"What was once known as Tea Chai Té is now Portal Tea Company, though not much else has changed. It’s hard to top the cozy charm of the original Nob Hill location inside an organically labyrinthine Victorian house, but the Sellwood location — built in and around an honest-to-goodness railroad caboose — just might do it. Year-round Christmas lights and a few of grandma’s couches amplify the ramshackle charm, but the tea selection is anything but shallow.
