Excellent coffee with fast, friendly service! Plenty of seating near the stand made it a perfect spot to relax — and we even picked up some locally ground beans to take home.

I’ve enjoyed their roasted beans from Costco — great value and solid quality — so I was excited to try their coffee shop. I ordered an espresso, but it came in a paper cup with no option for ceramic, which already takes away from the experience a bit. Unfortunately, the espresso was extremely sour. I asked if they could remake it as an Americano, and they kindly agreed — but the result was boiling hot and undrinkable at first. It’s not a terrible experience overall, and I appreciate the staff’s willingness to help. But with a little more attention to detail, they could offer a much better in-store experience that matches the quality of their beans.

Stopped at Portland Coffee Rosters at the airport (twice) & at the convention center (once) while I was visiting Portland for the NEA RA last week. When we arrived at the airport on Tuesday, I grabbed their Strawberry Matcha Latte. It was pretty decent, but I could’ve gone for a little more strawberry flavor. 😋 I bought a flavored latte at the convention center at the end of the week that was amazing, but I cannot remember what flavors I had. On our way home on Monday, I stopped and grabbed a white chocolate raspberry hot latte and blueberry bagel before boarding the plane. Both of these items were delicious and our gal waiting on us that morning at 5:00am was a blast and loved our—more so my friend’s—early morning energy!

Ordered an extra espresso shot in my matcha, but it wasn’t added. Disappointing surprise when I opened it on the plane, was really looking forward to that boost. A little bummed! Also bought a bag of beans and a regular latte 😔

Google
We decided to try this coffee since we have never had it. This was at the C gate. I had an americano and the staff were super friendly. No seating area but they did keep their area very clean.

Google
This is for the barista by the name Jim who works at the coffee stand next to gate C15. He made an extraordinary effort to brew me a fantastic espresso, with all the wonderful flavors from the perfect extraction. I've never experienced such a wonderful shot from all my visits to different cafes. Amazing experience and it totally makes my day.

Google
Pro tip: I brought my own espresso mug. Staff loves it! I got my espresso and went to sit in the movie theatre next door. Well situated in the C gates. Yay, Alaska!

The espresso was good, but unfortunately, it was lukewarm and overly foamy this visit. While I don’t frequent this location due to its airport setting, when I do, I expect a hot drink—especially at premium airport prices. Given the cost and the underwhelming experience, I don’t see myself returning. Too bad —- because it was a great place when it first opened. Floors were dirty as the rest of PDX. I do love their roast though, the barista told me it was the St. John’s flavor. I’ll keep making my coffee at home I think though.

Yelp
Beautiful updated space in the new main terminal and a great location just as you leave the airline counters.

Yelp
Great airport breakfast; I got a Marionberry Scone [warmed] with an Iced Chai tea. My total was under $10, good airport prices with great taste.

Yelp
Highlights 1) Friendly Service 2) Open EARLY 3) Gluten-Free Friendly Stopped for a quick coffee and breakfast item before an early flight. I have to say, some airports don't open places (even coffee shops!) until 5am so I was really happy to find several options, including this one, open at 4 am. Service was fast and friendly! The line moved fast, but you can even order from a QR code/Toast app to save time. Gluten-Free and Vegan pastries are available. Thanks PDX airport for making an early morning flight a little more caffeinated!

Yelp
While waiting in the Alaska terminal for our flight home. I had a deep craving for a cold brew coffee. I past Starbucks,, but I could get that anywhere. This coffee spot was calling to me. So a large Cold Brew with while milk went with me on the plane back home. What a treat this was. Nice mellow flavor, no bitterness, just perfect! I will be back to Portland soon anD will mKe it a point to stop for another cold brew.

Yelp
No wonder there was no line at PDX Portland coffee roasters compared to Starbucks right down concourse. Their lemon cake was dry/stale and their coffee is overpriced and blah. One & done!

Yelp
I just had to get one more coffee in before flying out of Portland! After dropping off my luggage and going through security, I made my way to the first coffee shop I saw, Portland Coffee Roasters. There was a line that seemed to move a bit slow. I went on their website and saw I could order online. I placed a drink order, my go-to, oat milk cinnamon honey latte. To my surprise, my name was called within a few minutes of submitting my order. My drink was ready before I could even make it to the counter! The latte was great. They added the right amount of honey and cinnamon powder. Neither one overpowered the other. The caffeine helped me through my busy day of travel. Pro tip: skip the line, order online!

