that the kids were antsy. It was perfect timing to enjoy apps and 2 mains. We shared the ceviche, lobster roll and crab Mac and cheese. Lobster roll and the crab Mac were better than the ceviche with the crab Mac being our favorite. Cocktails were also tasty and they have a kids menu which is a plus! As for the ambiance we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view which we enjoyed! Look forward to returning next summer.

Yelp
Nice setting overlooking the marina. Large outdoor space that was mostly filled and live music on a Friday night. Staff was friendly with some of them more attentive and responsive than others. Every single employee we saw had to be in their 20s. Food was good - calamari well cooked, baked clams as well but had a very overpowering flavor that we couldn't pin point. Salad was large but not very exciting. Special tuna tartar was good. Though the fish a little stringy. Tuna poke was good - very similar to the tartar but over sushi rice. Fish tacos excellent, lobster roll as well. Drink menu was robust! Delicious key lime pie. Overall a really nice spot to visit.

Yelp
Had a lovely experience at sport. We had an evening reservation and were seated outside with a view of the boats. Service was friendly and helpful. We shared a pitcher of rum punch (fabulous for a summer night) some ceviche, a steak, and the crab Mac and cheese. Everything was tasty and fresh and full of flavor. My fave was the steak which was perfectly cooked. Super cute spot.

Yelp
Had a great time running into old friends at the Port Waterfront Bar. What a beautiful location to have a bar and hang out on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were great. For as busy as we were they didn't keep us waiting. A few shots of Patron. Smooth. Only wish they would have chilled them...who doesn't chill shots? Anyway not complaining. The bartender is young....learning right? The bathroom was clean which was really nice and appreciated! That's a rarity for a bar. See you there next time

Yelp
My husband and I had lunch recently at Port. We both had the lobster roll and French fries. Both were delicious. My margarita was perfect. We will be back!

Jag G.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere was great. Not crowded at all on a Tuesday night in the summer. No reservation was needed. Service was great and staff was attentive. The taste and quantity of food was 10/10. Definitely would come back.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, really nice staff and the food was great! I'd say if your in greenport this is one of the best places to eat and get the out east vibe

Lee M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal here while in Greenport! Our server could not have been more friendly and helpful. Drinks were great! We had appetizer special clam fritters with an aioli sauce, stuffed clams and oysters, all excellent. Mains were the cold lobster roll, mussels, flounder fish and chips and the Ciopinno - all were outstanding! Highly recommend!

Linda F.

Yelp
We had a great meal at the Port tonight. Great service and the food was so delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Conveniently located next to the North Ferry terminal (to Shelter Island) and Greenport LIRR, PORT specializes in seafood and waterfront views. Service is friendly and accommodating. The prices are slightly on the high side, but understandable given inflation. I had the burger and fries (normally $26) and asked for truffle. The waitress waived the truffle upcharge, which was appreciated. The burger and fries were very good and my Wooden Leg cocktail- dark rum, coconut, orange and nutmeg was expertly made and $16. PORT is a solid waterfont option with a resort feel in the Greenport area and I plan to be back.
google avatar

Fuad C.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great. Lobster roll was great and drinks were solid. Make a reservation ahead of time. Great kids menu too!

Etm M.

Yelp
Awesome outside bar. Food is delicious. Often has music. View is great. What else do you need? Oh, right.........a reservation!!!

Natalie L.

Yelp
Relaxed atmosphere, food was okay, nothing great. Probably wouldn't return, staff not friendly.

Ana Lucia V.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, went for a quick lunch. We ordered a few mocktails and a warm and cold lobster roll. Both were delicious, plenty of crunchy fries. Would definitely come back.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Really chill vibes right by the ferry / train station. A little pricey for what it is, but a fun environment and dog friendly. I had the hot lobster roll, fried calamari and their version of a Pina colada - all good! Service was great!

Janine M.

Yelp
Excellent service, wonderful food, great ambiance! Our party loved the calamari as a starter- the GF options were much appreciated as well!
google avatar

Victoria A.

Yelp
Great place! The outdoor area was great and I appreciated that part of it was shaded so we could get the benefit of being outside with the water view but not melting in the direct sunlight. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The cocktails were delicious! We started off with the watermelon feta salad and it was sooo good. I got the fish tacos as my main dish and while the fish was fresh and tasty we all thought the taco as a whole was a bit dry and could've used a little sauce and my friend felt the same way about the burger but overall everything else was great and I'd recommend stopping here for drinks or lunch/dinner if you're greenport
google avatar

Cristina E.

Yelp
PORT is the perfect spot for a delicious outdoor meal in Greenport! It's located on the water (tucked away from the Main Street near where you catch the Shelter Island ferry) so you can really get a meal with a view. I really enjoyed eating on their outdoor deck. It was covered so you'd stay dry even on a rainy day. It was a really hot day when I went so the covering helped us stay shaded and cool. My lobster roll was excellent! It was stuffed with a good amount of lobster and was on a delicious buttery roll. It was definitely on the steep $ side, even for a lobster roll, but I think that was partly because I got fries too (not included with the roll). But, overall, definitely worth the price - delicious food and perfect view! I can't wait to back and order another roll.
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Greenport. Accommodated our stroller and toddler. Super quick service. We enjoyed our lunch. My lobster roll was good and my husband liked his fish tacos. Between the view and the service, it's a no brainer. Like all things in this area, bring your wallet!

Mary P.

Yelp
Great place with outdoor seating overlooking the water. The best lobster roll I've ever had.

Dwayne C.

