My mom and I went down to Mt. Greenwood to meet my friends for lunch whilst they were at work, and Porter Cullens is only about five minutes from their workplace. It's in the middle of a neighborhood and near StX, Mother McCauley, etc. But because of it's location, parking here can be really difficult since the neighborhood parking is not for restaurant patrons. They have a some diagonal parking on the street.
They have some outdoor seating, about five tables. When we were here it was warm and humid so we sat inside. One of the servers was pretty friendly, but the one who took our orders doesn't seem to have much patience and seemed somewhat annoyed. Attention was lacking; I got one refill on my water during the hour plus that we were there.
However, the food was good. My friend got the Irish egg rolls, which are apparently corned beef and sauerkraut in egg roll form. Served with Italian dressing, it's almost like a reuben egg roll but I don't think there's cheese in them. I'd get those next time I was there, or the corned beef sandwich. I got a turkey club which was yummy and big--I brought half of it home and also had to unhinge my jaw to eat it. The other two in our party go the sliders. One ordered them as described in the menu, and the other just got three of the same type (apparently you can do that but they can only be either as stated on the menu OR all one type of slider).
I well may visit here again since I have friends who lie and work nearby. But the service kinda left a bad taste in my mouth to be honest, so unless I was really craving the Irish egg rolls I might find another place to try nearby.