Yelp
Super dark when I asked for lots of milk, can't taste vanilla at all, can't taste any sweetness of Splenda. Wasted my money on the coffee but the lemon bread was good.

Yelp
The best part about flying in or out of PDX is being able to indulge in coffee from Portland Coffee Roasters! I intentionally skipped the long line at Starbucks went for a coffee that I can't get at home. Portland Coffee Roasters had a line also, but it moved fast and my drink was made quickly. I ordered a 16 ounce hot mocha with oat milk. It's creamy and full of rich chocolate and coffee flavor. It's one of the best mochas I've had. They have a simple menu with the standard coffee drinks like americano, lattes, and cold brew. They also have their coffee beans available to purchase. Portland Coffee Roasters has a great loyalty and reward program too. Love this coffee place!

Yelp
Comically slow. Just watched the employees hang out and chat for a full 4 minutes with a line piling up 30 people deep. Took absolutely forever to get coffee and it wasn't even that busy in the airport.

Yelp
Excellent customer service ! The lady at the counter was literally the most upbeat person at the PDX airport at 5 AM in the morning . The lines move fast and your drinks get to you sooner than you can yawn .I got a cardamom cold brew for my hubby and he was extremely impressed but my chai was so bad , I ended up not drinking it at all . Very milky ,very sweet and not at all spicy. The Banana bread was stale and hard ,another thing that ended up not being consumed . Overpriced just like everything at an airport.

Yelp
Coffe is terrible. Service Slow. It's always something. Our POS is down. We're out of paper for receipts. They put the pastries cabinet after the POS so you can't see what you want to eat until you pay so it slows everyone down. Honestly McDonald's coffee is better and tights next door.

Yelp
I have a 6am flight and grateful that This coffee shops is still operating despite of a less busy airport. I ordered a 12oz (small) Vanilla Latte and it was made perfect for my likings. The staff was friendly and efficient. She was working alone but manage it well.

Yelp
We have lots of choices where to buy our coffee at the airport, but not much diversity in how that coffe tastes. A lot of Portland coffee is super acidic - it will curdle cream when you add it. I find that about as appealing as the latest so-bitter-it-will-twist-your-eye-shut IPA everyone is pretending to like. The only way to know is to try them. I won't run down the ones I dont like by name, I'll just let you know that this roaster right here has a more mellow, full bodied flavor. No floral acidity to cramp your stomach and strip your taste buds. It's a bit of a hike down to the end of the C terminal, but it's worth it. Minus stars for the uninspiring pastry case. Safe travels, everyone!

Yelp
Landed at PDX early Friday morning and in need of coffee. Since Portland Roasting Coffee is a staple there, I had to grab some. I ordered myself a latte with oats milk and a croissant. Their menu was very limited for a coffee spot. I was surprised they didn't warm my croissant, which most places do. There was nothing special about the coffee that would make me want to come back. The drink itself was more milky than I had wished for. I ended up drinking half and then chucking the rest. If you can, go to a local shop instead. There's a ton of great spots in the area that have better coffee.

Yelp
I thought I'd try Coffee Roasters because I love local shops, but man, my vanilla latte with oat milk was undrinkable. I don't think there was anything wrong with how the barista made the drink, I think it's my preference on the coffee they use, very bitter taste with an artificial vanilla aftertaste.

Yelp
Out of Portland's huge selection of fabulous coffee, Portland Coffee Roasters lands high on my list. I love this little stand that hangs out at the end of Terminal C. It's hard to resist grabbing a pastry and coffee when the strong aroma fills the entire terminal. The blueberry cream cheese croissant ($4.00) perfectly pairs with a small cup of PRC's French Blend. They've been serving this brew for 20 years now and managed to keep it's flavor consistent throughout the many changes the company has endured. I ended up grabbing a bag as well to enjoy the complex, smokey flavor at home. It's only $17.00 for a 12 oz sack of beans, totally worth the rich taste from the comfort of your home.

Yelp
Such a lovely local alternative to get your morning caffeine fix. The regular drip coffee and breakfast sandwiches are fantastic! Much less crowded than the Starbucks at the other end of the terminal -- and much better!

Yelp
Anemic. Weak. Nothing special. So sorry but it's partially it's location, the airport. Mine was a black drip coffee and I'd hoped it would be thick and robust but it was really just a very average coffee. Originally I inquired about a pour over so I could request a specific type but this location says they are too busy to provide p/o's. Again, black coffee with nothing else added and it was just very mediocre. If you dress up your coffee (cream, sugar) this location may most work for you. Otherwise try some of the other places in Portland Intl.

