what a lovely cafe. Great decor alfresco style. Wonderful staff and service. The sea food, specially octopus 🐙 is just brilliant. They have a set lunch at $62++, which has so many food options and totally worth it. In fact, there was so much food that we got tired of eating. We spent around $200 for 2 including drinks and it was money well spent. 5 star all the way

The lunch sets were really value for money! What a surprise! Only $18 for 2 course and all the mains and desserts were all really delicious! To make it better one glass of wine is only $7! Had the Italian Sangiovese which was good! It went so well with my lamb shank! Service was good too!

Went for dinner and we had 3 course dinner. For appetizer, we had the spanish octopus and salmon tartare. Octopus texture was chewy and lack of charred and crispy texture. Salmon tartare was good, served with crispy fish skin to complement the salmon. Both mains were good. But the rib eye steak (served medium rare) was cooked unevenly. About one third of the steak was rare. Iberian pork on the other hand was really good. Soft, tender and flavourful served with mash potato and tomatoes. Desserts were okay. Key lime meringue had this burnt taste from the torched meringue and affected other elements in the dish to have the same burnt taste. Tiramisu was the safer choice. Served with a warm dark bitter rum and raisin brownie and coffee ice cream. Overall a pleasant dining experience with some hits and misses among the dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Good deal with burpple beyond.

Overall foods are nice although not fantastic. Service is good, staffs are friendly. Desserts are just ok. I was expected the chocolate cake to have melted chocolate inside, but it is not. The key lime meringue not as refreshing as I expected. Nonetheless, the prawns avocado is nice.

Professional service. They will respect your dinner occasion (I.e. birthday, anniversary) and give you a better seat that has a more fitting ambience to your meal. Adding to that, there are different types of seating environments that you can choose from on top of just the basic air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned. Meals are filling and lovely. The octopus is the favorite and rightfully so. Chewy but in a way that makes you really enjoy the chew. Cakes are also good, but chances are that you’d be full by then.

Went to Porta with a group of 7 hence we got to try many of the dishes in the menu. The pasta were good and so were the pork. Overall the dessert were better than the mains. For eg. The apple tart with bacon, with both savory and sweet flavor. The tiramisu is unique too, especially if you like your coffee. The portions are a bit small though.Service is prompt too.

Back to Singapore and wanted to go out for some good food. After some research, decided with PORTA (booked through Chope) and it was definitely a good decision. The entrance is very inviting adorned with coloured chairs and interior as such was even more artistic. It is a mix of vintage and modern classy decor. After being seated ordered for the 4 course meal which comprised of Cream of Tomato, Seafood Pasta, Carrot Cake and a Drink (there are options available though). All of the dishes were good, however for me the pasta stood out. Overall a great place and worth the visit.

Salmon tartare was amazing. However, though the black cod was generally good, I realised they missed out the wild rice in the dish and I was served the cod with just a spinach puree lol. Dessert was good too, service was a little rushed as they served the mains when I was still having the starter. Still steeply priced with Burpple promo - 2 starters, mains and dessert for $72. but way too expensive for the portions served without burpple (x2 of the price). Pretty disappointed that my cod came without the wild rice though 🥴 it’s like burgers coming without the fries. Don’t think I’ll visit again.
