Portland Gear Hub is amazing! I have a bike that I ride occasionally, but I know practically nothing about basic maintenance and repair. I've dropped in twice with a tire issue and a seat adjustment gone horribly wrong, and the staff were wonderfully helpful and patient. They speedily fixed the issues at a reasonable cost. Also, my teen recently needed a bigger bike, and he found one he loved in their used inventory. Such a better experience than buying from a box store! Best of all, they are a nonprofit doing great things in the community. I can't say enough good things about Portland Gear Hub!

The Gear Hub staff are wonderful and highly professional. Jesse diagnosed the issues with my cargo bike, was up front about the work he would do, and fixed everything all in the same day.

An amazing place to support in the local Portland community. Donate your used bicycles, and they will have trained mechanics thoroughly inspect and repair (or recycle the ones that don't make the cut) each one for resale at fair prices. This is a great charitable way to support your community, and simultaneously help to reuse/recycle older bikes that would have normally been considered as waste. Great people doing great things here!

To the staff at Portland Gear Hub in Portland, Me. Thank you for the service of my bicycle and also for the bike pajamas I picked up today. I will be back for bike service and purchases for sure. 👍 🚴‍♀️🎇🤩 Namaste, Ruth Kirkwood. PS I will post reviews about your fantastic business on FB and other venues as well.

I went to bike bonanza today and Becket was so helpful. I can be a little picky and he was so patient with me, he helped me find a perfect bike for me and my budget. As a newbie he explained everything very well (and not in a mansplain bike bro way). I walked out with a bike and a lot of knowledge. I highly recommend going to gear hub or bike bonanza as they are so helpful and knowledgeable. Excited to take onto of gear hubs classes soon!

I can't recommend Portland Gear Hub enough - they did a complete overhaul of my uncle's road bike for me and it came out better than I could have imagined. This was a multi-part project with disassembly and prep for the paint shop (Paragon Powder Coating in S. Portland), upgrading/swapping out parts, and complete re-assembly. I am so impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and overall enthusiasm for this project every step of the way. Gear Hub will certainly remain my bike shop for all my future bike needs. Thank you to Brian, Ainsley, Digory, and the rest of the gear hub crew!!
