Excellent local brunch spot that is also BYO. The owner is a riot. Don't expect to be coddled. The food is excellent and arrives in good time. Definitely an excellent neighborhood brunch stop and deserves​to be visited whenever one is in the neighborhood. Also, if you have a dog, they get free bacon

Very fun interior with various trinkets and trivia cards in cups. Staff is super friendly and attentive. This is a small shop, expect a bit of a wait. Black Dawg is ok, rather get the supremely large chicken and waffle or the gorgeous rib eye entree. Enjoy the dishes with a side of spicy sauce (red is the hottest and is present in the shrimp and eggs dish).

The Yo Cuz is a treasure. Bacon waffles with glazed fried chicken sandwiched in-between.

House turned cafe, so very very limited seating. I called and ordered ahead for pick up ( a breakfast sandwich) on a Sunday morning. Showed up 20 min later, they hadn't even started my order, so I had to stand and wait which was super awkward in such a limited space. When I finally did get my order, I checked it in the car, the sandwich had no top! So I had to go back and wait again for them to fix it. The owner apologized, and the food was pretty decent. The sandwich was just thrown in a Styrofoam container, along with this mixed veggies/onions/potato hash type thing. As a result, the hash got all over the bread and made it a little soggy. Next time I'll ask them to wrap the sandwich or put the hash in another container. Overall good, but has room to improve.

Always love coming here, great place to take your kids if they get bored since they have a bunch of toys for everyone to play with. I really like coming here with my siblings, the staff is super friendly and owner is amazing at what she does. Though the place is small it's really cozy

SUch a great atmosphere and generous portions of food! I got the Yo cuz and gorged myself on only HALF of it! The staff is hilarious and will joke around with you. This is not the place for the faint of heart as sometimes the conversations can get abrasive. It is a bit toned down when children are present and they have a great program that allows kids to bring in a toy and leave with a different one! One of my most favorite spots during my visit here.

great brunch/lunch spot that caters to families w/ kids! happened upon it when my brothers' family visited, including a 4 year old and a 1 year old. staff was incredibly accommodating for our bulky stroller, sweet to the kids and went above and beyond to provide dinosaur toys to occupy the kids, complimentary yogurt w/ kiddie spoons to keep the kids occupied and sippy cups, kiddie utensils to make the entire trial of going out to eat w/ kids that much easier. food was solid (nothing to write home about), but the overall experience was excellent - i will be going back again soon.

Great food with unique pairings. The place is very small but quaint. The pricing on the menu that is available online has not been updated in a very long time or is not accurate so ignore all that nonsense. The price was worth it though! You do get a lot of food