Yelp
The shrimp appetizer was amazing and comes with a beautiful view and great service ! Restaurant clean and nicely organized and well run by staff .
google avatar

Alexandra L.

Yelp
The Quick: Great lobster rolls on the water! Must sit outside with a view. Amazing French fries, loved the beyond burger (vegan!). The calamari is a must. The Mahi tacos was extremely fresh, but needed some sort of salsa. Our first experience was 5 stars, our second was a bit hectic, so we averaged out. We'll be back soon and hope for another 5 star experience.

Nan W.

Yelp
Good service, Tuna BLT was great. Spicy calamari was good but such a small dish- more like a tapa. Drinks were also good.
google avatar

Doreen D.

Yelp
Good food great location. Great service. Would definitely revisit in the summer months again.

A H.

Yelp
Conveniently located by ferry with ample street parking, but pretty underwhelming experience altogether. Basically, very overly priced for mediocre, lukewarm food. Friendly waiter and hostess, but everybody else couldn't even put on a smile and most of the time, were too busy socializing by the bar. Shrimp ceviche very very small portion and overly sour. Burger was OK - beef was tasty though overcooked (asked for medium and came out well done) and fries were crispy, but bun was terrible and fried onions were soggy. Black garlic shrimp buccatini did have some really nice large shrimp, but was served rather lukewarm and pasta was a little past al dente. Steak was cooked to order (medium rare) and well-seasoned, but the accompanying mash felt like it came out of a can (in presentation and in flavor). For the price and the other positive reviews, you just would have expected more, but we wouldn't recommend or return.
google avatar

Eddie G.

Yelp
Four of us had dinner tonight at Port. Between poor service and terrible food. It was a terrible evening. I ordered sweet potato tacos. They were depressing to say the least. Three tacos made an order. Each taco consisted of two sweet potato French fries some sliced carrots a few kernels of corn and a black beans. A depressing amount of food! As for the three other meals. They were really not much better . A total rip off! Our last visit to The Post!
google avatar

Jen A.

Yelp
This is the first summer I've gone to Port, and I've already been there 4 times for lunch! I've brought out-of-town friends in addition to going with "Locals" and we all love it for the same reasons; great drinks, awesome food (killer lobster rolls), and super sweet staff. The views are beautiful, and a true reminder that our little Island is awesome. There is a shaded deck as well as sunny high-top tables depending on your preference. A side path leads to the boardwalk just past a fantastic outside-bar.
google avatar

Christina V.

Yelp
I'm pretty surprised this place has so many stars. Maybe because it's not high season yet. Mussels had no flavor and were undercooked. Mahi mahi tacos were served on a cold tortilla and fish was hard and cold. Burger was on a bread that was stale like a rock. Ambiance and location are perfect and so Is the bar. Come here for drinks only.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Great views of the water but food is extremely expensive, came out luke warm and entrees were $25-$35 each! Definitely not worth it!
google avatar

Rocio F.

Yelp
We had a great time here and got sat at the best table outside overlooking the water. We were so grateful for a kind staff member and delicious food.
google avatar

Chris V.

Yelp
Decent vibe, staff is green, food is subpar bar food. Salmon wasn't cooked well, mussels lacked flavor, clams were tasteless.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Great location with water views good for beers and nibbles. Hostess was brilliant. Oysters and chowder very good but downside is for being local oysters quite overpriced as was the rest of the meal. Salmon was awful, overcooked and under seasoned. Cocktail presentation lacking. Gave three stars because the oysters and calamari were very good but that is the end of it. If this was a gourmet restaurant the prices would match but being a bar and grill you will be paying for the view and not the food.
google avatar

Shane S.

Yelp
Nice views of the seaside while you enjoy a drink at their outdoor bar and they even have 8-10 Adirondack chairs on the sand you can sit on while enjoying your drink. The food is subpar, and even worse horrifically expensive. Here is a photo of my $16 "salad", which consisted of lettuce, 6 slices of cucumber and 1/2 a tomato. I added the grilled shrimp, which was an extra $12 ($4 per piece). So this "meal" was $28. I'd say drinks only at this place.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Nice location on the marina Nice service $39 for a skimpy lobster roll was outrageous

Yelp
My first review was removed. The food is flavorless, the management incompetent. The chef is toxic. Tons of other places to dine.

Yelp
Hubby and I arrived at Greenport Village in between lunch and dinner so we decided to stop by this waterside seasonal restaurant for a drink at the bar after reading the many positive Yelp reviews. This review rating is strictly for the staff, ambience, cocktails and cool vibe. The first thing I noticed was the multi-level spacious outdoor dining options. But since we were not hungry as of yet we walked to the far end of the restaurant to where the outdoor bar was. The views were absolutely gorgeous and nearly took my breath away. It was so enjoyable to relax and have a cold cocktail while chit chatting with hubby, staff and quests. Doing so I learned a few things I can share. This is a dog friendly restaurant. It is known for it's very popular pricey lobster roll. Be prepared to spend more than you expected for small portions. But keep in mind this restaurant is on prime property surrounded by water and conveniently located by the ferry terminal. At selected times they have live music and they do not offer a happy hour. Darn! After an hour or so we were merrily on our way within walking distance from the lively town and specialty shops. We did enjoy our visit and plan on returning next summer!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Great service, great view and great food. We came here on a beautiful day for a quick lunch and ended up staying a little longer because it was so nice out. Service was excellent, food was pretty good and reasonably priced, and our drinks were reasonably priced and tasty. If we're out there again we will definitely return.
