If you want local organic foods and vegetables, just come here to shop. It's a nice store with many food options. I saw lots of nuts in the store and I like their bakery section.

We've been members for years and I'm sad to leave this review but I'm also extremely tired of accidentally buying rotten or stale food. Without exaggeration, more than half of the produce we purchase from the Co-op molds within 24 hours. In addition, the last few times I've bought prepared foods (sandwiches), the bread has been so stales it crumbles in my hands after taking it out of its packaging. Finally, we also can't shop here for packaged foods as many packaged foods are marked 1-2$ up from their retail at nearby stores, including the expensive Whole Foods. An example is the canned fish selection. We will continue to shop at the Co-op for bulk foods, which are priced well and seem to be fresh. It's a shame that the largest city in Maine has, IMO, the most lacking co-op. I mean no disrespect to the employees working at the Co-op who are always kind, although sometimes stoned lol.

Really great selection. I found the best quality items in every category and awesome local products, too. I love it when there's a small store where I can find everything that I need - organic, sustainable, and local.

The co-op is selling mini watermelons right now for $2.59 per pound. My son wanted one, so I weighed it, it came in over 6 lbs. Which means that the watermelon would have cost me over $15. I obviously put it back, and my son was very upset. Whoever decides the prices for this co-op, belongs behind bars. Enjoy the world you’re creating, where only the ultra wealthy can afford local organic produce. It’s disgusting.

Really great grocery store! My only grievance is that the PB&J used to be amazing (I know…it’s such a simple sandwich) and lately it’s kind of sad. I think they changed the bread they use, or something.

Nice store with good local organic produce as well as many vegetarian options. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bulk items are great.

Great selection and service. Every time I've had a question or something was amiss, the staff have been super nice. If you live in the neighborhood and visit this place regularly, you notice a lot of good sales on pantry staples and interesting rarities alike. Non-sale prices are roughly the same as WH, and similar to the farmers market on those local farms' ingredients. This store packs a ton of variety in a small surface area, and the only thing I regularly wish they had is wonton wrappers. Which.. maybe they will after reading this review 😄 Great store!

Small market, but it has most things we needed. I appreciated the degree to which the store makes an efforrt to support local farmers. The prices are higher than in most other stores, but the quality is worth the extra cost. I'd definitely return if we lived in the area.
