I can't believe no one has found this farmer's market (FM), although to be fair this is only their second year running, and they're still getting working on growing their size and popularity (I saw about 12 booths there last Friday).
It's at the corner of Denver and McClelllan St, just off of Interstate Ave.
They have the standard mix of local farmers, bakers, salsa-makers, and yes, even a Scoops Ice Cream cart that's perfect for a hot summer's day!!! I especially like having another location to get delicious and cheap apples from the local Kiyokawa orchard (they are great for eating raw as well as drying into apple chips!)
I probably won't go here much because I live so far away, but it's nice to know it's there in case I'm in the area (which will be more frequent now that I know Cason's Meat Market is just across the street for my BBQ needs :-)
I hope the neighborhood really takes to this idea and helps it grow into a thriving FM that rivals the likes of the Hollywood or Woodstock versions. Once they get one or two large -scale farm stands that offer ALL the veggies you might need (including lettuce, kale, peppers, cucumbers, onions, zucchini, corn, etc), I think they'll really pick up in popularity.