Yelp
Your run-of-the-mill airport coffee shop. The pricing here is good however, lower than what you'd probably expect. I was a bit disappointed that my order was wrong, they did offer to remake it, but I didn't want to waste it so I took a hot drink over a cold one. That being said, the latte was good.
google avatar

Joe K.

Yelp
I was pleased to see they have Vegan options here. They have pre made Vegan breakfast burritos that are quite good. In the display case they also have vegan muffins and treats. I didn't try any of the caffeine options but they certainly look tasty. The service was quick and friendly. I certainly will be back when I'm passing through the airport.

Yelp
I was thinking yummy and got delicious tasting blended coffee that was just fantastic. I was curious if Portland brew was close to seattle brew. Turns out a tie. To my disbelief. The presentation is nice. Clean. Safe distanced. Marked. Touchless transaction. Friendly customer service. They were knowledgeable about their coffee and recommended alternative add-ons based on my coffee knowledge. Pure caffeine goodness. Vanilla Late, Almond milk, blended. Wow. Just wow. Flavorful bean throughout the blend. Orange hue color as vanilla bean(it is not white colored) add the coffee it becomes a tinted brown and orange base. So delicious and fresh. They ground up the vanilla!!! So yes you have to wait a few more minutes for a tasty beverage. My flight was 2 hrs away and I wanted to sample Portland while there. And that was an awesome decision. Serious coffee/tea fanatics must indulge in this wonderfully crafted place. I will surely order online products.

Yelp
solid. good coffee, nice staff Not much for food, but honestly at the airport I am looking for a red eye Great that you can get local coffee, not Starbucks meh.
google avatar

Javier G.

Yelp
Reasonable prices, and their espresso tastes a little better than Starbucks. That makes it better than most coffee places.
google avatar

Douglas H.

Yelp
I only have one coffee a day, so it was with greatest pain and consternation that I realized there was a Peets just down concourse D from Portland Roasting Coffee, where my espresso tasted like sour dishwater wrung out of a paper towel. Nice people, central location right across from Concourse D&E security. I'm figuring they air roast the beans, which gives it this skanky, sandalwoody lightness, where earthy richness should be, and the overall flavor, when blended with the foam in a macchiato, is uniquely, devastatingly, insufferable.
google avatar

BNJ B.

Yelp
PDX is one of the nicest airports around because they have good local coffee shops in the airport at the normal prices! I got my cup of latte at the one next to Country Cat after security at terminal D/E. The service was good and the coffee is more than decent, and their cups with the bridges of Portland are so cute!!
google avatar

Jacquelyn E.

Yelp
not the best tasting drink. i got an iced chai and literally threw it away after 2 sips. im not sure how it was made and maybe i should have been more specific on making it with milk but it just tasted like water and powder. kind of a waste of $4.

James L.

Yelp
Convenient location right after the D/E security. Had an ok latte with I'm not sure what kind of milk. Didn't taste like whole or 2%, and didn't taste like an alternative like almond. It wasn't bad, just wish I knew what they used by default. And prices for the espresso drinks were ok for an airport. But the food was overpriced, so that's why the mediocre rating. Got a GF bar that cost too much, more than a 16oz latte, for how small it is. I'd go somewhere else for food next time.
google avatar

Annette P.

Yelp
Iced vanilla latte with almond milk was terrible. Staff unfriendly... granted I was waiting while they opened. But a simple good morning would have been nice. When I thanked the barista she just looked at me. Former Oregonian and am used to better from our people. The scone was good. :)
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
This coffee place is located towards the D gates and right after security check points. Great latte and tailored to my 120 degrees.
google avatar

Natasha N.

Yelp
Literally always micro-foam perfection. They don't make it like this in LA. I fly all over and I will hold out for a coffee at the AIRPORT!!! How many airports can say that!?! Like none! I love pdx and I love Portland roasting co!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Happily surprised by this place. It is a great option when flying United at at PDX. I'm used to being upcharged when buying anything inside an airport and my cappuccino was under $4, which is cheaper than other gourmet coffee shops in the city! It also tasted great and the staff was friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service, these guys are a well oiled machine. Once they find out what you want and what your name is they call you by your name which is a unique touch. $3 for a small (12 oz of coffee) they didn't have a dark roast but medium roast wasn't bad. $3 scone. Charming women running the place I'd go back.
