Really good liquor store close to Ocean Drive but away from it's crazy prices. Good selection of liquor, fair prices, clean and quiet place. They also do have all types of mineral water (like Fiji), energy drinks and soft ones. Plus delivery up to 10th street. And yes, they can deliver to your hotel room. DC prices in South Beach Miami is incredible.

I felt unwanted, the staffs words were friendly but the tone suggested that they don't care about the customers. The wineselection is good but far from what you expect for such a location. For example a good selection of Montrachet but not one Le Montrachet. They have good prices for the location maybe 30% higher than in the north of Miami, so the prices are good.

Had the most excellent experience today at this store. James helped us pick out an excellent vodka and his professional assistance was only exceeded by his enjoyable personal demeanor. Not from Miami, but will be returning to Portofino Wine Bank soon, and I can only hope James is there again.

Definitely recommend ordering online and doing curbside pickup. The in-store prices are 20%-50% more.

I stopped into Portofino Wine Bank this weekend to get some libations for a picnic at nearby South Pointe Park. A liquor store is a liquor store is a liquor store, but PWB goes beyond in the range of beverages they offer, from wine to rum and bubbly. I'm partial to rum, and found what I was looking for (Captain Morgan Private Stock). Since the party guests wanted bubbly, the clerk gave me a good recommendation on Prosecco. They were also helpful in packaging it so as to not upset the silly over regulation of blue laws :) Prices were very reasonable, and the store looked clean and well-maintained. There are a couple of street parking spots up front, or you can Uber over.

Dear Portofino Wine Bank, Wow, with the countless times that I have been here for my beach day necessities, its shocking to me that this is the first time I review it, let alone the rest of Miami! :) That being said, let me begin. Portofino, you have always been there to save the day, rescue a woman in need, and provide sufficient amounts of alcohol for everyone in SoFi to have a good time. I have never encountered a lack of anything within your walls and have never been told no. Two very special qualities which all business should replicate! Had an impromptu Beach Day on Saturday, and of course we just showed up to the beach, unprepared. However, within minutes we were walking to the sand, armed with cooler and all. A bag of ice, 3 red bulls, 2 lemonades, and a bottle of cranberry juice, along with the bottle of Kettle One and the cooler, all came out to just over $50 (I think the total was $55). A tad pricier than most liquor stores, but you can't beat the convenience of being just yards from the actual sand. Your customer service is always on point, with all of your staff being knowledgeable and helpful to answer any question. You have a great selection of products, with tons of wines, champagnes, and of course spirits. I even saw this drink that we had at a Yelp event called Nuvo (some pink sparkly girlie thing). All in all, this is a great place to stop for any last minute beach needs. Thanks for always coming through and hooking a girl up!!! Til the next beach day... All the best, SabrinaAnna* PS. I live in the neighborhood and love this place for its great selection. A few times I've had great customer service and a few times the person working there hasn't even paused on the phone while ringing me up to say thank you or engage with me at all. I'll give it a few more shots as I would prefer to support local, but Total Wine up the road also has a great selection, a loyally club and ALWAYS great customer service.

For convenience in the South of Fifth area, Portofino Wine Bank wins. But if you're looking for a great deal on beer, wine, and liquor, you're much better off going elsewhere. They have a pretty well-stocked selection of cold beers and chilled wines - whites, roses and champagnes. The wine selection is pretty overwhelming, and doesn't seem to be well organized (at least from my perspective). They also have a selection of snacks - chips & crackers, chocolate, and even a refrigerated cooler in the back with some meats and cheeses. They also sell some of the best smoked fish dip I've ever had - Smilin' Bob's. But be sure to check expiration dates, as they don't turn their stock over as quickly as they should. They deliver in the immediate vicinity in a Wine Bank-designated golf cart. Not sure of their range, but definitely a helpful service to have if you live in the surrounding area. Again, prices are a bit on the high side, but that should be no surprise in the South of Fifth area.

We were regular to this place. But we will never come back here again. I felt I was being racially profiled today. I felt very uneasy and I left. As I walked away, it really bothered me. I wanted to know if the worker was really profiling me. I walked back. I asked the guy. His answers and his attitude pretty much confirmed it. I talked to the manager, and I could see where he got his attitude from-the manager. Their attitudes were actually worse than being profiled. We ended up ordering from Total Wine, which is only a few blocks away. Please stop treating people by the colors of their skin. When you do that, it takes away your humanity and not my. #Karma.

Very convient place if you live in the area. Huge selection. Prices are well above Publix, but not bad for a premium liquor store. My only complaint is the $10 minimum credit card charge, NO EXCEPTIONS! Kind of lame since I frequent the place often.

Please answer your phone during business hours. Just called about 3 times in the last hour. Trying to buy a bottle of Inniskillin and just get an answering machine. Really?? I will, however, give you kudos for even carrying ice wine and staying open past 9:00 PM on weekdays unlike Gulf Liquors. So, bottom line, thanks, but please answer your phone so I don't have to drive over all of the time, especially when the delivery golf cart is parked out front and there's more than one person working in the store, no evident crowd and premium beach pricing to be paid. Locals actually get tired of paying tourist prices AND getting bad service at the places they help to support year-round, you know...

There is no local shop for wine and spirits that compares to the Portofino Wine Bank. The selection is great, there's always a unique bottle or two and the staff is hands-down awesome, all-the-time. I'm all about convenience and a huge proponent of supporting the local establishments, this alone would make the Portofino Wine Bank great. But what is exceptional is the knowledge and experience. When you walk in, you are greeted by name and offered a recommendation or two based on your palate preferences. Greg and the guys really do a great job of servicing the local neighborhood with a personal touch. Many of us call them and say, just give me a case of wine in this price range and they choose the bottles. On occasion they will offer wine classes and those are educational and fun. The owners are very personable and often in the store. It's just fantastic! I love this place oh so very much.

LOVE this place. My boyfriend and I frequently get our wine from here- and they make it SO easy. You can go in if you'd prefer, but if you live in the south of fifth area they deliver! All you need to do is give them a call, they will ask you how much you'd like to spend, how many bottles you're looking to buy, some questions about your wine preferences, and 15 min later your wine is delivered. The staff is friendly, and we've never had a problem in the 2 years we've used them. Definitely worth a shot.

The best service. I am from out of state and needed an order delivered . Rick was so knowledgeable , and helped me make some great choices. Easy to get the order set up and delivered! Great people!

Their website boasts about selection but really it's quite lackluster, not much help from the inexperienced staff distracted by their iPhones the whole time rather than help w/ our wine or liquor selection. It's a basic wine and liquor store w/ very little else....

ok i am craving a chardonnay and think hmm i haven't been to portofino wine bank and it's right here, let me pop in. i stop by and ask for an organic chardonnay (i didn't want sulfites.) i am shown a few different choices & price points. i, trusting soul or fool or schmuck, take advice, plus didn't read the back label, plus, i switch to a chablis! that supposedly is delicious, organic and has been for years. $29.99 drouhin vaudon chablis 2008. i will admit nice, fruity, minerally taste which was pleasant, however ... MAD, crazy headache the next morning after only 2 petite glasses! i went straight to the fridge and took the bottle out. nothing organic about it and sulfites! specifically asked for organic and mentioned i didn't want sulfites. man! what in the mother muchacho H. E. double toothpicks? lesson learned though if something is suggested read from top to bottom, front and back! sometimes you want something new and want to trust. boo! on the price, too. $9-10 over what everyone else charges for this bottle. rude! huge selection and convenient. stick to what you know you love when you shop here and prepare for a higher price is my conclusion. carry on. cheers. :)
