Portland Chocolate Laboratory

I was really excited to try these chocolates based on the reviews. The person behind the counter was great to talk to and the shop was really nice. I purchased the Taste of the World and meditation (the meditation is accessed through a QR code) chocolates when on vacation in Portland. Took them to a friend's dinner party when I got home to share, cut very small pieces as the shop person suggested, and no one enjoyed them. They were very dry, hard, and tend to be on the bitter side. All were thrown away, $57 wasted.

So beautifully wrapped and well thought out. These are handmade locally. Unique blends, drinking chocolate, ice cream, sleep chocolates, dream journal... so much is on offer here.

The sleep butter (melatonin-free, because I'm not trying to worsen my thyroid condition) is the only natural sleep aid I have found that truly works. I fall asleep quickly, sleep through the night, and have interesting & often lucid dreams. Love coming in to restock my supply, the makers are just lovely!

These are my favorite chocolates in Portland! They are not overpoweringly sweet and have complex and interesting flavors. They also make delicious sleep butters with herbs to aid in sleeping. They taste delicious and work great! I have to restrain myself from eating the whole jar. :) Highly recommended!

Fabulous and beautiful chocolates! I have been enjoying these delicious and nutritious chocolates for over 5 years! They do such a great job and use the best ingredients. I am so glad there is now a store front to buy and try these chocolates. Overtime I go there is a new and exciting flavor. Make sure to try the sleep butter- I like to put it on apples! It helps me have the best rest and wake up rejuvenated!

The unending love for the natural world is shown with each frame. I feel each ounce of effort and time that was poured into the experience, and the sheer charm of the characters and scenery. It's truly an emotion to behold.

The chocolate is complex, tasty, and an adventure with every bite. I suggest having the drinking chocolate. It is so amazingly delicious that you will not be sharing it with anyone!!!
