Yelp
Porta Villa Beverly Hills in Canon Drive aka, Beverly Hills restaurant row. It's across the street from my yoga studio Alo, and it's conveniently steps away from many other restaurants I frequent. Really like that it is open early for all meals: breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
As a 90210 resident for over 2 decades, and it was my first time dining here 8 months ago, as I usually dine at IL Pastaio, but it's close and opens later. During our walk from Montage Hotel up towards Beverly Gardens park, I will credit Fendi for dragging me in. This restaurant is dog friendly :)
There restaurant has outdoor covered patio seating and it had the its raincoat cover in prep for the rain.
We were cordially greeted by Mark, who was also our waiter. Mark was knowledgeable about the menu, professional, promptly attentive and accommodating. The server Miguel was equally professional, very nice and attentive.
The brunch menu included various egg dishes and light, healthy options: various delicious salads, pastas, steak, seafood and a full bar menu. I was really tempted to order a bloody vodka drink but instead got an iced tea. The kitchen will accommodate requests to modify menu items, I'm famous for altering the dish with substitutions, thereby nearly creating a new and improved dish :)
I've modified various salads and have posted pics.
Not big on snotty or yolk runny eggs, so I ordered my egg yolks well done when I ordered the irresistible smoked salmon Benedict with a side of spring greens salad. This order seemed too much for me to eat and was perfect to share with my yoga pal who eats anything without consequence.
The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and steamed spinach topped with Hollandaise sauce was delish. The side salad was nice and light, which I ordered in lieu of the English muffins. When I asked for hot sauce, Tabasco and Cholula were available, Cholula won my vote. My friend who prefer a runny yolk liked my version of a well done yolk and enjoyed it with the side order of crispy bacon...Fendi got a few pieces of bacon :)
The restaurant was crowded inside and outside. Multiple baby strollers, kids and dogs...family friendly and diners of all ages here.
I would consider returning here but prefer to sit away from tables with a crying baby in a stroller, or a group of drunk loud gossipy ladies who brunch.
The atmosphere here is more casual than at iL Pastaio, where the fashion conscious, imported high end sports car owners and exhibitionists dine, self included. You can valet park at the corner of Brighton and Canon, find metered spot or park at the 2 hrs free city lot across the street. We walked here, lucky us. The staff here were very courteous and asked me to return later for dinner, which I would gladly consider, because the food here is delicious and the service is excellent. Recommend!
